Provider-sourced guest reviews.
Sehr schöne Villa in schöner Umgebung.
Late-check-out gegen angemessene Gebühr war möglich.
Lieux calme, plage paisible. Demi pension intéressante
Sehr schmackhaftes Essen. Sehr ruhig gelegen. Zimmer sehr gut ausgestattet
Bellissima casa immersa in uno splendido giardino. Pulitissima.
Location sul mare e spiaggia meravigliosa. Camera molto bella ed accogliente. Proprietaria molto empatica e simpatica
top dinner, top beach, top location, very good place for relax, very quiet place, lovely staff,

Localization
There were only fans in the living room, which did not cool and it was very stuffy , the team did not share the information we requested despite daily requests for a week, there was only eggs on the breakfast if you wanted spmething else wasnt prepared fot other option
Lovely room and bathroom. Very friendly owner. Good WiFi
Poorly working air conditioning, unfriendly restaurant staff
The hotel is next to a private beach and is very peaceful. The staff are mostly friendly and helpful. Anse Georgette is a nice walk away (about 45 minutes). There are small shops in the vicinity. The garden is full of birds and is a pleasure to we relaxin in. The kitchen and the utensils in the bungalow were OK, although the fridge was extremely loud.
The hotel is a little faded -furniture and bathroom- compared to the price they are charging. Although the dinners were nicely prepared, not even drinking water was offered. One of the waiters even asked us not to drink the water we brought from the room. Not very guest-oriented ...
We had a wonderful stay . We had such a beautiful time and truly enjoyed every day. The place is very close to everything with an excellent location. Thank you so much for your hospitality — we would love to come back!
The hotel had everything, nice small apartments surrounded by lovely gardens. Comfy bed, pillow and linnen. Very nice and friendly staff. Friendly in-house dogs that you could pet (if you wanted). Good and hearty breakfast and delicious creole dinners with a lot of fish. Near Anse Georgette (need prebooking) and a short hike to Anse Lazio (approx 1 hour, quite hilly but lovely views). The hotelbeach wasn’t swimable, but lovely nontheless (and ok for a quick dip) Supermarket and bus stop 4 min away.
None
Small and quiet adjacent to sea. Good meals included
Erosion control compromised seafront appearance
We stayed at Islander Hotel for 5 nights. While check-in was pleasant, the overall experience was disappointing for the price. Cleanliness was poor — rooms were only cleaned every other day, and there were no housekeeping staff regularly present. The receptionist was friendly at first but largely unhelpful afterward. We weren’t informed that water supply stops during the night. While we understand the water scarcity in Seychelles, most hotels have water storage solutions — this one did not. There were also insects and reptiles in the villa, which made the stay uncomfortable. The restaurant had very limited variety and hardly any guests, so we often had to cook ourselves or travel far to find decent food. The lighting inside the villa was extremely dim, creating a gloomy and depressing atmosphere in the evenings. We didn’t feel especially welcome overall, and guest support seemed minimal. The beach shown in photos isn’t usable due to strong currents, so we had to travel daily to other beaches. The property has potential but is poorly managed. It feels like the owner is absent and the current team is disengaged. We definitely overpaid and wouldn’t recommend this place in its current state
Near Anse Georgete beach, close to the beach.
Doors making noise at night if there is windy weather.
It is a decent property, nothing extraordinary as it shows in pictures. We got an upgrade due to our special request.
Half Board is waste of money. Very disorganized and property managed. This is not right way of giving breakfast and dinner.
Beautiful location with its own private beach. No need to go to other beaches but everyone does? Room was very nice with everything you could need. Only soap provided so you need to bring everything else. Very comfortable bed. Staff were very friendly and we went half board which was a good call as there is not much around it and you need a car/taxi to go anywhere else. Dinners had a distinctly Indian flavour which we loved. Very relaxing
Breakfast was fresh fruit, eggs, and toast. Same everyday.
The beach wasn't the best. Very strong under current. If you walk past the nearby fabulous golf course. (Owned my Hotel Constance Lemuira) you come to a fab beach Anse Georgette.
Room very spacious and comfortable Little private beach Staff Quiet
Housekeeping not regular
Very nice place with access to nice beach! We really enjoyed our stay there. And the most important - Stefanie is the best!
Everything except one staff who was a bit rude… There is a need to train some of staff on communication with the clients.
