Magnifique hôtel, super emplacement dans un très beau quartier et à proximité immédiate de la plage et du vieux crntre, très agréable terrasse

I booked this hotel for one main reason: to SLEEP. Isn’t that usually the point of staying in a hotel? Apparently, not here. 😄 Let’s start with the positive: the location is fantastic. Victor Hugo is a beautiful, tree-lined street, close to the beach and shopping. BUT… the windows have ZERO sound insulation. Open or closed, it makes absolutely no difference. You hear EVERYTHING: people talking, delivery guys, motorcycles, cars, and, of course, the garbage collection. It’s like having the Champs-Élysées directly inside your bedroom. You don’t need to go outside — the street comes to you. And yes, you get a front-row seat to every conversation happening outside. Needless to say, I didn’t sleep AT ALL. The noise was unbearable. Then comes the air conditioning. Yes, there is one. But apparently 22°C is the only temperature the hotel believes in. Try to change it and it simply stops working. With 35°C outside, your options are simple: turn it on and freeze, or turn it off and melt. Enjoy! 😄 The bathroom deserves its own chapter. No shower doors, just a curtain. After every shower, welcome to your private Swan Lake. And, of course, there is NO ventilation in the bathroom. Because apparently, fresh air is another luxury. The toilet is ridiculously high, so your feet don’t properly touch the floor. Very relaxing. And no electrical outlet near the mirror, so you can’t use the hair dryer while looking in the mirror. Wooooow! Quel service! No coffee machine either — just two tea bags. At that point, I started wondering if I had accidentally booked a hotel in England. The next morning, after my wonderful sleepless night, I asked to change rooms. I was told there were no rooms available and that the administrator would speak to the manager. Later, she acted as if our morning conversation had never happened. I absolutely LOVE when people do that. 😄 Then I was told the room could only be changed at 11:00 — and, of course, by then it was too late. What a coincidence!

And here comes the best part: when I checked in, I specifically asked for a QUIET room. “Okay,” the administrator said. So what did we get? A room with windows facing a restaurant. A quiet room, apparently. Very creative interpretation of the word “quiet.” This was not my first stay in Nice, but it was definitely my first experience with such poor service and such uncomfortable conditions. So, if you’re looking for a place to SLEEP during your vacation, think twice. But if your dream is to spend the night listening to motorcycles, cars, conversations, deliveries and garbage collection from the comfort of your bed — congratulations! You’ve found your perfect hotel. 😄

The excellent location of the hotel. Definitely the architecture was a plus and the café downstairs. The staff was very professional and everything went very smoothly.

Maybe the location of the bathroom door. If it wasn't totally closed you couldn't open the room door. They bumped on each other.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a wonderful stay! The location was absolutely perfect and made it so easy to get around and enjoy everything nearby. The hotel was very clean and comfortable, but what really stood out was the staff. Everyone was wonderful, amazing, and so helpful throughout my stay. They made me feel very welcome. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel!

Posizione strategica in zona centrale ma tranquilla, servita da mezzi pubblici. Parcheggi a pagamento nelle immediate vicinanze. Camera pulita, biancheria perfetta, letto comodo. Ottimi infissi, non si percepiva minimamente il rumore della strada. Unica nota negativa, l’aria condizionata molto rumorosa, tanto da doverla spegnere per riuscire a dormire. Colazione ottima, personale professionale e attento.

Great location, the best breakfast/brunch spot in the city, friendly service and wonderful views. The hotel is new and clean, everything works. Definitely return!

Send my regards to the colorblind desiger who got to redesign a beautiful Belle Epoque hotel on Victor Hugo and chose to do it in Millennial gray, the color of every cheap hostel and Airbnb in the 2010s. I can't believe he got paid for this job.

L’hotel in posizione centrale. Molto gradevole le parti comuni, edificio storico. Personale molto gentile e accogliente.

A szállás elhelyezkedése, közel volt a villamos megálló és a vasút állomás is.

Nem volt szúnyogháló és sok volt a szúnyog, csak francia erkély van és nehéz volt megoldani a strand ruhák kiteregetését. A reggeli nagyon unalmas volt, mindennap ugyanaz és semmi zöldség. A vízpart az nagyon kavicsos, és be és kimenetel a vízből nagyon nehéz, élvezhetetlen ott a fürdés.

Вдале та зручне розташування, до пляжу хвилин 5-7 вільною ходою, Старе місто, Замкова гора хвилин 15-20, поруч вокзал, до Cemez 3.5 км. Доволі чисто. Сніданок так собі, але як для Франції, то дуже добре. Я памʼятаю сніданки в іншому готелі, які складались з багету, круасанів, масла та джему, чаю та кави. Прибирання вчасно. Кондиціонер працював справно.

