Restaurant staff in connaught restaurant very helpful and friendly.

Price of drink, the rooms were dirty, had to buy fly spray due to one member of our group being bitten by bed bugs, staff not very helpful. Paid for Seaview room but windows so dirty couldn't see the sea.

The location and the entertainment were the best things about the stay, lots of guests had different health issues or were elderly and had a lot of trouble with the amount of steps within the building!

The whole dining experience was a nightmare, no clear management leads for the team who basically got on and did their jobs, some better than others, and the food was very poor over 4 nights there was only one meal anywhere near properly edible!

Room was very basic and dated . The first night was extremely hot and uncomfortable . Managed to get air con working on second night . The staff were great tho couldn’t fault them . Parking was an issue even though I booked a parking slot . The parking bays were too small so I was a tight squeeze getting in and out .

room location was very noisy up till midnight and pass , and was extreme up to 10 , my partner goes to bed early due to health and was unable to sleep , has mobility issues and it was very difficult for her with all the steps going to and from the room , we had to cut a break short as it became to stressful for her

Such high hopes after excellent communication pre arrival from hotel, checking in very smooth, excellent reception staff,excellent location right in middle so easy walking in both directions.

Room,small double sea view, small understatement, few inches between bed an wall so squeeze to get 1 end to other, my husband cracked his head on tv,nasty cut. Bathroom tiny,shower tiny,not enough room to shower comfortably. 1 dressing table that had to accommodate tea,coffee and making, doing hair,makeup, no stool so just perched on bed ,absolutely no room to put things,narrow wardrobe. Very tired,dated shabby room,1 chair squeezed near window. It's entertainment hotel fair enough but I wish I knew you could hear singers from 1st floor room past midnight, if I'd known I wouldn't have booked. Bar,floor staff very unprofessional when apparently we'd sat in chairs that were needed for teatime meal,not a so sorry can we just move you,we were eating at the time, but a young lady that tried setting the table around us whilst we eating just saying I need this table,needless to sat I moved away her setting an told her we were trying to eat,all I got was I know. Breakfast, on arrival they couldn't fine our table so we was just plonked down there, an left,I had to get her attention an ask how breakfasts work,help yourself, service? Very rude,unprofessional.

Room has hot and small Shower was small and fixed to the wall so it wasn’t adjustable The lift kept getting turned off and this happened once while some one was in there and they was stuck in there for an hour and this gave me anxiety about using the lift And I’m disabled and told them this before arriving so wasn’t ideal Breakfast system and style was appalling to cramped long queues for the breakfast station having some one plate up the breakfast rather than doing it your self - that would have been fine if they had enough staff And was always running out of glasses for juice , toast plates ect needed more staff and more organisation I didn’t like the fact everything was split up Drinks in once place , juice in another, waffles in a different place Then the toast and cereal section was on top of the buffet so when it busy you couldn’t move around easily

Parking was horrendous for charging £70 I had to climb over the passenger seat to get to the driving seat when said to staff was told to park out in main road for free after already paying

Paid higher cost for sea view room and couldn’t even see out of the tiniest window as the glass was all frosted like the seals had broken. Room had a smell of wet dog Breakfast was chaos, ridiculous wait for cups and glasses £20 additional fee for parking which didn’t know about until someone from hotel rang me two days before arrival. Receptionist rude after being adamant we were only checked in for one night when booking clearly stated 2 on our booking!

Great location, staff were really helpful, I reserved a car park space but on arrival the 2 cars either side were both slightly in my space so I cancelled and parked out the front with no problem. Good variety of breakfast.

The location was good and very central on the Promenade.

The room was extremely outdated and cluttered with excessive furniture, making it feel cramped. The bathroom was very small, and the plumbing noise was unacceptable. We were kept awake each night by the sound of running water, toilet flushing, and loud pipes. The issue was reported to the Night Manager and again to Reception the following day, but it significantly impacted our stay. The food was equally disappointing. Breakfast was consistently cold, very basic, and lacked quality. Dinner was no better, with dishes served that did not match the descriptions provided on the menu. Overall, the accommodation and dining experience fell well below expectations.

Booked this hotel as wanted a hotel with a lift and no stairs as i have bad knees. Lift took us to a floor but then had 2 go down a set of stairs and back up another set of stairs just to get to our room far from ideal two or three stairs are fine but it was about 14 or 15 there were a few other patrons complaining about the stairs also

All good except we could not open the window more than one inch and we had to climb up on furniture to even open it that one tiny bit. Woke up in the night could not breath as very hot and no fresh air in the room. GIVE USA WINDOW THAT OPENS MORE THAN ONE INCH PLEASE.

