The nature beautiful

The breakfast was not great at all. Very disappointing

I didn’t like that I had to have my dinner in a bar every evening,they don’t really have interest activities

Not good value for money, electricity tripped at 2am and fixed at 9am when I enquired, had to shower in cold water.

We spent Women’s Day weekend at Valley lodge & Spa and it was everything we needed. The property is set right on the water with beautiful views and such a peaceful atmosphere. We stayed in a deluxe room and it was lovely — spacious, clean, and the bed was so comfortable. The highlight for us was seeing zebras walking around the property. It made the stay feel really special. The picnic set up and the Jacuzzi after the massage The staff were friendly and looked after us really well from check-in to check-out. Overall, it was relaxing, scenic, and such a memorable escape. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a bit of nature and comfort.

Breakfast was so good 😇🥰 and the location was a bit far than I expected though it was a nice travel seeing all those mountains 🏔️ and waterfalls was really nice.

I was so disappointed about their geyser 😭😫💔 their water 🚿 was a bit warm but went cold 🥶 as we taking a shower 🚿 it was really not nice to bath with cold water 💦 that was a very unpleasant experience😭😫💔

The bedrooms are old with old furniture, the bathrooms were disgusting

The location of the suite is by the river. The suite was well-appointed. Love the open fireplace. The staff were really friendly and helpful at all times. We like the idea that the venue was only an hour away from home.

There were no towels in the room, and we had to call reception to have them sent. It took a while .. And this was only after my partner had already stepped out of the shower when we noticed. Not good at all. The dinner was atrocious. We ordered Battered Fish and Chips... What arrived as unbattered, overcooked and tasteless. Not good at all. Very disappointed. The admin was bad. I paid for the dinner and two bottles of wine and added a generous tip. Yet on checking out, I was presented with another bill for the dinner. I produced my credit card slips from the dinner, and hopefully it will be sorted out. Sadly, for a 4-star resort, the food and the admin let them down badly.

Room was very average especially the bathroom.

Room needs refurbishing and breakfast was below average.

My aircon did not switch from cold to warm or hot on the cold nights I had reported it but despite someone coming to assist it still did not work

We liked everything about the place. The staff is very friendly, we were welcomed by Neo at Reception, she was very kind and helpful, made us feel at home🙂🙂. The restaurant staff was also very friendly, our waiter, Nyoni Zitha was excellent 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼. The buffet breakfast was to die for, we were spoiled for choice. Our room was a very clean....we will definitely come back soon🤗

The overall facilities were fantastic, the picnic was amazing. Italian picnic was extremely tasty and good quantity. Position of room 79 right at the river was perfect. Rooms was spacious and clean. Breakfast was fantastic.

Tennis courts were not in good condition. Was ok to play on one but surface is breaking up and the nets were falling apart. Some small things in the room needed some maintenance like the towel holder was loose. Some lights were flickering in the bathroom. Nothing major just general wear and tear.

Being upgraded to the next room. It had to first cleaned and properly refreshed.

The selected room was dirty (hence the upgrade): floors, glasses, bathroom, and was infested by cockroaches.

The bathroom is outdated, the tiles are old with dirt trapped on the corners, the bath mixer is leaking when u open the bath is spreads to the surrounding area. The restaurant has an old design.

The rooms are too basic for the price I paid; I’ve stayed in better rooms for less

The accommodation was pleasant. Friendliness of staff at reception and the restaurant and breakfast was good. Attending to maintenance issues that were required in one of our rooms. The spa experience was lovely.

Our experience was negatively affected by the following: a) restaurant services in terms of communication about the dining area. On the last night of our stay when we were ordering dinner we were informed by the chef that we cannot sit in the dining area since we will not be eating from the buffet and should sit at the bar and order from the bar menu which had very limited options compared to the menu that we were ordering from since arrival. b) housekeeping services were delayed on one of the days which was an inconvenience since we were returning from activities and needing the room ready for some rest.

