The staff were fantastic.
The breakfast- Mushrooms not cooked properly and very very hard . Eggs had grey lumps and the toast was served cold. We left and got food in the garage on the way home.
Neat and staff attitude
Nothing
We arrived early and were given our room earlier than check in time
Decor of the hotel is quite dated
Breakfast was lovely
We had to wait a little while to get tea and coffee but no really that much of a problem as we weren't in a hurry
Great for a place to stay whilst visiting friends in the area and the breakfast was great
Lovely clean and bright hotel. Great location to walk into Gorey.
Nothing
Mostly very nice staff, good facilities, very good food
The bar girl on Thursday night was so grumpy!
Decor was very tasteful. Each floor had a selection of chairs and tables to sit at and relax. Pool was lovely. Breakfast was excellent. Great choices. Steak house was well set up and food was delicious.
We have stayed here many times have to say this was the first time we had a very comfortable room and had great night sleep no noise spotless clean
Have to say breakfast .
Lovely hotel with really friendly and helpful staff
Pillows were the worst I've ever slept on
Location
Room tired and noisy , restaurant food poor and cold, staff generally uninterested , apart from reception staff.
location great
a bit of music midweek would’ve been ideal.
*Staff very friendly and helpful. *Sufficient car parking space *Cool water refill stations located along the corridor outside the room *Great location *Breakfast buffet had plenty of options *Lovely Elemis products in bathroom * Comfortable bed with plenty of pillows *Tea/Coffee making facilities
No complaints

I had a ground floor deluxe room facing the courtyard ... kids were kicking ball until 11.30 pm .... noise and shouting ... no staff supervising the courtyard. Room was dark .. no real natural light in it. Staff were dismissive and robotic .. no personalities at all ... just interested in your bankcard. No towels changed or room tidied .. had to ring for fresh towels and toilet roll?? I book and stay every August with my daughter .. its our thing and time together ... but we wont be going next year. Four Hundred and Eighty Euro was crazy money for the service we got on the 5th and 6th of August. I asked for soft poached eggs .. guess what ... they were hard .. staff were young disinterested and just punching the clock ... was the feeling I got this year.
Excellent choice. Very nice room
Very clean and very friendly staff
Cars are not safe in there carpark, car got slashed
Breakfast was nice
Beautiful hotel. Friendly staff. Large room.
Nothing
Love this hotel go every year friendly clean and food delicious
The restaurant was very cold for some reason and rooms were extremely warm not sure why didn’t mind too much as we put on cardigans in the restaurant and opened windows in the bedrooms but the pillows are like rocks so unless you like a hard pillow bring your own (I normally do but forgot it this year)
Location, plenty of parking, friendly staff, very clean and good food
Lack of air conditioning as it was a very warm day. I did ask for a fan which was delivered up to my room almost immediately
Food perfect Room
Should have stayed longer
Very friendly and enthusiastic staff. Room was clean. Breakfast restaurant was nice and tidy
After dinner we drove to nearby beach for a walk. When we come back we had a problem with finding car space. Staff did assist and we got space eventually
Facilities and location
Central, friendly attentive staff , nice room and comfy bed
Breakfast was ok but could have been better.
Good location.
Nothing.

The staff was super helpful and the room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was great too!
The price was a bit excessive for what you get, no proper coffee machine in the room at that price point is rather disappointing.
The hotel & physilities are great. The beds were so comfortable. We loved our stay.

