Big comfortable rooms, great staff, great food

The view from the room wasn’t that great and I wish there was furniture on the balcony, at least a chair and small table would have been nice..

Great location & very helpful staff. Also has a fabulous roof top bar and pool.

We had one of the back rooms, of which the outlook isn’t so nice.

Good location near port and a short uphill walk to the central bars and restaurants. Rooftop bar with seating area and pool was very good. We were upgraded to a junior suite so had plenty of room. Very comfortable huge bed. The free hotel car parking was immediately outside the hotel and a real plus. Breakfast cost €20 per head but was exceptionally good and service top class.

Harbor location in an historical building. Comfortable beds!

Not a real spa hotel. Everything is at an extra charge including the saunas! The outdoor pool wasn’t heated and no service at the pool bar! They charge an extra 100 euros for a room that they called a suite! Was worse than our first regular room! Very noisy air traffic until 2am from nearby airport. Hot in the hallways in the hotel! The coffee cups in the room didn’t fit the coffee machine🤔

the breakfast was amazing, with lots of great choices both local specialties and continental choices. We loved each breakfast buffet as it was like a highlight of the hotel itself. Location is very convenient, super close and easy walk to both center and port for Ferry/ boat trips. Amazingly friendly and supportive staff as they offered to store our luggage for our 3-days trip to Santorini. We really appreciated their willingness to fulfill all our requests.

We loved the location. The breakfast was amazing. The room was clean. We travel a lot and I think the check-in was the easiest check-in I’ve ever experienced. The wine bar and pool on the top floor was excellent great view. Staff was super nice and very accommodating.

Inmiddels heb ik al meerdere beoordelingen over dit hotel geschreven. Ik blijf bij de inhoud daarvan. De manager van het hotel bewijst elke keer weer dat zij luistert naar de wensen van haar gasten en waar nodig verbeteringen en/of aanpassingen in de hotelkamers aanbrengt. Door dat te doen, blijft het hotel het beste van de stad. Het personeel is hartelijk. Je voelt je zeer welkom.

Acceuil personnalisé et vraiment exceptionnel, en vacances en famille avec deux personnes âgées notre prise en charge par l'hôtel etait vraiment top ! Cerise sur la gâteau nous avons été surclassés bénéficiant ainsi de chambres VIP avec vue sur la mer. Personnel aux petits soins, hôtel historique vraiment magnifique avec une architecture unique et de grands couloirs pavés de marbre gris, de nombreux petits coins salons, et j'en passe, vraiment trés haut de gamme. La plage est à deux pas de l'hôtel et ils ont pensé à aménager une sortie qui vous permets de vous mettre directement dans la bonne direction. Aller dans cet hôtel c'est comme remonter le temps mais sans renoncer aux luxe et à la modernité.

Un tout petit bémol pour la piscine sur le toit qui est top pour la vue sur la mer mais vraiment très petite.

Todo es perfecto en este hotel, la habitación es super cómoda, y además nos dieron un upgrade y nos pusieron vistas al mar. El desayuno es simplemente espectacular. El personal muy amable. La ubicación, frente al puerto, es perfecta si vienes en ferry, porque está a 5 minutos caminando.

Das Hotel ist deutlich in die Jahre gekommen. Das Restaurant auf dem Dach entspricht bei weitem nicht dem, was man bei einem 5 Sterne Hotel erwarten kann. Keine Hilfe beim Gepäck und beim Suchen nach einem Parkplatz. Die Bäder sind nicht sehr komfortabel. Duschen in der Wanne und insgesamt eher klein. Wir waren schon öfter dort, suchen aber jetzt sicher nach einer Alternative.

Great location for the night before catching the ferry, and also a short distance to town center. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Lovely room, spacious and comfortable bed.

The air conditioning did not appear to work in the morning, not sure why. So it was a little uncomfortable in the room when getting ready to catch the ferry at 8am

Emplacement idéal pour visiter Héraklion à pieds, staff très gentil et aux petits soins. Le dernier étage avec la piscine et le bar est très agréable. Les chambres sont confortables.

Étant proche de l’aéroport, on peut entendre les avions décoller et passer au dessus de l’hôtel une partie de la soirée

Location, staff and room were all amazing. The best thing was the buffet breakfast. The highlight was the raisin pie. It was great to be able to have a dip in the rooftop pool when it was hot.