What you see on the internet and the actual venue is not the same , the garden and the pool was so dirty couldn’t enjoy being outside

The service in the dining room was very poor. Most of the waiters did not seem to be competent with the menu and two items ordered on the menu, the waiter had to go and ask if it was available, neither were available. Had to wait an hour and a half to be served lunch when we arrived on the 31st. There seemed to a complete lack of supervision and management The website advertises a fully equipped gymnasium. This left a lot to be desired. It was filthy and the equipment certainly needed an upgrade. I believe Housekeeping was in charge of the gym. Again, a complete lack of supervision and management

It's a beautiful place, relaxing and my family loved it aswell. The food is great too.

Everything. From the location , entrance to the rooms that are badly in need of upgrade. I even upgraded to the next highest level and was still dissatisfied. The waiter was not well trained.

The place is good, I'm person who like adventures and for me staying one night didn't give time to do all those things especially hiking.

Stayed for a night I have nothing to complain or criticize.

The breakfast was excellent the other meals were not good. The spa was excellent.

The bath in the room was not in good condition. The cupboards were in very bad condition. The toilet was loose on the floor.

The spa was exceptional except that every bottle of wine or champagne wasn't available. Dinner was exceptionally disappointing! The person who I spoke to at reception regarding a cake for my friend's 60th birthday forgot about it. I had to upgrade to a better room which cost an extra R700.00.

It was nicely laid out, peaceful and quiet. Loved the Zebras and Springbucks and monkeys we saw on the property.

There was some industrial cleaning happening while we were there so we were unable to use the dining area. Our dinners were served in the bar and the lighting was not great for dining (too bright) The Spa seemed a little run down and the jacuzzi was not working but we weren’t told about that until after paying for the spa experience.

Staff - all courteous & professional. Made all processes from checking in, booking spa treatments to checking out seamless. Note worthy are Alfred at reception and Joyline at the spa

I had made specific dietary requirements which were not fully catered for - the chef did however try his best on my second night. We had patrons that misunderstood the concept of the spa for relaxation - perhaps a emphasis on the rules on arrival at the spa, even though shared during the booking process

The food was great even though limited menu and getu pricy. The new rooms are exceptional. I especially like the river view. I also like the animals roaming around, the beautiful spar. The staff were the best. They went out of the way to take care of me. I felt like a queen.

I did not really enjoy the massage that I got from.the spa. I was not ask about the pressure I preferred. I did not feel it was value gor money, but the supervisor made up for the disapointment. The property (spa) and the facilities are great.

Joyline the Spa Receptionist was lovely, friendly and very welcoming. Restaurant food was exceptional. The whole place was just lovely to experience

Didn’t get to experience as we were moved to another hotel due to the poor planning .

No communication was done regarding the accommodation of us being moved. We were send to another hotel due they poor plainning & blaming water & plumbing. Honestly this was so unprofessional - and on the day ?? This was uncalled for and unnecessary. Moving people without any consent or approval from us. And making it seem like it’s ohkay and we should be ohkay with it - disappointed with the Service we received today.

Felt a little neglected, not v clean in places, in room, inside cupboards and places could be more.clean. The lobby and reception and lounge area had a bad damp smell. One tennis court badly weathered, not safe to use.

The room was very comfortable. The breakfasts were lovely.

The smell of the carpets in the dining room while you eat. The food at the fri night buffet was very poor. The second night was a better standard. Hikes are not marked properly as the beacons are different colour's.

I love nature, so it was OK for me. I loved the river and being able to walk around the lodge.

The food was bad, our first dinner was oxtail and baby maro the were not fresh. We had running tummy the whole night. In the morning, the breakfast was Wes .. the next day supper baby chicken was old , too much spice and the kingklip was soo hard.

The food was great, the spa treatment was amazing, the staff was friendly.

The room we stayed in felt outdated, and the bathroom was especially disappointing, modernizing it would greatly enhance the overall experience of the location.

I liked the SPA a lot as well as the Dinner was excellent and the service received.

The aircon in room 36 made the room smelt like shit so we couldnt use it the whole night,the toilet seat is broken,the one basin's prop is stuck,things that should have been noticed by the maintenance staff.What piss me off,of most places is that guests are used to do quality reports and inspection reviews.I feel like sending you an Invoice for my time
