The room details are very good, blending classic and modern styles.

The breakfast was a little on the simple side, but the breakfast room was charming, and the atmosphere was excellent.

Location is fabulous, adjacent to central square yet on a quiet street; and convenient to historic features of interest, shopping, restaurants, services. Room was well appointed and bed very comfortable. AC functioned well and easy to adjust. Sumptuous breakfast buffet, so many choices, fresh and well presented. Brewed coffee available, as well as "to order" Italian traditional offerings. Reception friendly and oriented to helping make our visit memorable, including assisting with reservations.

Delightful hotel right next to the Duomo in the centre of Bologne. Despite this central location it was in a very quiet street away from the main square alongside the cathedral. It was a wonderful historic hotel, beautifully decorated to a very high standard. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Delicious and every possible option for breakfast.

Das Zimmer war sehr schön, das Bett super bequem. Es war ästhetisch und gemütlich, im Sommer klimatisiert. Das Frühstück war auch sehr ausgewogen, gutes Angebot. Schöne Räumlichkeiten.

Da gibt es nichts wirklich. Die Ecke in der das Hotel ist ist sehr ruhig und es liegt zentral. Das ist super, ich habe nichts negatives.

Art Hotel Commercianti is a charming historic hotel in the heart of Bologna’s Old Town, right next to the Basilica di San Petronio. The hotel has a unique character, and our room was spacious had an old sundial & clocks displayed on the walls, and there was a also collection of time-related objects in the bathroom. The room also had a balcony. The breakfast was good, and the staff were warm, friendly, and very hospitable. They also went the extra mile for my wife’s birthday by arranging a small cake for her, which was a lovely and thoughtful surprise. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and loved the hotel’s historic character, unique décor, central location, and excellent hospitality.

The only downside was an unpleasant smell in the room. We couldn’t identify where it was coming from, and although it wasn’t overwhelming, it was noticeable and particularly apparent whenever we first entered the room.

They provided excellent service, friendliness, cleanliness. Location 1/2 block to piazza was great. Breakfast buffet was lavish.

It was so lovely! We also got upgraded to a nicer room (I think the duchess suite?) which had a tub which was awesome and plenty of space. The decor was great!! We honestly don’t usually stay in hotels that are this nice, but this one was absolutely wonderful to us. I was skeptical about the breakfast when we booked (we are in a new city, shouldn’t we eat breakfast at a place in the city?) but it was SO GOOD. Lots of things to choose from and felt very luxurious, and a staff member serving coffee. Also, it’s in a truly historic building which was so cool. We took a taxi to the location from the train station, but walked back to the train station when we left. Use the smooth sidewalks under the porticos — Google Maps for some reason doesn’t suggest you walk in a straight shot from the hotel to the station, but you can.

Pricey but probably priced appropriately!!

Location imbattibile, in pieno centro a Bologna. Camera pulita e luminosa. Letto comodo. Buona anche la colazione, un piccolo appunto per devo farlo, ho ordinato una spremuta e al momento del check out scopro che non era inclusa. Di solito è norma avvisare al momento dell’ordine. E poi una spremuta potrebbe pure essere inclusa…

Arrivarci in auto può sembrare un po complicato se si legge il messaggio che la struttura ti invia, lunghissimo. Poi li chiamo e con l’indirizzo di una via limitrofa da impostare sul avvitatore e successivamente 3 minuti di spiegazioni al telefono si arriva facilmente.

Die eleganten und geräumigen Zimmer mit hohem Wohlfühl-Faktor. Die zentrale und doch ruhige Lage im Herzen von Bologna (in einer Seitengasse neben der Basilica di San Petronio). Das zuvorkommende Personal. Das hervorragende Frühstück mit einer zusätzlichen großen Auswahl an köstlichen Dolci. Eine echte Empfehlung!

Art Hotel Commercianti is an absolute gem. Its location right in the historic center of the city is unbeatable, putting everything within walking distance. We loved our stay: the rooms are fantastic, the breakfast is truly flawless, and the fact that they are genuinely pet-friendly made our trip complete. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Driving there can be quite a puzzle due to the historic streets. Not the hotel's fault at all, just something to keep in mind, but once you arrive, it is worth every bit of the effort!

Hotel w samym centrum Bolonii, główna część, recepcja i restauracja bezpośrednio sąsiaduje z bazyliką. Mieliśmy duży, rodzinny apartament rodzinny, położony w budynku sąsiadującym. Obfity wybór zarówno słodkich jak i słonych dań na śniadaniu. Polecam!

You need to be really careful in the bathroom getting in and out of the shower and even using it. Someone seemed to want to recreate a Roman bath environment in 8 square feet. 😅 Lots of tile, steps, walls, nothing to hold on to. PSA for those over 50!

I stayed in a luxury apartment away from the main hotel which was luxury and very beautiful but took me a while to sort out getting in and out of the apartment with double doors and light switches on the landings

Everything - the location, the quirkiness of the rooms, the breakfast and the staff. And the beds were super comfy.

This hotel was one of the highlights of our trip to Bologna. The staff is EXCEPTIONAL, rooms are charming, spacious and clean. The breakfast buffet will impress you, as well the impeccable service at both breakfast and in the lobby happy hour. The location can't be beat for being right in the heart of the city. Art work, style, class---we loved it, from our 80 year old parents to our teen age daughter---everyone felt comfortable and excited to be part of our visit!

We had an apartment which was beautifully decorated and spacious opening onto a pedestrian shopping area with good restaurants.

Breakfast was wonderful. Many, many, many options, but nothing extra or personalised. So many cakes and pastries, but most specifically gluten free options were very processed, (although the basket was large). Obviously the fresh vegetables etc were not. The roast vegetables were wonderful. Location was very central, but a very long walk from the station in the heat. Bath and bathroom were great.

The room was austere. Like I was a nun. Lights were bright in the room.

The location was perfect right next to piazza. Hotel was truly a work of art and views of church from terrace were stunning. Comfortable beds, nice bathroom and an incredible breakfast with everything you could want.

Rooms were very well organized, just a bit small. Front desk employees could be a little more personable.

Beautiful hotel centrally located nearby the Basilica di San Petronio in the heart of the old city. We had to carefully follow elaborate but accurate driving directions to navigate through the pedestrian zone. We utilized the hotel valet parking (at 33 euros per night). Room was clean, modern and comfortable. Not too large but well designed and decorated. Breakfast buffet was excellent. It couldn't have been at a better location, with numerous restaurants and historical sites a short walking distance away. Air conditioning was excellent, even with the heatwave in progress. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The location was amazing

Our room 219 was very small for the money we paid. On the fire plan on the wall it even shows it being a single room. It now has a double bed in it. Only 2 foot space at the bottom of the bed to get round. The bathroom was that small they have cut a small section out of the door so it can open .properly into the bathroom. We were on floor 2 above us was on floor 3 there was a lot of drilling and banging very loud, we did speak to reception and they said renovation work was being carried out and would ring and ask them to stop. .

Location is perfect. And breakfast is nice. Customer service is great. Very attentive to your needs and they took care of our request immediately.

The place was clean but our first room had a smell which was very unpleasant but they changed us to another room immediately, and that room was great, had no smell. This maybe because the whole old town is old, and probably has some issues with smell regardless of how much they try to clean it.
