The location was on the edge of town with easy excess to the beach and a short walk into town.
At times it was noisy in the mornings. But everything else was great.
breakfast bar facilities
a lift would have been welcome as perhaps too many stairs
Mooie ligging.. Acceptabele kamer.prima voor een nacht.
Het hele hotel kan wat 'liefde' gebruiken. Gordijmen in de bar zijn totaal versleten. Badkamer is behoorlijk gedateerd.
Location
She is a bit dated now and needs some TLC
All of it
Nothing
Location and the staff were great.
Bed, Matress was far too hard, requested a topper (not available), told they would put an extra quilt on top of the Matress (not done). Flys when eating in the bar were everywhere, even barman commented. Wasn’t informed when booking that the hotel was hosting a large golf tournament during our stay! Bar was packed every night (no seats) and the restaurant wasn’t available.
Both good
Everything. Its clean, food is lovely and fresh, staff are amazing
No lift to upper floors
Lovely location
Welcoming, helpful staff. A clean comfortable room with a great sea view and a delicious breakfast.
Nothing
Bedroom and bathroom. Bar, entrance lobby. Bar menu. Wooden Panelling Car park big enough.
Some of the door hinges squeaked.
Large comfortable room and very comfortable bed. Exceptional views .
Nothing
Friendly staff, good location
Uncomfortable beds, too hard. Outdated
Very clean and tidy in a great location.
The noise of the kitchen staff from 0540 in the morning directly below the room I was in. Plenty of signage for the guests to keep the noise down but clearly that does not include the staff. The staff were lovely just noisy.
Location was ok
Staff were not overly friendly. Breakfast was poor. And although the room was clean it had an over bearing smell of bleach Also the room was expensive for what you actually received
Situation with lovely views Friendly and helpful staff
Clearing and cleaning of tables in the bar/food area could be better, as some of the tables were sticky and dirty.
Location! (great for golf). Food, plentiful Staff, excellent, really friendly & helpful
A little "tired", but clean & excellent value
Rooms were modern, clean & very nice. Well stocked on tea/coffee also. Definitely had an upgrade since I last stayed over a year back. Good bar & bar food. Golf course in good condition.
Real mixed bag tbh. Some staff very pleasant & helpful. Others with a don't bother me attitude. Breakfast began at 7am according to the menu, , we got down at 7.10 but saw no staff for around 10mins. Breakfast was limited in choice but very good.
Everything the Room, the staff & the food was all brilliant
Nothing
IT was very clean, the bedroom large, very comfortable x
Location wasn't too far from the town
Being woken up by the sound of the housekeeping staff banging around before check out time on a Sunday. Would have quite liked a nice lie in before checking out. The TV didn't work, so I had to chase it to get it fixed. The bathroom was very outdated, for the money you're paying you'd expect them to keep it up with the times.
The friendliest of the staff , the location was perfect. The breakfast was great everything you could want and plenty of it. Our room was very clean and accessible the staff made sure I had a shower as I am unable to get in out of a bath.
Only one thing that worried me was the steps in and out of the property quite steep but being an old style building it would not have been considered when it was built . It stands proud in its location
Excellent service. Very helpful staff. Very welcoming.
To many stairs.! Not very good for people with mobility issues.!
The room was comfy, and the view was lovely to look at. The hosts were very polite and welcoming.
Wasn't much I didn't like just 1 thing there was no sweetners only sugar so had to supply my own
Great location
Nothing
It leads straight on to the beach, which was good for children
Nothing
The food was excellent . The sea view room was lovely . The location is very good its very secluded and quiet but not far from any kind of buzzy you want .
The location is excellent. Access to the beach was very good. The bar was good with plenty of comfortable seats and tables. Dining area tolerable. The English breakfast was very good. Bar staff were generally accommodating. Ample parking at rear. Charging points for electric vehicles; not sure of pricing. Disabled access available and ramp but have to ring bell.
Over priced by far. Some steepish steps at main entrance and rear. Small room. No net curtains in our room on ground floor, so no privacy in room during day (neighbours could look into room). Cooking fumes entering room on occasion (room near kitchen outlet). Timber floors so sound carries between floors. Noisy family had room above so rough second night. It was like a room full of caged elephants over. Staff accommodating when asked but some generally nonchalant. Double glazing appears old and timber surrounds rotting in places. Furniture is tired looking. Usual loud music in bar and dining area. Disability provisions minimal. No disabled parking bays although there is some provision near entrance if not taken by other guests.
Breakfast excellent choice location good as close to seafront and town
Hotel very good but could do with a bit of tender care ie curtains very shabby in bar area and chairs could do with a uplift
Clean , plenty of room , nice bar
Na
Breakfast was buffa was nice .. location was good but need car .. looks nice but wouldnt stay again no lift and no help with luggage to rooms to many stairs no good if u older..
