In armadio mancavano appendini per i pantaloni e non ho potuto riporre il mio guardaroba. Ho chiesto e me ne hanno portati a sufficienza. Le abat-jour a fianco dei letti erano montate al contrario con l’apertura in alto e si vedevano le scritte interne ….o si girano o si chiudono con un coperchio….inguardabili. Per essere un 4 saltella l’acqua di cortesia dovrebbe essere sempre disponibile; c’erano 2 bottigliette a inizio soggiorno e poi basta. Il frigobar era vuoto. Ripeto che per un 4 stelle potrebbe esserci qualcosa in più senza doversi rivolgere al servizio in camera per avere una bottiglietta d’acqua. Niente bollitore o macchina del caffè che oramai si trovano anche negli hotel 3 stelle.

Un hotel de 4 🌟 tiene que cuidar algunos detalles más., por ejemplo en el baño tapa del inodoro acorde con el mismo.

La posizione centrale e panoramica con vista sul mare vicino all imbarcadero per Portofino e 5 Terre a dieci minuti a piedi dalla stazione dei treni . Il personale gentile, la camera pulitissima, gradevole e accogliente il solarium con vista mare e il letto da una piazza e mezza anche se camera singola rischiara da ampia finestra e porta finestra con balcone vista mare.

Frühstück war exzellent, und das Personal sehr freundlich.

Das Zimmer war extrem klein... zu einem viel zu hohen Preis. Ameisen mag ich nicht sehr im Badezimmer. Und die Matratze hat uns immer Rückenschmerzen bereitet.

Das Hotel liegt perfekt am Hafen mit Blick auf den Hafen. Zimmer sind nicht sehr groß aber gut ausgestattet ( ARD Programm vorhanden für Italien eher selten) mit Balkon oder Terrasse - alle mit Blick zum Hafen. Der Pool auf der Dachterrasse ist nicht besonders groß, aber zum abkühlen und ein ein paar Schwimmzüge reicht es, Liegestühle sind vorhanden. Der Blick von dort auf den die Umgebung und besonders die Bucht ist traumhaft. Beim Frühstück fehlte eigentlich nichts. Wir hatten einen Parkplatz (Box) im Parkhaus nicht weit entfernt gebucht 30€ pro Nacht) - ideal. Wir waren seit 35 Jahren schon öfters in diesem Hotel und kommen immer gerne wieder. Mit dem Bus oder Schiff nach Portofino fahren und zum Leuchtturm wandern (dort ist eine Bar) ist Pflicht :-)

Location, views of the harbor, the pool at the end of a hot day touring , breakfast buffet was lively and staff was very accommodating.

Air conditioning could be a little stronger. Internet was out in our rooms.

We have been coming here as a family a number of times now because it feels like our luxury home away from home on the Riviera. The double and triple rooms are large and comfortable with individual airconditioning and gorgeous terraces. The pool is the ideal size to take a break from sunbathing and enjoy the view on the gorgeous terrace. The gym is also a great asset as it can sometimes get too hot to exercise outside. The breakfast at the Laurin is one of its main features. It's diverse, fresh and absolutely delicious! What really makes this property unique are the owners and their Staff. They are warm, welcoming and incredibly knowledgeable. They can and will help with anything you need!

If you choose a single room, you'll likely be in one of the smaller rooms under the roof. The terrace is still very lovely as is the bathroom and the bed itself but the room is quote small and there is no individual airconditioning so you depend on the level of airconditioning of the hotel. Luckily the hotel was super helpful and adapted the airconditioning so that it could cool those single rooms down too.

Excellent facilities, ammenities, breakfast and room. However, one fact has ruined the whole stay: the duplicate payment made in my credit card. This messed up with my whole budget, since the amount was blocked by my bank during the remainder of the trip.

Great hotel, perfect location by the port, very nice and helpful staff - they perfectly organized our yacht trip to see the sunset in Portofino, Tomasso on his yacht was a great and nice guide - thank you - Alex from Poland

Cannot get much better in terms of location.

Rooftop pool has a phone for ordering drinks from the bar, beware it will take an age for drinks to be brought to you.

Las habitaciones estan anticuadas y no se corresponden con un hotel de 4 estrellas. Es demasiado caro para las instalaciones que tiene. El gimnasio es un cuartucho cerrado. Lo que cobran es por la ubicacion y por tener piscina. Lo demás todo muy normalito

We loved our stay at Hotel Laurin. From start to finish everything was first class. The staff were amazing , nothing was a problem , everyone was friendly and welcoming . I would unreservedly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Santa Marguerita.

It was a great location and central to walking everywhere. They had parking nearby. I loved having a pool for afternoon relaxation.

AC funkade dåligt

Fantastisk beliggenhet med flott utsikt. Lydtett rom til tross for mye trafikk. Fint basseng med solstoler på taket. God aircondition på rommet. God frokost med nydelig kaffe. Hjelpsom og hyggelig betjening.

Det var ingenting jeg ikke likte, men om jeg skal trekke fram noe så var det badet. Lite, trangt bad uten noe sted å sette fra seg ting. Toalettsetet var løst og ustabilt i bruk. Vi sa fra om dette uten at det ble ordnet.

Our room was too small

The location was outstanding and the staff were very friendly.

The bedrooms are quite noisy and there are no tea or coffee making facilities in the bedrooms.

