Mount Grace Hotel & Spa

We enjoyed a fully refurnished room in a quiet spot overlooking the bush (near the hot pool). The decor in the entire hotel is amazing. The staff are very professional and friendly. The gardens are exceptional. Beautiful old trees and shrubs (with tree plates for our info.) The views of the area are stunning. There are lots of paths to explore and quiet spots for contemplation. The Spa Day was an absolute highlight. Jacuzzi, Salt Floating Pool, Steam Room and excellent massages. The breakfasts are stunning - buffet and hot orders. The dinner offering is very lovely. We had the burgers, fish and chicken options over the stay.

They are obviously renovating at the moment so there is a little bit of builders noise which can't be helped. Plenty of quiet spots though. Watch out for the monkeys so close your windows during the day. They stole our fruit which we found quite funny.

The facilities and the service are superior quality and the rooms are being updated and spacious. The location is heavenly and the breakfast delicious. The spa treatment was perfect!

There was noise during the day but it was because of the construction work. Booking.com should be transparent when the room advertised is not upgraded. It is disappointing to fetch there and your room doesn't match the pics.

Our room experienced electrical issues. The TV didn't work (no signal) at all and the beautiful bath was cracked so we couldn't utilize it. Found the evening buffet lacking for the money we spent.

The Kids centre was under renovations and the kids pool was unavailable. The weather did not accommodate the use of the outdoor pools. There were also electricity outages due to faulty cables which was not great.

Mount Grace is very beautiful but they were in the middle of a major renovation and did not disclose this when booking. Many staff members made up for this as they were outstanding!

A wonderfully newly upgraded accommodation in a gorgeous location. Great food and service.

Newly refurbished apartment was in the middle of a construction site so no bush peace experience. No privacy in the heated outdoor pool because of construction workers viewing and shouting. To ensure guests have the optimum experience, rather relocate them to apartments in the quieter part of the property which are equally as lovely.

Our experience was outstanding. Barring a slight glitch with the availability of our room at 14h00 the Mount Grace experience certainly lived up to expectation. The staff were attentive; the room was amazing and the ambience of the hotel matched expectation.

There are renovations taking place, so it gets a little noisy after 8am. Hopefully a short lived issue.

The rooms were freshly painted, it was really unbearable and we fell sick. It was very irresponsible for the hotel to place guest on a freshly painted room. The Spa rooms are very old, they need to renovate them

Hotel had renovating happening inside the hotel property which was very annoying I arrived on Saturday afternoon for a nice break but the noise was alot with builders speaking loudly and banging, not good at all. Working around while you are trying to lay at the pool, felt strange Then I find out that the heated pool I really went to the hotel for was not operational, very frustrating to say the least I would not have booked had I know there were renovations happening at the hotel, and this was not communicated when I booked making this very unfair Dinner was mediocre at most, not the way it used to be There was a big cockroach in my bathroom.

The shower drain was blocked. We reported it and was informed that it had been attended to. Nothing was done and having to shower with a blocked drain was unpleasant and inconvenient and really put a dampener on our stay. Food in the restaurants are terribly overpriced and for tourists.

Spa facilities were lovely and the breakfast buffet had a wide variety of good quality food. The hotel is currently being refurbished so we were given an upgraded room, away from construction noise, which gesture was well received.

Dinner did not meet expectations. Staff were still in training, so some dishes that we ordered were incomplete and/or not well prepared. The menu was à la carte and for the cost, we expected the dishes to be "top notch".

Amanda saved the experience for us by upgrading us, speaking to the chef to make us a fish option ect. The spa therapist was nice and sweet.

Dont recommend anyone to go in winter unless you have a private plunge pool. The communal pools are freezing. Only one restaurant was open and they tried to force the buffet on us. Our refurbished room was dirty and the door was broken. We had called ahead to ask if the pools were hot enough to use in winter, they had confirmed this more than once. We had also called ahead and been told they had many restaurants and halal friendly options but there were none and room service said they dont do halal friendly. but definitely would not recommend unless you have 8k to spend on the villa per night. The spa closes at 20:00 and they only had 2 therapists for the long weekend. The spa staff are not very accommodating. The staff at breakfast were horrifying. Kept telling me if they give me water I'll have to pay for it ( we paid a fortune to stay at the hotel, we are capable of paying for some water). Refused to wipe down our dirty table at breakfast. Unless the establishment ups its entertainment and service game really fast, I doubt they'll stay open for much longer.

