Quiet and peaceful. No unnecessary noise. Location.

Taking costumer’s card numbers together with the card’s cvc is not appropriate. I understand it is for any damage/s after the stay however it will make the costumer not comfortable having their card’s cvc shared. Maybe some alternative/s with this (?). Charging port/s are very limited. Only 1 on my assigned room. Maybe adding some ports would be beneficial. Wifi. Please do make costumers aware of it, adding it on the paper you gave us when checking in.

Stayed here before and the location is ideal The staff were super friendly and accommodating..

Thin walls, hard bed, old style decor, key had a huge keyring and not a new card. Water for the shower took my entire shower to get warm and was cold throughout. Got warm at the end. My neighbour was so loud and ran a bath at 4am.

The Mayfair Hotel staff on check in day and check out day were all very friendly and helpful. They all speak good English so I didn't have a problem with communication. I chose Mayfair Hotel as it is in an area of Bournemouth which is close on foot to the famous sandy beach (7-8 minutes), town centre (10 minutes) and most importantly the railway and long distance bus/coach station (10 minutes). The bedroom I got is spacious and has a long dressing table/work desk with make yourself a hot drink facility. The bathroom was also well sized. Towels and the usual toiletries were provided.

The bedroom I stayed in is at the front of the property onto the car park and entrance to the hotel and the main road linking the transport hub to Bournemouth Pier. The road is very busy late into the night. Even with the PVC windows closed I could still hear the murmur of traffic and speeding vehicles were heard loudly. The soundproofing between bedrooms is a bit of an issue too...banging noises passed into my room on a couple of occasions. I would recommend ear plugs. The bed's mattress/mattress topper(?) was super soft and I sunk into the mattress as soon as I sat onto the bed. This issue didn't give me any back issues but I wouldn't consider it very healthy for the spine. Please reconsider the softness! The window ledges in the bathroom were not clear of live insects. There were some also on the floor. It was not clear if these insects had been blown in through the open window or if there were entering the bathroom from gaps in the window or floor. Thinking back I should have told a cleaning staff member about this issue. A couple of curtains in the bedroom were partially detached from the curtain track so I left them closed as I thought they would fall off if I kept moving them. The ground floor is huge and is not used by the hotel guests and I didn't see labelled access to the garden. No one mentioned it.

Hotel and our room was very clean and presentable, and very quiet. Staff were very friendly and everything we ask for was provided straight away. The only thing that was not stated on their website was that their bar was closed.

I like most of all that the hotel is very close to the bus stop.

The sheets were not clean. The cleaning was really bad. Sorry, but no hoovering and no changing the linen for the whole 5 days.

I stayed in a single room there for 5 nights; every day, they did the room service and basic cleaning of the floor and toilets.

The Wi-Fi was terrible; I could barely stay connected for more than two minutes, and after 10 p.m., there was virtually no internet at all. There was also no waste bin in the room, making it difficult to dispose of takeaway rubbish. The toilet flush was extremely weak and often required 3–4 attempts to work properly.

The shower head was broken when we arrived, yet the room was still given to us in that condition. There were also several fire alarms late in the evening, around 9:15 p.m. When we went to investigate, we were told that the alarm had been activated accidentally and was being tested. Guests should have been notified properly. A fire alarm is a serious safety matter and should never be treated casually. If it was a false alarm or a planned test, this should have been communicated clearly and promptly to all guests.

Old fashioned, needs modernising. Walls need painting, fan in bathroom was very dusty. Pictures on the walls were wonky. Although numbers are provided in case of emergency the reception desk isn’t manned. You cannot book in a minute before 4pm as there’s no one there and the door is looked. The reception guy when he did arrive was not very warm or welcoming. He looked miserable and spoke miserably.

From the moment we arrived at the Mayfair Hotel in Bournemouth, we were blown away by just how brilliant everything was. Good location, room size was also nice.

Daily cleaning of the rooms was not as expected. Room cleaning only happened once when it should have been daily. We had to ask staff multiple times.

I liked only the location

I like the place, very nice, kind and friendly receptionists. Sara is a Brazilian receptionist very sweet.

