Bella Vista

We stayed in a very nice guest house, very close to the beach, bars and restaurants and our hosts Chaz and Kelly were very hospitable and couldn't do enough for us, the shark themed room was fun as well, my daughter loved it!!!!

No complaints, bit of a mix up with our arrival time but that was my fault - sorry Chaz and Kelly

We had a lovely three-night stay with our four-year-old. Chaz and Kelly were so warm, friendly and helpful. The room was spotlessly clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. We had a beautiful sea view, and the location was perfect — close to the beach and everything the town has to offer. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend!

Bella Vista is situated in a great area just off of the seafront and the high street. The rooms are very comfortable, clean, and well decorated. The bed was soooo comfortable!! The bathroom was spotless. Chaz and Kelly are fantastic hosts and made the stay very comfortable ☺️

There isn’t anything to dislike

Had the best 3 day stay. Guest house and rooms were absolutely spotless very clean and comfortable. These owners really care and have went out of their way to accommodate everything you could possibly need providing a real home from home experience. From walking in the door we receive the warmest of welcomes with tips and advice on the area. As for the rooms comfy beds, clean fresh bed linen and bright clean decorated rooms. Fridge, fans, night lights, charging points room has everything you could possibly need. With being 1 street back from the main road the place is perfectly situated for quietness and a 2 minute walk to the pub/playpark/beach. 5 minute walk left or right to the pier or harbour - couldn't ask for better!! Would gladly recommend to anyone and not think twice about returning!!

The hosts were fantastic, so welcoming and friendly. Great location for the guesthouse, yet nice and quiet, and easy check in, check out.

I loved the location, very close to the sea but in a square off to the side of the main street. The owners greeted me and were very welcoming. They ensure that you feel confident about asking if there is anything you need but keep a discreet distance . I felt perfectly at home and could come and go as I pleased. I was in Paignton for the literary festival.

There wasn't anything I didn't like. I opted for a standard single room as I was travelling solo. I had a private bathroom .. not en -suite... I had my own key so it was for my own personal use. It was only just along the landing and a dressing gown was provided for guests' convenience. I only mention this so that future guests are aware and may prefer to book a different room. All twin rooms have ensuite facilities.

Rooms just as expected from pictures with well equipped rooms for a holiday stay. Very clean and very well situated for visiting the seaside. Pleasent and accomodating hosts. Would be happy to stay there again.

There seem to be fewer parking spaces then rooms available. But this wasn't a problem when we were there and the hosts seemed happy to help solve any issues if need be. Possibly some window handles could be tightened up but this is just nit picking

Our hosts were really lovely. Location was really handy, short walk from everything. Parking also a winner. Room was very clean and very bright. Loved how on the landing there were games and things to use during the stay, excellent idea, especially as I forgot my pack of cards!

Breakfast option would have been nice but for the reasons of my stay its really no big deal so would have just been a bonus, thats all. Definitely not a reason for me to not come back

The property was clean. It felt safe despite being in a prime tourist area. It was quiet and the bed was comfortable.

The private bathroom to the single room was not en-suite.

I was greeted by Chaz the owner, who helped carry my bags up to my room, where he explained all about the facilities. The rooms (in both cases - as I was lucky enough to book an extra two midweek nights beyond my planned three night weekend break) were superb in all respects. All rooms are very private and quiet. My beds were very comfy. I had the best sleep that I've had in months. Everything clean and tidy. Chaz and his partner Kellie were both very friendly, helpful, attentive, and showed great attention to detail in preparing the rooms and the property for visitors. But they also let you go about your own business without interruption. Bella Vista also has it's own private - free - off road parking area for some 10-12 vehicles. A tremendous money saving bonus all year round. Your room is just a 5 minute walk from the beach (with safe swimming for all ages), shops for gifts and all your essentials. Good entertainment, food and drink venues, and main shopping area are within a 5 to 15 minute walk. The many cafes, pubs, restaurants, and fish & chip shops in Paignton cater for everyone and all budgets. I felt my stay at Bella Vista was like a 'home away from home', which I will return to as soon as work allows. Over the years, I have stayed in some awful places and some 'top notch' places, but I am very pleased to say that Bella Vista has to be the best I have visited. I will not look for anywhere else to stay when I'm next in Devon. If they are booked up, I will wait and change my dates! You can book with absolute confidence. You will not be disappointed! (But please leave some space for me before 2027!). DB9

lovely check in quick and very friendly. Information about the area was given during cjecl om. 3 fans were provided as it was hot. Chaz and his lovely wife were amazing really friendly and kept a lovely b&b. our bed was really comfortable and clean. emptied our bins daily and fill our tea and coffee too. great hosts.

