The location was perfect, across from the train station and two blocks from the Chapel Bridge and Old Town Lucerne. The room AC worked well and the room was quiet. Fast elevators. Good rooftop bar. Did not eat breakfast at the hotel.

A room was a little dated if you looked closely.

Great location . Large rooms. Very comfortable beds. Large bathrooms. Very quiet. Beautiful rooftop bar area.

Hotel facilities and location were great. Our only issue was on Saturday night the street partying went on til about 4 am, hard to sleep. According to hotel staff this is typical for Friday or Saturday nights.

Location was amazing. Right next to the train station.

My room looked nothing like the picture. It was really old and not updated. The only clean and updated area was the bathroom.

The station is right across the street and the rooms have a very nice view. Bathrooms are updated and the complimentary sparkling water with Ricola drops is a nice touch. The beds are quite comfortable and the provided bath products are nice.

The hotel is showing its age with being able to hear people from the hall (*volume based) and the carpet and wallpapers show signs of staining. The carpet also wasnt vacuumed properly before our stay as we found a snacking nut on the floor under the desk.

Genau das ist die Achillesferse des Hotels. Heute 8.30 keine Wurstwaren mehr am Buffet es dauerte 10 Min. Frisches Obst, überhaupt Obst trotz Reklamation nicht vorhanden. Rezeption: kaufe am Freitag 2 Fahrscheine für Schifffahrt von Luzern nach Brunnen und zurück, stolzer Preis pro Kopf 77Franken. Man kann doch erwarten dass einem mitgeteilt wird, dass es 1. Klasse und 2. Klasse gibt. Eben nicht, man geht aufs Oberdecke und erfährt dann bei der Kontrolle, dass man eigentlich nach unten gehört.man zahlt auf, irgendwie peinlich. Und noch eine Bemerkung: ich war letzte Woche 3 Tage im Due Torri, Verona, Parkgebühr im wirklich verkehrsfeindliche Verona 35 € bei ihnen 105 Franken, das ist schlichtweg unverschämt und ist kein Renomee für ein 4 Sterne Hotel. Da ich in nächster Zeit mehrfach in Luzern sein werde müssen sie verstehen, dass ich Ihr Haus nicht mehr berücksichtigen werde.

The location was good and the view was great

Carpeting in hallways and room was disgusting. Toilet was old fashioned and too low. Every few hours you had to resign onto the internet.

This hotel is super central and convenient when visiting Lucerne. It's across the street from the train station and the boat pier that takes you to Mt Rigi, etc. You're steps away from the most beautiful spots, bridges, etc. The daily breakfast was a nice touch...nothing fancy but def did the job.

The Wi-Fi connection was terrible

We just completed a 15 day vacation in Switzerland. We spent 2 days At the Monopol in Luzern .It is right next to the train station and close to most of the sights. They have Starbucks in the lobby , we never used it though . The breakfast were excellent but the bacon was not cooked to American standards . The front staff helpful.

تفتقر بعض الغرف للنظافه وحجم الغرف يختلف مع حسب موقع الغرفه تلقى غرفه نفس السعر لكن وحده صغيره وحده كبيره امر غريب يرجى تدريب بعض العاملين على الترحيب بالضيوف وجعلهم اكثر بشاشه

Had air conditioning, personal safe and room refrigerator. Also glad they had Starbucks and McDonalds outside the lobby. The main train and bus station is across the street.

The only good thing about this hotel is its location.

Dirty, dingy rooms, nonchalant staff, AC that couldn’t keep the room cool, poor service, and insects crawling in the bed. Must I go on?

・アクセスの良さ。ルツェルン駅徒歩1分です。 ・スイスでは珍しく、冷房が付いています。8月は午後が暑かったので、大変助かりました。 ・到着が11時頃でしたが、チェックインの時間まで荷物を預かってくれました。 ・お祝い用のプランがあり、部屋を可愛くデコレーションしてくれました。Booking.com上のチャットで相談ができます。 ・洗面所が広く、バスタブが清潔です。

・強いて言えば、部屋の電気を全てつけても若干暗く感じました。メイクは明るい洗面所でしたので、問題ありませんでした。

最初に対応した男性スタッフの態度。こちらが英語が苦手な事を、嫌な顔して対応していた。

Excellent location just a minute from the Train station. Nice roof top bar. Best of all each room has air Conditioning with a nice digital controller. Only negative id the paid breakfast for 25 CHF, was just ok, much better places in town. I would definitely recommend this historic hotel, especially for any visiting Luzern in the summer. I would recommend this hotel to my friends. So convenient and the rooms have AC.

Fabulous hotel in the centre of the city. Supermarket next door was useful! Rooms were large and well furnished and stocked - great coffee machine! Large comfy beds, tablet room/TV control and sending of digital postcards! Would stay here again.

Badezimmertür schließt nicht vollständig. Unangenehme Nebengeräusche im Bad sind daher im Zimmer gut zu hören. Für Late Check Out um 15 Uhr bezahlt. Dennoch hat das Reinigungspersonal die Tür geöffnet. Das kann mal passieren und ist erst mal nicht so tragisch. Sie hat es schnell gemerkt und ist mit einem „ups“ wieder verschwunden. Ca. 12 Uhr kam noch mal jemand an die Tür und klopfte an um mir mitzuteilen, dass ich auschecken muss. Ihm teilte ich mit, dass ich für den späteren Check Out bezahlt habe.