Staff could be a bit more polite. Its for golfers really i know
Lovely breakfast, good location for access to the beach.
Lovely view Staff were nice and attentive Quiet Plenty of plug sockets Free WiFi Clean bedding & towels
Lack of tv channels on the TV Breakfast was buffet style but we went down at 9 and the tables were not clean and set for next customers. The hot food on offer looked unappealing and like it had been there longer than it should have, and that showed when eating it too. The price of the room was for a Seaview which yes we did get but when the price is reflected the same price as a seaview room with a big corner bay windowed room I think the price on reflection isn't fair. No small fridge No mirror above the dressing table Shower broken No lock on the bathroom door Just looks run down inside & out
Food was nice , good location
The room we stayed in, would only stay in the future but in a larger room. Agreed the only option was a small double, incredibly small with the bed up against the wall. For myself too claustrophobic, also difficult to get in and out of bed during the night. Bar needed stocking up regular as kept running out of drinks we were drinking.
The staff were so friendly and welcoming , the grounds and the hotel were lovely and the rooms were immaculate .
Nothing
It’s location
Breakfast and the rooms were dated
Everthing, very welcoming carnt wait to go back
Staff were very friendly and helpful on arrival, quiet location and close access to the beach. Good filling breakfast in the morning
Whilst room was tidy and clean the bathroom definitely needed some work, a very obvious smell of damp when you opened the door and with the heating left on in there I can only assume to try and dry it out, black patches showing on the ceiling also presumably due to damp or water issue going on in there.
Good location
Breakfast was sparse & not well cooked. Staff chatting to each other & not attentive. Room was very basic for the money.
The hotel was close to beach and the access path was ideal fir a good walk after dinner. Our room had a great view out to the sea. Breakfast was lovely staff very helpful.
The hotel needs a freshen up the electrical fittings are a bit outdated. Other than that we didn't have any complaints
Dinner was exceptional. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. Thank you all. Had such a good nights sleep missed breakfast.
The stairs to and from the rooms. But this is an old building and built on a hill so if you have motobility issues be aware.
Beautiful location, large and spacious feel and spotlessly clean

Comfy beds
Location, easy to find, great bar and restaurant, superb breakfast

Very nice enviroment and location.
Very nice and helpful staff.
Staff were helpful. Bar service & food were good. Location & parking are excellent.
Our room, a small double, was tiny & over-priced despite the discount I received from Booking.com. I think it must have been designed as a single but with a double bed. The bed was pushed up to the wall on one side so there was no bedside table or bedside light for that guest to use. Getting in or out meant climbing over my partner or getting out at the bottom of the bed- not ideal. It was very over-priced at £130 or £145 without your discount. Glad we were only staying one night!
Cant beat a nice greasy fry up , was plenty to choose from
All round excellent hotel with really good staff
Nothing
Clean, great views
Bed was hard,
Just a lovely hotel in a great spot 👌
Nothing at all 100% will use this hotel again 😁😁
Great position next to the beach.
Had caricature.
Lovely food and staff
Beds hard Room wasn't as clean as it should be Dust around mirrors and TV Being a professional cleaner myself I no what should be expected.
Excellent staff; good value
A little tired looking in places
Lovely location. Great staff. Lovely to have the restaurant on site who also did gluten free meals.
Nothing.
Nice quiet hotel tht even though decor was dated had a charm about it. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was buffet style and was hot and cooked well. Staff were attentive and helpful. Evening meal was underwhelming.
The pictures on the website are nothing like the hotel in reality. It is very run down and in need of a complete refurb. It looks like a gentleman’s club from the 1970’s. We certainly did not feel welcome as a family with children. And although close to the sea, there is a large car park between hotel and beach which ‘car enthusiasts’ used every night between midnight and 3am to race up and down the road and car park. There were deliveries from 7am and even though they advertise as a relaxing peaceful hotel, it is very much the opposite. The M25 service station would have been quieter! However, the reception staff and the bar staff were outstanding and excellent at their job. They need a pay rise!
Suzanne was a breakfast server on our final morning who was incredibly rude and was actually borderline obnoxious. We actually left 4 hours early because of how rude she was. She obviously did not want us in the restaurant whilst the golfing guests were having breakfast. Other staff at the time were happy to give her name so I don’t think this was an isolated incident. There was a large party of older gentleman on a golfing holiday who completely ruined our stay. They were drunk, loud, they smoked in the bar even when bar staff asked them to stop - they were given verbal abuse for stepping in! The rooms were extremely dated and to charge for sea views when the car park is huge and all the morning golfers congregated there at 6.30am every morning isn’t acceptable. It was extremely disruptive and not at all relaxing
Loved the service from the friendly bar staff and the lovely staff member doing the breakfasts.
