This is a real gem! Alpenheim family owned 4-star hotel deserves all 5 stars! Everything is designed to provide maximum comfort to the guests at all times. Attention to detail is second to none. Very warm, welcoming, professional and caring team is there always to help. Fantastic facilities, perfect location , delicious food, indoor and outdoor pool and spa together with very comfortable rooms and beautiful views made our visit just perfect . Special thanks to Carol and Juliana who made sure we had everything we needed during our stay . Would love to come back !

What a lovely hotel! From check-in to dinner and anything you needed in between the staff was amazing and the rooms are lovely and spacious. We had two balconies to enjoy the view over the town. Spa services and the pre-fix dinner menus are great! My husband and I both had facials and massages. Hotel is short 10-15 minute walk to the gondolas. We will be back! 🤩💕

We loved every moment at the resort. We were very sad to leave. The location is fantastic, the space is really beautiful and inviting. Our room was brand new, beautiful and with a great view. The staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They arranged anything we asked for, even helped me book a haircut in town

Excellent boutique hotel. Yes, it is Charming. Staff very attentive, friendly and helpful. Room is very comfortable and well apportioned. Spa pool area is fantastic. Location is great, it spills out on to a walkway that goes into town (with an escalator if you don't want to walk the whole way). Walk to the cable car. The views from the hotel are excellent -- try and stay facing the mountain, but if not walk the walkway at dusk. Really clean, well maintained, friendly place within walking distance of the cable car.

if you want to relax en enjoy the wonderful walkings in de mountains you must stay over here. after een hike you kan relax in swimmingpool and sauna or in the garden. The breakfast en diners are really great en tastfull. And the people that work over there ar so helpful, friendly and relaxed

We have just had another wonderful stay at the Alpenheim Hotel in Ortisei – we usually ski in the winter and stay there but this was the first time doing a walking holiday in the summer in the Dolomites. Their service is exceptional - they are a family run hotel and I believe they give the best service because they really care about looking after their customers. Nothing is too much trouble and they are all very approachable, helpful and professional. The food is excellent with a variety of menus (with wines to match) plus there are stunning views of the valleys from their restaurant and patios. They have undertaken a major refurbishment of their bedrooms too this year – they are top quality and very chic. Their spa and wellness areas are luxurious and it was lovely to be able to sunbathe by the pool area outside as well as enjoy all their wonderful spa facilities which are available. Another reason we like staying there is the easy walking access to Ortisei, without having to stay in the middle of the town but in reach of Alpes di Suisi and good access to Santa Kristina and on to the Sella Ronda etc. In the winter they have their ski bus to take clients to local ski stations and also they have their own ski and summer walking guide (Andreu) included in the price of your stay, 3 times a week, which is a real bonus. It did not surprise me, when talking to other guests, that they return year after year which is proof that this hotel is a real jewel. Thanks to George, Veronika and Karol Vinazter family, and all of their staff, for making it such an wonderful place to stay. My only other recommendation is to book early for winter or summer to avoid missing out!!

The management was very unpleasant. Nothing charming about the conduct of the manager Georg, despite the name of the hotel. We were given a 'Deluxe Room'. There is no airconditioning in there. My wife was pregnant and the room was unbearably hot. We left the doors and windows open to try to keep the room cool. We were woken by a rubbish truck at 3am and suppliers from 5am onwards. When I complained and asked for a fan, I was given a vertical heater. I was then confronted by Georg, who refused to sit with me to listen to my concerns. He instead was very abrupt and told me he has another room but I will have to pay another EUR 60 for it. After one unpleasant nights sleep I told him this was unacceptable and the least he can do is give us a fan to keep cool or if not, give us another room at no extra cost so at least we have one pleasant nights sleep. I asked him 'What would you prefer? A customer who is unhappy or give us this room (which was available) and at least have a customer who is satisfied?' His reply was 'I do not respond to people who put a gun to my head like this. If you want the room, it's EUR 60'. Well, my primary concern being to look after my pregnant wife and enjoy what was left of our stay, I eventually paid EUR 80 (EUR 60 for the room plus an additional EUR 20 in tax). Needless to say, we are very disappointed with the conduct of the owner, who cares more about the EUR 60 than the true comfort and happiness of his guests. I strongly recommend clients seek other similarly priced hotels with better management.