Great location next to the train but customer service is lacking. An alarm went off at 0215 and kept going off an on until around 0315. We were awoken and went into the lobby with no direction or insight on what was going on. Only to find out it was an issue with the “club next door”. There was no apology or anything. It dedicated our day and plans. Room was comfortable. I’ll choose another hotel next time.

Excellent location. Very easy booking in and checking out. Beds were exceptionally comfortable. The shower is very awkward to use. You have to stand in a corner or the floor gets very wet. Lovely outdoor area we had for breakfast

La habitación era súper amplia. Había una mesita para comer algo además de un escritorio. El aire acondicionado andaba de maravillas. Y tenía un vestidor súper cómodo para el equipaje! Tenía heladera, pava eléctrica y cafetera. El baño está muy amplio también. La ubicación era estratégica!! Enfrente de la estación de Lucerna donde había locales de comida, supermercado, locales de ropa y oficina de turismo que nos ayudaron un montón con sus recomendaciones! Abajo del hotel hay mc Donald’s y Starbucks. No teníamos contratado desayuno pero no fue un inconveniente. Los ómnibus también paraban enfrente así que la conexión era increíble! El puente emblemático quedaba a pocos pasos así que todo perfecto!

Recomendaría ajustar el proceso de conexión al WiFi porque hay que recibir un código por SMS y eso me resultó incómodo. Seguramente si preguntaba me habrían dado alguna solución alternativa pero no lo hice. Una vez conectado funcionaba muy bien

Location was perfect.

A bit of a rabbit Warren. There were three small lifts but one was allocated for staff use, one for access to the suite facilities on 7th floor and the other was busy because it was also used by commercial tenants on several lower floors. The reception staff tried but were often overwhelmed and you could see their frustration occasionally when dealing with demanding guests. Would stay there again but only because we had a junior suite which whilst a little tired, was comfortable.

Convenient location but hotel staffs can be a little nicer.

I like the location very much, it is 3 minutes walking to the lake. The hotel has few parking spots, the staff allowed us to parking in the hotel, it is too convenient for us.

We had a very good stay at Hotel Monopol Luzern. The location couldn’t be better—it’s just a 2-minute walk from the train station and the boat pier, making it incredibly convenient for exploring Lucerne. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and the hotel is very nice overall. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay thanks to the excellent location, comfortable room, and the convenience of being so close to the train station and the lake. We would definitely consider staying here again.

There were two things that could be improved. First, the air conditioning is centrally controlled by the hotel. I tend to sleep in a very cool room, and on most nights the room felt warmer than I would have liked. Second, the bathtub is unusually high, making it difficult—and potentially dangerous—for children, older adults, or anyone with limited mobility to get in and out safely.

We stayed here for two night pre-river cruise. Great location right across the street from the train station. Easy walk to center of town. Room was nice.

The location cannot be beat for convenience. It's right across the street from the train and bus stations and there is an underground connection to the train station right outside the front door. There is a Starbucks and a McDonald's right in the building and it's very close to the old bridge and other fantastic sites. The view from our sixth floor windows was great and there is a cool rooftop restaurant on the seventh floor. The staff were very friendly and very helpful.

The room we were in seemed a little bit dated, but still completely clean and comfortable. It's a little on the small side to be called a "junior suite". It's likely that the high room price was mainly for the view and the location of the hotel.

The decor of the room was not just tired but exhausted. Rip in wallpaper, stains on floor and upholstery. The pictures on the site do not represent reality. By Swiss standards the breakfast was below average.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights across four rooms. Its best feature is the location — right next to Lucerne train station, with a McDonald's and Starbucks on the ground floor for convenience. However, that same location can be a bit of a nuisance on weekend nights, as street noise carried all the way up to the 6th floor on a Saturday. To the hotel's credit, when we requested a room change from the 4th floor due to a smell issue, the front desk promptly upgraded us to a room on the 6th floor. The check-in process is quite tech-enabled, done entirely via an iPad, and even communicating with the front desk or housekeeping during your stay is done through an iPad in the room — it has the efficient, functional feel of a business hotel more than a boutique one, which worked well for our practical needs during the trip. Access to a microwave on the 6th floor and an ice machine on the 1st floor was genuinely helpful, letting us eat in after long days of sightseeing. The hotel also kindly held onto our luggage after checkout on our last day, which made our departure much easier. The breakfast spread was well laid out, and the staff were very helpful in providing gluten-free bread options.

Price was probably a bit high, but isn't everything in Switzerland.

We loved how centrally located it was to the train station - right across the way. We had McDonald’s and a Starbucks and also many many bakeries and shops. The property had a great breakfast! We were also near by the bridge. The picture attached is getting out of the train station you can see the hotel.

unfortunately the staff was not too accommodating. They charged us an extra $1200 for my 12 year old that weighs only 70 lbs and still can sleep anywhere. We asked for a small extra bed for him and it was not provided. So when the room says for 4 if there is an extra person they will enforce it and it’s extremely strict.
