+ Muy buen ubicado, permite ver las zonas principales de Funchal caminando. + Es precioso. Tanto por la decoración interior como por la maravillosa terraza en lo alto del hotel, con unas vistas increíbles (es caro pero ofrecen una bebida gratis de cortesía en ella con tu estancia, lo que se agradece!). + Desayuno 7/10. Nada especial pero correcto y variado. + Habitación con neverita. + Recepción 24h y personal muy amable.

- La habitación es algo pequeña. El baño está separado por una puerta transparente, lo que puede ser incómodo si viajas con amigos o así. - La ducha es algo incómoda, siempre sale algo de agua para afuera.

Lage mitten in der Altstadt von Funchal ist optimal für die Erkundung der Stadt. Das Personal war super nett, wir haben ein Upgrade bekommen und bei allem unseren Anliegen gab es entsprechend Hilfe und Antworten. Betten sehr bequem. Frühstück für ein kleines Hotel mit echt großer Auswahl. Lustige Bar auf der Dachterasse.

Die Lage ist wirklich herausragend! Mit einer rooftop bar ausgestattet die wirklich sehr zum verweilen, weil auch sehr ruhig, einlädt. Die Servicemitarbeiter waren sehr zuvorkommend!! Insbesondere Priscilla war sooo nett! Aber auch Rosa und das Frühstücksteam. Falls wir nach Madeira zurück kommen würden wir wieder hier her. Danke!

Der Innenpool ist so ohne Fenster und kühl kein wirklicher Gewinn für den Aufenthalt.

Breakfasts were ok but really nothing to write home about. Usual stuff but very small plates and the area where the food was very small. Limited selection and not easily navigated. Disappointing but it’s the only thing that was.

Clean and great location, note that if you have a rental car you will have to park in a parking garage partnering with the hotel for a discounted rate then walk to the hotel as it is not accessible by car. But I left my laptop there and staff were extremely helpful, patient, and accommodating. Even upon entering or leaving front desk staff were very friendly and upbeat. Good walking distance to restaurants nearby. Adorable rooftop bar with good view and drinks.

The location is perfect, it’s not on a busy street but it’s very close to everything. Rooms are very clean and the breakfast was okay. Staff was very nice and helpful.

Location is great if travelling too and from by bus but there is extremely limited space if you need a hire car to be dropped off or collected.

The room was spacious, bed was very comfortable, staff were really helpful and friendly. The ambience of the hotel was perfect. Rooftop bar was excellent and breakfast was the best!

The bathroom was weird- with a glass door so you can see straight through. Also some of the fixtures and fittings were loose or crooked.

Bardzo dobra lokalizacja w centrum Funchal, tuż przy katedrze Sé i blisko starego miasta, restauracji, promenady oraz głównych punktów spacerowych. Hotel jest wygodną bazą do zwiedzania miasta pieszo. Obsługa była uprzejma, a pobyt ogólnie oceniam dobrze.

Pokoje są już trochę zużyte i miejscami widać, że hotel ma swoje lata. Nie było to jednak dużym problemem, raczej kwestia standardu i odświeżenia wyposażenia. Ogólnie pobyt był udany.

The staff was so nice. The hotel was unique and very central to Funchal. The restaurant was very good. We had several meals there and enjoyed them all. Great experience overall.

The hotel's location was perfect, pretty close to the sea and easy to get many good restaurants. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the afternoon tea on the rooftop were absolutely great!

A beautiful hotel in the perfect location in the old town Funchal. Roof top garden/bar was a great place to relax and enjoy a drink or just read a book. All the staff were really friendly and helpful when needed. Breakfast was very tasty with vegan options. Over-all a wonderful hotel and we will definitely be back .

Ideal location in the centre of Funchal. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent. A great range of hot and cold food, with different cakes on offer each day. We appreciated being able to book the swimming pool, particularly in the hot weather. The free arrival drink was a nice touch.

Access to the apartment could be improved with better lighting in the stairway and air conditioning.

Ubicación excelente. Difícil aparcar pero ofrecen descuento con un parking cercano. Sobre las instalaciones del hotel, la piscina es una actividad que puede estar bien aunque tampoco la recomendaría porque hace un poco de frío tanto dentro como fuera de la misma. La terraza, en cambio, la recomiendo sin duda. Está en la última planta, es muy bonita y tiene muy buenas vistas. Se aprecia mucho la bebida gratuita que ofrecen. También, el camarero de arriba era súper simpático. Sobre el desayuno, estaba bueno aunque algo mejorable pero tampoco para quejarse. El personal del desayuno muy amable también. Sobre la habitación: la cama era grande y muy buen aire acondicionado, lo cual se agradece mucho.