A lot noise in the evening and early morning from the rooms, and not a lot plugs in the room. I just saw only one plug for everything :( Cannot make coffee when drying the hair for example :/

It would have been nice to be able to have breakfast at the hotel. The fittings and the rooms were a bit dated with some not too expertly made repairs.

The accommodation was outdated. The bath was damaged No instructions on how to use the coffee machine. No air conditioning but equally no fans on offer and the temperature was well in the 30’s.

Property was very dated, a strange smell which could be mold follows throughout the hallways and when you enter your room. You get used to the smell once you’re inside. A fridge would have been great. Staff lovely.

No bar for quick drink so had to go back out instead of sitting in room, even though when booked advertised as having one then told was closed when asked. 1 bed Mattress very poor quality was like an envelope when sat on it, son could feel bed base through it it, and considered getting on floor. Random bits of blu tac stuck around bedroom walls Didn't have energy to complain and say anything as had done a 4 1/2 hours drive and was only for 1 night, couldn't have stayed any longer

Great location for Where we needed! We parked our car up and walked everywhere we needed. Room was lovely ,very spacious,nice hot shower. Kettle and coffee machine in the room Had it for a good price I think to especially for august and a weekend Beds wernt to bad either wernt amazing but comfy enough for a two night stay They also had internet aswell I looked through a lot of the hotels reviews locally and this was the most decent one it thought I could find.

The bed was alright for a cheap overnight stay, and the location of the hotel was very conveniently located to walk to/from the railway station and the town centre.

When we checked in, the bathroom stank really strongly of smoke left over from a previous visitor, and the staff didn't really make a good attempt to clean it or offer a different room, instead claiming the smell was from coming from outside the hotel. The room's ventilation also wasn't amazing, as it got very hot during the night which, when combined with the smell of smoke, made for an unpleasant stay overall.

Widows disgusting not been cleaned in years. Shower plug hole totally blocked with hair which i had to clean & remove by hand as the water in the shower tray would not drain away during my shower. Both taps in the bathroom sink were dangerously loose. It was a very hot evening & windows restricted to a few inches to open , i had to go out & buy a fan as there was no air in the hot room. Loud noise all night long with people shouting outside the hotel , straglers from the towns bars

The staff were absolutely outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble. Attentive without being intrusive. I would one hundred percent recommend this site. For location, for staff friendliness and for facility usage.

The keys are a little tricky when inserting them into the bedroom doors so it took some attempts to initially get in the room but once the knack is achieved it's great.

Have stayed before so happy to use again. Clean, comfy & when I've stayed quiet so easy to relax & sleep. This time I had a double room which was spacious with usual tea, coffee, kettle. Here you get a little chocolate, biscoff biscuit & a coffee machine with a couple of pods. Complementary soap, shampoo, hairdryer. Didn't look to see if I had an iron this time haha. Always been clean as has the laundry in the room, bathroom. It is also in a great position for walking to the sea front or around town. If using busses it has the stops almost on its doorstep.

My only niggle is having a shower curtain that narrowed the space I had to shower. But they have become my personnel gripe where ever they are haha. I suppose you could say if you where being very fussy décor is abit tired in places but you wouldn't notice unless you stopped & looked. Has not effected my stays.

We booked this hotel through Booking.com and we were charged £196 per night, for a basic family room ( a couple and 3 year old) and the experience fell far below even basic expectations. The room we were offered had a bathroom tap that didn’t work, and, even more concerning, the bed linen had clearly not been changed after the previous guests. There was sand in the bed, and we even found jewellery on the bed under the duvet left behind by whoever had stayed there before. This is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the hotel’s hygiene standards. BTW they told me that the prepaid room rate was none refundable and that they didn’t have any other rooms available for me for the night. The carpets throughout the room were visibly dirty, stained, and looked as though they hadn’t been properly cleaned for a long time. The bathroom also felt dated, with the bathtub making creaking noises every time you stepped into it, the tap not working and giving the impression that it was unstable and in need of replacement. Despite the high room rate, there was no air conditioning and no in-room telephone or intercom, meaning you have to walk to reception whenever you need assistance. For a hotel charging nearly £200 a night, these are basic amenities that should be expected. When I reported the dirty bed linen to reception, the staff looked confused. There was no apology for the fact that the bed had not been properly prepared between guests. One member of staff did come to our room reluctantly and replace the bedding after saying he would speak to the manager and the housekeeping team, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, after the bedding was changed, we discovered a hair extension/wig under the table, further highlighting the poor standard of housekeeping. Overall, this was a very disappointing stay. The lack of cleanliness, poor maintenance, missing amenities, and indifferent customer service made it feel extremely poor value for money.