Very cozy rooms, everything was very cleanly and organized/new and well thought out, provided amazing items like slippers,bag,robe,flip flops for pool, etc. Very nice views, staff are very friendly and helpful with information on the Dolomites/hikes, great breakfast, amazing stay overall.

Beautiful hotel with incredible spa facilities and views. Easy 10 min walk into town and the cable cars up to Secada and Alp De Susi. Very peaceful and relaxing stay!

We loved the rooms, the staff were super helpful and kind, the pool area is amazing. It walkable to everything.

The newly renovated rooms were excellent. The hotel has friendly staff. The facilities are amazing; I quite enjoyed the pool and sun bathing area. Excellent breakfast and the location is great.

Views of the Dolomites were exceptional. Spa experience was lovely. Wait staff were friendly.

Beware that Booking.com stays are not treated like other guests as it relates to included meals such as breakfast and dinner. No coffee maker in room unless you were in a suite. No AC in rooms. Steep hill to return from town.

Sehr gutes Hotel mit sehr freundlichem und hilfsbereitem Personal und gutem Frühstück. Schönes neues Zimmer ohne Klimaanlage und mit etwas zu kleinem Balkon. Wunderschöne Spa-Landschaft mit Pool innen und außen und sehr schöner, ruhiger Liegewiese.

Im Badezimmer war der Zugang zur Dusche etwas eng, der Balkon war etwas zu klein. Der Fernseher steht etwas störend mitten im Raum und erschwert den Zugang zum kleinen Schreibtisch. Das Frühstück war gut, die Auswahl könnte größer sein. Das Abendessen war gut, aber in Relation zum Gebotenen zu teuer!

It is such a beautiful place! It is located on top of the hill overlooking the town of Ortisei. The breakfast was great and the staff were amazing and very friendly. We were able to book a massage as an add on one of the days after a long hike, which was perfect.

There was no air conditioning or fans in the rooms. We tried opening the door a bit at night but then flies would come in. I used my small personal fan and it worked well to help keep cool at night. It was also a walk up a steep hill every time coming back from a long day. It was very doable but I was always out of breath by the time I got to the hotel.

Incredible hotel, the ambient make you feel so relaxed, amazing breakfast, staff is nice and room are clean and cozy and the pool is amazing. There is a nice 10min walk to the town, with the snow is magical. One of the best hotel I've been 10/10

We had the most wonderful stay at Alpenheim. The hotel is just beautiful! From the lobby area, bar, pool, dining area, outdoor spaces, our room - I wish we had a few more days! Staff are friendly and helpful. It is a short walk to cable cars and the town center.

We had an amazing stay at Alpenheim! From the moment we checked in, the front desk staff was so lovely. Our room was very spacious and had a great view of the mountains. The spa and pool area were perfect and very relaxing. The breakfast each morning was also great and had a wide variety of food to choose from! The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to the Seceda cable car so it was very convenient to get to our hikes as well. Would definitely stay here again!

The hotel does have some nice features: the staff were generally friendly, the room was clean, and the view from the hotel was lovely. Breakfast was rich and delicious, with plenty of choices — definitely one of the highlights.

However, the overall value for money was quite low. We were traveling with a child, and although the staff asked at check-in if we needed a bed prepared, this should have been arranged beforehand since we had already booked for a family. What really made the experience unpleasant was the sense of unequal treatment toward Asian guests. Our room was placed in a low corner of the hotel, and the sofa was even torn. During breakfast, we noticed that Asian guests were seated in a darker corner of the restaurant, away from the windows, while Western guests were all given bright tables near the windows. It was quite uncomfortable and disappointing to see. Overall, despite some good aspects, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to Asian travelers — it simply doesn’t offer good value or fair treatment.

