The room was very spacious and nice
I tried reaching the reception but phone kept disconnecting. That was really frustrating
Never left the hotel for the duration of our stay as there was so much to do within. The facilities were amazing and both my children were catered to. Amazing place, plenty of fun!
Breakfast was horrible. Hot food was majorly uncooked/tasteless. There wasnt a huge selection of other choices.
Loved pool and bowling. Food excellent in bar. Ate in bar every night.
Would like a little bit more outside for older children. A few more things in playpark for older children. Maybe zip lines or climbing walls or ropes. Would be better if there was a wee lamp or TV in the childrens room.
Everything was good thanks
Fab food, excellent activities, friendly staff, outstanding cleanliness and service
Staff were mostly good but let down but one or two less enthusiastic members. One receptionist, one server at breakfast. Food was fantastic but expensive
Great for Kids room suite was huge and very comfortable
pool area could be cleaned it requires attention
Amenities for kids are excellent. Staff are brilliant. You don’t need to leave the hotel but I wish all restaurants were open all week.
Farina Restaurant closed Monday-Weds, not listed anywhere that I saw on my booking. Had to send cups back 3 times that were dirty with stains on. Bed wheel fell off the divan when I was putting my son to bed. Room could have been dusted a bit more.
About it being all for the kids.
Music was a loud in the outside play area which isn’t great when it’s busy that was something our autistic son struggled with and also the soft play door was constantly left propped open so small children could just walk out the door . Other than that it was great
Amazing child friendly property with fantastic amenities
There was nothing we didn’t like.
I liked the food. Plenty gluten free options. There wasn't much to do very young toddlers there was indoors not much out doors. My three old loved it. My kids loved the swimming pool and indoor play area my 3 year old loved the cinema.
No entertainment music dancing for kids be nice around 7pm
Variety of restaurants on site was amazing, great kids menus, staff were wonderful, tonnes to do with kids and the staff were so lovely.
The tapas restaurant was great but the dishes should come as they are ready, rather than all together. Soft play area padded steps could be upgraded/re-padded for safety reasons. Everything else was great!
The food options were abundant, and the quality was lovely. It was our daughter's birthday, and we were treated to treats and renditions of " Happy Birthday " at breakfast and dinner, which was extremely thoughtful. While there were renovations underway at the hotel, we were offered a room change if we wished, which was considerate. The nominal charge for the go-karting and games (3 euros) was appreciated. The space is exceptionally well designed, packing in a lot of action (two bars, three restaurants, a cafe, outdoor activities, etc.) in a compact enough space. We also appreciated how close it is to the motorway.
The bedroom (particularly the bathroom) was tired, but given it caters to busy families, this is to be expected. The sheets were stained, the springs were gone in our mattress (mitigated by an excellent mattress topper), and different corners of the room were scuffed and dusty, but the rooms themselves are designed really well, very roomy, and really pleasant to hang out in (we were on the second floor). The Oasis/Tween room was really cool but again, tired, and unfortunately, wasn't just an oasis for tweens (lots of screaming toddlers in there, headbutting the fuseball table) but the cinema and swimming pool were calmer spaces for those with older kids.
The staff was super helpful and friendly
the swimming pool was disgusting and made my children sick. Its expensive to stay here yet the activities like mini golf and go carts are additional charges. That's a joke
The dirt of the pool - my children started to vomit 20 mins after leaving the pool
Facilities amazing for kids. Food was very nice, sleeping arrangements were perfect for 2 young kids.
Cleanliness of the room. Wasn’t hoovered well, cookies under bed, sink was dirty, no hand soap or body wash was left. Mirror dirty with handprints.
Everything was exceptional
Some of the children where very rude towards other children
The cost of food and drink
Everything
Nothing to say really, it was grand.
The Italian restaurant food wasn't to our expectations so was a little disappointed, a bit bland etc. While it was a lovely place to stay, but only for one night, thought it was expensive when one with no children. It feels like we paid that much money to sleep on a bed for only 7 hours, when you think about it. It's great for families and the facilities are second to none, no question about it. But the price could be a bit better and a little cheaper.
Absolutely great family hotel facilities staff and location 5star and staff could not do enough to help exceptional
Everything
There was so much for the kids to do, staff were very friendly and restaurant was very spacious for the kids
Just one little reccomendation for the room with the bunk beds, my son needs a light in the room to sleep and there was no plug to plug in a lamp
Good facilities for kids, soft play, pool, cinema and park area. Kids enjoyed the facilities. Meals were nice.
