The room was clean and comfortable. Very minimalistic. The location was nestled between two mountains with its own waterfront area for swimming in the sea. A hidden gem away from the hustle and bustle of the Amalfi Coast. The staff was so nice. We are gluten free so the staff accommodated our dietary issue with gf croissants and other gf treats with our breakfast. They also had parking available which was less expensive than the street parking.

L'emplacement de l'hôtel dans une crique, c'est maginfique, le personnel très agréable et qui cherche à nous satisfaire. Nous avions demandé deux chambres rapprochées au moment de notre réservation car pas de chambre familiale disponible et c'était parfait! La propreté des chambres, impeccables. 3 autres restaurants sur place et promenade par un chemin sécurisé qui borde la plage que nous avons faite le soir, superbe!

Notre réservation n'etait que pour 1 nuit et en ça c'était parfait. Parking payant de 25€ à ajouter mais franchement déjà beaucoup de chance de pouvoir avoir un parking sur la côte amalfitaine! Le prix du restaurant est vraiment énorme (menu à 170€/pers, c'est le prix d'un étoilé en France! Sinon choix de plats à payer en fonction du poids du poisson ou de la viande, nous n'avons pas pris le risque...). Le petit-déjeuner est servi à l'intérieur, pas possible de le prendre sur la terrasse car elle est réservée pour les clients extérieurs à l'hôtel! Grosse frustration! Pour un restaurant qui propose son menu à 170€/pers, le petit déjeuner compris n'est vraiment pas à la hauteur, vraiment basic et si vous voulez une omelette ou bacon il faudra payer un supplément! À la vue de notre surprise, la personne qui était présente en salle à tout fait pour nous satisfaire et nous a préparé une très belle assiette salée, un grand merci à lui, très commerçant pour ce geste. L'espace plage libre est vraiment petit et les bateaux partent du petit ponton donc pas agréable (odeurs...).

Que estaba sobre la playa, la atención del personal, el servicio de la habitación, la habitación súper silenciosa, moderna, cómoda y podías mantenerla oscura en la mañana para descansar un rato más sin claridad, a pocos mts de una tratoria, un resto y dos bares el lugar perfecto de toda la costa amalfitana.

The hotel is situated in a truly unique and beautiful bay near Amalfi. The standard of the accommodation corresponded to the hotel’s rating and to our expectations. Every member of staff, including the restaurant team, was exceptionally kind, polite and welcoming throughout our stay. Their natural warmth and friendliness contributed greatly to what was otherwise a very pleasant and memorable family holiday.

Unfortunately, the prices in the hotel restaurant are completely out of touch with reality. The restaurant is simply overpriced, and this significantly affects the overall impression of the stay. We had dinner there only once. A relatively simple meal for four people cost us almost EUR 200. As a result, we ate all our other meals, especially dinners, elsewhere. Judging by what we observed, many other hotel guests made exactly the same decision. This pricing policy ultimately causes the greatest financial loss to the hotel itself. With more reasonable prices, we would have happily eaten there every day. Instead, the restaurant lost virtually all of our potential spending during the rest of the stay. This is particularly unfortunate because the location is unique and the restaurant staff are extremely pleasant. The problem is not the people or the service. It is simply the pricing.

Staff and location were fantastic!! Easy access to the beach and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful.

Rooms were a little dated but clean and comfortable.

Nossa experiência no Hotel Alfonso a Mare foi simplesmente excelente. Chegamos em meio a uma forte tempestade e, mesmo assim, fomos recebidos com muita atenção, simpatia e cuidado por toda a equipe. Além disso, alguns amigos prepararam uma surpresa para nossa lua de mel em parceria com o hotel, e tudo foi organizado de forma impecável. Eles prepararam um delicioso bolo de limão e fizeram questão de tornar aquele momento ainda mais especial para nós. O atendimento foi excepcional do início ao fim, o quarto era confortável, tudo muito bem cuidado e a hospitalidade fez toda a diferença. Agradecemos por fazerem parte de uma lembrança tão importante da nossa vida. Recomendo de olhos fechados!

Super bien situé pour visiter Positano et Amalfi en autobus ou en navette fluviale. Petit-déjeuner bien garni et cappuccino très bon. Les employés s’adaptent très bien à nos demandes et font tout leur possible pour nous accommoder.

