We got to the hotel free parking went inside were greeted with a smile and helpful information about the hotel and who the staff were and introduced to them showed to our rooms and helped with our suitcases told there was drinks downstairs at the bar if we wanted them and would be food leter for us to choose from.Tea and coffee available at no cost we all had a wonderful 3 day we will definitely be going back made some great friends Fantastic.

The jewel in the crown is Phil, along with Nigel. I booked because the reviews praised the staff and I saw why. Absolutely nothing is too much for them to try and sort out.

There was nothing not to like. Observations were that the rooms could do with updating/decorating. I'm certain the owners know all this, but money doesn't grow on trees so they work hard with what they have.

Everything, loved every minute, breakfast exceptional, Phil, fantastic host nothing to much trouble for him, this is the second time we have stayed here this year and going back again in November

Bathroom not very clean

The staff Phil, Gary and nigel are lovely people, friendly, inviting and I felt welcome from the moment I arrived, I would stay here again, ideal location for the piers, clean sheets and towels condiments and shower gels and soap s provided... to be fair with the staff attitude towards customer service I quite enjoyed my stay

Some of the facilities didnt work but there was always someone in site with a workaround to hand, just ask

Me and my partner had a great time and the staff always went above and beyond for us. Would recommend staying here and we will be going back.

The location of the hotel was perfect. The hosts were brilliant and catered for all your needs going above and beyond. The breakfast was delicious. Friendly relaxed atmosphere really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely book again.

Are room was above the kitchen so from 6am you could hear everything you could hear the water running from the kitchen an plate's clanging

Our room was a little dated the toilet/shower area was very narrow and very little room to get round and the shower door didn’t open much again making it difficult to get into the shower.

Phil and the rest of his staff delivered excellent service above and beyond. We were able to check in earlier than expected. It was great to have a night cap after returning from an evening out. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent and cooked to order. Great checkout time- 11am.

Maybe a little spruce up for the room decor. Looked a little tired. A bedside lamp would be nice for a little night time reading

The staff were absolutely lovely. Phil and the team were so helpful and kind and that's what made this hotel so nice.

There is no lift, but that's not the end of the world

The room was small and only one person could watch the tele, the pillows may as well have not been there, the cups were dirty. There was kids running round the halls screaming and could hear the people next door all night

We booked a family room as there were no twins available. We were give a double room which we could have dealt with. However it was dirty, curtain hanging off the pole, cups had ring marks in the inside, the back of the bed had dust and paper behind it. The toilet was dirty and there was no hot water. The Manager did change us to the family room which was better but still no hot water, dirty net curtains and when I went to use the shower the rod and shower head fell off the wall. I come to Blackpool several times a year and this was the worst hotel I have stayed in.

The staff very friendly helpful and accommodating breakfast was lovely and great value when booked as bed and breakfast. Staff swapped room with no additional cost second room very spacious and more suitable for 2 people tv was larger bonus we have booked the second room which is sea view for our next stay

First room was a very small double no bedside tables difficult to get out of bed the shaving light in bathroom in both rooms didn't work tv in first room cery tiny

Breakfast was lovely. The young lady serving was very friendly she works hard does a great job 👍.

Mattress on bed a touch to soft for me as were the pillows but obviously personal preference. There needs to be couple of shelves in the bathroom to accommodate all your toiletries. Windows on outside need a good cleaning.

Great location and within a few minutes walk to central or south pier.

The Location of the Hotel was great short walk to either the Center or Pleasure Beach...in-between two piers ..many Eateries near by sit in and Take away establishments.... bar on site Beach right across the road. Free parking ..Breakfast was Cracking just what you need set you up for the day served in good time ! Room with sea view room itself was clean and everything needed for few nights stay..could do with a lick of paint. Bed was very comfy ..clean bedding Towels and Shower gel/Soap provided .Phil running the show was amazing and Couldn't of done more for us ...his work colleagues were also very polite friends and helpful. Over all value for money and will definitely chose to stay here again .

Hospitality was brilliant,,, good value for money

Really friendly owner who couldn’t do enough for us. As a female staying with my 3 year old daughter I was worried but honestly I felt so safe and could actually relax. Parking is perfect and free, he guided me where to park as to not block in a disabled guest who needed use of their car. Not on a busy part of the strip so sleeping was easy, but a close enough walk to the fun for a 3 year old. Breakfast was lovely and he didn’t charge for my daughter who only wanted a sausage and a slice of toast. So accommodating and friendly. Room was basic but that’s exactly what we paid for, double bed, ample storage, a chair and a private bathroom. Some of the reviews I read said it was dated and dirty but that isn’t true at all. Yes there’s a patterned carpet and parts could maybe do with a paint, but this isn’t a big hotel chain it’s a small family run business that so much love has went into. If you want value for money please book south beach hotel. Our next trip will be booked here too. Thank you so much for having us!

Property needs some upgrading

The hotel looked in viting we araved a about 8pm and we were weicome phil the manger told us that he had upgraded us to a better room. we dropped our bags of and off we went to have a good time, then in the morning i went for a shower to find mould and rime in the very compact shower which was filthy. the shower sink was cracked and on the floor around the sink it was very dirty with mud and rubbisubish I told phill the managerbut all he said i will look into it. NOT EVEN AS SORRY

The bar was good and very resonable

Great staff could us updating but thats blackpool for you had a great time will 100% go back to this hotel again. Was made very welcome.

Good location and the guy who checked us in were very polite and friendly.

Parking not available when we arrived plus it should state on booking.com that the hotelier charges £10.00 a night for parking outside their establishment. No bath towels in the room, so we couldn't have a shower, good job we only stopped over night.

We couldn’t get parked at the property it was full so had to find our own parking which cost us £40 for 2 days which I thought was disappointing

Sea view room was good and not far from the beach

The noise from outside the hotel at night time especially with the trams still running until about midnight or the noise off traffic on and off all night. As it was disturbing my sleep during the night.

We have stayed at the south beach hotel many times and this time is the first time we met the new host Phill even after just 3 days it was like we were old friends he couldn't do enough for you i amlooking forward to our next visit

Phil was a diamond. Position of hotel was great. The breakfast was delicious. Comfortable bed and room. Got amazing service from all the staff. Even got a hug from the lady of house. Highly recommended!!

The Manager Phil couldn't be more welcoming and helpful, a brilliant host , super clean immaculate room , best position on the prom and private parking.

Great location with lovely staff and comfortable bed, good breakfast and very reasonably priced, a problem with room rectified quickly amd without fuss

Toilet roll wasn't great quality, hair on pillowcase, hair most likely from staff making bed as pillowcase appeared clean, fresh pillowcases were provided when asked

The staff were very friendly, and helpful. Also the hotel was very quiet as well, despite its location on the Promenade. The room itself, was clean, and well furnished, with a table and chair, bedside cabinet, ensuite shower room, etc. The price of the hotel was reasonable as well, considering the facilities on offer.

There were a couple of minor issues, but there wasn't much particularly unlikeable about either the hotel, or the room itself.

The staff were exceptionally kind.

The bathroom was a little small for 4 people.
