Turned up to property and then got charged £10 to park in the hotel car park. Looked like somebody had been in the room before I got there, bed was half made looked like someone had been laid on it, Glass on bed side table with water still in it and dried up coffee stains in mug. 2 dead wasps on the bathroom floor.

The host was absolutely wonderful and incredibly kind. I booked very last minute, around midnight, and despite arriving extremely late, she accepted my booking and waited outside for me at around 2am early morning. because I was having trouble finding the apartment. I really didn’t expect that level of kindness and hospitality, and I’m extremely grateful to her. The location is fantastic — you simply walk down the stairs from the apartment and you are basically on the beach. I visited in mid-September and it was beautifully peaceful and relaxing. There is a supermarket about a minute walking distance, as well as a restaurant nearby. The apartment has everything you need, including a kitchen and fridge, so it’s easy to prepare your own breakfast or meals. I especially loved the rooftop terrace. As it was outside the main season, I practically had the whole terrace to myself, which was amazing. The area is residential on motorway but you could hardly hear any cars or bus during the nights. I slept extremely well. The beach is spread around motorway all around the island but I have to say that at night I could not hear any cars or buss. The cars and buses start running around 7am till late. So yes you can hear it to your room because the beach is on main road like everywhere on island If you are looking for somewhere peaceful, relaxing and away from nightlife and parties, I would definitely recommend this place. Thank you so much again to the lovely host for making my stay so welcoming.

There was honestly nothing that negatively affected my stay. The apartment is close to the main coastal road, so you can hear some traffic during the daytime, including from the beach, but at night it became very quiet and I slept very well. As I visited outside the main season, there were also fewer cafés and restaurants open nearby, although the supermarket and a restaurant were still within a very short walk

The staff were all very nice and friendly and helpful. Excellent location, walking distance to beach (zig zag path down the cliff) and restaurants, pier etc. 2 mins walk to bus stop with busses in every direction including late night service. Nice size room with big windows and chairs, lift, etc. big ASDA 2 mins drive away. Cleanliness was good, the cleaners were very thorough and friendly. We got parking on all days on the hotel premises. Quiet location but close to everything.

Very dated, the carpet looked like it was 100 years old, vaccummed but full of stains everywhere, and very rough. There was a drain smell in the bathroom constantly, the cleaners finally left a bottle of febreeze for us in the room for the duration of our stay. It was room 241, the Patrick Swazy one. The mattress was ok. the chairs were also very old. The room was stuffy but fan was provided. The breakfast was usual Toast, eggs, beans, hash brown, bacon sausages, but the quality of ingredients was very poor. We generally like hash browns but didnt like these. it said vegetarian sausages in the menu but never saw those and didnt ask due to poor quality. there was basic cereal and 1 fruit. Just a little bit of updating could make this hotel very pleasant.

Quirky hotel. Lots of figures of celebrities around & rooms each had a celebrity name on the door with photos of said celebrity inside. Ours was Rihanna. Staff were friendly.

We had booked breakfasts for 4 days. The heater keeping the food warm was either not switched on (first day) or not adequate. The plate warmer never worked hence 4 cold breakfasts despite asking the staff. The toaster wasn't working properly. To get service in the bar you had to ring a bell which wasn't always forthcoming but pleasant when they did. Rooms were "refreshed" over the weekend so no clean towels till the last day.

I stayed at this hotel before and it’s an a very good location to the beach too. Well at least now the parking is for free which it wasn’t in the past. Just getting older and older that hotel so you can hear everything from the people above you, doors slamming, creaking floors and this time I stayed an alarm went off and it seemed to be a false alarm but that was 6am, these things happen and at least we know alarms work for safety!

The breakfast was really not great, why go for a buffet breakfast? If it’s not a 5 star hotel please don’t do a buffet, it has lack of choice, food gets cold, maybe we want scrambled eggs instead for example, needs a better coffee machine!! Management please read: -Stayed in a simple hotel in Exeter and there was a menu to order for hot food and I told them what eggs I liked and what I wanted and it all came fresh to your table quickly and nice and hot -perfect the way it should be done! 😊 and don’t put herbs on the tomato’s (they did this at hotel celebrity) 😝😬 if we wanted it maybe. Not fancy!