Nice big apartment, calm in a garden, kitchen equipped.. Very friendly and helpful staff Very good breakfast and dinner, delicious, flexible for the time ( early breakfast.. early dinner etc.. they were flexible).. Close to Anse Georgette ( 20 min walk.. a bit steep sometimes though).. supermarket nearby.. you can take bus or taxi or a rental car for moving to other areas of Praslin We really liked this hotel 👍👍👍
Nice place with beach. quiet. Walking distance to the constance lemuria and the georgeous Anse Georgette. Arret de bus closeby and shops
the shower water tap was licking continuously
We really enjoyed the location with an amazing beach. Staff were super friendly.
We were half board but we didn't get a choice of what we ate. Not much vegetarian choices on the menu. Could have provided some balls, snorkelling equipment or bodyboards to keep guests entertained.
It is very close to a small beach. The waiters are very kind and welcoming.
The atmosphere wasn’t very positive. The first thing staff said when I asked for beach towels was that we have to keep them for 4 days before we could get new ones. I don’t need to change every day but it’s so sandy and so moist there so they get very shabby after a day. When I called in advance to ask if they could help with transfer from airport the staff was quite rude and just said no. The breakfast didn’t include any dairy, meat or cheese. We had rice 7 days in a row for dinner. The house we stayed in was very basic. It was cleaned every second day.
Our little paradise, everything was just perfect. If we come back to Praslin for sure we will stay here again.
The Islander Hotel is located right next to the golf course of the Lemuria Hotel on the northwestern side of Praslin Island and is less a hotel then a self-catering bungalow location. We had a family bungalow for two persons which had two bedrooms, a kitchenette and a bathroom. The bungalow has been painted lately and is plain and functional. After a few hickups the aircon in one of the bedrooms has been replaced immediately and then worked normally. All rooms additionally have large fans. The staff is very friendly and all problems have been addressed immediately. There are a few chairs and tables right at the beach and we also went swimming in the sea although the weather was quite windy and waves came rolling in. However it is not forbidden to swim there, like some other reviews mentioned. You just have to swim at your own risk. But you'll find these warning signs at almost every beach on Praslin. There is a supermarket in walking distance to stock up on beer and food.
First thing we noticed is that the bungalow has not been very clean on our arrival. Bungalow was supposed to be cleaned every two days, but apparently the cleaning is very basic and most of the times only the towels have been changed. The second thing is that the kitchen equipment missed a few mayor things like a large pot to cook some pasta. The cutlery was just enough for the both of us so I'm not sure how this would work if a total of four persons would have stayed there. Cooking large dishes in this kitchen would definitely have been a challenge. Last but not least, the protective measures against insects could be improved. Although there are window glasses in front of the shutters in the bedrooms, the kitchen entry and the bathroom window are unprotected. Things can (and will!) fly through the shutters and crawl underneath the doors right into your bedroom, where I got quite a few mosquito bites during the night. Also, there were tiny ants in the kitchen even though we stored all food in the fridge and washed our dishes right after usage. It's true that the hotel is located right next to "the jungle" which is why it would be important to take measures against the things living in there. A few notes on the beaches nearby: while we were lucky and got acces to Anse Gorgette via the golf course, the Anse Kerlan and Petit Anse Kerlan are not accessible via the coast line. You have to get permission from the Lemuria Hotel, but we didn't try that. All in all we found ourselves driving to restaurants and beaches on the Cote d'Or quite often so we would have been better of staying on that side of Praslin (at least in October).
Excellent self catering accommodation with plenty of space in a lovely location. The private beach is delightful and the hotel is well located to explore the rest of the beautiful island. Really helpful staff and clean, comfortable rooms. Breakfast was really good everyday, perfectly cooked eggs!
Everything, specifically food prepared by 👨🍳 Ravi
nothing
It's wonderful place with very relaxing atmosphere. We found the flowers in the house at our arrival, the house was very clean and have everything you need for your comfort. The caring owners, big turtles right on the territory of the hotel and very beautiful and cozy seaside zone. We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Islander Hotel
excellent place for holiday. green territory. private beach. rooms are big with everything you need incl kitchen.
the beach is full of see weed. a little problem with taxi, ordered one day before of our check out. we had to order it again on the day of check out…so need to add some time for sure
Big room Sun sets Turtles Supermarket nearby Spacious Baby bed
The owner has three really big dogs that are running around on the property and beach freely the whole day. Especially with small kids you have to like it. we were scared. Cockroaches Everything in the kitchen very very old Not enough sun beds for the guests (8?)
