The Savoy

The hotel is in the perfect location and central to Skegness sea front and activities.

The room we stayed in had a shower with really low pressure which although wasn’t a huge issue as we wasn’t washing our hair and having a quick body shower but for the amount the rooms cost you’d expect a decent shower. The property charges additional for parking spaces which involve being blocked in and having to leave your car at the property. The spaces are small and not suitable for large cars or 4x4 which I was only made aware of after my booking which wasn’t helpful as I had a large family car which wouldn’t fit in the spaces. With the additional charges for parking you can get other hotels which include parking already for the same price or less so worth considering before you book.

The location cannot be bettered. The breakfasts were very good. The selection of food on offer was 10 out of 10.

The only thing that marred our stay was the people who came in at 4 o clock in the morning making terrible noise. We thought they were ransacking the place as the noise was so loud but we knew this was not the fault of the hotel so didn’t say any thing.

Location was ideal for being close to the beach. The hotel was not too close to the bars and pubs so it wasn't noisy.

The bed was very comfy and good location for the hotel.

Pleasantly surprised. Lovely staff, comfortable bed, lovely soft towels, very accommodating. Nice seating area downstairs with pool table. Fantastic location on the seafront. Great facilities in the room such as drinks and hairdryer.

The lift was extremely small. My room was adjacent to the lift and the rooms are not sound proof so unfortunately you could hear everyone coming and going. Not enough parking for guests. Shower was not powerful.

House keeping could of done with more attention in rooms ie neater bed making clean bedding not just remaking a bed someone had already slept in the night beforehand. Blood stained found on beding that my 3 year old was going to sleep in . Took pictures shown staff at front desk and he brought up fresh bedding that (I made my self ) towels had blood mark too . Bathroom was not very clean marks on taps where they had not been cleaned and Bathroom mirror had marks too dirt round bottom of toilet and sink cupboard was very dirty . At night it was very noisy from other guests . I work in a hotel in house keeping so I know what am looking for and know when a room and bed has been done or made . Car parking very tight The young lad at desk was very helpful but would of been nice for owner or manager to come and chat and apologise and see what his house keeping are doing to his rooms . All we got was free parking Sadly we will not be returning

Good size for a single room, queen size bed + single bed. A bit crowded for a single use. The situation of the hotel is very good.

Near to where we wanted to be. Very noisy from the road. Reported lightbulbs not working, nothing was done about it during our stay.

Could not believe our bed was not made. We have stayed in hundreds of hotels through the years and never not had our bed made especially at the price of £135 per night plus breakfast of £10 per person.

All went extremely well, very pleased overall.

The only issue we had was not with the hotel itself but with other guests, 2am in the morning, children and adults in the room above were running around shouting laughing and making a lot of noise which obviously caused a sleepless night for all 4 of us.

The room was tiny but the bathroom even smaller, the shower was too small .. anyone over a certain height or weight wouldn't of been able to shower properly! The bed was hard and the noise outside kept us awake. There are no disabled facilities, the lift only goes to the second floor and we were on the third ! I understand because of the building structure it wouldn't go higher but a stannah lift on the other flight of stairs would of helped immensely. Alot of door banging by guests late at night. Some areas need upgrading.

Ideal location for why we were in Skegness, clean, comfortable beds, good breakfast, nice atmosphere.

When i booked the room i always book rooms advertised with showers, we travelled nearly 4 hours to Skegness, I received a message a couple of hours before we checked in to say that the room we gad been given did not have a shower, not ideal.

Bathroom was beautifully tiled and contained a bath with shower, however the shower could do with an upgrade as it was a struggle getting the temperature right due to having to mix the bath taps.

I had a fab stay at the Savoy, friendly staff, room was excellent and I slept really well. The location was perfect being close to the beach and the town centre. I'm an old Skeggy boy so knew the local area for parking which was a few streets away. I did have breakfast which was also excellent.

The staff were so helpful and friendly, notjing was a problem. Location was pefect and the breakfasts were very good value and nicely cooked. It was my wifes birthday and I had asked for flowers and a bottle of prosecco on arrival. These were provided and were lovely and at a reasonable price.

There was nothing we did not like at all. And there was nothing they can physically do about the 2 comments I have. The car park spaces were a bit small. Disbled people should be aware if you cannot transition and walk a few paces this would not be suitable

From the moment I walked through the door to the reception I felt like ‘one of the family’ The room was exceptionally clean and, furnished just right so, didn’t feel cluttered. It also had the bonus of a bath! Ideal for my disability as I cannot stand long enough under a shower. I ordered breakfast which, was delicious. I received just what I asked for. There was the bonus of outside seating, with tables under a covered area. Well done..When in Skegness next I will definitely be booking the Savoy again!

Great location, very nice staff, breakfast on two mornings was excellent, couldn’t fault it. It’s of an era of hotels by the seaside in the Skegness but to be fair, I loved it for that! It was a really lovely trip down memory lane, complete with evening entertainment that you’d need to expire and form your own opinions. Personally, I enjoyed it for what it was :) Bed was very comfy and I appreciated the free upgrade from a single room - thank you! Biggest acknowledgment goes to the very lovely bar man who was alert to any issues when I was hit on by another guest and he was very astute to offer appropriate support! This is a positive comment on a seaside hotel where staff might not be so well versed so it was appreciated. Thank you for a really lovely stay as I revisited my Skegness childhood!

Location is the best, right on the seat front, it's in good state of repair and it's clean and comfortable, staff extremely friendly and helpful, rooms are good and it's a great stay.

Because we were the last room on the 3rd floor the water pressure was poor both in the shower and the toilet but the hotel was full occupancy and you needed to use facilities on off peak times but did not affect our stay as I've said we will be back ! Very pleasant staff 👌

Everything was ok apart from we felt uncomfortable with travellers been onsite and someone knocking on our door loud telling us to be quiet when we hadn't even been making noise. Due to this happening we have made the decision of not returning in the near future very sad but the travellers was very of putting

The shower was a dribble at best. The water was a problem. The TV didn’t work very well and it was at the side of the bed high up - a terrible place to put a TV. To be fair we didn’t complain but they must have known about the water and the tv and nothing had been done.