Location and staff service was exceptional

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Laurin. The location is simply outstanding—right on the waterfront and within easy walking distance of restaurants, cafés, shops, and the beautiful harbor. It is also the perfect base for visiting Portofino and exploring the Ligurian coast. The staff were welcoming and attentive, the rooms were comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Santa Margherita Ligure.

The only downside was the value for money. While the hotel offers a great experience, I felt the price was quite high for what was provided. Even so, I would recommend it for its exceptional location and overall quality.

Superb location, right on the waterfront with fantastic views from our balcony. Superb breakfast and just a ferry ride to Portofino. The hotel owners were wonderful...recommended a ferry ride to San Fruttuoso, a tiny seaside village, accessible only by sea, where we had a wonderful lunch (again recommended) at the Ristorante La Punetta, overlooking the tiny bay. Overall, a wonderful hotel in a great location.

Perfect location right on the harbor and so close to all shops cafes and restaurants. Included breakfast, pool area and bar service was like your own beach club. Friendly and helpful reception. Very comfortable stay.

Bar closed early and lacked atmosphere

The pool area and view from it is incredible. The location is excellent! Amazing view from the balcony.

Staff are fussy about guests calling in and won’t allow without a passport. A friend of mine booked a single room for half the price I paid per night, room was almost equal in size with a double balcony! Rooms are very small.

The hotel was clean and convenient to restaurants and the ferry. The train station is walkable, but difficult with luggage. There are many steps. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Our breakfast was included and delicious. The beach is not directly across the street. It is down the street next to other beach clubs. There is a fee if you want to use these facilities.

We stayed at hotel with many family members, guests of my son´s wedding. Location is incredible, with a terrace overlooking the ocean, breakfast was delicious and the staff was very nice and went above and beyond all expectations to help and make this special moment memorable.

Localização e café da manhã excelentes. Equipe muito atenciosa e cortês. Quartos da frente, com terraço, tem uma vista linda, valem a pena. Piscina faz diferença na onda de calor que enfrentamos.

בחדרים הפונים לים, רק בקומות 2-3 יש באמת נוף לים ולמרינה. בקומה 1 העיצים מסתירים את הנוף, ויש רעש מהכביש.

Fantastic stay in a central location yet in its own peaceful haven. The staff were kind and went above and beyond. The breakfast was delicious and varied. The place was clean and tidy.

Our room, and seemingly all, had a superb view over the harbour and out to sea with ample space in terrace. Unfortunately, we could not always leave the door open due to some Australians “shouting” at each other next door and someone else’s smoke which drifted into our room. Surely time to ban smoking throughout the hotel INCLUDING balconies! The staff were professional and extremely helpful (and patient). Breakfast was pretty standard. We found the room actually not up to the standard of the price paid in that the bathroom is very small, the furniture was quite cheap and the beds too hard. There was a topper and we found out they do have bigger toppers which would have been useful - (had we asked!!!) Finally, parking is - for me - a 15 minute walk away in a public car park for which you have a pass (not helpful when driving on wrong side of car to reach)!! Very secure but somewhat inconvenient and payable on top of room rate! Do try to restaurant attached to (but not part of) the hotel. We very much enjoyed it.

Loved the proximity to everything; loved my balcony overlooking the harbor; great rooftop pool also overlooking the harbor; reception staff were also wonderful, kind & informative. Overall one of the best stops in my overall 5 weeks of travel. Will definitely stay there again whenever I’m in the Portofino area. Thank you for your fabulous service!!❤️❤️❤️

The rooms were a bit bland and our shower head kept falling, but overall they were lovely.

Schöner Blick vom Balkon auf den Hafen. Sehr nettes Personal, hatte etwas im Zimmer liegen gelassen, wurde sofort per Mail kontaktiert. ;-) Parken ggü. dem Haus möglich, kostet 2,50 € die Stunde, von 0.00h bis 08.00h frei, gut per easy Park App steuerbar. Alternativ werden Garagen angeboten für 30 € pro Tag.

Himla gullig personal. Trevligt och lungt. Lungt häng vid polen och mycket bra mat survis med att beställa mat och drinkar vid polen.

Bara en sak tyckte jag inte om och det var att toa sitsen var av fel storlek och modell för toa stolen och det var det på flera ställen på hotellet och rummet. Pluss att den inte satt fast ordentligt. Annars hade Hotell fått full pott på allt. Det drog ner helheten. Köp nya 😉

The location is nice despite being straight on the road. But what we liked was the attitude of the staff, namely Amanda at the reception, trying all her best to make the service look like a 3 star hotel, not even a 4! Star as they claim

Honestly if this hotel was 300 meters at the back it would not be on any recommended list. Of course it’s location forgives the small rooms, the internet bathroom the old furniture, the run down corridors , the lack of any kind of amenities such as kettle, instant coffee, glass cups. For an average of 400 euro a night, it is a rip off. Breakfast is fair. Nothing fancy. Just expected. Last but not least, paying 900 euro for 2 nights the parking is 30 euro a night on top and it is 300-400 meters away / not 290 as claimed. Location and Amanda made it ok but not again.

11/10. Stayed here 4 nights and enjoyed every minute of it. Amazing breakfasts (many many options, hot meals with meat and eggs etc.), great gym, cool terrace with the pool, friendly staff, very good views from the room and terrace. Also quite convenient location for a walk to Portofino. Super clean rooms as well

The balcony door was not soundproof 100% (mainly because of small gaps the door had, can be easily fixed by changing the rubber around the door). For me it was ok but some people might find it a bit inconvenient during the night