Comfort and ambience of our bungalow, surrounding nature, stunning little beach, excellent meals at the restaurant and friendly and helpful owners and staff
The location next to a beautiful beach. Comfortable loungers with sea view and beautiful sunset views. Nice garden. You can order cocktails (even NA) right to the beach. Staff is nice, helps you order a taxi and such.
The chalets are very close to each other and quite dark inside. The kitchen was equipped with very old/used appliances and smelled moldy. Poor lightning (except for bathroom where the lightshade was missing entirely).
I booked a superior one bed room, which consists of very good sized double bedroom, kitchen with microwave, grill, oven and hot plate and everything you need for your stay (including a kitchen table if you wish to eat indoors!), bathroom with double sinks and shower and a great patio with table and chairs. There are ceiling fans and air conditioning. Everything was spotlessly clean with daily cleaning and linen and towels were changed every two days. Miette and her team were great and Miette was able to arrange taxis and excursions for me as I needed them. The bungalows are opposite the on-site restaurant (which serves Creole style food all day) and adjacent to the private beach. There are local shops and a takeaway within 5-15 minutes walk (dependent on what you want). Apart from the hotel’s own beach, you are only a short walk away from Anse Georgette, which the guidebooks mark as one of the two best beaches on the island. It’s accessed via a luxury hotel, which houses the Seychelles only 18-hole golf course and is a beautiful walk in itself. You can also get the local bus (which stops outside the hotel) around the island to visit many of the other beaches and villages, including the UNESCO world heritage site of Valle de Mai. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Islander and am happy to recommend it to fellow travellers. Anse Kerlan is a quiet area of the island and ideal for a relaxing break, but you also have the option of easily visiting other areas should you wish.
This place is georgous with private beaches right in the the resort. They have nice restaurant and food store is very close. Host and personnel were very helpful, they gave us a welcome drink and good tips and also arranged access thru other hotel to most beautiful beach on the island - Anse Georgette. They also grilled for us fresh fish we bought on the market :) Road to the Anse Georgette beach took us about 20-25 minutes by walk and with baby trolley, and it was experience since it goes thru beautiful nature of golf resort.
it is a calm and secluded location. There is a restaurant on the property and the shop is at the main road. It has a very nice view on the sunsets. Also the people from the accommodation make you feel at home and are very helpful.
We booked a double bed, but got two single beds so we had to sleep separately. As we got the last room we did not have much choice so we accepted it. The kitchen is like camping, the minimum necessities are there.
the flat was unbelievable with all you need, all worked perfect supermarket and beach very close to the house
Nothing
Overall it was a good stay. The beach area was beautifully built with a platform to look out to the sea. Sunbeds were available too. We booked the superior room, which was very lovely decorated and clean. Only the kitchen was full of ants, but they were always wandering up and down the same wall and didn't really get in the way (still wonder why they were there, because there was no food or anything that would have attracted them). A/C was available in the bedroom and worked very well. Their restaurant Capricorn was open, however, the service was extremely limited. They almost didn't have any liquors for the cocktails and their wine selection was scarce, too. When we wanted to have breakfast on the first morning, they said we should have informed them the evening before so they could organize it, although nobody told us beforehand. Still, the owner made us some small but lovely breakfast with cut-up fruit, toast, self-made banana jam (which was delicious!) and egg of our choice, but we were shocked when we got the bill (600SCR / 35€ for two people!!) Nonetheless, we had a lovely time at the Islander Hotel and appreciate everything they did for us (even organized a the car rental for us)!
Nice and quiet family hotel consisting of clean reasonably spacious 2 bedroom duplexes. There is a good on-site restaurant and direct access to a beach and also a nice seating area overlooking the beach. The staff are really nice and very responsive and helpful. Highly recommended.
Special place for anyone looking to wind down with their loved one. Nice and away from any noise or hassle. One of the best beaches in Praslin, a 200M walk from your room. Amazing staff. Stop wasting time and book it.
This is a beautiful Guesthouse right on the beach. They have a restaurant & rental cars on site. It is far from the preferred snorkeling beach, but a rental car will get you there & it is on the bus route. My biggest dislike is the additional charge for the A/C - it was the only place I stayed in Seychelles that charged to use it. Room includes a kitchen & has a nice porch.
Yes , we plan next year to go back to this hotel to visit agein our friends there
