The Victoria Hotel

The hotel location is very convenient from train station and the breakfast was very nice.

It was Saturday night and the noise coming into the window from outside was bad until 2am. The price was a little pricey.

Central location. Nice bed.

Would have been an easier check in if we were told the parking arrangements prior.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The staff very helpful. We took the train to Galway and the hotel is just around the corner. It is also very close and walkable to all Galway attractions.

The staff was great! Especially Shobuhm and Anmanuel in the bar were extremely friendly and entertaining.

No conditioner, pillows were hard and flat, shower towels not big enough to wrap around your body. Noisier area than anticipated.

Location v good. Room was standard set up and absolutely fine but completely lacking atmosphere. Breakfast room v nice/ self service. Staff v helpful.

Insgesamt war unser Aufenthalt im Victoria Hotel in Galway absolut in Ordnung. Sehr positiv ist die Kooperation mit einem nahegelegenen Parkhaus. Dieses befindet sich ungefähr 500 Meter vom Hotel entfernt und als Hotelgast erhält man einen vergünstigten Preis. Gerade bei der zentralen Lage ist das definitiv ein Pluspunkt. Der Empfang war freundlich und unkompliziert, hier hat alles bestens funktioniert. Das Zimmer war ebenfalls vollkommen in Ordnung. Man sieht zwar an einigen Stellen bereits gewisse Abnutzungsspuren, insgesamt war aber alles sauber und zweckmässig. Das Frühstück war okay und bot alles, was man für den Start in den Tag braucht. Beim Servicepersonal wäre etwas mehr Freundlichkeit beziehungsweise das eine oder andere Lächeln schön gewesen – das würde die Atmosphäre beim Frühstück noch deutlich angenehmer machen. Alles in allem ein solides Hotel in sehr guter Lage, bei dem das Gesamtpaket für einen Aufenthalt in Galway absolut passt.

Top Lage in Galway, fussläufig zu allen Sehenswürdigkeiten im Zentrum. Interessante Bar und der Charme eines renovierten Hotels!

Badewanne mit Vorhang und feststehendem Duschkopf ist very old school und keine Toilettenbürsten.

Properly was within four blocks of The Quays and staff was very helpful.

This hotel was centrally located close to Eyre Sq. I had the best pesto pasta and a good cosmo in the restaurant but service was slow- in fairness it was crowded and they looked short staff. You have to park blocks away but this is true with many city accommodations. 😑Room was small but it had a bath and lots of hot water and bed was comfy. Only 1 elevator. Don’t know if I’d stay here again but maybe for a night to easily see the square on foot and old quarter….could work.

Amazing walkable location, fantastic proximity to transit options, and lovely, helpful staff.

I booked a Single room on Booking.com and it was not evident that that would translate to a windowless room at the property. Not sure if that's a Booking issue or a property issue. Also they have a huge, well-designed bar on the ground level, but it sits largely empty with a lonely sign that reads "please wait to be seated." The one night I visited, the two workers talked mostly to each other and largely ignored their guests.

The restaurant/bar wasn't very busy and took a long time to be served.

Für den Wellnessbereich extra zahlen wäre teilweise ja ok aber 20€ / Person für 2h in diesem schon ziemlich alten und kleinen Spa sind definitiv überteuert und ungerechtfertigt.

Im Zimmer gibt es keinerlei ablagemöhlicbkeit. Kein Schrank, keine Schublade. Super, dass ein Safe da ist, der steht aber komplett lose, dass man ihn einfach wegtragen könnte 😅 keine Steckdose im Bad.

Hotel is in a great location, reception lovely and great staff, rooms perfect. No parking but have a rate with nearby garage.

The restuarant was shocking, booked for 7pm it was 720 before someone approached me asking was I ok, I got a menu and ordered, ended up being 835 by the time I was done, service shocking slow, but food was nice.

The food in the restaurant was outstanding. The staff served us quickly and respectfully. We didn't have know what to expect, and yet were very pleased with the result.

All was good. We had no complaints about anything.

The breakfast was only so-so, and the walk-in shower in the updated bathroom was difficult to manage.

Location to Galway & parking was a few minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel gives you a discounted rate too. You can pull up outside hotel to drop off & check in before parking if you prefer. Lovely helpful friendly staff at reception. Room & shower room was a good size. Plenty of towels. Lift to rooms. Great buffet breakfast, very well organised.

Bed & pillows not very comfortable for me personally. And the room was a little tired & areas missed for cleaning eg the overhead lamps were very dusty. And bathroom areas also missed some cleaning too.

Absolutely fantastic location in the city. It was only a short walk to the Latin corridor and city center. Right on the corner of Eyre Square and near the car park. I’ll definitely stay here again the next time I’m in Galway.

Výhodné umístění v centru města, velmi příjemný personál, výborné snídaně. Pohodlné postele, dostatečně velká koupelna.

Měli jsme pokoj s oknem směrem k nádraží a poměrně nízko, přitom dole pod oknem 24 hod něco hučelo, možná něco jako vzduchotechnika. Neměli jsme horké počasí, takže jsme to slyšeli hlavně při větrání po ránu a večer. Ale při absenci klimatizace by to v teple a otevřeném okně bylo dost nepříjemné. Jinak umístěné pokoje tento problém mít nemusí.

We thought the room was lacking in a few facilities given the price for one night. Also, for some reason we received a call from reception at 8.30am asking if the room was okay? We thought this was a bit odd. We were out celebrating an occasion the night before and didn’t really appreciate being woken up for something so frivolous

Ήταν κάπως καλή η τοποθεσία. Επίσης, το bar από κάτω από το ξενοδοχείο είναι πάρα πολύ ωραίο. Κάποιοι από το προσωπικό, ήταν ευγενέστατοι. Το δωμάτιο ήταν σχετικά μεγάλο.

Πολύ κακή σχέση ποιότητας - τιμής. Ήταν πάρα πολύ ακριβό για αυτό το ξενοδοχείο και για αυτό το δωμάτιο. Θα πρέπει να κάνουν σοβαρή ανακαίνιση στα δωμάτια τους. Το πρωινό δεν ήταν πλούσιο, αλλά τουλάχιστον κάποια πράγματα ήταν ποιοτικό.

Staff were pleasant and professional, easy check in process, all the information was provided. Hotel common areas and bed room were very clean.

Close walking distance to almost everything. Good breakfast although it was self serve buffet there was lots of choices and everything was continually being refreshed. I was very pleased.

The head board on the bed was peeling and it took away what would have been a higher rating

Chambre qui donnait au dessus du bar, soirée jusqu’à plus de 4h du matin, un bruit pas possible qui nous a empêché de dormir, la rue très passante également avec bcp de bruit. Une nuit horrible!!!! Si vous cherchez du calme pour vous reposer je vous déconseille cet hôtel…. Très mauvaise expérience

Very noisy generator outside our room. No drawers for clothes. Quoted wrong bill on checking out ‘though we had already paid our bill through booking.com and had confirmation e mail of same. Receptionist refused to listen or take that on board.
