The location of the property is great. Walking distance from the beach and the main pier area. Quiet area so you can have a peaceful stay. Very nicely maintained hotel and the room was clean and tidy. The lobby area and the garden area is beautiful for a chill time. We took a room for 3 people and it spacious. Good value for money as well. The staff were lovely. Would definitely recommend.

It was clean . Breakfast was good but maybe add yoghurts and more fruits to the menu .The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is only around 10 minutes from seafront . Plenty of buses around .

4th stay this year just says it all darlings...location location oh location .. a Gem of a gorg place and Southbourne alones a stuming and clean town.. its like the 60s with money and no 3rd world immgration..ie your children are safe.. v low crime and no vile Mosques...

The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Always willing to assist and answer any questions. The whole hotel is impeccably clean. The beds and quilt covers so cozy and room size amazing! We had a accessible room. Excellent location for town and beach..

Lift was bit small for a wheelchair. Shower great temperature but too much pressure. At breakfast the bacon very under done and sausage not very nice to taste. Would be nice to have yogurt choice at breakfast and a biscuit in room with teas and coffee. Nothing to do with hotel, but the area not wheelchair friendly at all for either manual or electric. The garden grounds a bit neglected but lawn well kept..

The plug sockets next to the bed are specially shaped to only fit the lamps so I had to charge my phone on the desk rather than bedside table which was annoying. Bathroom is quite narrow.

It's a quaint hotel. We played pool in the evenings and bought a drink at the bar. If you didn't want to go to your room straight away then you could comfortably downstairs.

Parking, even if you pay for it is not guaranteed.

We thought the Grove was very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent, the staff were very helpful.

Had a bit of a problem getting the shower temperature up but the weather was exceedingly hot so not a major concern and we never informed the staff who would no doubt have shown us how to use it.

The staff are exceptional. We received a warm evening welcome and the following morning Alise looked after us during breakfast and checkout. My dietary needs were carefully taken into account. Like fact the bar area is open 24/7. Did not use on this visit but would in future

Our late booking double was noisy at night . We live in countryside so we noticed the nearby road noise. However the great location, clean, comfortable room outweighed this by far.

Was very special to me because the last time I stayed there it was run by the mcmillan cancer trust and my mum was there during her respite days for lung cancer. I never knew it was now a hotel and it bought back so many memories. Thank you so much...

Was a Shame the garden grounds aint maintained how it once was..the swing with the canopy i once sat there with my mum and it was beautiful, looked left and unattended

Roberto and Elon were both amazing to us from start to finish,.nothing was too much trouble and we felt very much looked after. The hotel rooms are spacious and clean, and the layout is very orderly in the common/dining areas - furthermore the gardens at the rear are a lovely tranquil place to ponder life with a glass of your favourite tipple. We would highly recommend the Grove Hotel! We really can't fault it at all, we loved it!

Everything! Lovely little hotel, staff were all amazing, good parking, room refreshed everyday (big thank you to Telma). There was a nice big fan in the room. Choice of stairs or lift up to the rooms! Would recommend! We didn't eat at the hotel but the breakfast smelled amazing each morning, and the breakfast room always looked nice!

Loved the breakfast, both hot and cold food, and drink, lovely breakfast room looking out to garden. Easy to find hotel, as stayed before a few years ago, close to local travel links, and few minutes walk to town centre,beach, etc. We had a nice room, very big, with big bathroom, close to both lift, and stairs. The staff were very helpful, and friendly. used the cliff path, steps to go down to beach, and back up again later, and has benches at certain points on path to si on, and get good views of beach.

could not use lift on last day, as was out of order, being worked on, used the stairs.

Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr ruhig und von großen Bäumen und einem schönen Garten umgeben und liegt nahe zum Strand. Die Zimmer sind sauber, aber etwas in die Jahr gekommen. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist gut und ausreichend. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und Hilfbereit; besonders Alice und Roberto.

Leider gab es keinen Kühlschrank mehr im Zimmer. Wir hätten zum Frühstück gerne Joghurt gehabt...

​An absolutely perfect weekend getaway! The location is fantastic—close to the beach, vibrant nightlife, and great restaurants. The property also features a beautiful garden and serves a delicious full English breakfast with excellent coffee. What truly made it unforgettable, though, was the incredibly friendly staff. Staff were extremely friendly and breakfast was superb. Also the lift was great as I had just had a knee replacement.

Bournemouth is quite hilly and going downhill into the town was fine but back up to the hotel. Phew !!!

We loved how friendly the employees of Grove Hotel. They explained the hotel's rules and benefits very clearly. Room was extreamly clean and tide. Location amazing, you can walk to town or beachs around 12mins by walk. Price and the value is extreamly fair!

Bed and pillows would be more comfortable cause we couldn't sleep well, it was a bit short if you are more than 178. We stayed on standart small room. The locker was broken so we kept our personal belongings at car, but it wasn't an issue so we didn't report. There is not a fridge so if you plan to having a drink at night don't purchase anything outside to keep it cold, but honestly they have a great cozy break room and bar which is open 7/24 so it's also fair enough. Shower was extreamly small and hard to turn around hehe but it's fine.

