Villa Royal

L'hôtel est très bien situé au bord de la Vielle-ville de Florence, juste en dehors des Zones de Trafic Limité (ZTL). Il a un parking (payant) dans sa cour d'entrée et une piscine (payant). Les collaborateurs sont professionnels et gentils. Les chambres sont bien équipées.

La chambre que nous avons occupée pourrait être raffraichie.

Petit déjeuné copieux, les enfants étaient content avec tous les donuts de couleurs, et la gentillesse du personnel assez exceptionnel, le personnel nous réservait même notre table le matin en extérieur sur la fin de notre séjour voyant nos petites habitudes. La piscine très sympa et propre. Le salon sublime très Florence, la chambre spectaculaire avec son très haut plafond. On a parcouru Florence à pied au départ de l'hôtel, il faut marcher un peu mais on a pas eu besoin de bus.

Le personnel à l'accueil n'est pas très souriant et accueillant ce qui est assez étonnant pour ce travail. La suite au rez de chaussé est très bruyante on entend les gens arriver et parler fort à l'accueil c'est assez embêtant quand on veut dormir. Ajouté à cela on a eu une alarme incendie à 3H du matin , on a pas dormi de la nuit... Hôtel un peu cher pour tous ces inconvénients…

Au calme, très accessible depuis l’aéroport (30’ en tram, direct) et à pied pour le centre ville Espaces extérieurs très agréables, literie confortable et centre ville à 10’ à pied (5’ de San Marco)

La piscine n’ouvre qu’à 11.00 le matin.

Schönes altes Gebäude mit viel Stil, gut gepflegter und gut nutzbarer Pool, gutes Frühstück, auch mit frischem dunklem Brot was in Italien nicht selbstverständlich ist. 2 Minuten zur Straßenbahn die eine direkte Anbindung in 15 Min zum Flughafen bietet. Altstadt mit Sehenswürdigkeiten 10-15 min zu Fuß. Man ist bereits ausserhalb der "Touri-Nepp-Zone" und findet in der Nachbarschaft gute Restaurants mit fairen Preisen.

Die Bedienung der Klimaanlage war etwas schwierig, aber das ist Jammern auf hohem Niveau. Sonst fällt mir nix zu meckern ein

Location - close enough to walk to all the main attractions but in a quiet setting away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Rooms - spacious, clean and comfortable. Everything we needed to relax and unwind after a busy day of exploring. Facilities - lovely lounge area to relax, chill out and hide from the heat of the day. Idyllic pool area with gardens to relax and enjoy the sunshine after a day of sightseeing. Staff - warm, friendly and attentive. On hand to help with anything we needed.

Had room where aircon was only available via reception - no remote. It was an economy room so should have expected it but very good value for money. Room seemed a bit tired but very quiet at rear looking in to gardens.

We always enjoy our visit at villa royal. We like it's proximity to the city center. Available parking is always a plus. The swimming pool makes all the difference, especially this year with the extremely hot weather that the cities are experiencing.

The staff at reception was unpleasant, cold, not very helpful throughout our stay. Very disappointed. The rest of the staff couldn't be more pleasant and helpful. Managing staff, not so good

The hotel itself feels removed from the busy street set with its own courtyard. Has a beautiful pool great breakfast.

Confusing address - completely different building. The single twin room is truly Spartan. It got the job done and as small as that single bed is, it was quite a comfortable mattress.

La villa est très jolie et sa situation (hors zone ZTL) permet de se rendre à pieds aux principaux monuments de Florence. Un parking est à disposition moyennant 30€ par jour. Ses principaux atouts sont le jardin et la piscine très appréciables après une journée de visite.

La décoration pourrait être revue pour être un peu plus moderne. C’est une question de goût! Le wifi n’est pas très puissant.

Il contesto della villa; la sua posizione rispetto al centro e all'autostrada; la camera delle giuste dimensioni; la pulizia curata nei minimi dettagli; letti comodi; la colazione ricca e di buona qualità; il parcheggio auto disponibile all'interno della struttura; il giardino e la piscina. Personale educato e gentile.