Absolutely loved this place! I took my autistic son who’s none verbal and the staff was absolutely amazing with him! At breakfast he was jumping around and they were completely understanding with him. The room was brilliant, he had his own proper bed not a sofa bed or a camping bed, will 1000% be back!
Rooms are clean and functional, lovely views, breakfast very nice.
Everything is fine.
Great beach location
A little noisy from footsteps in room above
Breakfast very good, staff excellent
Nothing
Great location near to beach , lovely food , great staff perfect cleanliness.
Room was very small, bigger rooms are available at a higher price.
Lovely quiet location just outside of skegness town , in an upmarket residential area with the beach on the the doorstep. This wonderful classic hotel is a little gem. Buzzy atmosphere with golfers and a few families /couples .Good selection of rooms, although cheaper rooms are very small., the cleanliness is a credit to the staff. Had the best nights sleep, comfortable beds and very quiet. The food in the bar is home cooked tasty and reasonably priced.Breakfast was lovely, staff work so hard to give excellent sevice . Be aware there is no lift but ground floor rooms are available. well done to all, will return for sure.
We have stayed at the hotel 3 times now and the staff are fantastic- friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic right on the beach front. Good breakfast and restaurant food. Food comes out hot and quickly.
The beds this time were uncomfortable and hard resulting in a bad back and neck. No fridge in rooms so not ideal when visiting in the summer months. The whole hotel would benefit from a revamp.
Everything third visit for our Anniversary now great staff friendly clean well presented hotel
There was nothing to dislike
been going for golf stay for the last 5 or 6 years and the staff in hotel were usual self . excellent. they always go out of their way to help. aready booked for next year.
Came here for a few days for our Anniversary for the 3rd time fantastic hotel clean rooms great staff as always good selection of drinks and food 1 minute from beach we love this place
Bailey coffee
Our room, 114, which had been changed from room 110. The room we were in was near where the golf shop is and the golfers every morning around 6am would be chatting and getting there clubs ready, or the gardener was using a leaf blower, could not change rooms as a wedding was on.
The staff were friendly, the hotel was comfortable, breakfast was excellent
There wasn't really anything not to like, the communal areas were a bit dated
Excellent service, best place
Nope
Excellent location, right on the beach. Very good breakfast too.
Location , free parking
my room
Easy car parking, great location
Everything was fine
Location near the beach friendly staff breakfast was great
The location
Our room was close to an exit door & road, so was a bit noisy. Apart from that it was fine
We stayed in room 114, sea view. Not a good room. As it is close to the golf shop and golf buggies all golfers below our window at 6am every morning waking us up, as a wedding was also on the same weekend so we could not change rooms. After complaining we were refused any compensation. After a 4 hour drive there and back we are shattered. No a great hotel
Breakfast lovely! It was hot but the fan in the room was a god send!
Position, staff, quality of food and drinks
Room extremely small, dark and not suitable for me with physical difficulties despite asking for low level Expensive for size of room and position - no window assessable
Breakfast location
The room was appalling far to small for 2 adults coffee and tea in steel flasks
The good things first the staff were super polite and very friendly and helpful breakfast was very nice and hot and a good choice but hot drinks from 2 flasks I expected better the hotel is a beautiful building and has stunning views of both the golf course and the beach and sea the bad things first £284 for a room that was not even big enough for one person not two.The windows were that small they were neither use or ornament looking straight at the gable wall the room was so small only one of us could get changed at a time. The noise from the function room sounded like the DJ was next to me in the room I was very concerned on the safety should we need to escape for a emergency I don’t mind paying but the price for this room was expensive to say the least
Lovely hotel with half links, half parkland golf course with separate putting green and pro shop onsite too, right next to the beach, easy reach of Skegness itself by walking or car. Amazing views of the golf course and coast. A lovely relaxing weekend away, great staff, cleanliness and value for money. Our room had a great view over the golf course with a lovely big arched window view, great bathroom with a shower. Good sized bed. wardrobe area and dressing table. At the top of the stairs there was a balcony area for sitting out on for having food or just drinks at. We eat in the bar most evening as they did proper homemade food with good portion sizes and good value for money. Bar staff friendly and helpful and the bar was well stocked. There was also a restaurant too, but we were enjoying watching the golfers whilst we were having our meal. Good area if you were needing a place for a special occasion with accommodation. Good sized car park and an outside area for weddings and sitting out with a drink.
