The size of the room was good, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. It is in a very central location.

It was on the second floor and the stairs were quite steep.

This time we had a shower rather than a bath, the shower space was quite small.

Although the location in the high street was great, it was extremely noisy in the early morning with delivery drivers, dustcart etc!

Absolutely gorgeous room. Property in general was lovely and clean and the breakfast was unbelievable.

Characterful place to stay in a great location. I like the fact it’s independent and a little quirky. I’d say it’s somewhere that’s a solid place to stay without the frills of somewhere more premium.

Loved the central location. Check-in was quick and simple, with a warm, friendly welcome. The room was lovely and comfortable, and the bathroom nice and roomy. The bed was big and cosy. We liked the fact we could have breakfast up until 3pm (I.e. after checking out) but found finding a table at 11am a challenge as non-guests were overwhelming the tables.

Breakfast as part of the room cost was a bonus but was a mixed bag: choices of juices/smoothies was good to accompany hot beverages but the Omni was disappointing - all elements were salty and the eggs flavourless, plus far too much bread. We only ate a small amount and had indigestion afterwards.

The location was fantastic right on the high street. But beware traffic very noisy from 0700hrs. The building was historic. Room was large. Breakfast was very good.

The room was large. There was no fridge so the water and complementary chocolate were melted. No air con and the fan was not very powerful. No shower was a major issue, the hand held shower didn't work with no pressure. The room was very noisy had to have windows open. The restaurant area was tired and dirty. But the food was amazing.

It was very hot on the day and it was a bit difficult to sleep but was due to a very unusual hot summer

Breakfast is exceptional. The rooms are above the cafe and the bakery is top notch. The breakfast is both high quality very tasty, including fresh baked bread and fantastic selection; plus generous portions. There’s vegan and vegetarian options. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Location couldn’t be better and staff very helpful.

Large and stylish room + shower. Comfy bed. Coffee/tea in the room was nice. Quiet at the back with a lovely view (we stayed in the Tart room). Good breakfast and friendly staff.

Shabby/messy hall area made it feel like a hostel, which is not what you want considering the price. Badly stained/dirty ironing board. If you leave your bags there you need to be back by 330 (when the cafe closes).

Lovely area and amenities. Free water, tea and coffee in the room and comfortable bed! LOVED the breakfast; waking up with the smell of baked goods is heaven.

We found the duvet too heavy for the current weather and season. Struggled to sleep as too hot with it but cold without. A nice middle ground would have been perfect! Bathroom could do with renovation.

The location is excellent and the breakfast was delicious.

The hotel looks a lot nicer on the photos. Our room was tired and not particularly clean. The bathroom needs re-doing and the carpet needs replacing.

I managed to park outside on the road. The room was very nice...very old building with character. Comfortable bed. Great TV with numerous channels. Breakfast was excellent 👌 😋 👍

Sehr nettes kleines Hotel mit Café und Bäckerei im Untergeschoss. Das Hotel liegt an der Hauptstraße, parken sollte man etwas außerhalb ca. 4 Minuten Fußweg. Nettes kleine Geschäfte und viele Restaurants in der Nähe. Uns hat es gefallen und wir würden wieder kommen.

Quiet and central location. Early delivery noice but that was offset by then delicious fresh bake scents - and the breakfast was superb.

Excellent location right on high street in Rye . Tasty and generous breakfast which is served in brunch restaurant downstairs . Room has coffee machine and good tea . Room was big .

Room could do with a refresh, in particular bathroom - grouting in shower cubicle tiles need refresh , basin had small cracks and paint a bit worn. Bed a bit soft, while some people may like this I prefer firmer mattress .

We loved our stay at the Whitehouse. It was a great location in the middle of Rye. We stayed in the Crumpet room which was really nice and spacious. Loved the huge bath too! The breakfast was very delicious and the staff very friendly.

It was quite warm in the room but I had anticipated this and so bought an extra fan which helped.

We stayed at the Tart room, which was comfortable and cozy. Staffs are friendly and welcome. We were able to bring our dog together for the trip.

The water temperature and pump on the shower was not consistent.

The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, My mobile was malfunctioning so I was unable to see the door code. I was able to check an earlier time, The room was spacious and cool - no mean feat in this extreme heat. I checked out before breakfast was served (high tide was 7.30am) but I was able to enjoy an all day breakfast at lunchtime.

Only 1 bedside light was working. No problem for me as I was a solo traveller. The loo suit swivelled round when you sat on it.

It is located centrally, a short walk from the station. The staff was friendly. The rooms are charming. Plus there is a great cafe downstairs for breakfast, coffee, and early meals.

If I had any quibble, it would be that the cafe/restaurant closes early, by 3pm. Not a real issue as there are plenty of pubs and eateries close by that are open until late.

Fantastic location right on the High Street but still very quiet. Breakfast was delicious and included in the price. Our room, Tart, was delightful. Very spacious and a lovely view. Staff excellent.

We loved how easy it was to find the location, parking nearby is just £3 for 24hrs. The building is beautiful and the rooms are quirky. We enjoyed the decor and tranquility of the accommodation. The breakfast was really nice and the staff really friendly. Highly recommend.

Rigtig god morgenmad og super beliggenhed midt på High Street. Badeværelset var lille men fint. Personalet var utrolig søde og imødekommende. Hotellet og bageriet ligger i et smukt gammelt bevaringsværdig og fredet bygning.

Der manglede airconditioning (ikke muligt i den fredede bygning) og sengen var på den lille side. Med en hedebølge og op til 30 graders varme var det ikke behageligt eller rart.

My room was on the top floor and up steep stairs, not good for my bad back. Lovely claw foot bath that I didn’t use because of my back and insufficient hand rails.

Breakfast was excellent 👌 also the size of the room and the location of the hotel were great!

the hotel entrance, stairs, room and bathroom were very tired. Not refectling the price paid or limited pictures available when booking. The synthetic pillows, cheap loo roll, lino floor and rubbish tv all felt so budget I felt like a total sucker for choosing this place. The breakfast was generous in size and ok quality.

Excellent location in the centre of Rye, friendly staff and fantastic breakfast. Room was spacious with all the facilities we needed, very comfortable bed and minimal noise during the night. We had a very good nights sleep.

The hot water ran out after just one bath both in the evening and morning so one of us had a cool bath both times. Issue was fed back to staff at checkout who said they would pass it on to management.

We stayed in a room in the eaves. Would have preferred a room with shower.

Loved the breakfast, the location is excellent and the room was large. I liked the young dynamic staff, and that we were left to ourselves. Small top ups of tea and water each day also appreciated.

Only the early morning bin collection each day was quitr loud but v little you can do about that.

I travelled with my mum , Auntie, husband and kids as my family came over to England for a visit..we took them to rye and we stayed at the Whitehouse. The whole stay was amazing. Great size room , very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was just amazing.
