Aircondition did not work. Not a big issue as it wasn’t too hot. Yet they couldn’t manage to fit it sustainably.

We didn’t find it that close to the nearest metro station wensan road esp while having to lug suitcases.

Room was very spacious.

Great location, very close to XiHu, rooms are generously sized.

Interiors felt a bit outdated, breakfast room is on the smaller end.

The breakfast restaurant, the gym and the pool are all in a different building which involves taking the lift twice

The space is great - really helpful if meeting friends or travelling with kids to have a lounge area and well equipped kitchen. The staff are friendly and helpful and some speak English.

My family has stayed here twice now and neither time has the bath water been hot enough to enjoy. We were also dismayed to learn that the hotel decides whether the air conditioning is on or not. In this case, 24 degrees inside the room was too warm to sleep well. The staff were helpful and the next day turned the AC on, but nevertheless a room's temperature should be the guests decision not the hotel's - an issue seems much more common in China than elsewhere. The corridors smell smoky...

Front desk employees are good. They try to help the guest. But all of doormen I encountered are mean and arrogant. I don't know why this hotel need any doorman. Tyey don't do anything but staring guests.

The location of the hotel is closed to places of attractions. Breakfast was of average standard.

Maybe the reception staff can be more receptive to answering queries. Pillows were too soft for a comfortable support.

The room is clean and the bed is comfortable. We like that there is a big sofa in front of the TV for us to relax.

The hotel is quite far from town and the west lake region so it took us about an hour to travel to and from town, so that took up some travel time.

Personal services, extra efforts by all who work here. Our home base each time when we are in Hangzhou. Exceptional service and perfect location.

Ac not working on the first and second night. They asked us to open the window instead. Furniture was run down and dusty.

House keeping staff was excellent and accommodating. The front desk staff was very helpful. This is my go-to hotel when I visit Hangzhou annually.

Very nice service and a convenient and comfortable stay

For the family traveling with kids, I love the options of having washer, dryer and kitchen in the apartment. And I also like the gym to continue my routine work out while on vacation. This residence apartments are located in EAC (Europe American Center) which is easily for taxi driver to find. We rarely used public transportation in Hangzhou because taxi is really cheap. And for a family of 4 it is much more convenient to book online vehicle services or just get Taxi. Staffs are very friendly. Rooms are clean and spacious with minor flaws, e. g., toilet seat cover needs to be lowered down when flushing?? Dryer and washer are not separated, it takes 3 hours to dry clothes and clothes still come out damp… Overall I still enjoy the experience in Oakwood apartment. It has everything I need. Didn’t use the breakfast buffet, instead we went out and enjoyed the local food which is more traditional and with more options.

It’s clean, gd value and the staff were all very warm, helpful friendly.

They charge deposit for about 1000 RMB when checkin. They did not just hold the amount but really debit your credit card, while I understand they will refund the deposit upon checkout, loss will be incurred to guests due to difference in buying in and out of exchange rates. That’s not a fair practice. I will suggest the hotel to hold the amount in the credit card as deposit instead and then upon checkout, just cancel the holding amount will be a more fair practice. I think that’s a common practice adopted by many hotels.

We like the washing machine.

No amenities nearby. Not easily assessible without a car. Not within walking distance to underground train station. Bellboy not alert to take our luggages from car upon our arrival at the residence. Room heater too dry. Room doesn't have drying rack for clothings after washing. The drying string in the bathroom is not sufficient.

The design and condition of property was excellent. It is part of EAC, Euro American Center. Breakdast buffet and swimming was excellent, with high end interior finishes for the apartment units. A place to choose in Hangzhou.

Upgraded our room for genius membership. Very spacious with five star facilities. Delicious, sumptuous breakfast with wide range of choices.

Staying at Oakwood Residence Hangzhou served our objective well. We were looking for a hotel that provides washer as we were traveling light. The area is pretty centralised, walkable to the famous West Lake, also have restaurants and convenient stores.

Great service from the front desk

I stayed in this hotel for 4th time. It's close to a lot of places, such as West Lake. Also, many convenient stores and restaurants are around.

This time was the worst. Room cleaning wasn't good at all. Wi-fi barely worked, and there was mold in the bathroom. The tableware was dirty. And there was no holder to dry clothing. I was unlucky this time.

Our choice year after year for our visits to Hangzhou

The hotel's hospitality, the staff was friendly, and the place was clean.

There is not much to complain about the property. I wish I had more time to explore around.

The rooms are great and kitchen well equipped

Reception: No english speaking staff mostly in the evening. Internet in the room not working well enough to be able to work in the evening

The breakfast was good. The staff members working in the restaurant were very friendly and helpful. Finding the way back after breakfast was little difficult the first day. It was ok afterwards.

Just a minor suggestion: The recorded English announcement of each floor in the elevators seems to need a little more work, e.g.,, "Ground Floor" may be better than "G Floor".

Spaciousness

The Staff at the Reception were polite, helpful despite the language barrier. They helped a lot with taxi calling services. The location was close to various dining options. The breakfast was good, value for money.

It was a bit weird that a restaurant on the 4th floor was emptied and there was no staff there to give information if it opened or closed.

Reception staff speaks little english and not helpful. Breakfast need to go across another building making it very inconvenient. Location is in a residential area, not many option for restaurant,

Very nice and clean hotel with nice facilities and the perfect location for the sight seeing.

Stuff doesn't speak English on the level what shall be in such hotel. All communication with the stuff was through the translating apps. We booked a taxi for the check out morning for 05:00am. It was confirmed at the reception but was not taxi in the morning. Only big sorry with a big smile from the receptionist! Luckily got a taxi on the street by myself and got the the airport in time :)

I do not like downtown hotels, so for me the location is just the best you can imagine for a city like Hangzhou.

Stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment on a high floor. Well kept property, everything looks new and clean. Staff were attentive and polite. Downsides : Dryer was faulty but detergent was provided for washer. No laundry basket. Would be helpful if there is a towel rack in the spacious bathroom, the clothes hook behind the toilet door is too high for an average height female. Pillows were too flat and bed too firm. Other than that, would love to return to stay