Najbardzien to to ze jest bardzo blisko plaza
Everything
Nothing
A large property with its own golf course on site .Friendly staff .Has its own restaurant and bar which were reasonably priced
Nothing at all
Location excellent for us as we had people we know staying at the holiday park 0.4 mls away Quiet beech location
Nothing I can think of
Great location, right next to the beach and 15 minute walk to Skegness Pier. Hotel was a little quiet at night but staff were very friendly and chatty. Had a double room with bath and all the comforts of home. Good choice of food and drinks. Buffet breakfast was really good. Didn't hear a thing whilst sleeping. If you like golf you are only a few steps away from the course!
Clean rooms friendly staff
Building is in serious need of renovation. Room very hot at night
We have stayed at the north shore hotel many times, and found it comfortable and clean
I booked through booking.com when I booked it stated including breakfast, when we arrived I was told I'd booked only room only. On checking booking.com it was still showing including breakfast, apparently I hadn't clicked on this request. It wasn't made obvious, this was needed on the booking.com process. I did complain to the hotel but they would not budge, saying I should have requested breakfastwhen booking. Very disappointed with the hotels response, it was my husband's birthday treat this unfortunately angered the experience of going away for a treat. I will think twice about visiting the hotel again, purely caused by their customers service.
Me, my partner and our baby that just turned one decided to stay at the hotel because we see it was close to the beach (within walking distance) Upon arrival the we noticed it’s quite a few steps and steep for a pushchair so I went up alone to check ourselves in. We stayed in the lodge suite and was advised by the receptionist it would be easier if we walking down at the front of the premises so we didn’t have to carry our bags too far which at the time seemed helpful enough, so we went over got sorted and went up to grab some dinner inside. Atmosphere was quite strange, I could tell nobody wanted a child inside which made us feel a little uncomfortable and rushed eating so we didn’t really get to enjoy it from the inside much although it looked half clean was quite a bit of clutter everywhere. We decided not to eat inside for dinner due to our first experience I would rather not feel like we’re out of place so we went out for tea which was absolutely delicious at The View. We come back the football was on so I nipped up to get myself a couple beers, took them back to the room went up multiple times to get some drinks and soft drinks for my partner. The room was clean and even the kettle seemed very clean as we needed it for the babies bottles which was good. Next day we got up and all went to breakfast which wasn’t too bad, not brilliant I had to wait 15-20 minutes just for the eggs to be refilled by this time my partner had eaten and so had the baby. We all went back down to our room and as we’ve came by our car we’ve noticed quite clearly somebody had hit our windscreen with a golf ball the same morning and completely shattered it there was glass on the front seats, glass all over the babies bag and some of his clothes that was on the front seat which we had to throw away, I nipped up to the front desk to filled a form out and have a word about what can be done and I was told everything will be fine it will get sorted.
Didn’t like the fact we was made to feel like outsiders while eating our lunches Wasn’t overly keen on the cleanliness of the hotel (cutlery wasn’t too clean and tables were soaked from drinks) although the room was clean
The location next to the beach was perfect. The hotel was clean and so was the room. The food was good. Maybe put a more on the children menu. The staff were friendly and helpful especially the guys in the bar they were really good to my 7 year old grandson. Nothing was too much trouble. I would stay again and woukd recommend this hotel to anybody. Its a very peaceful and relaxing place to stay

Take some pictures and the invoice for the work etc and it will get reimbursed… A week goes by had no email or communication whatsoever so I sent a polite email asking for any help or information on what’s going on, 2 weeks later totally been blanked but they managed to spam my email with please leave us a review emails, so here it is. it’s now been 3 weeks and I’ve had no contact from the hotel or their “finance team” I spent around 2-300 pound in this establishment included the room for the night and then forked out for the windscreen which total staying here cost me almost £500 just for a single night and definitely not happy about it. Just the unprofessionalism of having no response on the matter and being blatantly blanked providing a complete disregard for their guests that had spend £300 there. Honestly if you’re thinking of staying here I probably would avoid it.. was speaking to another guest before leaving as they see our car and they was completely gobsmacked by the damage the ball had done and went on to say believe it or not their experience had been just as bad. I definitely wouldn’t be coming back here, I’d rather go sleep on a bench.
Lovely location. Access to the beach. Nice feel about it. Clean room nicely presented.
Bed was a bit firm. Food was average.
Enjoyable stay with friends. Used the hotel as a base to play golf elsewhere too in Lincs. Food fine and staff friendly and helpful. Course itself had clearly suffered with the recent drought but enjoyed the ‘Braid’ experience nonetheless
Great staff all were very attentive. Loved the fish and chips. Very nice breakfast.
Great two night break staying in a spotless clean room, friendly staff and a good choice of breakfast . A mini fridge and a mirror over the dressing table only personal preference but would make it perfect .
