Unique and stylish, the whole hotel oozed charm and individuality. Delightful host, exceptional breakfast and comfortable bed. Close to centre of the old town, the castle and the river, it was wonderfully quiet at night and air conditioning was a welcome bonus.

I originally thought when I booked that I may be paying a little higher than necessary for a hotel in Saumur but I was wrong - this hotel was worth every cent! It was perfectly positioned just next to the old square and the owner was super-accommodating with parking our car each day. The room (deluxe double) was spectacular with such an olde-world feel but with every convenience. It was considerately styled with a separate toilet/bathroom, magnifying mirror, plenty of other mirrors, a truly comfortable bed, several chairs, a great shower and a perfect view of the ancient church from the window. There is even a lift for luggage.

I can’t think of anything I didn’t like and I am quite fussy.

Wir wurden von Regis herzlich empfangen und haben tolle Tipps bekommen. Die zentrale Lage und die besondere Ausstattung und Gestaltung des Zimmers haben unseren Aufenthalt zu einem tollen Erlebnis gemacht. Wir würden jederzeit gerne wieder kommen.

Ich war bereits öfters in diesem Hotel. Sehr freundlicher Empfang - nette Gespräche, leckerer Apero. Das Zimmer ist groß und liegt wunderbar. Das Frühstück ist nicht zu toppen. Hier kommt alles auf den Tisch, was man sich vorstellen kann! Genial!

Régis verstand es hervorragend durch seine freundliche, kommunikative und hilfsbereite Art uns ein Wohlgefühl zu vermitteln, dass wir selten in einem Hotel erlebt haben. Die Atmosphäre war stets familiär und außerordentlich entschleunigend. Das mit Liebe zum Detail sowohl im Zimmer als auch in anderen Räumlichkeiten gestaltete Hotel und ein in jeder Beziehung fürsorglich serviertes und perfektes Frühstück runden dieses Gefühl ab. Die Lage ist einfach perfekt. Wenn Saumur, dann für uns nur im Saint Pierre.

The breakfast was excellent. The rooms were very cosy, comfy beds, feather pillows. The hotel is in the centre so walking distant from the restaurants and shops.

The bathroom seemed to have some fancy shower stuff in it but would have been useful to have a little explanation of what it was and how it worked as we were left a bit baffled!

Central -east walking to everything. Delightful and helpful owner, spacious room charmingly decorated. Very comfortable bed. Lovely bathroom and sitting room. Decor wonderful - very old and interesting building, beautiful dining room and bar. Can’t say a bad word about it and it excelled our expectations. Castle wonderful - very impressive and we learned a lot. Walking distance from hotel. Oh yes, breakfasts are fantastic - every taste catered for. Really lovely. Parking easy.

L’atmosphère de l’hôtel est magnifique.La gentillesse et la bienveillance de Régis et Georges se font sentir dans tous les domaines. En tant qu’hôte dans cet établissement on se sent bien entouré. L’emplacement de l’hôtel est idéal: Dans le vieux centre de Saumur niché dans une petite ruelle derrière l’Eglise St Pierre à deux pas de la place St Pierre très animée. Dans cet hôtel, c’est comme on entre dans un monde magique du moyen âge. C’est un hôtel familial, ça se ressent. Régis a pris les relais de son père Georges. Régis, le propriétaire a eu la gentillesse de me surclasser à cause de mon anniversaire. La chambre était très belle avec les meubles anciens et une salle de bain très classe. Le petit déjeuner, aimablement servi par Georges, sort de l’ordinaire. Ce repas contient des petits délices sucrés et salés et mêmes des petites surprises. Servi jusqu’à 10h30, bien apprécié par les hiboux de la nuit. Le Château de Saumur est très proche de l’hôtel. Comme un vrai château de conte de fée, il se dresse au-dessus de Saumur, et de certaines chambres il y a une superbe vue vers le château. L’Abbaye de Fontevraud, le demeure des moniales depuis des siècles, est à 15 km de Saumur.

J’ai adoré mon séjour à l’hôtel Saint Pierre Boutique- Hôtel. J’ai prolongé de deux nuits supplémentaires, et j’ai décidé de revenir pour le marché de Noël.

Our room was absolutely wonderful, with a little Juliet balcony overlooking the eglise. Although we arrived rather early, we were warmly welcomed and offered a drink, on a very hot day. The manager was friendly and very helpful. Aside from the room, I would also recommend the breakfast which was absolutely delicious and made up entirely of local produce. I would definitely stay here again the next time we visit Saumur.

If you’re in Saumur centre then this is a hidden gem must stay. Really thoughtfully designed with an incredible eye for detail…everywhere you look has personality. Absolutely reflected in service and customer care. Regis is the perfect host. Breakfast was astonishing, even for the most considered tastes - bio everything available and very plentiful and delicious. We will be back, thank you!

It is amazing! Glorious! The owner who designed this property has an exquisite eye for beauty - putting together the old and the new in a dazzling way. Our room was beautiful and comfortable and interesting. The owner was kind and cheerful and accommodating. The breakfast we had was the best I have had in France. Crunch croissants, an amazing baked apple, fantastic cheeses and more. Not a place to miss.
