We had a lovely time staying here, the breakfast was spot on, even my son loved their pancakes. The location is perfect for the shops, beach, skate park.

Everything was great. Only thing I'd advise is to upgrade the Tele in the family room. Only because my aunt couldn't watch utube.

Hat den Charm eines älteren B&B, direkt an der Promenade und easy Walk zu den Geschäften und Restaurants.

We loved the breakfast and all the different choices from full English to Burritos and Muffins and Pancakes. The people running the hotel were really nice and friendly and very helpful. The room was beautiful with stunning views and nice seating area in the window. Perfect location for a couple of miles walk either way down to St Mary's light house or Tynemouth. The beds were really comfy and the road out the front wasn't noisy at all at night.

I had to give it 9 out of 10 because we had to ask to retrieve loo roll for two days we were staying their (and milk on the first day) as the rooms were not replenished daily with these. Their were 3 of us staying their so we needed 1 roll a day for the bathroom. But that is honestly the only little thing we didn't like and it hasn't put us off as we will come stay again.

The breakfast was really good and the stuff was very friendly. Close to the centrum, restaurants and shops.

We didn't like the noise from the busy street that was in front of our window and they could be a bit more careful with the cleaning.

Great location. The host is brilliant. She moved all the garden furniture in the front garden area to accommodate our motorcycles. Also gave us a lovely wave off when leaving after a super breakfast.

Rooms could do with a little freshen up but fine as they are for what you pay. We loved this place.

Die Gastgeber waren einfach Top. Das Frühstück war klasse und mit viel Liebe zubereitet.

Für 4 Personen ist das Zimmer eigentlich zu klein. Für eine Nacht ging es schon mal. Der Teppich hat seine besten Tage hinter sich. Das Bad war echt klein und der Abfluss war mit 4 Personen die Duschen wollen leicht überfordert.

The wobby sink in the ensuite and the equally loose toilet roll holder. There is a view but only if you are on the higher floors. The ground floor had a view of the garden & the links which was often blocked by the smokers!

Accommodation was dated and needs some work. Appreciate that is expensive.

The room was lovely and we had a great view out to sea. The owner was really helpful and sorted us a taxi for our evening out and the breakfast was exceptional.

The Cara Guesthouse is brilliantly located right on Whitley Bay seafront. The room was clean tidy and comfortable, and the breakfast was outstanding with a great selection including full English, breakfast burrito with homemade salsa, pancakes or muffins. What a great host too. We will be back for certain.

Everything Marie and Derek were great hosts ... Gave my wife and I a top draw bedroom ... what more can you ask for a view of the sea when you wake up!! Breakfast delicious, absolutely well situated on the front of Whitley Bay right by The Spanish City. A great Car Park to park the car in just a few hundred yards down the road and anybody who has electric car ( like us ) EV Chargers to boot, always useful to know.

This is a Fantastic location and only yards away from the beach. Mariea was very attentive and the staff were great. It was great value for money, the place was clean and tidy, and the breakfast choices were great. I recommend the cooked breakfast. I'd give this place a 5☆☆☆☆☆ rating. Absolutely fantastic and I'd definitely stay again.

It was right next to the beach, right next to everything we wanted to do. Breakfast was lovely. Plenty tea and coffee in the room. And vets comfortable to sleep.

The most impressive thing of this Cara Guesthouse to us is its location. It has the full ocean view without any blockage. The parking is free at the nearby street . The breakfast has so many choices,, the classic English, the wrap type, the English muffins with bacon and eggs, and the American pancakes. Plus coffee/tea/cereal and milk. Very delicious cooking! Breakfast great with an interesting menu. The burritos were very tasty and very filling. Gluten free meal no problem. Great view from the bedroom window a d ideal location handy for everything. Refurbishments in progress did not interfere with our stay.. On street parking just around the corner 50 yds away

More matching cutlery on the dining table would help diners and save work for Mariea during breakfast. More wardrobe/clothes hanging facilities in the bedroom.would be welcome

De gastvrijheid was geweldig.

Het leek erop dat het al wat verouderd was en soms leek het dat alles wel een goede poetsbeurt nodig had.

Die beiden Damen waren sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Die Betten waren sehr bequem und das Frühstück war auch sehr lecker. Alles war sauber und ordentlich. Sogar ein kleiner Kühlschrank war vorhanden.

The carperts are dirty marked . The bedding looked like it was used. In my daughters room there were no towels at all they had to come and knock for ne and my husband to give them a towel.

Both myself and 9 year old daughter absolutely loved it. Such a friendly,warm and welcoming hostess. She made us feel at home from the moment we arrived, right through to when we left(neither of us wanted to leave). The room was beautiful, and the bed very comfy. I honestly had the best sleep ever. The beach is literally across the road. Very close to the amusements, shops and bar. There's so much to do and see. Tynemouth Aquarium is only a drive away. I highly recommend for everyone(especially for families). I absolutely loved the breakfasts. My favourite has to be the freshly cooked American pancakes with Nutella, they are honestly the best I've ever tasted in my life. The full English breakfast was amazing. We enjoyed our stay so much that we will be booking again for May.

Room was very dated and needed all fittings and decorations updating to that new look. Mattress was old and pillows needed changing as they were very lumpy. It could be a lovely property with a bit of money spent.

The location was fantastic, right on the sea front an easy to find. On arrival we were made to feel instantly welcome. The room was nice, we had a sea view which was a bonus and the breakfast was fantastic!

It could do with a bit of a make over in some areas but that’s only a small issue due to me being a clean freak

We upgraded to a family room which had a marvellous view. The room was spacious and comfortable and the breakfast excellent. A bonus for us was a two minute walk to a car park with EV chargers available.

Great location and the host was very pleasant.

Very dated and crying out for a full refurbishment, I need to think back to my RAF days when my room had a sink in it. The shower door was broken with black mould everywhere the shower head constantly fell off the holder, the dining room was not clean with dirty cutlery and crockery. I know the price was competitive, however there is no excuse for poor hygiene in the dinning area. The bedroom was cramped and full of odd furniture. Would not stay again, shame as it has great potential but would need a lot of money to achieve that.

The guesthouse is directly on the seafront & close (but not too close!) to the arcades. The room was lovely and clean and the breakfast was amazing!

Location was perfect, exactly where we wanted to be. Breakfast was delicious, coffee refills and fresh orange. View from our room (top floor) was incredible, morning coffee sat in the window watching the waves and the world go by. Perfect way to start the day.

We had a warm welcome and managed to have an early check in which was really helpful. Our room had amazing views and the beds were really comfy. The breakfast was great and the staff were really friendly and helpful.

We arrived on our motor bike. we pulled up outside on Double yellow lines. I asked where we could park. Without further ado the hotel owner moved the planters in the front garden and we drove through the gate and parked directly in the front garden. Our room directly overlooked the front so we could keep an eye on the bike and we had a lovely sea front view from our window.Thank you so much for that, it is lovely when someone goes out of their way to be so helpful. I would recommend this hotel to other bikers We had a walk around along the sea front and evening meal at the beefeater which was great. Breakfast was fantastic and the host was so pleasant and helpful.

The only slight down side was the amount of traffic on the main road in front of the hotel. However this died down considerably during the evening so it did not disturb us in the night.