No A/C room had no window to open wide and get some fresh air.

Gave my registration at check-in but have received multiple parking charges since in the post. It is advertised as free parking and was not told that I need to do anything other than provide my registration.

The only positive thing I am able to comment on is the water was hot.

I first arrived to my room at 4pm after arriving at 11am to wait for my room to be clean and ready for me. I then found it had not been cleaned, including the bedsheets and bathroom. There was urine and pubic hairs on the toilet seat and on the floor. More hairs around the bathtub and sink and hairs under the duvet and on the pillows and yellow stains. There was blood on the carpet and it was generally unclean. I then brought it up with the staff, especially the hotel manager Sara who was rude and dismissive about it. After I complained they reluctantly gave me a new room which was also very unclean. The hotel reception smelled like dope and when I arrived back after 11pm there was lots of ‘dodgy’ people waiting around the carpark and hotel entrance for people to let them in, once in they were all gathering around the reception area.

People who leaves bed reviews for this place are very inferior and limited in their heads. People pay not a lot but expect everything. I had a perfect stay, everything is simple but clean and in a good condition. I got everything I expected.

Na het aangeven van de meerdere klachten van mijn kamer na het inchecken, heb ik zonder problemen een andere kamer gekregen. Deze kamer was van een hele andere kwaliteit en een stuk schoner en ruimer en een stabiel bed. Personeel was vriendelijk en de parkeerplaats is handig.

Mijn geboekte kamer was niet goedkoop. Toen ik binnenkwam zaten de hoofdborden van beide twin bedden los en scheef. Eén bed wankelde heel erg en stond niet stabiel en kon je eigenlijk niet op slapen. Er zat een scheur in het bad waar je je aan kunt verwonden. De doucheslang van de douchekop was erg kort waardoor deze niet hoog komt, maar daarnaast was de knop om de douchekop vast te zetten stuk, waardoor deze heel erg laag was. De slang zat niet goed vast aan de kraan, waardoor het water opzij sproeide en ik deze zelf heb dichtgedraaid. De (bad-)kamer was in zijn algeheel niet erg schoon. En dit allemaal van een hotel wat borg inhoudt "voor als er iets stuk gaat".

It was"a small double", but in reality it was quite big with 3 windows and an ensuite bathroom with 3 windows. Others had described it as "tired" & no everything was not new & spotless, yet it had character, was quiet & comfortable. Free parking a big bonus.

Had teacoffee,tv worked curtains cupboards wardrobes which I never use in hotels. Very pleased for the budget price I paid. Room was cool considering the oppressive heat.

No bar. When checking out No staff, just put keys in allotted drop place , would not stay here again, when asked where I could get a breakfast not very helpful either , found somewhere myself. I have stayed in b& B"s/ Hotel 's before, apart from good night's sleep, this is the worst stayed in you need to get it checked out, certainly not a hotel

El olor de la habitación era raro y un poco desagradable. Las sábanas tenían una mancha marrón y el edredón tampoco estaba limpio. El suelo de la habitación y el baño estaba definitivamente sucio también, no podía andar sin unas zapatillas de casa para no ensuciarme los pies.

One day after we left, still waiting for the holding down deposit, the TV screen was damaged, water in the bathroom after 5 minutes running came to a warm temperature, no toilet paper, one coffee for two people staying, the bed is old and uncomfortable.....many more

Carpet wasn't clean. It was so many hairs on the carpet. There was no bin in the bathroom. you can't lock the your bedroom from inside. It's wasn't good for privacy. Rest of the thing was nice. Staff was lovely.
