I had a very positive impression during my stay there. The staff were genuinely kind and helpful. I would especially like to mention Kitty Zhang, who helped me several times when English proficiency and internet communication were needed. The breakfast buffet was sumptuous and the room was clean and spacious, with good room service. I also liked the location because it is close to many good restaurants and little shops. I even found a lovely antique shop nearby. It is also just a two-minute walk from Spring City, a large and luxurious shopping mall that has just about everything you could need. The busy tourist center of Kunming is about a ten minute taxi ride.

Breakfast - if that is more important to you than a room then you will like it !!!!!!! Because that is the ONLY good thing

The hotel is very old - lots of stains - I dont mean a few off marks, we are talking about whole walls with stains across. The carpet (well, I think it was carpet) is filty and worn.

Excellent services by staff. Fabulous breakfast every morning. Close to metro station. Very good value for money.

It's not the fault of the hotel, but the TV doesn't seem to support YouTube etc, which can be a disappointment for people from overseas.

The location was perfect. Surrounded with big malls. They upgraded us to Suite Rooms at free of cost. Except the door locks other things of the room are okay.

One Door Lock. One of the Door Locks was faulty and it was difficult to open that door.

The property was very clean and designed well.

Although it was a Holiday Inn the staff spoke hardly any English. I am from Hong Kong but I do not speak Putonghua. When my wife Hong Kong Alipay didn't work I asked the Hotel to refund the balance of the deposit to me by cash so that I can pay for the taxi, but the hotel sid it cannot be done. In the end we phoned our friend in Kwunming and they got a Didi for us. The front desk was totally unhelpful to assist us to solve this problem. I am disappointed with the service. As an international brand hotel, it is their business to ensure that the front desk staff can speak simple English!

Overvalued hotel , that does not deliver what it promises on its website, images .. Pretty rundown facilities, last-time renovation seems at least 20 years ago .. broken furniture , moldy bathroom .. it all needs a thorough modernisation effort to Make it update to date and priceworthy again. On the positive side : good location, you can visit Almost everything by foot.

Everything was exceptionally good: location, room size, cleanliness, staff, bed, quite literally everything was beyond expectations. Kitty was very helpful in guiding us about what to see and arranging an exceptionally good driver named Wang.

Excellent stay, superb staff service above all made the stay for us (a family using a nearby language school). They went out of their way to help us. The value for money is excellent, and the gym and pool are decent. Hotel food good, but make sure to explore Kunming city cuisine, it is amazing. Kitty Zhang and team made a huge effort to help us explore the city and region.

Not much. The pool was out of commission for one day due to cleaning. The lobby is fairly small and classic mid teens business hotel vibe.

Great location. Nice, clean hotel with some staff that can speak English. Friendly and helpful employees. Clean room and comfortable bed. Nice walk in shower. The breakfast buffett could use more choices and there was never anyone at the egg station to make eggs. Excellent value for this hotel.

We are completely satisfied with the hotel. Good rooms with comfortable beds. Good and plentiful breakfast. The hotel is well located in the city center and close to Kunming Metro or a reasonable walk to many attractions in the city center.

We stayed nine nights and they changed towels every day and sheets a little too often to live up to the sustainability goals that were on a sign in the bathroom.

Surprised to see that the room was not cleaned when we returned in the evening!

Unexpected upgrade to a suite. Thank you. Buffet breakfast was very good (except for the oatmeal), and I especially enjoyed the individually prepared omelette each morning. The Reception staff member who spoke English and assisted me in making arrangements for the departure morning's international train trip to Vientiane, Laos, was very much appreciated. Fantastic.

The 'oatmeal' was terribly watery: more milk rather than cooked oats, which is the main ingredient. The hotel's wifi reception/coverage was awful, and meant that I could not receive email or access usual websites from soon after check-in. Furthermore, there was NO, none, zero, access to TV English language news channels. At a Holiday Inn hotel, I simply EXPECT this service.

Nice hotel with a very helpful staff, rooms really are high quality, exactly what you can expect of this brand. Swimming pool was nice and is open to pretty late in the evening which is a nice plus.

The corridors and hallways smelled of cigarettes. We were hoping this wouldn’t be the case in a western brand hotel but unfortunately also here this is the case. Fortunately our room was ok.

We were upgraded to a more spacious room. The staff were kind and polite. Location of this hotel is fantastic.

The air-conditioning was centralized and we could not adjust the temperature. The room conditioning was set to 30 degree Celsius which was pretty hot. We had to turn the air-conditioning off in the middle of the night, as we started sweating. Checked with the reception but was told that it was centralized and they could not do anything about it.

Staffs are not supportive much,even I booked for airport shuttle service,they didn’t follow up that,before time I sent them reminder that they have to give me drop up on airport,they delayed but definitely they managed.

Perfect stay in beautiful suite! Nice restaurant with very taste buffet (for breakfast and dinner). Chris our manager did everything to make our stay comfortabel. She arranged a driver to the stone Forest, a manager to help us with the climate control, breakfast boxes because early check-out. We even got a farewell gift. Walking distance to metro.

What a great stay! We received a fantastic upgrade to a corner one-bedroom suite and the room had every comfort you could possibly imagine. The hotel is well located and the staff are absolutely lovely. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel or to stay again should we ever return to Kunming.