L'ascensore un po' datato con un cattivo odore proveniente dalla tromba/vano, non dalla cabina che era pulita. La passatoia usurata nel corridoio del secondo piano. Il colore bianco delle pareti della camera non fa risaltare molto l'arredo, essendo chiaro a sua volta. Suggerisco un colore sabbia o carta da zucchero abbinati al bianco delle cornici del tetto.

The location was perfect, only a short walk to the centre of Florence. Having a pool was ideal, it was nice to take a dip after a busy day exploring. The hotel is stunning inside, a really old building with great character and charm. The staff are very friendly and attentive, they made our stay very enjoyable.

I can’t say I had any bad points about Hotel Royal.

The location is great, especially if you are coming by car. The hotel is just outside the ZTL, which means you can easily drive there without entering the restricted traffic zone. From the hotel, it is about a 15-minute walk to the Duomo and a 10-minute walk to San Marco. The room is comfortable. The bathroom we had was very spacious and bright, especially compared with the size of the room. The breakfast is very good, and the staff are welcoming and attentive.

However, the hotel parking is quite expensive (€30–40 per day). It is even more expensive than parking in central Rome. The reception experience was rather disappointing. When we first arrived, the man at reception did not even look at us and there was certainly no warm welcome. The lady at reception the following day was much friendlier. Our room was next to the stairs, so it could be quite noisy when people, especially children, were going up and down.

Villa Royal is a quaint welcoming hotel with everything we needed to relax after long days sightseeing and touring Florence and surrounding Tuscan areas. Our room was exceptionally clean and air conditioned. One slight issue for us was the shower room being slippery (we should have asked for a bath mat to assure us!). Breakfast had a great selection and was taken in a lovely breakfast room overlooking the gardens. You can eat in the garden if you like however we chose not to. Lots of European visitors had driven there and there is ample parking. The pool area is an added bonus although we only managed a couple of hours there due to our packed itinerary. The staff were all customer facing and helpful.

El personal fue super amable y atento, tanto el de recepción como el personal del desayuno. La habitación comodísima y amplia y la zona de jardin y piscina es una maravilla, un lujo muy cerquita del centro histórico. El desayuno super variado, con productos locales y frescos, delicioso.

El aire acondicionado de la habitación era un pelin ruidoso, pero es por decir uan crítica constructiva, todo lo demás perfecto.

Breakfast was excellent! The option to sit in the garden was lovely (except at 95 degrees!). Breakfast staff was lovely. Room is gorgeous (I had the superior double with garden view and a little balcony). Location is a little removed from the center and there's not much around the hotel. However, a small Carrefours market is just around the corner and a fantastic restaurant, Pizzeria Nasone, also just around the corner - try the beefsteak with peppercorn sauce and the mussel soup. The pool was great.

Front desk staff was helpful but not particularly warm. The steps into the pool could use some sort of a railing. I'm 70 years old with bad knees and the top step out of the pool is not a regulation 8" and a little scary. Also more consistent bar service and pool bar service would be helpful.

La zona de la piscina estaba descuidada igual qie el jardín, la zona interior de desayuno muy pequeña. Entiendo qie Cuesta aparcar en la zona però 30€ adicionales al dia, teniendo en cuenta, la que Cuesta el hotel me parece abusivp.

Breakfast was a fantastic option/selection, the staff were very accommodating, polite, attentive and helpful. The location is ideal if you are visiting Florence and don't want to drive any further, it is within easy walk of the main attractions and restaurants.

I found the parking expensive at 40 euros a night for a larger vehicle, but given its location, it's no surprise. The hotel is located JUST outside of the LTZ zone, so you may enter the zone trying to find the hotel from other directions, something to be aware of, so you don't get a fine later when you get home from your trip. The hotel has the ability to notify the authorities of your registration in advance, so you shouldn't be fined if providing you don't drive around a lot.

Die Villa mit ihrem Garten ist super gelegen, alles ist fußläufig zu erreichen. Sehr gutes Frühstück und das Auto konnte man im Hof sicher parken.