Superb 5 course dinner at an ad on cost of 20 euros! Halibut, wild boar, homemade pasta beautifully prepared and presented by three fabulous chefs. Gorgeous indoor outdoor pool so warm you can swim in the rain. Fantastic location with gorgeous views.

Wonderful hotel in a perfect location. Indoor outdoor warm pool. You can swim comfortably in the rain with the most beautiful view. The 5 course dinner is quite frankly superb at an ad on cost of 20 euros for half board! See my photos of some of the menus. Halibut, wild boar, mountain trout, superb home made pasta dishes, divine deserts. I came for three days and stayed for the week. Karen, many thanks for your help with every request. Don’t hesitate! Book half board!

Expensive for value received. Unreliable plumbing. The toilet would keep running, even after two notifications to management. The shower had unpredictable swings in temperature. The location is on the fringe of town and quite a steep walk to return to the hotel. We will not stay here again.

A wonderful hotel, with a marvelous restaurant, the best indoor/outdoor pool with amazing views. The best people both in the reception and the restaurant. We just love this place!

The property is brilliantly located - just 10 minutes easy walk into town and the Seceda cable car but higher up and south west facing to catch the afternoon sun. Lots of relaxation areas and loungers. Top notch cuisine - the five course dinner is much lighter than it sounds! Staff very attentive. Good balconies to the rooms (ours was on the corner).

Excellent hotel with professional staff and delicious food.. The rooms are clean comfortable and some have Fabolous views over the valley. We were a group of mountain bikers and the staff made us very welcome. We used the garage space for charging and storage. Thoroughly recommend.. Can't wait to return.

A gorgeous and convenient location for this truly special hotel. The atmosphere, the guest room, service, food and spa facilities were all first class. The pools were just amazing- perfect for swimming or relaxing. We want to return soon for another stay.

The location is really walkable to the restaurants and old town but is quiet. The amenities were lovely and the room was really clean. Breakfast was a standout.

The room had a strange sloped ceiling that we hit our head on many times.

Very comfortable and luxurious hotel, located in Ortisei which is very fine place for hikers and skiers in Val Gardena, South-Tyrol. The host was very helpful and all his staff very professional. We didn't have ime the check the spa but from outside it looked interesting. The restaurant was extremely good. Professional staff and the menu interesting. Their breakfast was also very good. We will book accommodation there again.

We had trouble to sleep due to high temperature in the room but outside was 22°C or higher. Probably it isn't common to have air-condition in such buildings in this area. For people living in the northern most part of Europe it caused bit of a problem. There was also problem to park the car as the streets are very narrow. The host took though well care of the issue for us. Second night we got space in the car parking house of the hotel. One advice, book a car lot in advance and there will be no problems :) They have very nice car park at the -1 floor, spacious, clean and good lights

Beautiful hotel and spa. Amazing view of the town from above, loved the pool that overlooks the town and mountains as well. There is a nice 10 minute trail right off the property that takes you into the center of town as well as the cable cars to Seceda and Alpe di Suisi. Modern and clean with a very nice bar and dining area, nice outdoor patio area as well. Would definitely stay there again. The staff was also very nice.

Parking can be difficult

We booked the room and half board. I was not expecting such a delicious breakfast and 5 course dinners! The indoor/outdoor pool was perfect for relaxing after a day of hiking and sightseeing. This was the perfect stay for us. We were a bit concerned because we did not have a care and the hotel is a decent walk from the main bus stop. Turns out there is another bus stop closer to the hotel but we ended up walking back and forth. We also received a pass for bus transport. A nice touch was the back back in our room in case we needed it for hiking. Best hotel stay we've ever had.

Location and restaurant

The location was beautiful. We loved the amenities, including the heated pool and relaxing pool area. The breakfast and dinner were also excellent as were the staff. This hotel exceeded our expectations.

