Super location a couple of minutes walk from everything - station, stadiun, restaurants, shops. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean comfortable room, which was a good size and huge bathroom.

Lights in room very bright. In night could do with dimmer light. No lift. If you are fit and healthly it is not an issue. Staff were so lovely, helping with bag.

Great hotel location. The lady at the reception was very kind, friendly, and helpful. The hotel was clean and nice, with a comfortable bed and, most importantly, a peaceful and quiet atmosphere.

Quiet room at rear of hotel. Pleasant, friendly, helpful staff. Room was comfortable, large bathroom and good shower. Near to city centre shops, amenities,etc. Location suited us as we used public transport each day to visit friends and family

Lo único bueno : la ducha el agua salía bien y el baño era amplio. La ubicación es céntrica pero nuestra habitación daba al frente de la calle principal y desde las 6 am se escuchan alarmas de unos pilotes que suben y bajan . IMPOSIBLE DORMIR

Para empezar la cama es tan tan tan finito el colchón que tú espalda toca las maderas de la cama. JAMÁS dormí en una cama tan incómoda ni en hostels vi camas tan percudidas. Por otro lado estaban arreglando la fachada de afuera y teníamos a PERSONAS COLGADAS de nuestra ventana sin tener intimidad y no poder abrir las ventanas para que entre luz. Cabe destacar que no nos avisaron de esto.

La localisation est parfaite, la réceptionniste Anne-Marie était d’une gentillesse incroyable, la chambre était bien équipée (quoi qu’un peu encombrée), grande salle de bain et lit confortable.

Hôtel assez vieillissant donc il ne faut pas s’attendre à quelque chose de moderne. Il semble quand même bien entretenu, à part les moquettes qui devraient être remplacées

The location is excellent. It is right in the centre of Cardiff, very convenient for shopping and entertainment attractions

The hotel is very up front about the fact that there are no lifts in the property. This can be a real challenge for anyone who is older, ill or unfit.

Struttura in pieno centro a Cardiff. Vicinissima all’Ultilita Arena. Vicino c’è un McDonald e un supermarket aperto 24 su 24. Personale molto cordiale e gentile.

The location was great. Fortunately they gave us a quiet room as the town was bouncing on the weekend. The receptionist was fantastic and very helpful.

The stairs were very steep. The plumbing was intermittent. It would have been nice to have a shelf in the bathroom. We were grateful,for the security bars in the shower as it was a steep climb. We had difficulty getting hot water so far up on the fourth floor sometimes.

Very welcoming and helpful staff. Fantastic location a short walk from the bus and train stations and Cardiff Castle.

Wasn’t anything I didn’t like but as there is no lift you have to get used to climbing the stairs…

Les clients savent que ce n'est pas un 5 étoiles mais cela pourrait être plus propre. Par exemple, juste bien laver l'escalier que tout le monde emprunte plusieurs fois par jour ne serait pas un luxe. Également, le tapis de l'escalier devrait être changé. Il est extrêmement sale.

The lady on reception was wonderful. The property is in a prime location. Although only a 2 star hotel, there was tea and coffee making facilities etc. The communication from the hotel prior to staying, was excellent.

The rooms just need a little modernising/ TLC. There is no car park but that is to be expected due to the great location and access to a local car park is limited when an event is on at the stadium due to road closures.

The bedding and towels were spotless

The stairs. I was a little nervous as I have a bad knee but they were ok.

The location is very good, really right in the center, everything is nearby and there's parking very close by. A special mention was a lady who attended to us while we were staying at the accommodation. She was super friendly and polite! Unfortunately, I don't remember her name, but she was a blonde woman.

Unfortunately, the cleanliness left much to be desired; we had to return a day early because the room smelled strongly of mold and was uncomfortable. The bathroom wasn't very clean and the bed wasn't very comfortable; we didn't get a good night's sleep.

Smack dab in the middle of everything plus the front desk staff were all amazing.

Room smelled like cigarettes, there’s definitely street noise but I sleep with earplugs, low water pressure in shower, no conditioner in the room.

We were moved to another ‘the Lodge’ because of electric problems . It was disgusting! grubby broken carpets. Curtains that didn’t fit . Stair way dusty nightshade covered in fluff.

Excelente localização no centro de Cardiff a poucos passos da Estação Central de Trem que foi o meio de transporte que usei para continuar minha viagem, restaurantes e pontos turísticos. Equipe muito atenciosa, limpeza excelente, ótimas instalações no quarto e banheiro, recomendo.