Es war in einer Tiefgarage, aber trotzdem war es sehr schön und es war direkt am Meer Das Essen war auch sehr gut und bisschen weiter ist eine Bar il Pirata, dort sehr schön!

La ubicación es genial, tanto si te mueves en ferry como en bus, las vistas desde el comedor mientras desayunas son inmejorables. La atención del personal del hotel fue perfecta, especialmente la de Carmine y Stefano. Tanto la habitación como el baño eran completos y amplios. Ideal para relajarse unos días en esta tranquila cala.

Staff were friendly, the location was fabulous down in the cove, with a sea view from our balcony & the beach just in front. Our suite was very comfortable with lovely decor. There were a few great restaurants close by. A nourishing breakfast was served on the terrace. It was also a great location to explore the rest of the Amalfi Coast from, both by boat, car & a bus stop just above the cove.

Very well located (Praiano is preferable for families to Positano or Amalfi - in my view)

few places on the Amalfi coast have access to the beach. 5 minutes from the bus stop, a small effort to climb. Cleanliness, view, access to the water, water taxi, Amalfi coast tour, very good restaurants, and public transport.

Located on the beach in Praiano it’s a great little hotel. Quite difficult to get to, but we arrived by boat, which was easy Limited beach space but there is a small hidden area at the front that has sun all afternoon. Super helpful staff and really made our stay enjoyable. We had an early start to walk the path of the gods 6am… they provided an awesome little take away breakfast (didn’t have to do that but they did). Some great restaurants near by and would highly recommended Il Pitata… amazing food.

Nothing negative about the hotel.

This is the spot. There’s hundreds of options in praiano positano and amalfi. Don’t look anywhere else. Book the sea view room if available. Or ask about room 11 the suite - the cave shower is next level. The food also next level. The staff is the best. We will be back in a few months no question about it! Thank you to everyone at Alfonso that made our honeymoon so unforgettable

Hotel Alfonso was perfectly located between Positano and Almafi with its own marina and beach. Beautiful property with great views.

This is the most magnificent location on the Amalfi coast. Positano and other places are so crowded it isn’t fun. This place is quiet and beautiful and so unique, like a scene out of a movie. The breakfast is good and the staff here is super friendly. A great front desk staff that was very helpful. We stayed two nights, but I could have stayed more. I have already recommended it to friends.

I did not like the 45 euro expense for a beach chair and umbrella. I think that is a steep price by any measure. I understand that it such a small space and in demand, but as a quest of the hotel, I think that it is expensive. The other thing to remember, but no reflection on this property is that all the restaurants that are close are very expensive compared to other locations.

Gran ubicación! Praiano es la tranquilidad que uno necesita en la Costa Amalfitana. Parada de bus en el ingreso a la calle del hotel. Limpieza impecable. La amabilidad de sus empleados es destacable. 100% recomendable

Pas de partenariat avec le parking adjacent. Le parking nous a facturé 30 € pour la nuit et 30 € pour la journée suivante alors que nous sommes arrivés vers 18h00 et que nous sommes repartis le lendemain vers 16h30. Nous avons trouvé cela abusif.

Purtroppo e' un posto per un publico ricco e il risparmio non va contemplato,ma di certo lascia un ricordo bellissimo.Quello che proprio non mi e piaciuto e' il traffico dei taxi marini che disturbano la quiete e l incanto di quella piccola baia.

What a lovely secluded little area, yet a close walk to at least 4 dinner options. We tried 2 of the local restaurants, both were very good! We also took Il Pirato lounge chairs for the day which were indeed pricey but well worth it - stunning location! The hotel staff are friendly & welcoming and our room was clean and well designed with a great little terrace where we could watch the little boats come and go in the tiny port.

Not much to not like really! The bed was a bit hard for our liking and could’ve done with a kettle & tea/cafe for the room as the restaurants don’t open that early for breakfast.

It was magical, the location, the views, food, and everything. Staff were friendly and warm.

Only thing that I didn’t like was that reception is not available after 9 pm. So in case of an emergency, there is no one to contact. Since the location is also hard to reach from the center, I felt a bit anxious from time to time.

