Excellent room for the price. Clean with working aircondition. Bathroom very nice, but the floor and shower was slippery when wet. Old people (as us): beware!

NOT the hotels fault, but the distance from the hotel to the garage was 2,1 km, from garage to the hotel was only 130 m The garage was narrow and cramped, BUT better than street parking

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Central. Great location, good facilities, comfortable room and very friendly, helpful staff who gave us great tips on what to see and do. Highly recommended. We would happily stay again!

Nulla per ciò che attiene la struttura, purtroppo è la città di Catania (tranne alcune rare zone, vedi P.za Duomo) a non essere all'altezza dell'Hotel, nonostante abbia gioielli architettonici, siti storici, di assoluto rilievo.

Good location and very nice front desk staff. Nice breakfast which owner set up early for us due to early flight.

Room temperature was on the warm side. They use air conditioning unit. We set unit on lowest temperature of 64 and probably was 75 in the room. Owner was very nice to bring fan to room which helped greatly.

Well located between the train station (anyone travelling with a trolley suitcase will curse the terrible sidewalks along the way) and the historic city centre. A bus stop to get to the airport is located even closer. Very friendly and helpful staff who also speak English! I had requested a quiet room when booking, and that is what I got. The view is at the back, so not great. But I slept really well. Otherwise, the room and bathroom are as expected: simple but neat. Good breakfast. I had already been to Catania twice before, so this became my best stay in this city.

Upon our arrival, Mrs. Paola introduced us the city on a map and explained how to move in the city and suggested places to visit. During our stay we were having a great communication. All the staff was very friendly and supportive. The location is excellent, near the city center. The main landmarks are within a walkable distance. Breakfast was very good. I recommend the hotel, we enjoyed our stay there.

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay at hotel Centrum. The location was excellent, close to the bars and restaurants. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable with everything you need apart from tea/coffee making facilities. The air con was excellent and having a fridge really helped, we also liked the small balcony. We staying room 401 at the back of the hotel which was good as there was no road noise. If i had to criticise the room it would be limescale on the showerhead which could have been cleaner. Beds and pillows extremely comfortable and all the staff especially reception staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was decent aswell although the eggs could have been warmer but everything there to fill you up for the day. If i was going back to Catania I would definitely book the hotel centrum again, overall and excellent stay.

O hotel foi uma excelente surpresa, desde a simpatia e atenção do funcionário da recepção que nos recebeu às instalações muito boas do quarto, bem renovado e cuidado. Infelizmente o entorno nos deixou assustados e com sensação de insegurança, mas não houve qualquer problema. O entorno está em obras e pouco iluminado, mas é seguro.

O café da manhã não era muito saboroso, mas atendeu para um desjejum.

We only stayed for one night, but lady who welcomed us at property was very friendly and also gave few recommendations. Her English was perfect, which made things a lot easier too. Breakfast was nice too.

The location felt very dodgy at night especially as 3 women traveling. The bed was uncomfortable and the air conditioning genuinely does NOT work which was frustrating after doing so much walking and having this hotel market that there is AC. They also market having an “airport shuttle” which I had assumed would be free but when we asked about it they just called us a taxi which we then had to pay €40 for. Kind of ridiculous to be falsely advertising that. During the night we kept hearing a loud buzzing noise and we had no idea what it was from which again just didn’t make 3 women travelers comfortable. Glad we only had to be here one night.

O pequeno almoço com bolos caseiros era muito bom, o atendimento da funcionária da recepção foi muito profissional e afável.

Apesar de estar muito próximo do centro a zona não é segura. E o parque disponibilizado para os hóspedes apesar de ser perto o acesso é demorado pois a zona encontra se em obras.

We stayed there only one night but everything was very good. Stuff was very nice, found transportation to airport for us very early in the morning. Beds were big and comfortable, air conditioners worked well, there were a mini fridges in both rooms and good wi-fi. Bathrooms were big and very clean. Rooms were kinda small but it was ok for us. Location was also good, 10-15 min on foot from train station and same to city centre.

To the second floor (the first floor where the rooms are) you can get only by stairs so if you have big suitcase it can be hard but i think the staff would help.

I found this hotel in an emergency as my flight had been cancelled and the airline hadn't helped me. I am so glad I chose Hotel Centrum the staff were so lovely helpful and understanding. The room was large clean and comfortable. Breakfast excellent. The location is a short walk from the centre of Catania and the staff advised me on the route to take. Thank you hotel Centrum you made a very stressful situation much much better

That is incredibly frustrating, and you have every right to be annoyed. There is nothing worse than arriving after a long drive only to find out that "parking included" actually means "parking for a toy car"—and then being forced to waste 20 minutes driving in circles just to find a spot where a normal vehicle can actually fit.