We were given the keycard to someone elses room on arrival. Finally got the right keycard for our own room. Cup had large chocolate stains in them. Glass jug was all cracked around the rim, really dangerous for the kids. There was no handsoap in the bathroom sink and we had to ask for it to be filled. The hotel alarms then went off twice around 11pm which really frightened all the kids. Disappointed as I had being trying to go to this hotel for a few years but was really disappointed with simple safety and hygiene standards.
Every thing it was exceptional and the sterilising room for babies bottles was such a bonus...
Room was nice size
This wasn't good value for money. For a one night stay mid week it was so expensive. Check-in was poor no information about breakfast times, the hotel nor facilities.
Excellent hotel. The location, facilities and staff are wonderful. After 4 stays I couldn't find fault with them if I tried! They go out of their way to take care of you and make sure your stay is enjoyable. We have done summer holidays, Christmas experience and off peak visits and have never been disappointed.
Nothing
I like that there were a lot of things to do for children
Screeching children.. Food wasn't the best at the restaurant..staff wasn't friendly and welcoming. Mattress was sagging the bathroom was tiny..room was very dark and warm
A member of reception was very rude
Child friendly
the location and the rooms in the family den was amazing
slightly disappointed with the restaurant
It was in a good location , handy to get from train station & walking distance from gorey town with shops . Good that the pool was in hotel & was free .
The room was quite dated for a four star hotel , the door squeaked , the shower was so noisy , the bathroom door opened onto the toilet which was inconvenient , the bath was chipped and stained , the thermometer on the wall was hanging off by the wires . Found the activities quite expensive for being onsite and part of hotel + price of the room .
The restaurant was amazing. Really good food and great selection on kids menu. The facilities are fantastic, especially for smallies.
Nothing!
Location and friendly staff.
Hotel in need of some TLC.
I enjoyed it all, my room was enormous, breakfast was spot on, plenty of parking, couldn't fault the experience
Maybe a small fridge in the room? But that is purely nit-picking
All activities were brilliant, no cues at all, and for anything, and we could literally do whatever we liked. The food was very nice and staff was so helpful
That the staff is nice and helpful and it lovely a clean and my room was huge for son that has some needs stuff friendly hotel kids but even better everything on hotel grounds even a shop
Great range of activities for kids! The staff are great.
Room was dirty, mould in the sink, otherwise a good sized room for the price. (Not sure if we were just un lucky with the room as other reviews all say the rooms are clean) The breakfast both mornings was cold and not edible. Breakfast service was poor. The other restaurants on site were nice.
The hotel was amazing we had such a fabulous trip. Grounds and amenities all fab
Child friendly
Our room was very bad dirty bath also dirty towels and the headboard of the beds covered in dust paid no heat to our daughter being sick after our stay last year it happens but that our second time no returning home and our daughter is very very sick again very disappointed
Great facilities to keep the children busy, staff were friendly, hotel was spotless, the food was amazing especially the steak sandwich best I've ever had
Pillows weren't comfortable but not a huge issue for me
The food
Notting
I love that there was a farm stuff to do for the kids and sensory room for special needs and love the way u have to book for breakfast lunch and dinner so the place isnt packed
The food not so happy tat was its down fall ur hotel is a 4 star but ur food is a 2 i was disapointed from breakfast lunch and dinner was not tasty or nice kids food either wasnt tasty im sorry
It is absolutely beautiful, so much to do. And the staff are fabulous
Nothing
The checkout
Staff could not get drink orders right at Breakfast, lunch or dinner nowhere to go after 9pm as children not welcome in the bar in a family hotel that they charge so much money for and then to have a staff member tell me my child should be in bed for 9.30pm is a joke stayed in so many hotels in Ireland since 2021 with my son and always been able to sit in a resident bar till about 10 or 10.30 never an issue this is something they should advise you about when booking
Breakfast was awful
Everything was top class
Men’s pool changing room only had one toilet, which is a big issue with smallies who can’t hold it
The kids area, archery, the kids club teachers were good with kids
Old facility, rooms are ok but everything else is old and needs maintenance. Karts were not available because the person responsible slept in. Plates in the breakfast area were dirty, floor was sticky in the restaurant everywhere
I liked the hotel and the facilities
I didn't like that there wasn't enough plug sockets in the room.. I couldn't charge my phone
Everything it was outstanding
Suites were excellent!

Location
9/10Well-located and convenient (noted as close to the motorway); generally regarded positively by guests.
Room Quality
7.8/10Rooms are well designed and roomy but described as 'tired' in places: worn bathroom, mattress springs, scuffs and some dust; overall comfortable layout.