Le côté chic et classe de l’hôtel, le fait d’avoir obtenu un upgrade (et tant qu’à faire la meilleure chambre de l’hôtel !!), la très grande variété du petit-déjeuner et la qualité des produits, l’amabilité du personnel, la propreté, le calme, la petite piscine au 5ème avec vue sur le port et le fameux fort vénitien, le parking compris dans le prix (les places de parc sont rares dans le centre historique).

The breakfast is fantastic. The Korres toiletries are a lovely touch. It was our fourth stay at the GDM Megaron and unlike other places the standard is of a consistent high standard.

Hotel má skvělou polohu – centrum města i Archeologické muzeum jsou pešky snadno dostupné. Z předních pokojů je navíc nádherný výhled na moře. Velmi příjemný je také střešní bazén s barem, odkud je opravdu krásný výhled na moře a okolí města. Personál byl po celou dobu pobytu velmi milý, přátelský a ochotný, vždy připravený pomoci. Pobyt, i když byl krátký, jsme si moc užili a celkově jsme se v hotelu cítili velmi příjemně.

Lovely hotel with a great location close to the town centre and the port. Beautiful rooftop pool and bar / restaurant area. Room was large.

Our double bed was just 2 singles pushed together... all with single sheeting. That is not a double bed.

Everything about this hotel was incredible. From location, buffet breakfast to the fantastic staff who went beyond to help. We really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend

We chose this hotel because it was very close to the port. We stayed one night and left early from Heraklion to Santorini. It was about 500 meters to walk to the ferry so very convenient. We had time to use the rooftop pool on the previous evening - great views, we loved it. The room was overall nice too. I would stay here again if I would need a brief stop in Heraklion, especially to catch a ferry in the morning.

Lovely large comfortable bed - staff were very nice.

Too noisy from outside - planes and nightclub over the road playing very loud music until 2.30 am. Couldn’t sleep even with ear buds. When I mentioned it to the reception they said other residents had mentioned it. If it happened then they said to ring reception and they would call the police. Bathroom was very dated. I had a junior suite and the shower was an extension from the tap of the bath. Very disappointing for a more expensive room.

Ich war bereits zum zweiten Mal dort. Und habe mich wieder sehr wohl dort gefühlt. Leider etwas zu kurz. Das nächste Mal bleibe ich etwas länger. Die Zimmer waren schön groß, zumindest meines. Das kann ich sagen und die Bettenqualität war hervorragend. Alle Mitarbeiter sind sehr zuvorkommend. Ich kenne keine anderen 5 * Hotels direkt in Heraklion. Ich denke es gibt auch keine. Die Hotelathmospähre war sehr schön. Wie ein Grand Hotel. Das mag ich.

Die Preise oben an der Rooftopbar sind schon sehr Ambitioniert. Es war auch bei meinen beiden Besuchen nichts los. Das geht anders. Das war auf jeden Fall über der Grenze. Ich gebe gerne Geld aus aber das passt leider nicht.

Hotel had everything you needed, was clean, air-conditioning worked, staff were friendly and would do anything for you. Was a very good location if you were catching early ferry to Santorini.

L'emplacement et la vue exceptionnelle sur le port vénitien de la chambre vip. Le petit déjeuner incroyablement garni et varié. Le bar restaurant du 5eme très bon et très bien servi (mezze)

L'accès à la baignoire douche n'est pas très pratique. Un peu vieillotte.

Situado enfrente del puerto y muy cerca del centro de Heraklion, desde que llegas es toda una experiencia. El servicio de check in maravilloso, sin hacerme esperar, pude sentarme para cumplimentar todo. Tuve la suerte de hospedarme allí el día de mi cumpleaños, y no escatimaron en detalles, no puedo más que agradecerles los detalles en un día tan especial que estaba pasando sola. La piscina en la quinta planta es preciosa, aunque el día que me aloje hacía mucho viento y no pude disfrutarla lo que quise. Fui a entrenar al gimnasio, que aunque pequeño, tenía lo que necesitaba.

港から近く便利な立地だった。窓からヴェネチア要塞が見えるのも素敵だった。部屋も写真で見るより広く快適だった。朝食もギリシャの色々な食べ物を説明付きで置いてくれていて楽しかった！

お風呂にバスタブがついていたが、設備の古さにためか汚れのように見えてバスタブにお湯をためる気にはならなかった。シャワーは快適だった。