Inexpensive, conveniently located, it was fine for an overnight stay. Very limited interaction with the staff but receptionist was competent.

Paper thin walls felt like I was sharing the room with my neighbour (and anyone walking down the corridor)! Luckily not too busy and the room next door went to bed and got up at a reasonable time so it was ok. Breakfast was a straight up full English, and it did not look very appealing to me so I skipped it.

The theme behind the hotel would be a good idea if it was executed to higher standard! Location was close to the beach, but that is not the actual hotel itself!

the room was dirty, the carpets were extremely stained, i felt like i was being bitten all night & i now have bed bug bites! When i booked it said breakfast included & just after 7.30am my door knocked asking for £10 per person for a disgusting breakfast that has caused me food poisoning through uncooked sauages! Fire alarm went off @ 4/5am, the staff were talking whilst we were trying to check in, in their own language which made us feel very uncomfortable because we heard them talk fluent english before their own conversation, so we had no clue what they were talking about! I actually left before paying the extra breakfast fee purely because of how ill i felt & my partner & there was noway i was paying £10 per head for something so disgusting! Booked at a cheaper rate & it felt they were trying everything to stop the lower amount! We couldn't just have a single light on (lamp) as there was no separate switch it just turned 2lights on! The shower was the noisiest shower i have ever heard with one vogue spray of water that kept spraying in my eye, the shower was tiny.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. The location was perfect for the beach and a short walk from the centre.

It's a shame they don't serve food as a solo traveler it would have been nice to be able to eat on site.But this doesn't reflect on me having a lovely stay.

First night was very bad. I had constant electrical noise in the background, no hot water in the shower, no cold water in the sink and noise from a party on the premises. Rooms are not cleaned during your stay. Breakfast food was tepid not hot every day and did not improve despite asking. Carpetibg in the corridors waa grubby.i had to change my room.

On beautifully tree lined street, in walking distance of arts university. The three-person room that we had was spacious and the third bed was set apart from the others. If you pay for car parking, you have it until midnight of the day of departure.

The appearance of the public areas could be brightened up, but that’s a small consideration.

Die gesamte Einrichtung war sehr alt und teils in der Funktion eingeschränkt. Fenster und Jalousine waren so schwergängig, dass ich mich beim Öffnen 2mal leicht verletzt habe. Der Klodeckel war lose, die Temperatur der Dusche schwer einzustellen, der Klorollenhalter kaputt. Überall lag sehr viel Staub, es hat im Bad teils nicht gut gerochen. Der Zimmerservice fiel 1mal aus. Insgesamt viel zu teuer für die Qualität.

I have been to this hotel many times. I has gone down hill with upkeep of hotel. Breakfast is now at a charge which was disappointing. Unable to go the bar. Plumbing is shocking. Floor boards unacceptable. Noise was unbelievable, never slept. Should be a time to keep quiet. Afraid won't be returning. Very sad.

The property is in need of renovation but for the price you pay it’s what one would expect.

The corridors' and room carpets are very old. The corridor walls are rough and unattractive. There is no fridge in the rooms. The bunkbed and the shower have disturbing noises. The table's paint has been peeled. But, the hospitality around reception and breakfast is very good. And, relatively rooms are cheaper (has good value for money).

We had a very bad experience at this hotel. We booked a four-night stay, but unfortunately, we could not stay for the full booking. We checked out two days early because we simply could not stay there for more than two nights. We assumed from the pictures and the basic facilities advertised that the room would have air conditioning, but there was none. This was not clearly mentioned on the hotel’s website either. The room was extremely hot and uncomfortable. There were also no pictures of the bathroom when we booked. When we arrived, we found that the bathroom was very old and not what we expected. The carpet in the room also had an unpleasant smell, which made the experience even worse. We had also requested a cot bed for our toddler when making the booking. However, when we went to reception to ask about it, we were told that it had not been ticked or requested on their system. We are certain that we had selected this option when making the booking, so this was another disappointment. The food was also very basic and disappointing. Overall, it was a very strange and unpleasant experience, and definitely something I will learn from when booking hotels in the future. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. We feel that we paid much more than the hotel was actually worth, especially considering the poor condition of the room, the lack of basic facilities, and the overall experience.