La habitación, sin duda. Sin saberlo, cogimos una categoría en la que no te avisan que no tienes si quiera luz natural. Aunque sean las 13h, no entra luz por la ventana porque el patio al que da es de igual 2 m2. Te despiertas sintiendo que es de noche. Salvo por la luz, el resto de la habitación era normal, bien, salvo porque no había ventilación en el baño. De primeras, nos dieron una habitación de esta categoría que se encontraba tanto la ventana como la puerta al lado del mini patio (si a eso se le puede llamar patio, que solo son tuberías que encima hacían ruido constante y plantas, repito: sin luz). Para colmo, llegamos a la vuelta de dar un paseo, apoyo las cosas en la mesa donde estaba la cafetera etc. y sale un pequeño bicho. Al buscarlo de nuevo para matarlo, elevando la cafetera (que supongo que en algún momento habrá acumulado humedad, lo cual aman los bichos) aparece una cucaracha. No creo que sea culpa del personal de limpieza de habitaciones, sino de ese patio que debe acumular bichos y suciedad. Como esa habitación estaba al lado, podían entrar los bichos tanto por la puerta como por la ventana. Aún así, recalcar que comentamos el problema en recepción y amablemente nos cambiaron de habitación a otra habitación de misma categoría. Por desgracia, en esta nueva habitación (aparte de tampoco tener luz natural) la "pared" del baño era de cristal y lo que te separaba de la habitación eran unas cortinas al exterior del baño incómodas de cerrar. Si vas con tu pareja, pues tampoco es tanta molestia pero ir con amigos y que te toque esa habitación debe ser muy incómodo. Se ve y oye todo. Para colmo, la ducha no cierra bien aunque lo intentes y, cada vez que alguien se ducha, se moja todo el suelo del baño y tienes que gastar toallas para secarlo. A su vez, al no tener una ventana normal, el cuarto acumulaba fácilmente humedad y las toallas no secaban.

What we loved: The excellent location. The spacious and comfortable room. The outstanding breakfast. The beautiful rooftop with its wonderful atmosphere. The friendliness and professionalism of several members of the staff, especially Priselia Almada, who made us feel truly welcome.

we also had a very disappointing experience with another receptionist, who gave us inaccurate information that ended up costing us a great deal of money. We asked specifically whether we could go to the rooftop in the evening to enjoy the live guitar performance. We were told very clearly—and we asked more than once to be sure—that the only way to access the rooftop during the performance was to pay €90 per person for dinner. Since we were looking forward to spending a relaxing evening with the music and the beautiful view, we agreed. Unfortunately, the meal was very disappointing and comparable to what we could have had at one of the simplest restaurants in Funchal, despite costing €90 per person. When we later raised the issue, the receptionist denied ever giving us that information. However, both of us heard exactly the same explanation and confirmed it several times during the conversation. We have no doubt that we were misinformed.

Uns wurde angeboten, das Frühstück einzupacken, da wir vor dem Frühstück los mussten. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und wir erhielten einen Coupon für die Dachterrasse. Das Zimmer war sehr gross, sehr sauber und das Bett sehr bequem. Die Lage ist mitten im Stadtzentrum.

Wir können wirklich nichts beklagen. Alles war super und wir waren sehr happy.

Locatie heel fijn, parkeren kleine 10 minuten lopen tegen betaling met een gereduceerd tarief. Omdat er al veel gewandeld hadden ook gewoon de auto 1 dag laten staan en naar de tuinen gegaan met de Calble car.

Excellent small hotel in the heart of Funchal. Service was top notch and room was very comfortable and relaxing. Staff even surprised us with flower petals and bubbles for our anniversary! The included breakfast buffet had an excellent selection for all tastes. Also have to checkout the rooftop bar where they server some of the best cocktails we found!

O hotel é muito bem localizado, no centro de Funchal, próximo a vários restaurantes, ao porto e a rua onde estava acontecendo o Festival das Flores. O atendimento do hotel é maravilhoso, todos os atendentes são super educados e solícitos. Nos orientaram e alugaram passeios para nós, sempre buscando adequar as nossas preferências. Alexandrina, Priscila e Ricardo são ótimos, assim como o motorista do hotel, Luiz, que nos levou a diversos locais. O café da manhã tinha uma ótima variedade de pães, frutas e outros.

The room was pretty small but because of the great location, we didn’t spend much time there. It would’ve been nice to have a little bit more storage room for luggage and the king size bed was just two beds pushed together, so we could feel the gap in the bed when sleeping in the middle. Overall a lovely hotel though.

J’ai trouvé que le rapport qualité prix était un peu excessif étant donné qu’il n’y a pas beaucoup d’équipement dans la chambre, la douche à l’italienne n’est pas très bien isolée et donc cela amène à avoir de l’humidité et de l’eau dans la salle de bain. Également les barres de l’hôtel internes ne sont pas trop sujet à avoir un verre en soirée. Et la piscine n’est pas chauffée, il faut la réserver pour en profiter, mais honnêtement une demi-heure suffit simplement, c’est plus une baignoire dans une cave qu’une piscine

La propreté, la gentillesse du personnel, le petit déjeuner, l’emplacement très central de l’hôtel. Le mercredi soir était organisé un concert de musique Fado sur le rooftop. Vraiment très agréable, avec un repas compris et un verre de bienvenue.