Nada a destacar, talvez um elevador pois a construção é alta com escadaria ingreme, não que atrapalhe mas ajudaria se tivesse pois com malas maiores exige um esforço maior para os andares superiores.

Excellent location - in the heart of everything - restaurants, coffee shops, bus and train stations - all a few steps away. Lady at reception was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Room clean and comfortable.

Nothing to add here - I liked everything.

Infested with bedbugs in room 302, woke up with about 40 bites at 5 am and immediately left. Bed and wall behind bed was crawling in them. Loud drunken karaoke noise coming from downstairs till gone 2am. The place is very tired and dated and covered in scaffolding, but that’s an irrelevance given the bedbugs. Worst nights sleep of my life.

Good location, next to the train and next to everything needed. Staff was absolutely lovely could not fault the staff. The main reception area is lovely and welcoming.

Firstly i didn't like the fact had to carry suitcases up a really steep set of steps. The room didn't feel clean to me As soon as I stepped in the room it had an awful strong smell that made me feel a bit sick so i proceeded to spray perfume and then try to open the window to let some air in, the window wouldn't stay open and was covered in black mould around the window frame. The view was absolutely awful of ladders and a roof so definitely not a room with a view. The staff really were lovely but i wouldn't go back. An honest review unfortunately.

Location is brilliant, they have the facilities you need, basic but great value for money, especially being in central Cardiff. I always come here for a night’s stay. We were staying during a heat wave so the fan came in handy

The rooms are a bit old fashioned and could do with updating but for the price you pay I am in no way bothered by it. Excellent value for money

Location has lots of drug addicts near it, hotel was a construction site out front, building work on the road early morning, drunks at all hours of the night, bed was so uncomfortable, the curtains did not close it hung off the wall, the bath looked like it hadn't been cleaned, there was red and white tap over the wall, wall sockets did not look secure, the dust was clumping down the walls. It is the worst place I have ever stayed in and I went home early just to escape.

The staff were very helpful and gave us great advise on how to get around. The location was superb.

The accommodation was very dated. But comfortable enough for a couple of nights. Toilet roll holder was not user friendly.

We wanted a basic property close to the castle and station. It was perfect. Beds were comfortable-shower good and hot.

The location was excellent right in the centre and easy to walk everywhere. We went to a concert in the Castle and walked to the docks the next day. We will be back for sure

Hotel reception staff are lovely, very helpful and friendly. Location is great for Cardiff Castle (15 mins walk) and Railway Station (10 mins walk) On the main street with cafe's and eating places/ pubs very close. Comfortable beds and good shower. Exceptionally clean.

You cannot beat this location! 5 min walk to Cardiff Castle, 5 min walk to the bus terminal. Surrounded by bars and restaurants. Very friendly lady at reception. Although it was very hot outside, the room stayed cool enough to enjoy a good nights sleep.

Well I didn't have breakfast there so I can't tell ye that, and the location was it you asked? Obviously any fool can see from a chart of the town that it be most excellently located in the heart of the town on Saint Mary's Street, what a silly question to ask me- twice I might add!

Well the bath tap took a little getting used to as it had two of those twisty things- knobs? instead of a combined hot/cold. The primary thing which made the stay less than ideal was a result of the convenient location- namely the noise from the venues below which even on weeknights carried on well into the night, but one must expect these things in the heart of a large national capital, must not one? Ah yes- they had a policy that one must hand over one's keys to the reception every instance one desired to venture without- which is the first such instance one has encountered such a phenomenon, and made me less likely to bother venturing without of an eve. Aye, but aside from that it was a normal hotel with the usual standards as regards most aspects.

Tutto la struttura è molto squallido. Molto sporco e vecchio. I letti fatti in un maniera con blocchi solidi sotto e un materasso messo sopra. Ha bisogno di un upgrade in ogni dove.

De locatie was super, midden in het centrum. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk.

Het hotel is erg verouderd. Onze kamer rook heel muf, en het leek alsof er lekkagevlekken waren weggewerkt door er overheen te behangen. Verder was het bed écht aan vervanging toe, de springveren staken in je rug.

I highly recommend the family owned Sandringham Hotel. The managers are staff are very welcoming and helpful. The service was top class. My room was clean and tidy with all necessary facilities provided. My bed was very comfortable ensuring an excellent nights sleep. The hotel is centrally located for bars, restaurants and entertainment. I’m looking forward to next visit

Everything was really great!

The hotel was spotless, comfortable and location is second to none right in the centre perfect for nights out or concerts at the castle, the staff are so helpful and friendly couldn't do enough for us thank you!
