Property was very unclean and tatty bird shit on kitchen table and carpet worktops etc very unclean wasn’t anything like in photos when made booking place was dropping to bits noise was ridiculous from other guests in rooms right through the early hrs fire alarms etc damaged windows were useless and blinds mostly broken by the beginning of the second day myself and elderly mother decide to leave the property and go book else where which then cost myself a further 250 for the remaining two nights I will never book a stay with this company or any there property’s ever again

The location

It was filthy, a pool of vomit in the entrance which was there for two days and still there when we left. Dirt in kitchen cupboards, the fridge handle, the bathroom, the bath a health and safety hazard the side much too high, no slipmat, threadbare bath mat. The bin below the outside stairs was also filthy.

Dishes not cleaned properly, cigarette burns on lounge carpet, coffee table unfit for purpose the glass on the top was not secured, pillows passed their use by date, bed very uncomfortable, access to Internet Cr@p, wooden spoon minging, sponge looked like the floor had been used to wipe the kitchen floor.

Location was good and central

The accommodation was not particularly clean and had a strong odour of drains. There was clearly a problem with the sink in the kitchen area if the sitting room as well as the shower which almost overflowed. Ended up buying bleach and room freshener to get us through our stay!

Good location. Spacious apartment and reasonable price. Keycode entry so easy to check in and out

Furniture was basic and tired. Room a little soulless if staying more than 1 night. Some areas need a bit of tlc and minor maintenance (new sealant needed in shower and seals of shower screen needs replacing.)

It was very clean, beds were quite comfortable and it was relatively central. It was excellent for the money !

Finding a parking space was hard, but to be expected I suppose, being we are getting on a bit there were a lot of stairs and it would have been good to know that beforehand.

The apartment was lovely and clean, beautiful view of the Abbey and sea.

The Dunes apartment is big and spacious, equipped with everything 2 people needed. Great location. The key pads are easy to use and not have to worry about losing a key or forgetting to take it or lock the front door if needed. Also when I rang help to locate the apartment the lady I spoke to was extremely helpful and provided excellent customer service. Also the luggage storage they advertised is excellent too as we had arrived in Whitby at 11am but couldn't check in till 3pm so we stored our luggage for £10 till we could check in.

The postcode takes you to the wrong apartment block. At night you can hear the foot steps of the apartment above when going to sleep not great for a light sleeper. Also I was sent the link for early check at 6am on the morning of the check and when I rang to make sure if I could booked early check in via link I would be guaranteed it but had expired.

Very Uncomfortable beds, fridge stunk, microwave didn't work and oven door fell off. Apartment grubby, sheets on beds paper thin and pillows old and lumpy.

Great location near all amenities. Spacious. WiFi worked fine for us. We had everything we needed. Plenty of tea, coffee, etc provided. The bed was clean and comfortable. Great views of iconic Whitby view from kitchen and lounge velux windows. The shower worked fine. Plenty of toilet roll, soap, and shower gel provided. There is plenty of room for four, although only two of us. Not 'The Ritz', but OK for an economy stay.

We had to phone to locate the apartment. We didn't see 'Waves' (our specific apartment) mentioned anywhere on the booking info. Not easy to find. Main complex was easy to find, but not specific apartment. Absolutely NOT suitable for anyone with mobility difficulties. The outside metal staircase was very dark at night, which felt scary and quite a hazard. Some of the furniture and all carpets could do with a refresh. I had to lean sideways to access my side of bed due to the sloping roof. Quirky! There was the biggest cobweb I've ever seen in the bathroom above the sink. The towels had an odd odour and didn't smell fresh.

I did not get the parking disc for which I paid £10

The facilities was like going back to tge 90s everything was so outdated apart from the tv. The rooms had fresh towels in apart from the used one on the door and the bathmat was socking wet. The bedrooms hadn't been cleaned, there was reminds of kfc chicken on the floor from the last occupants answer as empty crisp and chocolate packets under the bed, and last a used plaster on the living room couch. As for the sleep, I have stayed at alot of B&Bs, hotels, guesthouses and hostels but this must have ben the worst mattress iv ever slept on, the springs are all clearly past there use by date and need updating. This is 4x the price of a travel lodge. Wouldnt stay again unless renovated

There is no blind in the main room . The blind in the other room is broken. The windows is full of seagull’s poop and very dirty. The door knob in the main room is broken. The drawer in the 2 beder room is broken .

Dirty fridge , plastic bag froze into freezer, not hoovered, filthy blocked shower drain which we had to clean hair etc out, crumbs in cutlery drawer, cobwebs round ceiling , bulb missing in bedside lamp, cheap thin mattress , could feel springs in side, no lighting to come up metal stairs from street,very basic for price, noisy !

Great 2 night stay if we didnt need to get back would of loved to extend and stay longer. Home from home everything you need. Bed lovely and comfy, shower was amazing. Good location abit of a hill to walk coming bck but a only a short 5min walk to town and beach. Clean and spacious defo be returning.

The stairs leading upto apartment in my opinion are quite dangerous, steep metal steps with holes in and large gaps in between steps. If you have a dog wouldnt be able to walk up or heeled shoes. Also no lighting so very dark dimly lit by street lamps.

The location is great.

