It was very luxurious.
Conveniently located
Modern, comfortable and great location.

Amazing location Friendly staff Bar and restaurant are lovely

Excellent location with paid parking 5 minutes away. The staff was very friendly and the room was clean. Breakfast was excellent and efficient for a 3 star hotel.
The air conditioning unit in room 110, a deluxe double, made a buzzing sound periodically throughout the night. Made it difficult to sleep.
Restaurant and coffee shop were great.
Room was very noisy from the street traffic.
Ristorante e sala colazione erano perfette, hotel in buona posizione.
Beautiful rooms! Great staff. Right near city center. Parking lot next door.
Very central, food was amazing and staff very friendly 😁
Nothing
Room was clean and beds comfortable, cafe was very good and convenient.
The parking seemed quite shady, the public lot was behind the hotel and the hotel is right across from the bus station so a lot of people coming and going. I didn’t feel it was the safest of neighborhoods. Also the bathtub/shower is very deep and a huge step to get into and out of, very difficult for anyone that has mobility issues or is elderly. My mother had a very hard time.
Clean modern A/c! Wonderful patio with room! Easy walk to all the main attractions
fabulous bar and resturant, great location.
They needed another lift, often long waits.
Emplacement, petit déjeuner. Confort lit, personnel adorable

Location was great. Near things but not in the center.
We had reserved two exact rooms but one was much bigger than the other.
I liked the location, the style and the cleanliness. The bed was big and comfy also.
There were no windows in the room aside from a velux one. That felt quite claustrophobic. There were no biscuits at the coffee station which is a simple nice touch to provide. There was also no ironing board.
The Hyde is in a convenient location, walkable to the central area and around the corner to the bus station. The bed was comfy and staff friendly. The room, however, was very noisy and ill appointed with no drawers, no hooks, and a blow dryer in a desk drawer that couldn't be moved and the no mirror near by to look at.
All good!
Had some fantastic food tonight and a prawn pil pil and korma that would be the best ever. Great staff and ambience- well worth a visit
Great location.
Price was a little high.
We stayed at the Hyde Hotel for two nights of our eight-day trip to Ireland. Candidly, it was our least favorite hotel on the trip. Good location that is close to all the pubs and restaurants, but not too close for late nightlife noise. Our king room turned out to be what the front desk staff referred to a "European" king--small with a double bed. Interesting that we had regular kind beds at our previous stops in Dublin and Killarney. Breakfasts were included and were mediocre at best. Both mornings, there were slow waits for service, especially getting coffee. Overall, an average experience . . . would stay elsewhere on a return visit to Galway.
Was in Galway for a hospital procedure and my taxi pulled up outside the Hyde Hotel and I decided to try this place out, the atmosphere is tranquil and the ambiance is so refreshing! It’s a shame I can’t say the same for the food, I ordered the Hyde Grill, it came out looking ok, but there was things on the plate that I didn’t want and the poach eggs could be used for golf balls they were rock hard with added extras also! I asked for toast but got plain bread instead! Service could have been better as I was waiting a long time for staff to come by to see if I needed anything! The only good thing about the place was Hannah the server and the male bartender!
We stayed two nights here and had an excellent time. We booked the Deluxe Suite and it was so cute! I loved how it was decorated and it was SO nice to have AC during the heat wave. Felt so nice walking into a cold room after a long day of exploring. It's about 10-15 minute walk from all the main bars and shops which is what I wanted as I like to be close to the action while still having some quiet. All the staff was so helpful and kind. No complaints, we would stay here again in the future!
I want to say our waitress Daisy was so helpful and so friendly! Thank you Daisy! A beautiful place for good food and ambiance. We tried the brunch menu and the breakfast, I would recommend the brunch the most.
A lovely sized room and ready on arrival

Great location.
Rooms were small, air conditioning was underwhelming but we stayed during a record heat wave.