Do not stay here. It’s the equivalent of staying in a dirty hostel with rude unwelcoming staff

Worst hotel experience. Was put in a room with no functioning window and asked to speak to the manager to switch rooms where I was met with sarcasm and zero hospitality. Not only was the manager rude but the entire staff is flippant and rude. They wanted to charge me an additional $175 to have a window—$325 total when the entire hotel was empty. I then attempted to cancel my stay when I had no viable options which they also refused even though I had multiple nights booked. The private beach they claim to have is actually littered by a public side that bleeds into any privacy one could have to swim and the food is awful. The rooms are dirty and small. Please book your stay with a hotel who is warm and welcoming to guests—This hotel is not that.

Sensationelle Lage . Direkt am Strand . Im Bett liegend hat man das Meer rauschen gehört.

Leider war in Zimmer Nummer 7 die rechte Wand bei der Dusche nicht gefliest. Von daher zieht der Putz hier ständig Wasser vom Duschen. Wand ist somit permanent nass und schimmelt. Der Geruch hängt sich leider in der Wohnung fest. Beim öffnen der Zimmertüre nimmt man den Geruch sofort wahr. Liegen und Sonnenschirm sind leider nicht kostenfrei für die Hotelgäste ( 35.-€ würde es pro Tag kosten )

You have to really pay attention when you can't get your car out we had an early flight and we forgot to mention it to somebody and there was no one there to get our keys. Truly, not their fault ... I believe they told us the hours when we first checked in...

The The room was very nice and the area around the hotel exceptional. The staff was helpful and the ability to park on site for a fee was very welcome. The restaurant breakfast was adequate but nothing great. The dinner options were good but very eclectic. The pricing was a little high and I don't know if the menu would meet everyone's expectations.

Excellent breakfast, friendly staff, great location right by the beach, excellent walk-in shower and decor (cliff wall incorporated into bathroom was a nice touch).

Being charged for use of the sun loungers on the beach in addition to the cost of the room. Absence of tea/coffee making facilities in the bedroom.

Los paisajes y las instalaciones son muy bonitas, el personal es muy amable, es un lugar para descansar, muy hermoso, da mucha tranquilidad. El desayuno es muy completo y rico. Queda a 15 o 20 minutos de los pueblos se debe tomar transporte público, bus con horarios establecidos y comprar el tiquete antes de subir al bus, con taxi o llevar vehículo, si van a manejar deben tener cuidado y ser muy expertos, la ruta tiene muchas curvas y es muy estrecha y la gente a menudo se descompensa.

I liked that it was right on the water, easy to catch a water taxi or plan an excursion. Nice restaurants near and you don’t have to carry your luggage down 500 steps

There was never enough eggs or bacon available at 815 and breakfast opened at 8am. We loved our room but it was over the restaurant so it was loud late at night and then again early. Also we slept with the door open to feel the breeze and the night watchman was watching his phone at full volume and woke me up. If you don’t have a car you would be in trouble. I didn’t like that we had to pay for sun chairs even though we were residents of the hotel

The hotel was in the most fabulous location on a private beach. Stunning views all around. Clean, comfortable and quiet rooms. Breakfast was delicious and served in the dining room on a huge ornamental boat.

This hotel is away from the main town of Praiano, so is difficult to get to, but totally worth it! The hotel restaurant was pricey.

Gutes Hotel an der Amalfiküste. Die Anfahrt ist sehr steil und eng.Der Empfang war freundlich , aber bestimment. Die Zimmer sind am Hang und neben einer Tiefgarage, welche bis spät in die Nacht für Lärm sorgen. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und ausreichend.

Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis war für uns nicht in Ordnung. Nur allein, das ich für eine Nacht eine Parkgebühr von 40 Euro bezahlen musste ist, obwohl es mindestens eine halbe Stunde Diskussion gab, ob ich überhaupt hier parken kann, ist für mich nicht nachvollziehbar.

The location on the beach in Praiano was absolutely exquisite! The views, the restaurants, the staff - everything was perfect.

The location was amazing. We were right on the water and right off the port in Priano, so nice for getting boat taxis and seeing all of the boats. We were also close to so many restaurants and fun excursions. We didn't venture to the other side beyond the point of Priano but where we did go and what we did see by the hotel was beautiful. Breakfast was just fine, nothing extravagant, but we were able to start our days with cappuccino and corneto, the perfect breakfast. The view was so beautiful- walking out the door to see the water and the cove we were in was so peaceful and picturesque every day.

The bed was just slightly stiff, but otherwise everything was amazing!
