La chambre familiale (N°6) est dans un état très vieillot pitoyable et nécessite des aménagements urgents: clenche de porte principale avec des vis qui se décrochent, la douche est très mal fichue (un seul ciel de douche avec un robinet en bas), carrelage cassé, bord de bain avec la céramique très abimée, l'évier a une fissure, le deuxième lit est un lit d'appoint très inconfortable, il faudrait des stores et tentures occultantes. Le prix (220£/nuit) devrait permettre au propriétaire de rénover!!Le petit déjeuner n'est vraiment pas digne de l'Angleterre!

I liked everything except the narrow twisted staircase. But there was a railing, so even with a cane i was able to get up the stairs without much difficulty.

Since the building couldn't incorporate an elevator, the stairs were the only negative feature and that was manageable.

I didn't like that it said breakfast included with the picture of a knife and fork so I was expecting something that you eat with a knife and fork hot food! I don't eat fruit and croissants with cutlery so a little bit let down other than that everything was good

Location was perfect. Parking nearby although if you drive up to the barriers you can push the button and drop luggage off before parking in nearby car park its £16 a day to park. But within walking distance of everywhere. Clean friendly and comfortable

It was a very hot weekend subsequently the room was very hot. A fan was provided but it had to run all night and kept me awake

Friendly staff on reception and doing breakfast each morning. Room was clean and quiet even though we over looked the street. Comfortable bed. Fantastic location for the main sites.

The staff were lovely. The double room was spacious. A good night's sleep as it was quiet.The continental breakfast was fresh and well presented. The location perfect right in the heart of the town. Absolutely loved our stay.

Moquette sporca. Bagno piccolo soprattutto il lavandino. Dispenser difettoso. Rumore dalle strade. Attenzione non c'è Aria condizionata Colazione basic ma molto lenti a fare refill del buffet

De locatie is top. Midden in het centrum, met alle bezienswaardigheden op loopafstand. Restaurants in de directe omgeving. Wij hadden een kleine kamer geboekt en die voldoet prima voor een kort verblijf. Schoon linnengoed en sanitair. In de kamer stond een ventilator, die zeer welkom was met het warme weer. Het ontbijt was prima, soms duurde het even voor zaken werden aangevuld, maar voldoende keuze. Wij hebben op St. Radigund's carpark geparkeerd. Daar wordt bij het oprijden je kenteken gescand en betaal je in principe bij uitrijden. Bij het inchecken bij het hotel kun je via het hotel korting krijgen. Je betaalt de uiteindelijke parkeerkosten aan het hotel, waarna zij de parkeerkosten voor jouw kenteken betalen.

De zijdeur (nachtingang) stond altijd open, waardoor ook andere mensen die niet in het hotel logeerden makkelijk in en uit konden lopen.

Reception on arrival was very good . The room was very clean . The hotel is a very pleasant place to stay . Everything was quiet & calm with excellent access to whatever you might like to do in Canterbury

The produce on offer for breakfast was not quite as good as when I have stayed before , ie no oat milk , no extras like sultanas & banana chips etc to put on your cereal

Von dem Moment an, als wir durch die Türen gingen, wussten wir, dass unser Aufenthalt etwas Besonderes sein würde. Die warme, wirklich freundliche Begrüßung an der Rezeption setzte den perfekten Ton für unseren gesamten Besuch. Der Service während unseres Aufenthalts war makellos. Unser Zimmer (Paris) war wunderschön, mit Blick auf die Straße der Altstadt. Es war makellos sauber und wunderschön eingerichtet, mit einem deutlichen Auge fürs Detail. Zum Frühstück gab es Toast, Joghurt, Müsli, süße Teilchen. Die Auswahl war für unsere Ansprüche ausreichend. Wir können dieses Hotel nur empfehlen und werden definitiv wiederkommen! Vielen Dank für Alles! :)

Ein paar Haken im Bad, für die Handtücher wären vielleicht nicht schlecht.

Localisation, calme, service du personnel (il faisait chaud et le réceptionniste m'a donné son propre ventilateur car il n'y en avait plus d'autres)

Friendly and helpful accommodation when I arrived - needed to leave bag but my room was ready early. Superbly central location and, had I driven, plenty of nearby car-parks.

The stairs were very narrow for my partner who has mobility issues, however the staff moved us to a room closer to the ground floor which was very cool.

In a wonderful position for the city. Room was well equipped and the bed was so comfortable. Our second time there and very good value

Staff very friendly and helpful. They had only been in posession of the hotel for a couple of months but were obviously intent on improving many aspects of the rooms and building as a whole. They have the right attitude and I wish them continued success. A good example was at breakfast. The bananas had all gone when we arrived and when I asked if there were any more one of the staff went round to the Sainsbury's local and bought some there and then ! Oh, and it's in a great central location, right next to the Marlowe theatre, ideal for exploring the city on foot.

