The staff were really friendly and efficient. The rooms and shared spaces were clean and comfortable. Loved the fact it was so close to train and bus stations and city centre shops.

I would have liked more vegan options for breakfast. Grilled tomatoes and mushrooms would have been lovely.

The location is excellent, right next to the cardiff central train station and within 3 minutes walking distance from the city center. The reception staff were friendly.

The room was very small. The door of the washroom was wobbly and did not shut properly. The shower spray stand was loose and fell almost over my head.

Myself and my young Son only stayed here for one night as a rest from travelling and to be honest weren't expecting it to be as good as it was. But it was great. The receptionists were brilliant and allowed us to access our room hours before we were due to arrive. It is virtually next door to the train station which has some very useful shops, including M&S.

All the staff that I encountered were helpful. The room location was ideal for me. The hotel location was also ideal for what I needed.

The a/c in my room was broken but the gentleman at the front desk was able to resolve the issue perfectly for me.

The staff were really helpful and friendly. The room was clean and, although basic, had everything we needed. There was always a member of staff downstairs to answer queries or serve drinks. The location, for us, couldn't have been better, a minute from the railway station and bus station, and just five minutes to the centre of town. From our room we had a great view of the trains coming and going from the station. We worried it would be noisy, but it was completely silent, so a good night's sleep was had by both of us.

There didn't appear to be a working extractor fan in the bathroom and when we arrived there was a smell in the bathroom. Either we got used to the smell and didn't notice it after a while or it went away.

The location.

We were given a room in the basement, with no windows that could be opened for fresh air. The air conditioning was either not working or could not be manually controlled, which made the room uncomfortable. The room was also located next to some kind of mechanical equipment, possibly the building’s air-conditioning or generator system, and there was a constant engine-like noise throughout our stay. We also noticed black marks/stains on the pillows, although we could not tell what had caused them. Overall, it wasn’t a particularly pleasant or comfortable stay, and I would not choose to stay here again if I return to Cardiff.

Clean rooms, comfortable beds, convenient location for the train station, helpful and professional staff who tried their best to deal with problems.

Poorly maintained facilities - broken air conditioning unit in a room with sealed windows and no other source of fresh air, broken bed lamp which could not be switched off so remained on while trying to sleep. Expected better for the price.

I booked the hotel to attend a conference in Cardiff University, and had a great experience. The staff are adorable, very helpful, the room is clean even tho it is very small but convenient and comfortable. The only problem is that it was quite warm and the air conditioning wasn’t working properly. The breakfast is alright, I would have liked to have more options for vegetarians/vegans. The location is perfect, 2 min from train/bus stations and right in the city centre.

The room i had this time was in lower ground floor , the view from room was very unappealing. Maybe the window needs some form of coverage (frosting maybe) to obscure the horrible view of the road and rubbish. I kept curtains closed .

Overall, a very pleasant stay with an unbeatable location and friendly, helpful staff. The room was a little smaller than we expected. While it is described as “efficient”, it felt more suited to one person, as with two people there wasn't much space to open and keep two suitcases comfortably. Still, it offered good value for money, and I would happily stay here again, just opting for a larger room next time!

L'hotel non è a norma! Manca l'ossigeno! Abbiamo prenotato due camere singole. Quando siamo arrivati i condizionatori non funzionavano e ci hanno subito dato altre due camere. Problema: le (piccole) finestre dell'hotel sono bloccate. In questi casi la legge prevede che ci sia un sistema di ricambio dell'aria, invece NON C'È. Ho pensato che il sistema fosse ben nascosto invece manca proprio. Il condizionatore è un altra cosa. In ogni bagno c'è una ventola aspirante, ma le ventole sono fuori uso. L'ossigeno non può entrare, gli odori e il vapore non possono uscire. Ho chiesto all'uomo della reception di mettere in funzione la ventola, ha promesso di intervenire ma poi, come mi aspettavo, non lo ha fatto. Spesso, per non soffocare, aprivo la porta della camera ma neanche nei corridoi circola aria fresca. È molto grave che a un hotel senza i requisiti minimi sia stato concesso di aprire. La ASL locale non fa dei controlli? Ho dormito in tanti hotel in tutto il mondo ma una cosa così non mi era mai capitata. Stanza minuscola, polvere e capelli sul pavimento. Invece bagno e lenzuola erano puliti. 13,50 sterline per la colazione sono troppe. Colazione scarsa in varietà e qualità. Tutto è confezionato in mini dosi con enorme spreco di carta e di plastica. Evidentemente fuori dall'UE le regole sono meno severe.

Location is amazing, right outside the station but also quiet. Everything needed was in room. Really great value for money and if going a concert or event at the Principality Stadium, it's 7 mins walk away and perfect for shopping too!

TV reception was very hit and miss on free view. We had a room with broken air con and were supplied with fans but would have been good to know this before visiting (although didn't spoil the trip!)

Voor onze laatste overnachting in Wales, net als bij aankomst, een fijne overnachting in Cardiff. Bewust vantevoren dit hotel gekozen, rwee keer. Ideaal naast het station en binnen een paar seconden op loopafstand van het centrum. Prettig ontvangst bij de receptie.