Lovely room, very convenient location, good breakfast. Very friendly staff who went out of their way to give local recommendations
I feel that o was overcharged for my room. I had booked a reservation for the suite with one price they gave but then I was charged a price for each room. It was more expensive than I thought
The location was terrific
Nothing to note
I had a wonderful stay at the Hyde Hotel and would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Galway. The hotel has a fun, stylish atmosphere, a fantastic central location within walking distance of shops, restaurants and the train station, and, most importantly, an exceptional team who made my stay memorable. The customer service truly stood out. Lavinia, the Reception Team Lead, was warm, kind and incredibly helpful both before my arrival via email and throughout my stay. Patrick welcomed me with a smile, helped with my luggage (while politely refusing a tip), shared excellent recommendations for places to visit, and was friendly, funny and genuinely kind. Before I left, he also helped me secure my luggage with travel straps. I’d never used them before, and he patiently showed me how they worked, making my journey home much easier. Sandra at reception went above and beyond when I wasn’t feeling well. She kindly moved my prepaid breakfast to the following day, arranged for someone to bring Coke Zero and ice to my room, and even secured me a same-day emergency dental appointment at a wonderful local practice. Jan, who delivered the drinks, was incredibly kind and compassionate. Sofia and Elizabeth at reception were equally warm, welcoming and eager to help with recommendations and local information. Breakfast was very good, and the kitchen happily accommodated my gluten-free diet without any difficulty. I especially enjoyed the smoked salmon with poached eggs. Hannah and Doroti were wonderful, and even the breakfast playlist added to the welcoming atmosphere. I also loved the quirky décor, the unexpected private balcony off my room, and the environmentally conscious SuitePad, which allows guests to manage housekeeping requests and order room service. A few small suggestions: it would be helpful to have both a recycling bin and a general waste bin in the room, and some of the hotel’s information could be more consistent. During my stay, the breakfast times differed between the website and the SuitePad, the online menus weren’t up to date, and the breakfast menu on the SuitePad displayed an error message. I shared this feedback with reception, and they received it graciously and assured me it would be passed along. These were all relatively minor issues and did not detract from what was otherwise an excellent stay. The genuine kindness and professionalism shown by the Hyde Hotel team made a lasting impression, and I look forward to staying here again on a future visit to Galway.
Good location. Front desk was very friendly and gave some good tips. Included breakfast was decent/good and servers were friendly.
The room itself was claustrophobic and dated - not something i expected after paying more than $500 for a night. The carpet on the floor was soaking wet when I arrived since a window had been left open. Parking is a little bit of a hassle but understandable given the location. It didnt help that similar rooms were almost $200 cheaper at the same hotel on the day we arrived.
First of all, parking is really close, literally around the corner and the hotel stamp your ticket and it's only €12 for the night! Plus the hotel is just off Eyre Square, within walking distance to all the shops and resturants! When you walk into the hotel, you are greeted with a gorgeous lobby, bar and restaurant. Staff very friendly and helpful and though we were early, our parents room was ready and they could go freshen up. When our room was ready, we made our way there and I was a little disappointed with the room I must say. We'd paid for a 'Deluxe Room' and it was just a very bog standard, small, double room. Compared to the hotel decor downstairs, the rooms are a far cry from that. Also, when we checked in, we were told the room was overlooking a 'courtyard' which I wrongly thought might be fancy.....but my version was not at all what it was, it was just a yard, nothing in it, just a yard. The room was clean, though I was really annoyed that in a Deluxe Room, that we still had a shower over the bath! The shower power was great but the bath filled with water up to your calves even with the stopper thing opened up! Then no non-slip mat in the shower either which makes it quite dangerous to get in and out of! The rooms are in need of an upgrade for sure to match the downstairs! Price point was expensive for what we got, I'd have expected more. We ate there too and though the meal was tasty, service good, the desert we ordered (trio of deserts with espresso martini) was a joke for 14.95!!!! First of all, the trio of deserts were so small, we could barely see them! One of them was just a kiwi skin with some cream in it and the espresso martini was in a teeny tiny espresso cup with a drop of kuhula in it. It really was disgraceful and though I did tell the waiter, they said they would feed that back to the kitchen, we were still charged full price for them. Thought this was bad form, the trio of desserts was not worth €2, don't mind €14!!! So....that's my review.....good and a few improvement suggestions.
Location was great, close to restaurants and shops. Parking was close and a good rate through the hotel.
Air conditioning was poor, the second night we had a fan which helped.
Central location. Nice room with interesting wallpaper. Breakfast included
They gave us a handicapped room without telling us. Sink was at 33”🙄 Parking was offsite. Kind of pricey.
The decor is fantastic. Room very comfortable and clean.
Faucet in shower hard to operate
The Hyde Hotel was a perfectly adequate place to stay during our time in Galway, but it was my least favorite hotel of our Ireland trip. One of the hotel’s biggest strengths is its location. After dropping off our rental car, we were able to walk to many of Galway’s attractions, shops, restaurants, and pubs. The hotel is also conveniently located near the Citylink bus stop, which made our departure back to Dublin for our flight home very easy. Despite being close to the city center, the area was relatively quiet, which we appreciated. The staff were kind, welcoming, and professional throughout our stay. Unfortunately, the room itself was somewhat disappointing. We specifically booked a room with air conditioning, but the room remained warm and stuffy despite running the AC. During our visit, Ireland was experiencing relatively mild temperatures, so I expected the room to be much more comfortable than it was. The lack of effective cooling made sleeping less comfortable than it should have been. The room itself was clean and functional, but nothing particularly stood out. Our view was essentially nonexistent, and there were no special features or amenities that made the stay memorable. Overall, the Hyde Hotel’s location was its greatest asset. It served its purpose well as a convenient base for exploring Galway, and the staff provided good service. However, compared to the other hotels we stayed in throughout Ireland, this was the one I was least impressed with. While I wouldn’t discourage others from staying here, I would likely choose a different hotel if I return to Galway in the future.