The only thing I mentioned to improve the stay in the room was to have more possibilities to store things in the ensuite. It is difficult as the space is limited but a couple of hooks on the wall to go along with the towel radiator would make a big difference. It's an old hotel so possibilities are limited.

Bardzo ładnie urządzone wnętrze zarówno hallu jak i pokoju. W stylu nowoczesnym, ale jednocześnie pasującym do starego budynku. W pokoju wszystkie wygody: czajnik, kawa, herbata, gniazdka do naładowania telefonu, ładna łazienka, wiatrak w pokoju.

Dystrybutor mydła w łazience usytuowany tak, że mydło ścieka po ścianie na podłogę. Za mała umywalka, myjąc twarz uderza się głową w półkę.

the location

claustrophobic room, needed to be a contortionist to not hit ones head on diagonal ceiling window and on opening the wardrobe door, it fell off and hit the lady ! as there was no top hinge. I'd be better off telling the hotel about this, as they, like other hotels do, could compensate us with a night in a decent room....

Goede locatie midden in het centrum. De auto kan voor een gereduceerd tarief van 17pond per dag geparkeerd worden op een openbare parkeerplaats op n kleine 10 lopen door een mooi stadspark. Voor uit- en inladen mag de auto even voor het hotel staan. Bij aankomst was de kamer erg warm maar we hadden meteen een ventilator gekregen dus dat was erg fijn.

Het hotel heeft wat tlc nodig. Afbladerende verf bij de kozijnen. Losse tegels in de badkamer, weinig waterdruk bij het douchen etc.

The location was in the heart of the city, equidistant to the two railway stations, and in very easy reach of almost every attraction.. A very comfortable bed, lovely room and an excellent continental breakfast. The listing clearly stated that it would be a continental breakfast.

The water in the bathroom shower was cold on the second morning. We informed the staff at breakfast and they promised it would be dealt with, which we presume it was after we left that morning. As the hotel is on one of the main shopping streets we did expect some noise in the evening, but there was a lot of noise into the small hours.

Hôtel typique en plein centre de Canterbury, à quelques pas de la cathédrale et de pubs sympathiques. Accessible de la gare en moins d’1/4h.

Il faut commencer à se poser la question de la climatisation, le ventilateur est limite en cas de canicule. Vu la disposition des chambres, impossible d’échapper aux nuisances de voisins bruyants quand les fenêtres sont ouvertes.

The room was really good, although being an old building the floor was a little uneven, however this added to its charm. I was upgraded to a premium double rather than a single when I arrived which was nice

Breakfast was OK but I didn't realise it was only continental with the same offering each day. Boiled eggs were available so would have been nice to have scrambled eggs on some days

Considering the location, stone throw away from most of the landmark attractions, it is perfect place to stay. Makes the visit worthwhile.

Looks great on the advert but DO NOT BOOK if you struggle with stairs or hate street noise until 2am. They advertise that they have parking, but they dont, its a 5-10 min walk from the car park to the Hotel(?) They don't have a restaurant. My room faced onto the main shopping/pub area of the city, constant noise all night. I went for fish n chips and the did allow me to eat in the hotel and provided cutlery. I wont be booking this hotel again.

The breakfast was disappointing, fine if you like a continental breakfast but would have preferred a cooked breakfast, also with it being an old property, the stairs were steep and narrow.

The hotel's location in the town centre is their best-selling point if that's what you're looking for. Decent, comfortable room. The staff are helpful.

Given how central it is, there is noise from outside to deal with. As it was a pretty sunny day, the room did get rather hot, a fan would have been nice.

The hotel is just a short walk from the train station. Our room was clean, beds were very comfortable and the shower was great. We had a fan in the room, a tv, a good hairdryer, plenty of sockets and a kettle with tea, coffee & biscuits. Staff were very helpful.

Charmantes Hotel mitten in Canterbury, extrem zentral und doch ruhig. Freundlicher Service, alles sauber und praktisch. Das Frühstück war okay, der Kaffee nicht, aber das ist Geschmackssache. Ich würde wiederkommen!

A continental breakfast was supplied, the last time i stayed here i had a fabulous cooked breakfast, told by staff this is to return soon as they have recently taken over the hotel. i was going to the Marlow theatre so the Pilgrims hotel suited me as it was right opposite

The hotel is a very old building and the rooms are quite small, it could probably benefit from a refurbishment, in short i substituted luxury for location

Fantastic location, right in the center of town. The car park was only a few minutes walk away. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The continental breakfast had plenty of choice. The bed was very comfortable. Best night's sleep I've had in a long time!

There were no negatives. There were a couple of occasions of loud groups walking past the hotel after pub closing time but it was a Saturday night so only to be expected. It didn't bother me at all.

Had a wonderful stay, across from the theatre, lovely clean and comfortable room highly recommend 👌