I like the location and the size of the room

no soup or shampoo in our toilet. only one towel for two people super warm, no air conditioner I have the feeling they did not prepare the room for us. However when I booked the place I received a message with all the requirements to stay in here. I do feel a bit uncomfortable and unwelcome. The room has a fan, but it was not enough to cope the heat.

Location was perfect for visiting Bournemouth - we had a twin room which was a really good size, plenty of space. The room was clean and very comfortable.

A lovely hotel. We had an amazing greeting by Roberto upon arrival who looked after us throughout our stay. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was ample and cooked by a lovely young man. Very good location. Would certainly stay again.

Eigenlijk niets. Wel een hoger gelegen locatie dus naar het strand is voor ouderen misschien lastig. Later bleek er iok een bus te gaan.

Elegant hotel met een aangename sfeer, gelegen in een groene omgeving. Mooie comfortabele kamer. Het personeel is hartelijk en servicegericht. Vlakbij het strand en het centrum.

The hotel was more like an old people’s home than a hotel . Odd furniture , very cheap bedroom curtains that did not fit the window , bedroom windows blown . Basic bathroom facilities no toilet rolls just a tissue dispenser like a public toilet . Booked two rooms through booking.com with some friends expecting what I thought was a good deal . To find my friends had phoned the hotel direct and got a better deal , and paid less for three nights than we did for two , theirs including breakfast and car parking also . When checking in we asked if they could do anything for us re parking or breakfast to be told ! No you should have booked direct and Not through booking .com then you would have got free breakfast and free parking ! Parking was £10 per day we paid the parking but refused to give the money for breakfast so chose to give an independent cafe our money for breakfast . So disappointed with this hotel and the attitude of the staff . Wasn’t the stay we were expecting . The garden is more like a public park with random members of the public coming in and eating prepackaged sandwiches and having picnic’s . This hotel has potential but needs a total renovation , and some matching furniture not random sofas that look like they have come from eBay ! Disappointing over price trip away !

The staff, especially the manager, Roberto - friendly, helpful and very efficient. The breakfast -- standard "full English" and also lighter options. The room - good size with a spacious bathroom. Comfortable bed. The location -- 10 minutes walk from town centre in one direction and the beach and pier area in another, and a bus stop a minute's walk away that gets you most places a tourist would want to go.

Just quibbles -- the house is old and could do with a bit of maintenance here and there, eg repainting window frames. The bathroom "freebies" -- they only provide liquid soap wall dispensers, no shampoo, conditioner, shower cap. There's a cabinet clearly meant to hold a mini-fridge but it's empty. Would have been really really useful to have had a fridge in it! And this isn't their fault but be aware that if you end the day tired and would rather pick up something to eat in, than go out again -- there isn't anywhere to buy closer than the town centre. The convenience store in the petrol station opposite is useless. (And you can't buy stuff to last a couple of days cos there's no fridge).

Staff were very friendly and very accommodating, nothing was to much trouble. The room was clean and tidy with coffee and tea facilities and the bed was comfy. Though it was a short stay we will be returning at some point.

The room and en suite were very good, the staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was magnificent.

It has a twenty-four hour bar, so that already-inebriated youths came in after closing time in Bournemouth and made sufficient noise to wake us on the floor above and keep us awake at 3.00 am. Not the best experience.

Zimmer lag in Richtung einer sehr lauten Straße, schlafen mit offenem Fenster unmöglich. Andere Zimmer können evtl. deutlich besser sein. Die Dusche ist relativ eng.

Arrived late so had to use the paid parking behind the building. But the hotel was mostly quiet. There is a bit of road noise in the back rooms where I was, but it did not stop me sleeping. Should have gone for a walk along the beach! Next time!

Tiene una muy buena ubicación. Excelente calidad precio. Muy limpios la habitación y el baño. Es sencillo pero precioso y tiene todo lo necesario para una estancia agradable en Bournemouth. Tiene ventilador en la habitación, pero es difícil quedarse en el hotel si hay una ola de calor. El desayuno es sencillito pero bastante rico. El ambiente es agradable. Lo mejor: el jardín precioso. Sin lugar a dudas repetiré.

El wifi no funcionaba muy bien y el internet se caía todo el rato, lo que hizo complicado trabajar desde el hotel. Si hay una ola de calor como la que hemos tenido a finales de Mayo 2026, hace bastante calor tanto en las zonas comunes como en la habitación.

The location was fantastic, so close to the beach, the staff were so helpful you couldn't fault them. Anything we asked for they fulfilled. My Mum is disabled and they got her extra pillows to prop her up in bed a nice touch. Great to have a full disabled bathroom with grab rails etc, and a shower seat, couldn't have asked for a better bathroom for her.