Beautiful hotel, clean and stylish
I booked a deluxe double and accidentally said one person instead of two so when we arrived, were told we could not have the room due to fire regulations. My husband and I were placed into a room with three single beds, which would’ve been fine where it not so very small. We had to stack the two chairs against the door to even have room to walk around the beds. I did offer to pay more for another room, but were told there was nothing available. The hotel is old and his had a slight refurbishment, but still has the old nasty green carpet throughout. It’s really a shame because the adjoining bar and restaurant are wonderful.
Hairdryer fixed to console table, and no mirror anywhere close by to see what you were doing... A little frustrating if I'm honest...
It is supremely located, walkable to Galway town.the rooms are lovely and the breakfast was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful!
We had some room issues upon arrival but it seems that was a Booking.com error not the site. The parking is confusing to find and get to.

Location was good and staff was amazing
Very stylish hotel. Excellent attention to detail.
Convenient to shops
Dated and expensive
Very poor quality food No fresh veg with our dinner Poor cut of beef Pasta dish needs an authentic italian recipe Slow service
Very modern and clean, staff were lovely and super helpful.
Location!!
There were unexpectedly no windows in our room, this became problematic when there was a putrid odor from the drain that could not be resolved
The hotel was nice I wasn’t crazy about the decor but that doesn’t have any effect on the quality. The rooms were spacious the shower was very nice. Rooms were clean and the bed very comfortable. We only ate breakfast at the hotel and it was very good. Staff all very friendly. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to shopping area. There are Restaurant all over. Parking is very challenging we had a bus tour so it wasn’t an issue for us. You won’t be disappointed.
While hip and cool, this hotel does not sacrifice comfort. Rooms were spacious and really nice. Very well located. Close to center of Galway with tons of restaurants and pubs.
Great hotel. Front desk staff top notch. Very welcoming and informative. Rooms very clean and nicely decorated. Bathroom amenities very nice. Beds and linens very comfortable. Location is outstanding. Morning breakfast was awesome Highly recommend at every level.
Sehr grosses Zimmer und grosses Bad. Sehr dekorativ und stylisch eingerichtet.

Perfect as always. Love coming here for a night away with the girls.
Everything couldn't fault it and we got upgraded for my partners 50th that was so so nice
Our agent chose this hotel because we didn't have a car and wanted a walkable option. It was definitely located in a walkable area, however, the hotel itself needs improvement to be close to a 4.5 star property. ROOM: The room was actually more spacious than our other hotels in Ireland but details were overlooked. The shower stall is super small, there is no fan in the bathroom (we noticed this all over Ireland and it's so odd!), the bathroom sink didn't drain well, and the bed and pillows were NOT comfortable. Sheets were also stiff and a bit scratchy. There are also no luggage racks/places for your suitcase in the room. I put mine on the couch because I refuse to put them on the floor. HOTEL: The front desk was very friendly but it shocked us that there were no bellhops/people to help with luggage. They didn't even have luggage carts at the front door at a minimum. The lobby is very small and doesn't have any sitting areas, etc. It's also connected to the restaurant next door and the music was SO LOUD when we arrived at 5 in the afternoon. It felt like we were walking into a club at midnight. Also, we had the window cracked a tiny bit and it was very noisy in our room. Lots of shouting from the street, etc. The hallways need a renovation -- carpet is worn down, paint is chipping and not clean, halls are super narrow. The common areas and hallways felt like a 3-star hotel. FOOD: We had breakfast at the hotel and it was OK. Very few egg options (I don't eat meat) and the scrambled eggs came out runny, even after asking for them very well done. We also waited over 10 minutes for coffee -- food came out before coffee. The pancakes were super fluffy and good but not what I wanted for my main breakfast. Overall, if you need a hotel right in the middle of Galway, it's probably one of the best options. However, if we were to come back, we'd stay just outside of Galway at a more upscale option and take Ubers into the city.
It was right in the center as well as having a cooling unit in the room
The shower did slightly flood when taking showers but nothing else
Great location close to the bus station and nice area. Perfect for exploring Galway for a day as it was clean and the staff was friendly.
Had a great stay! Stylish restaurant with a great cocktail bar downstairs. Appreciated the locked door - and security check at the desk late at night! Shower was amazing ( nothing worse than a not so great shower when traveling). Only complaint is that the pillows are absolutely terrible ( but bed very comfortable) and the room was warm - had “ac” on and the temperature of the room did not change for 2 days. Thankfully it wasn’t too warm outside but it also wasn’t cold, we had great weather.
very cute vibe in all the common areas.
Everything about the Hyde Hotel was spot on. We loved the decor of the hotel, comfortable rooms, friendly staff as well as the location. We also loved that the hotel not only had a restaurant/bar attached to it but also a great cafe.
Excellent location because the train and bus station are in very close proximity. For going out, Latin Quarter is a short walk across Eyre Square and the best tours leave from the Hyde Hotel. Also, the food and cocktails at their bar/restaurant are a 10!
The room was quite hot and we had to ask about how to turn the heat down. Also the bathroom is pretty, but the glass partition is not large enough to keep the water in the shower so we had to use many towels just to keep the floor dry!
Comfortable, elegant accommodation in central Galway. Friendly, helpful staff. Well worth a visit.
Quadruple room was very spacious, location was fantastic. David and Casey on reception were lovely and got our stay off to a great start.
The shower only had a waterfall head and the whatever way the tap was positioned at the bathroom sink caused a lot of water spillage