Very friendly and helpful front desk staff. Great breakfast. Bathroom was updated with a great shower.

The noise from traffic below throughout the night. No proper curtains, there was shutters but struggled to get them to move so lots of light coming through in the morning.

It was a charming little hotel in a good location walkable to the center of city. I came in only for one day because I needed the airport, but I could’ve stayed a little longer.

Śniadanie było relatywnie OK, ale nie zawsze z owoców był dostępny melon. Miałem pokój od podwórza, więc choć widok z okna był słaby pokój był bardzo cichy. Pokój bardzo czysty.

Z krojonych owoców był zawsze tylko ananas. Ja bym oferował więcej: melony i arbuzy.

Dobra lokalizacja dla osób , które chcą zwiedzać . Blisko do Centrum, a także do głównego dworca autobusowego i kolejowego. Hotel kameralny. Bardzo pomocna obsługa.

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentrumsnah. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich die tollen Mitarbeiter! Ich habe großartige Restaurant-Tipps bekommen, und der Nachtportier hat mir, da ich früh los mußte, vor der regulären Frühstückszeit einen Cappuchino gemacht und das Frühstück bereitgestellt.

Die Ausstattung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen.

On day one i saw a little roach in our room. IHotel was in front of the police building. Scary looking building that needs a lot of love. However, i always felt safe going in and out of the hotel.

The room was old world comfortable with the stunning old fashioned windows, the a/c worked very well and the bathroom was modern exceptional. Guests of the hotel enjoy a complimentary robust breakfast with a large selection of different foods. The location is perfect for exploring the city center. The best part of Hotel Centrum is the staff! They are friendly, helpful and went above and beyond for me. When we checked in the person at the front desk pulled out a map and showed us the main piazza and the best shopping/eating streets. He also recommended 3 trattorias. We only had time to go to one of them and it was amazing, we loved the food and hospitality there. When we left and were at the airport I discovered I didn't have my passport! I panicked but fortunately after calling the hotel a staff member went right to my room and found it. The passport was dispatched to the airport immediately and I was able to make my flight! A nightmare mistake on my part turned into a minor mishap that was resolved by the conscientious and remarkable people at Hotel Centrum. I am so happy I stayed here.

Loved the decor in this hotel: understated and tasteful. Nice selection at breakfast. Fresh coffee, delivered to your table - not out of a machine. Room very nice, great bathroom, great shower. Four English language TV channels - if you're interested. Convenient location, central. Easy walking to bus and train stations.

Scrambled eggs at breakfast could have been topped up more often, and kept warmer.

Best reception staff, so friendly and thoughtful. Gave us so many tips on what to do and which part of the city to explore on foot. We chose a small double room but it was well planned so we did not feel cramped. The ensuite was modern, with powerful water pressure, and sufficient toiletries. There was ample choice at breakfast.For an old building, the interior was fresh and comfortable. We would recommend this very strongly as a good place for short stays.

Excellent rapport qualité prix ++. L'accueil parle français, les chambres ne sont pas grandes, mais propres, bien équipées, salles de bains rénovés pour ma chambre. Bruits de la ville jusqu'à 23h, 24h. Tres bien situé pour visiter la ville ++ et petit déjeuner excellent avec produits frais.

Le côté un peu ancien de l'hôtel mais est-ce un défaut ? : beaucoup de charme, celui d'avoir l'impression d'arriver et dormir dans un logement familial.

Super hotel zlokalizowany w centrum miasta. Bardzo pomocny personel. Przepyszne śniadania, zwłaszcza kawa cappuccino i sok ze świeżo wyciskanych pomarańczy. Dodatkowym atutem możliwość wynajęcia prywatnego garażu, przez co nie było problemu z parkowaniem auta na ulicy. Polecam.

Stayed 6 nights at Hotel Centrum. We found it suited our needs to explore both Catania and using the transport system to go further afield. The room was a good size with a modern bathroom, and even though we had a road facing room with building work going on but were not disturbed. Breakfast was good. All staff, especially the people on reception were really helpful and pleasant. Would recommend.

Staff are all so friendly and helpful. Breakfast is lovely with a variety of choices. Coffee is excellent. Room is good size with lovely bathroom, comfortable bed and high quality bedding.

Not their fault but the surrounding streets are noisy, dirty and lots of roadworks making it difficult to walk.

Hôtel bien situé en centre ville, proche des principales attractions touristiques. Malheureusement, de nombreux travaux de voirie ou d'immeubles voisins occasionnent actuellement du bruit en journée. Le personnel est très accueillant et serviable. Le petit déjeuner est copieux avec un grand choix de spécialités. Notre chambre, en duplex, était spacieuse et confortable.

Nous n'avons pas de remarques négatives à faire.