Good location for town centre, but that is it! A very tired, run down hotel. Dirty stained carpets in reception, dated decor. You’ll have to pay £10 extra a night just to park! Room was dated, poorly maintained. Double glazed windows full of water, bathroom shelves were just brackets. Shower head filthy and faulty. Did not risk eating breakfast on site. Truly terrible!!

Albergo anticotto, prenotate due stanze.doppie, una era piccolissima, armadio senza ante né stampelle, nessun gancio per gli asciugamani, ancora rubinetti separati senza miscelatore. Colazione a 10 sterline a persona ed era meno che una colazione base....no yogurt no affettati no formaggio....no dolci di qualsiasi tipo...soltanto toast e 3 marmellate senza un cucchiaio di portata per prenderne un pò, veramente incredibile. Personale molto gentile, ma non basta

We had an event at the hotel for the weekend, paid to stay an extra night which we spoke to receptionist about while checking in. Everything was said to be OK. Come the Sunday morning, maid knocked said we hadn't booked, hotel staff then hasseled us even though do not disturb was on the door. My partner had to go down to the main reception with booking from here, which wasn't good enough and told he was a liar. The conversation on Friday didn't happen. Then I went down, and the lady then said it did happen. There was a glitch. Even though we had to pay again for parking even though it was put in for 3 nights. The staff we very rude. I feel I would have been treated better if I hadn't booked through bookings . Com as he kept stating.

The car park is small, but that have been ok if we were told by reception that there was another car park at the back of the hotel. No information regarding checkout or breakfast. Dirty carpets in entrance and a mismatch of furniture and carpets. The hotel was very hot and unfortunately our room was changed at the last minute to one at the very end of the building. Again Dirty carpets, new taps in bath needed as they didnt turn on. Again very old and tired bathroom but that would have been ok if the taps worked. No mirror at all and we asked at reception for a mirror but was told the maintenance man wouldn't be in any time soon!! I would have thought a mirror would have been an essential part of the furnishings. Dirty walls and blinds and ridiculously hot room. We were meant to have a twin room but were changed to a double, the double was actually a queen size bed which was inadequate for 2 female friends to sleep in. We are not in a relationship ship. Looking out if the window in the hallway down to the fire escape stairs was horrendous. Dirty, rubbish, old machinery, just awful. The garden area was a mismatch of garden chairs and old plastic flowers in pots. It was sad to see no effort had been made and we paid an awful high rate, and the hotel was full. Breakfast was cold so I gave up!! Very disappointed and ruined our weekend. I would attend the event again but definitely not stay in this hotel. Such a shame.

1/ no parking space 2/ The person at the reception didn't know what she was doing and confused us with other customers and was arguing with us about the beds in our room 3/ the twin room tv didn't work, and the bedsheets were stained 4/ room 111 had a leaking toilet, so it continuously made a dripping noise 5/ changed to a room upstairs, which was unbearably hot 35 degrees+, stained sheets with lipstick, no shower gel, bed threading at the bottom 6/ Hotel views of pipes for room 109 Bruce Springsteen or for room 234 Tommy Cooper a burnt building 7/ Tommy Cooper room was so creepy. Having a dead person looking at you all night!!! 8/ at checkout as we had to park our car on the street we moved our car in the car park to load our luggage... well, we were asked to pay £10 just for getting 2 backpacks and rearrange our car!!! I went back to the manager, and she charged me £5 out of goodwill!!! This hotel is not worth the money and it is very disappointing to have it listed on booking. com as an acceptable hotel! It needs a complete refurbishment!

Upon arrival, there was a booking mess up, that led to our family being split in different rooms on different floors. The Hotel in parts is very tired and needs significant refurbishment. Outside in places is very unkempt and unattractive. The rooms have little theme, that the hotel promotes ( 3 Pictures on the wall.) The Tv in one room didn't work. The shower in the other room didn't work properly. The staff seemed so stretched that there was never anyone on the desk.

Better than expected for the price paid. Reception staff very friendly. Room was clean and shower worked. Breakfast was fine and reasonably priced. Outside seating off the bar. No charge for parking my motorbike.

The blinds in the room were broken making them difficult to open and close. No curtains(just poles) so room very light at 5am. No AC or fan. But its not a 4 star hotel.