Дивні часи роботи кафе, до 20.00. Але через дорогу є заклад, який працює до 23.00, якщо не пізніше. Це потрібно врахувати при заїзді після 20.00. Кафе поруч також працюють не пізніше 23.00. Повільний та маленький ліфт. Відсутність можливості просушити купальник та рушники. Рушники готелю потрібно міняти кожен день, при наявності сушилки ми з чоловіком би, наприклад, могли користуватись рушниками декілька днів, без зміни. Можна, звичайно, все розвісити на балконі, але не хотілось псувати вигляд фасаду своїми трусиками в качечках))

Très belle chambre spacieuse avec une belle salle de bain. Très bon petit déjeuner dans une très jolie salle avec possibilité d’être en terrasse. L’hôtel est très bien situé.

Les oreillers étaient un peu trop durs.

Premier soir la climatisation coule je le signale à la réception qui étant seul il n’a rien pu faire pour nous le lendemain matin lit et sol détrempé il me propose de faire venir un technicien pendant notre absence ce que je refuse catégoriquement et je refuse de rester le temps de l’intervention je pense très sincèrement que l’entretien de la climatisation aurait dû être fait avant notre arrivée et que nous ne sommes pas obligé de subir le manque de sérieux de l’hôtel ! Le directeur c’est également permis de nous manquer de respect à notre départ concernant les serviettes et le matelas mouillé dû à la climatisation alors que nous ne sommes en rien responsable du manque de sérieux de l’établissement ! De plus il se permet de nous menacer d’encaisser le prix d’une nuit alors que c’est ce monsieur lui même ainsi que son établissement qui sont fautifs ! Nous n’avons rien dit pour la poussière accumuler sous les lit mais la climatisation était la goutte d’eau de trop ! Nous pensions choisir un lieu agréable et sérieux et nous regrettons amèrement cette réservation car de plus ma fille de 5 ans a du dormir dans un lit à moitié trempé !

Long walk from main area Our room was wheelchair accessible so the bathroom was a wet room the water went everywhere made it very dangerous No A/c in the reception area in the day was too hot The terrace bar was ran separately so closed at 8pm I think which was a shame as nice to sit out there for a coffee / breakfast etc but closed for a nice drink in the evening n way back from town.

Very disappointing experience. We got here earlier this week and had a ridiculous encounter with the hotel receptionist. He told me that I need to say hello upon arrival and was super rude. I confronted him about this and things escalated. He proceeded to throw my phone down on the floor and sludge his food on me. Nice warm welcome huh? Well we stayed here for 4 nights and the service is mediocre. Some employees are nice and other employees are super rude. Hotel is super booshie and they definitely put money into it. But sorry with this behavior we have to give it 1 star. Completely unacceptable and will only fly in this dumpy country of France.

We had a lovely few days here. Wonderful huge shower room, delightful room with windows on 2 sides and a huge comfortable bed. Plenty of storage and a little sofa, and desk, too. The lift is pretty rubbish, slow, tiny, usually filled with staff going up and down with sheets, but what’s 100 steps but good for you? Let down by confusing cafe. The staff are great but it officiously closes at 8pm just when you might want a nice drink outside, and it was never quite clear whether it was really part of the hotel or not. Certainly breakfast was an extra, should you want it. Attractively decorated reception hall and I guess, going by the other reviews, that we were lucky to mainly dodge the (necessary) inconvenience of renovations. If they don’t renovate, people only complain that places are ‘tired’ so I guess they can’t win.

The hotel is in a beautiful building at a few minute walk from the beach and city centre. The hall is spacious and the stuff courteous. We had a good time there. Some points to consider: The room was mediocre. the bathroom's door handle was partially damaged, and the wooden frame's paint was coming off in places. The shower was of good size, but the water pressure rather low. There was only shower gel (of good quality and smell) but no toiletries or lotions. Rather disappointing for the cost of the room. The rest of the room was OK, even though the TV was a flat screen of the 90's, with very poor channels selection. the breakfast was prepared chronically late (in the 4 days we stayed there, the warm food arrived at least 30 min late), but quite varied. A bit disappointing that in such a beautiful place and city, they could not offer proper pastries. Overall, the hotel has a clear advantage, that is the location and the building, but with a little more effort this could be a beauty. On a side note, we asked for a romantic package as it was our wedding anniversary. We found 4 macaroons on a plate, a mini bottle of champagne, and a bunch of ballons on the bed. For the price we paid, this was a bit unimpressive, even though we appreciated the gesture. I asked for an additional bunch of flowers and it was really nice. thanks for this.

Beds are terrible. If you are couple and lookin Queen bed this hotels is not provide you. At least room number 52 has two separate bed are pretending like queen ben. Me and my wife always controlled the middle of each separate bed

Location is superb: close to the sea, not far from the railway station and very close to a tram station, and very quiet at that. Good air conditioning, which is crucial with 28 C at night.

Some fruits for breakfast would be nice.

Hotelli oli isossa remontissa oleskelumme aikana ja vain osittain käytössä, tästä ei ollut missään mainintaa ennakkoon, mikä hieman harmitti. Remontin äänistä ei koitunut häiriötä. Hotelli on siisti, rauhallisella paikalla, mutta kuitenkin kävelymatkan päässä keskustan vilinästä.

Remontin vuoksi hotelli oli vain osittain käytössä.