Lovely hosts, very friendly and quiet guest house. No breakfast included but I didn't need a breakfast as so many eating options in the town. Everything is just a few minutes walk away.

I have nothing to complain about.

Chez and Kelly were amazing. The weather was so hot we arrived back after a walk sat outside shattered and Kelly brought us out a jug of cold water just what we needed. My husband car wouldn't start and chez phoned a few places for us so we could get a new battery. Nothing was to much trouble for them. All being well will definitely be staying there again

Location was central to all Amenities and Beach so Perfect. Hosts were fantastic and couldn't be more accommadating ,even though they tried! Breakfast not an option as Room Only basis but Hosts pointed us in direction of several lovely Breakfast Options in walking distance and this suited us very well as we aren't early breakfast fans.

The location was bob on as everything was walking distance and it’s probably one of 3 places to stay that have guaranteed parking which was a big plus for us as we were driving. Chaz was also very friendly and welcoming and showed us all the facilities and made the check in really easy.

Probably the only issue with our stay would’ve been the WiFi. We tried connecting to both that were available but unfortunately they didn’t work as we would’ve hoped.

Say nav sent us around the block several times and the Guest House was in the middle, un beknown to us!

Very welcoming. Lovely couple, lovely room. Above and beyond with the home felt feeling. I honestly can't wait till our next visit. Hopefully for a longer stay. For the price the Bella Vista has been the best stay I have ever had in Paington. Will be back very soon. If vacancies permit. Much love to Chaz and Kelly!

A lovely welcome from Chaz who made us feel right at home and offered to change our room to one on the first floor rather than the second. A 2 minute walk to the sea front and close to a variety of places to eat. The mini fridge was a nice touch that we appreciated. We would definitely recommend staying here and plan to do so in the future. Thank you Chaz and Kelly, your hospitality was amazing. 🙂

Great little Guest House. Central to everything. Off the main road in a cute little Square. I came by train and was only 5 mins walk from both train and bus station. Quiet except spot. Met by the hosts who are friendly and informative. Couldn't do enough. I was upgraded from a single to a double front room over looking the grassy garden area which was a lovely surprise.Great room had everything you needed. Small fridge which was a good bonus. I would certainly return here it was certainly great value. I didn't have the breakfast but from previous photos and reviews looked lovely.

the room was absolutely amazing the bed was super comfortable the décor was lovely the bathroom with the shower was just so incredible and i just loved every minute of being there i didn't want to leave, will definitely be returning again soon, Chaz and Kelly were just wonderful and friendly too they were very helpful too. the location of it too was just so easy to get to we were 5 minutes from the train station/town centre and 2 minutes walk from local pubs and places to eat and its a 2 minute walk the beach too its all so amazing lovely quiet area too definitely the little break I needed to get away from stresses of life I felt like I could just finally relax.

in my honest opinion nothing it was all so amazing the only thing i would change was my length of stay but as it was mine and my partners first holiday together and my first holiday in general i just wanted to see what it was like but other than that nothing needed to be changed and i will definitely sign up for the breakfast next time we stay

Kelly and Chaz are great hosts.. they put up birthday banners for my partner and had our room ready early for when we arrived! We have already booked to go back! Would highly recommend!

The couple who owned the property were lovely and very helpful. I really appreciated how they organized a surprise for my wife. The room was clean, there was plenty of storage space and the shower water pressure was good.

We enjoyed our stay at Bella Vista. We received a very warm welcome from Chaz on arrival. He remained courteous, pleasant and helpful during our visit. We didn't require the breakfast, which we could have ordered, even though it all sounded very appetising. Our room was immaculate, with extremely comfortable bedding and a good firm mattress. The en suite was spotless. Both rooms were very light and airy, with net and curtains in the bedroom, and a roller blind in the en suite. Parking was on the adjacent green, with no problems at all. We wouldn't hesitate to stay at the Bella Vista again.

Our stay at this delightful guest house was perfect. All things considered, we enjoyed it immensely.