We enjoyed a lovely week at the Alpenheim, the owners are really welcoming and all the staff are super friendly, caring and helpful. The food was incredible, a good choice every day and the afternoon buffet was very welcome. The shuttle bus to and from the lifts was very important to us and it worked well thanks to Robert's skilful driving! There are some lovely walks and the hotel reception has maps of hiking trails if you don't want to ski every day. The pool and spa are really lovely, very clean and it was peaceful when we were there. We would definitely return.

Our group of 6 had the most amazing time in Ortisei and it was a big part due to the staff at The Charming Alpenheim Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the owner was on site and welcomed us to the hotel. We changed into our ski gear and Robert dropped us off directly in front of the lifts. Although the bus stops directly in front of the hotel, having Robert was a pleasure as he made the transfer much quicker and pick ups were a breeze! We truly loved the wait staff at the hotel. Included in the price is breakfast and dinner daily. The food was excellent and the staff always had a big smile on their faces. My room was the family room and it could have easily fit 6 people. We only had 2 and we loved the views from the patio, the beds were comfortable but perhaps the best part was the spa after skiing! It was the perfect place to enjoy our ski vacation!

We have just had a fantastic 4 night stay at this hotel in Ortisei. The staff are amazing, the place is very well run. The rooms are great, the beds are comfortable, the food is excellent, the drinks are also delicious and nothing is too much trouble. There is a shuttle service to the ski lifts, the spa is wonderful and the massage is recommended. The outside jacuzzi is super special and the whole place has a great vibe. A superb family run hotel with a really delightful team of staff. Highly recommended for couples, and families.

The only staff who were more or less client oriented were the waiters in the restaurant. This seems to be the only “pro”

Overall level of service closer to a 3-star hotel. Be prepared to have a feeling that you are there for the hotel management and staff and not vise a versa, when they are there for the client (how it should be). “Contras” or what will spoil your vacation: 1. The amount of light switched in the room is huge - no common logic of how they all work so you will need to take your card out to turn off the light. Otherwise you will be sleeping with a few lamps on 2. In case you want to/ have to go skiing later than 12 - NO driver is there to take you with your skis and boots to the mountain. You will have to carry it all yourself because the driver has siesta until 2:30 or 3pm. No one cares that you paid money and this service e was included 3. In case you have a zoom or similar vcr in the morning - room cleaning will be knocking in your door every 15 min and trying to turn off the light (the latter looked pretty shocking). Again because you need to fit into their schedule and not vise a versa. 4. No pens and paper to make notes in the room 5. No instructions on how the telephone works, in case you have a question, be prepared to walk to the reception. 6. Any late checkout costs money, even if it is +1 hour and no guests are expected to move into your room. So you will be kicked out at 11am sharp 7. Dirty plates at breakfast 8. We really enjoyed our stay here, the Spa is fantastic, the food is wonderful, the bar area very relaxing, and the shuttle bus to the lifts was very welcome. Most of the staff have worked there for a long time which is always a good sign! Everyone was friendly and helpful.

The hotel is owned by a family who is always present and try to satisfy all your needs. Even if it is a dog friendly hotel it is very clean, we did not felt dog smell or heard dog barks. Everything we tried at the restaurant was delicious. They also offered second plate if you wanted more or extra if you would like to try another dish. The ski room was big and clean. The spa is beautiful, with a heated pool both inside and outside. The saunas and relax room were separated, adults only. We were bothered by one thing: while our children were playing in the pool, other guests complained, even though there were other families with children who were noisier than ours. Only we were told that we were causing a disturbance. The pool was not a relaxation area; that was completely separate, and guests seeking relaxation could go there. Room was confortable, but a little bit noisy from the street. We had the first floor facing the street, luckily the street wasn’t very crowded. They had a very nice driver Robert who took us to the lifts and back with a minivan. They were selling skipass in the reception and also you could rent equipment online and find it in the skiroom when you arrived. We also asked for ski service and we left it in the evening and found them ready in the morning!