Location, location, location: The hotel is on the approach to Cardiff Central rail station and the bus station too, which means it is also close to the city centre. There are several food outlets nearby and - for those who like a cheap beer or meal - The Great Western pub (a Wetherspoons) is right across the road. The staff were friendly, especially in the breakfast room, the bed was comfortable, the A/C worked well, the WiFi was ok and the hotel was fairly quiet. I find Sheraton branding a bit confusing but for reference this is a budget hotel- probably similar to a Holiday Inn Express or a better quality Premier Inn. Which is why the price is very good value for the location.

My room was an “efficient” double…and it was certainly “efficient” with space. The small desk was so close to the bottom of the bed, with the room on an angle, that it was hard to squeeze behind it for a 6 foot tall man. The bathroom had what you need but there was literally nowhere to put a towel whilst you are washing. The shower pressure wasn’t great either.

The window is not designed to be open, so the room was a little stuffy. The AC stops working after a few sec (maybe broken?) but the room had a fan, and it wasn’t hot days. So not a big problem for me.

This is a smart hotel within 2 minutes walk of Cardiff Central station, which is why I selected it in the first instance. My previous visit was in the days when it was called Sleeperz, and I had a very good experience. The staff were pleasant and helpful, and the manager Andrew dealt with my concerns in a very professional and friendly manner.

When I entered my room, there was a fan on the desk which surprised me as the room had air conditioning. It turned out that the air conditioning was malfunctioning, a problem which they must have known about prior to my visit. I was also disappointed with the breakfast offering. Apparently they are only allowed to have 2 proteins (so sausages and bacon) and limits on other items. So there were only scrambled eggs, no mushrooms, and no tomatoes. These limits are set by the parent company, and not by the hotel management themselves. The Continental offerings were just as poor. The quality of the food supplied was, however, very good.

I would normally expect the price of the room to increase dramatically towards the end of the week, but I was pleasantly surprised that my one night on a Thursday was relatively cheap at £58. The hotel is very well positioned close to Cardiff centre and very close to Cardiff Central train station and the bus station. On arrival I found the bathroom sliding door had come off its bottom runner, also the room door was not locking when I left the room. I mentioned these things to the reception and they informed me that they would be rectified immediately. I went for a short stroll and meal in town and when I returned the bathroom door was repaired. I was not sure if the room door lock was still not working properly so I used the safety catch overnight. I checked out early at about 0900hrs and I expressed my gratitude for the bathroom door being repaired but the room door was still not locking when I left the room, ie I could open the door without using the key card. This being a security issue and an inconvenience I was offered breakfast free of charge which I accepted. Huge TV in the room which swivelled towards the bed so lying in bed watching a film in the darkness was like being in a cinema. I watched "Heat".

More beggars in Cardiff than before. A very bright street lamp outside the room window overlooking the street and not even the thick curtain could blot out the light completely as I couldn't pull it closed enough, although this did not disturb my sleep.

Lack of communication from the staff and the handling of an an incident during my stay. I have tried to contact the hotel and cannot get any response at all, despite chasing and contacting Booking.com as well.

Room was well presented and spotlessly clean. It was the right fit for the purpose of our visit, and within 10 mins walking distance of the Castle for the gig we attended. Within 200 yards of the train station, very quiet sound wise overnight. Slept very well. The were engaging, customer oriented, polite. Will definatley use their services again.

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is extremely convenient, especially for travelers arriving by train, as the train station is just a short walk away. It is also close to the city center, making it easy to explore the main attractions, restaurants, cafés, and shops on foot. The convenient location made getting around the city very easy and saved us a lot of time. Overall, it’s a great choice for anyone looking for a comfortable hotel with excellent access to both the train station and the city center.

The main negatives were a few issues with the room facilities. The safe in the room didn’t work, which was inconvenient as we couldn’t securely store our valuables. Also, the USB charging ports by the bed were not working, so we had to use other power outlets to charge our devices. These are relatively small issues, but they would be worth fixing to make the stay more comfortable and convenient.

- wurden in der Nacht um 23:20 Uhr vom Hotel "evakuiert" wegen eines Wasserlecks (Wasserprobleme waren aber schon am Tag bekannt, zuerst ging der Feueralarm los und dann kam ein MA zur Zimmertür das man sofort raus muss) - Wurde als Notfall behandelt warum auch immer - ein neues Hotel sei ca 400 meter entfernt bereit gewesen, diese wussten auch Bescheid über uns das wir kamen. - nächsten Tag um 9 Uhr gefragt beim neuen Hotel ob man wieder retour kann und der Wasserschaden behoben ist. Dort hieß es ja. Bei Rückkehr ins Hotel lief kein Wasser somit kein Händewaschen möglich oder WC Gang. Schlechte Kommunikation, Mitarbeiter meinten nur wir erfahren dann wenn es wieder geht. Sie können nicht sagen wie lange es noch dauert (Bei Rückkehr nach dem Sightseeing um 19 Uhr ging das Wasser wieder)