Very friendly staff. Our family room was excellent, nice and spacious with a small kitchenette also. The location was very convenient and in walking distance to the train station and main plaza & attractions. Pool was wonderful and much appreciated at the end of the day in the Florence heat!

Stort pluss at hotellet har et basseng. Vi var der midt i en hetebølge og bassenget var uvurderlig. Personalet som jobbet ved kjøkkenet og bassenget var vennlige og hyggelige.

Personalet i resepsjonen fremstod uinteressert og lite vennlige. Hotellet er utdatert og har behov for en oppgradering. Bassengområdet er slitent.

Rigtig god beliggenhed med kun 10 min gang til midtbyen. Haven og poolen var helt perfekt. Personalet var rigtig søde og hjælpsomme. Vi boede i annekset, som var lidt småt og slidt. Der var ikke rigtig varmt vand til at bade i. Annekset ligger dog rigtig godt ift. poolen og haven, og placeringen gjorde at der var stille og privat.

The pool facilities were excellent. Availability of staff for refreshments was great.. and everyone was very helpful with suggestions for restaurants etc. And how brilliant to be able to park so close to the city.

Lovely but needs updating

Bâtiment ancien plein de charme. Le jardin est un vrai havre de paix après l'enfer du sur tourisme dans les rues de Florence. La piscine quoi qu’un peu trop chaude est tres agréable. Prêt de serviettes gratuit. Chambre tres spacieuse donnant sur le jardin, très bien climatisée (il faisait 39°), très propre malgré une sdb vieillotte à rénover. Grand frigo et plateau de courtoisie. Calme absolu. Personnel disponible et efficace. Parking tres pratique devant l'hôtel, 30 euros par jour mais possibilité de laisser la voiture quelques heures le jour du départ. C’est sûr : si je reviens à Florence, c’est ici que je réserverai à nouveau.

Un détail : faible qualité des serviettes de toilette.

Le foto sul sito della struttura e sul sito di Booking non si avvicinano neanche a quello che trovate. Al momento del check inn ci hanno provato cambiare la ns.camera con il visto giardino per una camera per i disabili senza nessun vista. Il costo di parcheggio... Posso capire il costo 30€ per un garage , ma non per un posto in cortile... La piscina di qualità scarsa anche come il servizio attorno piscina.

Great facilities and location.

I had an issue with a male cleaner hitting on me during my stay. It became harassment and it made me feel so uncomfortable especially as he had access to my room. Unfortunately when I requested a new cleaner in my room the staff didn’t want to know more about what was happening… very disappointed and it has greatly impacted my experience of this hotel. I do not recommend for female solo travellers.

Beautiful property. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Swimming pool was nice and had a shallow end for small children. The breakfast was delicious with many options. Staff was wonderful and attentive. Martina was terrific!

Zona esterna eccellente, un giardino con piscina, tavoli esterni e poltrone; area molto comoda e rilassante. Ragazza che mi ha accolto alla reception gentile, professionale e accogliente. Tutto sommato non lontano dal centro, posizione ok.

La camera sin troppo piccola, ma il vero problema è l'arredo vetusto, bagno minuscolo e da sistemare, soffione doccia guasto sciacquone mal funzionante, generale senso di trascuratezza della camera, andrebbe resa meno triste, assolutamente da ristrutturare, peccato.

This hotel is fabulous. Full of charm, it's simply gorgeous Our room was really spacious, high ceilings, great aircon. The staff are warm, friendly and very helpful. Such a bonus to have a garden with lots of shaded areas and a swimming pool with plenty of sun loungers. Lots of choice at breakfast. If you are planning on a short stay in Florence this hotel ticks every box. It's really well located, walking distance to all the sight seeing attractions and minutes from the train station.

Apartment we stayed in was large, airconditioned and in good clean condition. We really enjoyed our stay. Parking was easy and secure. Staff were helpful. Breakfast was good, but you need to get there early, not replenished often enough to keep up with guests.

The area directly in front of the hotel gates are quite dirty, visible dog fouling and urine. A short wash with bleach daily would improve considerably