Location was the main thing for me
The swimming pool so Jacuzzi nice bonus
Pool and gym were good Restaurant food was ok
Breakfast wasn't great, staff didn't explain you could order additional items. Could hear next room and hallway at night when trying to sleep
Had to be changed to another room which was lovely House keeping we're lovely
Have to say breakfast was not good could do a lot better with if
Location is great the staff are really friendly they have a super policy of always saying 'no problem' to any request! The food in the ivy was excellent. We opted for sea bass both nights as it was so good the first night we had to try it again: risotto was creamy and fish was meaty and perfect temperature. Recommend also the apple crumble to finish which was perfect: not too sweet
Honestly everything was great the staff were so friendly and the food was top standard. Breakfast was definitely on/point as well. The only quibble I have is that the coffee served for breakfast was too strong, too much coffee powder/ small complaint though as there is a great little café in the foyer
Dinner and service in the Restaurant was excellent
Great staff in all areas of the hotel. High standard of cleanliness, lovely food and a nice pool to relax in. Made feel very welcome and will return again.
Great location, walking distance to Gorey town. Staff very helpful and friendly. Room was a decent size
Room was very warm and stuffy, no aircon, rom faces on to carpark which was fine but as the room was so warm we had to leave windows open all night which led to us hearing a lot of noise. The bathrooms need updating, very worn and unfortunately a smell of damp and mould in it which was not pleasant
Fabulous hotel
The breakfast service was very poor. Staff were poor
Lovely hotel & great location. We had a family room & it was a great size
It was hot weather when we stayed there & the hotel has no air conditioning. Even with the windows open (at leadt they open fully) the room was very hot making it hard to sleep especially for children. Also not many TV channels available on the TV
NO HAY AIRE ACONDICINADO NI NEVERA
We were in Gorey just one night to visit Irish family who live in the area. So we arranged a large group dinner at the hotel restaurant. Service and food was really excellent and they did a good job in servicing our large group. Hotel is lovely as well.
We were in Ireland during a bit of a heat wave. Many hotels, including Ashdown, do not have AC in the bedrooms. However a fan was provided which was definitely helpful. Rooms were very comfortable.
liked the variety and options
not sure if the bacon is air fried or not - but not keen on air fried food
Staff are so helpful lovely place to stay
Beautiful gardens
No air con
Lovely hotel. Beautiful decor. Very clean and within walking distance of Gorey town. Great base for touring around Co. Wexford. Facilities in the hotel were excellent. Lovely sized pool and gym. There is a gorgeous foyer which is lovely to have a cuppa and lounge around. Rooms are spacious, clean and cosy. Travel cot supplied. Food was lovely. Big buffet style breakfast with a great selection. Dinner is à la carte but also lovely. The staff on reception, in house keeping and the leisure centre were so nice, friendly and helpful.
Rooms have no air con. The staff in the bar/restaurant were a disaster. There were several staff working but they weren’t attentive. Gave us the menus and told us sit wherever. It was really hard to get their attention. I was waiting 20 minutes to just order food and it wasn’t even that busy. With a toddler this was not ideal. Also, If you sit in the centre garden you have to pay for food and drink in advance.
The property was beautiful bright and clean
The bar for an evening meal. Location and parking was very good
Expensive for the standard
Great location. Staff all very nice.
Room decor was a bit busy. Bed linen quite worn.
The decor in the rooms and restaurant, excellent coffee dock
Everything.i.enjoyed my Time there
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was in a convenient location on the edge of Gorey town. We enjoyed the carvery meal on Sunday.
It was too hot and no air conditioning, although the hotel kindly lent us a fan. There was some noise from the builders, even disturbing us at 8 am one morning. There was a heated towel rail located right next to the toilet, on which fresh towels were hung every day. The towel rail was rusty and the towels were too close to the toilet to be hygienic. The mattress was a little too soft for me. One morning the eggs provided at breakfast were a very strange colour so we avoided those.
comfortable room and good breakfast
meal in the bar was average
Absolutely beautiful hotel and staff so lovely thank you xxx
Everything
Good selection for breakfast and staff very helpful and friendly . Clean and tidy throughout and bar prices reasonable .
nothing to report
The staff are amazing the hotel is spotless and cozy the food is gorgeous it’s like a home away from home
I didn’t like leaving
Great Location, Friendly Staff. Meals were delicious. Great swimming pool. The room was very comfortable.
There was nothing I didn't like. Everything was perfect.
What I loved about the hotel, was the staff. I found the staff quite pleasant to deal with and it's a credit to the hotel.
Unfortunately I found the bed uncomfortable and the glass case at reception was full of dead fly's.
The staff were so friendly and accommodating and went above and beyond to make you feel welcome and at home. The whole hotel including the bedrooms are beautifully decorated and comfortable. The breakfast room is gorgeous with so much choice for breakfast. Hope to return soon. 100% recommend!!
Nothing- everything was absolutely spot on.
Staff went out of their way to help my mother when she took ill. Due to their prompt actions my mother returned from wexford hospital to resume her break and attend her granddaughters wedding.
Breakfast brilliant, dinner in bar very good. Staff lively
Shower very small, the door stop behind the door of the bathroom is in a stupid place in front of toilet
Perfect location. Right between Gorey and Courtown, Staff were so friendly and efficient Hotel was impeccably clean. 10 out of 10
The location, it was comfortable, clean
Nothing
Plenty to choose from variety wise ,made feel so comfortable ,the stay was a very pleasant one and staff were really polite and helpful 😀
The staff had the room ready for early check in which was great as I was on day 2 of a wedding. The breakfast was fab. The room was comfortable and spacious. Staff were so lovely.
Maybe a bit old fashioned
Easy to get to
Broken towel hanger in the bathroom. Broken toilet roll holder. Door stopper between your feet when using the toilet. Breakfast service somewhat haphazard.