Everything will be perfect but this happens to me second time I stay in this hotel , lady called Rita probably menager of housekeeping, dark hair , extremely annoying, loud and rude from 11 am keep banging to everyone door to say to leave the place as is checking out . I said I know is checking out but if she can give me an extra time to get ready as I just wake up now , so she was keep banging the door every 5 min . She was doing this for what ? I do stay in a lot of hotels and never happen to me like I explained i need a few min to get ready . So she was keep coming back and banging the door like is no tomorrow!!!!! Extremely annoying woman and loud and is happening 2 time and with this only reason I will never stay thete again , all rooms was open and I dont believe it she was about to clean rooms in THIS SAME TIME AS I WAS WORKING IN A HOTEL AND I KNOW HOW THIS WORK AND I NEVER SEE OR EXPERIENCE ANNOYING WOMAN WHO KEEP REMINDING AND ANNOYING GUESTS ONLY FOR WHAT BENNEFITS ? Extremely poor hotel room at Hotel Celebrity Bournemout by Villare hotels :- 1. NO carpet in the room , only wooden floor boards. 2. Television did NOT work. 3. Hotel reception staff did NOT communicate that the television did NOT work. 4. Noisy late at night after midnight. 5. Control switch on cooling fan was loose. 6. One light on left-side of bed not working , and one light on right-side of bed not working. 7. Small stain on curtain (in top right corner). 8. Small mark on wall next to socket in corner next to window. 9. Back of television remote control missing.

Das gebuchten Zimmer hatte eine defekte Toilette. Wir waren zu 3. Einmal spülen pro Stunde muß reichen!!! Bereits nach dem Check in wurde das Problem angesprochen. Als wir 3 Stunden später wieder kamen, war noch umher nichts passiert. Ein anderes Zimmer war nicht möglich. Preislich entgegenkommen auch nicht. Pech gehabt bzw. wir wurden mehrfach erinnert, dass die Toilettenspülen schon gehen würde.... eben laaaaaaaannnnnnnggggggssssssaaaaam. Diskussionen um 23 Uhr machen einfach keinen Spaß. Gott sei Dank waren wir nur 1 Nacht da. Teppich im Zimmer und auch die Ablageflächen waren nicht sauber. Das Bett und das Badezimmer war (Sauberkeit) in Ordnung.

The staff were very attentive and efficient in resolving—or attempting to resolve—the issues that arose, such as problems with the shower or TV. Gary, in particular, helped us open our suitcase when the lock got stuck.

We had a few issues, such as the shower not working properly, but it was resolved. The only thing that didn't work was the TV; there were problems with the channel connections.

Great value for an oldschool holiday hotel. Amazing drawing room with unique museum-style collections of artefacts and memorabilia. Staff went over and above for me when I accidentally left my laptop in the bar. Next evening they confirmed the night porter had found it and kept it safe, till I fetched it. I left a gift for the staff, but still felt guilty it wasn’t enough, as I’d have been very upset if I’d lost all the photos on it.

Was very hot in my room, and with no aircon, I couldn’t defeat the heatwave we were having.

Das so ein Hotel noch bestehen kann ist für mich als Österreicher ein Wunder - schmuddelige alte Teppiche im Haus (ca 70er Jahre) alte Einrichtung die heruntergekommen ist das Personal oberflächlich und unfreundlich - weiters KEINE Klimaanlage im Zimmer (es war dampfig und stickig im Zimmer) alles alt und schäbig - in Österreich wäre dieses Hotel schon lange weggerissen worden - verstehe das nicht dass man das nicht renoviert oder ein bisschen Geld reinsteckt - da ist der Hollywood flair gleich dahin ( sollte anscheinend vermittelt werden

Clean to a reasonable standard ( bedding etc) but dust on most surfaces and under beds tables. Bathroom really outdated with window facing other room so not really private. Housekeeping came in with key while we were in the room so gave us a big scare too.

We knew this was not going to be a 5 star experience after watching the episode of “Hotel Inspector” with Alex Polizzi. We arrived at 2.45pm and had to wait till 3pm before checking in. Room was clean. There was a water fountain in the corridor which meant we could refill out bottles with chilled water. The receptionist lent my daughter a phone cable to charge her phone. She also liked the fact he rescued a butterfly that got tapped inside the breakfast room! Good location close to the beach