There was no internet my whole stay, No TV, No Phone and the short route steps down to the restaurant and pool area from chalet 198 were extremely dangerous with loose bricks falling off the edge of several steps that could easily have a quick fix with a couple of trowels of cement. These were not ongoing construction related but maintenance, health and safety issues. These could cause a huge injury and court case for your facility which no one would want.

very noisy there was construction noise the entire stay and this was not mentioned when I booked for my honeymoon stay. very unpleasant. For the amount I paid I don't believe that I got value. The property should have communicated this to me upfront before I booked! At night there were Hassie's making a noise the entire night disturbed our sleep. again, for what I paid I feel like I have been ripped off!!!

There was construction directly opposite our room so Friday and Monday was noisy and dusty. Surely rooms should have been allocated a distance away especially since the hotel was not full. We ordered oxtail on Sunday for dinner only to be told that the oxtail at 7pm was still cooking. The staff member on sunday dinner was not welcoming or friendly which was a total difference to the rest of the experience to the rest of the staff that we dealt with. For dinner i ordered the Atlantic sole which was delicious served with a super salty sauce that was totally inedible. When I complained about the saltiness they were unable to provide the sauce as per the menu and substituted this for a lemon butter. Not acceptable at all. The spa definitely has trainee staff operating. Twice my therapist left the room, with the second time being an extended duration yet the treatment was completed as per the booking so you are getting less for your money. The massage was not the best experience. We do a trip once a year and have always loved the spa so quite a disappointment to have a less than experience. So sad since the Spa has always been a drawing card for me.

Fine dining my butter fish main had to be sent back as it was cold. Management staff very attentive but waitrons hesitant & lack confidence .. Hour & hour & half treatments were wonderful but half hour pedi & back massage disappointing.

Junior staff need to be more confident & kitchen service quicker.

Breakfast and dinner were exceptionally great and there was variety from the menu which was appreciated. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant could do with better ways to keep the guests warm.

The construction during our stay was really an inconvenience and not appreciated, as we were not made aware of it until we arrived for check in. We did not get the chance to enjoy being outside due to the workers moving around. We did not use the main pool and the heated pool because the water was not clean and it was uncomfortable considering that there were grown men walking/working around that area.

Although it was temporary the construction was a bit of bummer - initially we were giving a different room right next to the construction which really was not what I expected based on the online picture, that I assumed would be the look and feel of the room/place, the room had no natural light, had a damp smell and the door was stuck due to the swelling of the wood, fortunately it was not a busy period and we were given another room which saved the stay, else It would have been a very unpleasant time.

My husband and I stayed at Mount Grace Hotel & Spa on 4–5 June 2026 and had an exceptional experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. Amanda at reception went above and beyond by arranging birthday treats in our room and a surprise dessert after dinner, which made the stay incredibly special. Restaurant staff were consistently professional and welcoming, and Deputy General Manager Aleksander was always visible, approachable, and attentive. The housekeeping team were equally helpful—special thanks to Jane, who kindly assisted us when we lost our way during a walk. The level of care and attention to detail was remarkable. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this hotel.

The menu available on Sunday evening did not correlate with the menu from the main restaurant. The breakfast the morning before was ok, not enough options for children. Would recommend the installation of a pizza oven as it may be suitable option for family stays/visits. Our room had a damp, wet smell in the carpets. We weren't told about the renovations that were taking place on the property. Some of the facilities, such as the kiddies play area was not available. The heated pool was dirty on the first day. That said, the staff were absolutely wonderful and friendly. I believe that should these changes be accommodated, this would become an ideal resort environment to visit once again.

We were placed in a room right next to the bar and restaurant area and woke up to the ambient sounds of angle grinding and construction work on Sat morning.....