The directions to the location. The building isn't signposted as Clarkson St apartments and the map link leads to a different building on the other end and side of Clarkson st. The property was through an unmarked doorway that leads to a back yard. On the back wall of the house, about 15 feet high, is a small sign that lists the apartments by name. The WiFi didn't work and the mobile signal in the area is poor, bear this in mnd if you plan on having contact with anyone else. If you're happy to go dark, this location will suit you. The kitchen counter was sticky and the place could do with a deep clean. The apartment is very roomy but all the furniture is small. There is no ventilation or window in the bathroom. The fan didn't come on at all. There is nowhere to hang towels despite the large size of the bathroom. You can hear other guests coming and going, conversations in the stairwell and people walking around in the rooms above. The bed was not fit for purpose. The middle beam was bowed/bent so much that you can't help but roll into the middle, in a standard double bed, this got uncomfortable for us very quickly. Also had to put the slats back into position and they had moved and some had fallen onto the floor. I called customer services on the number provided, somebody with a poor US accent rad some apologies from a script and told me there was nothing that could be done. No maintenance person to fix the bed, no replacement and no other available property. They would make a report about each of my issues though. Nothing was done to fix them. I was also sent a questionnaire to explain these issues again, maybe they didn't believe me the first time. The place is rented out with the minimum effort possible going into the upkeep and it shows.

The apartment was great value for money and quirky. The layout and facilities there withing the apartment were great. Parking was close enough and the view across to the Abbey were good and it was also a nice walk down to the harbour side, walking back up wasn't to bad either, the hills were steep, so great for active people, however elderly and disabled may struggle with the location.

The stairs coming into the property weren't lit at night and someone had broken the catch plate off the front door to get into the building, so you could just pull the door open without using the codes. The stairs in the apartment were also very loud no matter how we walked up them, so we were concerned about the noise for other residents in the same apartments.

Basic accommodation for a cheap price, 2 bedrooms, lounge area with TV and WiFi, kitchen with facilities (toaster, fridge, cooker, microwave, plates etc)

I had asked for a lower level apt if possible however I was on the 3rd floor , fair enough. However , the lower stair is wrought iron and is gridded and as I have a dog I had to lift and carry him up these stairs as his paws went through the grids . He is quite heavy and I am nearly 70 .

My dog couldn’t walk up the metal stairs outside because they hurt her paws. She’s a medium sized dog so carrying her up and down them was not easy! They should have mentioned in the details that they’re not suitable for dogs to walk on.

We paid more for charges for two dogs than the actual room fee. I'm not sure what the dog feels covers as we were there for one night and they were created and made no mess. Finding the room is a bit ridiculous. The name of the booking didn't reflect the name of ten room. The booking said the street name not the room name. There was a map attached to the building where the accomodation is but the name of the room on the booking wasn't on it. We called the number and they didn't even know how to get to the room and just repeated the name of the room on the booking. We managed to ask a cleaner who explained what the actual name of the room was. We was still confused and had to climb a flight of stairs to find the room name. It's up two flights of stairs. Also the parking is very frustrating as your pass is in the room but you need to park to get it. The bedroom is very hot in the summer

Everything,the location was great, the apartment was spacious and clean with everything we needed. Fresh milk in the fridge and laundered towels in hygienic wrap fresh from the launderette. We parked on silver street car park which was about one minute walk to the apartment. There is an amazing vintage Italian called The Rusty Shears around the corner too which has the best pizza we have ever had

The inconsiderate noisy neighbours who banged about at all hours like elephants and argued loudly at 2am..

On hot days, the lack of windmills is unfortunately hard to endure. The bedding was not suitable for sleeping in the heat because it rustled as if it were made of foil Unfortunately it will help not on such pillows resulted in immediate sweating

Ideally located in Whitby. It’s a short walk to everywhere. The views from our accommodation were stunning. It was clean and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. I will definitely be booking here again.

Nothing negative about the property. There was disturbances on one evening for a few hours from the guests in the flat below, loud shouting and police in the building but that isn’t a fault of the accommodation.

Trying to find the location was difficult. I’d recommend having notes say - down the alleyway you’ll see a large blue sign with room names (Waves for example). Then outside where they are. For example waves is in apartment block 3 - 8

Nothing as it was not what we booked or seen on the website. We only stayed there for a few minutes then went straight back home.

Alleyway to the property, access to the property via staircase. The front door looked like it had been kicked in and door code was difficult to use. The whole flat was dirty, it was not the same description as on booking. Com. Very strong smell of urine through out the flat. These comments apply to SILVER STREET although you make reference to CLARKSON STREET?

Location was perfect and easy to find. Plenty of space on the living room and bedroom. We had no problems with TV, didn’t need the WiFi as we had 5G signal. Comfy sofa.

There were a couple stains in the bed and curtains, could have been a tad cleaner. I picked a piece of rubbish off the floor when I walked in but it’s no big deal. The bedding and pillows seamed to be made from polyester so it was really hot at night.

There were some maintenence issues not resolved meaning 1 bedroom door no handle to close ! Bath/shower could do with grab rail & bath mat dangerous due to height of bath side . Kitchen lacking in utensils when eating in had to wash knives if needed for other use ie spreading bread during meal and no sharpe knives to prepare with . Mirror lights not working in bedroom

I liked everything except access to the apartment. It was clean and comfortable, close to the sea and bus station.

Administrator of the property provided me with the wrong password and I couldn't get into my apartment in spite of it was much later than 3pm what is mentioned as check in time. I wasn't the only one there with this problem .... Thanks to the lady from the next door we've got a new code and I finally got in having spent much time and nerves :( Also I didn't understand WiFi availability and access. There wasn't provided any WiFi net or password.

Everything was impressive. Better than expected.