As above. Window too high up and only could open it one inch after climbing up on furniture. No air flow what so ever. Some kind of lock on window so you could only open it a tiny bit. Needed fresh air but no access able Windows to open.

I love lyndene been many times but this visit it was 35 degrees n myself n my daughter n my grandson were in double bed n grandson single u cudnt swing a cat in it , was soo tiny the room n the wee window only opened so far it was awful .. we got up n wet towels to put them round us no air wat so ever but even if it wasn't hot there wasn't room for 2 adults n my 15 yr old grandson far too small

on arrival we were greeted by a lovely receptionist, big smiles, explained everything from parking the car to dining and comfort. we've stayed here before and were looking forward to our stay, The Lyndene is in a prime location and is great for all attractions..bonus point is it's location on the sea front and not far from the Tower. we had a sea view room, spotlessly clean, comfy bed, tea and coffee making facilities. breakfast was hot and plentiful, full English to cereals, fresh breads, as much tea and coffee as you want, we love staying here and hopefully will be back again soon, 10/10 to all the staff.

The comedy act on the Saturday,Darren clynes, wasn't very funny at all,only funny bit of his act was when he got two people up on stage.Been to the lyndene on numerous occasions and the acts are always good, first time seeing this guy but won't be watching him again.

Room 61 window would not close reported it straight away nothing done it was like a howling wind tunnel, and very cold. Bathroom ceiling tiles bouncing up and slamming down could not wait to get out of the room,2 nights no sleep. Taken videos to support our complaint. Shown them to reception just politely listened but not to interested..

The lift was out of order for the time we was there and we was on the 3rd floor. I struggled as I have rheumatoid arthritis and dont usually do stairs. I was limited to going out.

I liked everything the staff were very friendly and helpfull our room was ok clean and comfortable the food was lovely and plenty of choice ! Entertainment was brilliant ! We just had 1 issue about the bingo caller Tom he said didn't hear us shout so didn't pay out to us even though was stood behind him while he was checking numbers from another winner ! Thought that was unfair and disgusting he had noone listening for anyone shouting house after this incident there was somebody helping him it was too late then my disabled son was very upset about it and so was we think he needs more helpers as some people would be annoyed about what happened ! Other than that everything was ok and we have booked to return 2 times next year ! Julie at reception is very helpfull and nice

We were a last minute booking and booked a small double room and it was very small but we managed for the one night only! The food wasn't as good as I remember it being. But the lovely lady serving it was brilliant.

The beds weren't tidied which was disappointing The lifts were an absolute nightmare as the main one in reception was out of order. Two people in a lift at any one time in an hotel that size. Spent too much time waiting for the lift with my 82 year old mother having to stand waiting with her bad back. The rooms were terrible to find it was like being at York maze it terrified my mother and myself. The rooms were like saunas it was far too hot I cant imagine what it must have been like in the heatwave The breakfast tables were ridiculous with numbers on and people were arguing about which table was theirs it was ridiculous and like being in a school canteen.. I felt sorry for the staff who were working their backsides off. .Donna was sweating and looked worn out. Definitely short staffed in the restaurant in such a large hotel. The bathroom was like a shoe box and felt clostophobic couldnt breathe. A few issues Definitely need addressing ASAP

Yes the hotel is a little dated but you get what you pay for and the rooms are clean, good showers and the staff AMAZING. Included is bingo and 3 acts a night so the value for money is fantastic. The room was grubby and dirty, windows were filthy inside and out, cob webs everywhere. The quilt cover had a blood stain on it. No plug sockets near the bed. Bathroom was dirty. My son burnt himself on the hot towel rail because it is too close to the toilet. The double bed was very uncomfortable as it was two mismatched singles place vertically. A member of the breakfast staff was rude to my autistic son.

Fab stay food and entertainment second to none

Food was amazing, entertainment is great most staff are lovely, room was a bit dirty my sister pushed the bed over a bit and there was rubbish an a hairbrush from previous guests under the bed,

A nice enough small room up on the 3rd floor. Had problems in the bathroom. The floor covering didn't fit. It looks like it's been taken up and put back, with gaps all around, and it was not very professional. The hot and cold taps she couldn't turn off. They were running all the time. Apart from that, the room was adequate. Celebrating our 55th wedding anniversary, they rang up to see if we wanted to pay for champagne in the room. If we'd been in Spain, that would have been supplied free of charge. The difference between Spain and England is culpable.
