The breakfast could have been better but it's buffet style so you kind of know what to expect. My only real gripe is that the air con didn't work in our room and was just blowing hot air in. When I asked the staff if they could do anything they said it's because the air con is now set to winter mode and they can't override it. I found this odd as the air con in reception and bar area was ice cold. When I questioned this, they told me it was 2 different systems.

The pillows and mattress were too soft. Lots of traffic noise from the road behind the hotel. I had to pay extra for car parking, above the quopted proce. This is 'drip pricing' and unaceptable.

As advised on several of our stays we could bring food in to eat either in our room or downstairs in breakfast area, due to the restaurant being closed. Staff would bring plates and cutlery if required. Brought food in and queued up at reception to ask for plates etc. Person in front of us finished being seen to so asked receptionist for above and a drink at the bar, told he would serve the person queuing up BEHIND US first.....He finally finished booking them in which was not quick and then went on to get them I believe ice. Receptionist eventually came round to bar area and got my husband a drink. He had to remind him he was still waiting for plates etc. Instead of getting them receptionist then went on to get a woman who had just walked up to the bar ice. By this time we had been waiting approx 10 minutes. He did eventually go to the kitchen and came out with our plates etc only then to give one to the woman who he had just got ice for.......so we were still waiting as he chatted to the woman. He eventually walked back towards the kitchen only to then stop and talk to the manager. Meanwhile we're sat waiting, watching all this happening, dinner going cold. Absolutely shabby service. Then we were told we couldn't eat downstairs (a message from the manager via receptionist). Asked manager why and explained what we had previously been advised. Told that it was against the company policy to eat downstairs....since when? Was asked to give previous dates of stay so he could track down who had told us about eating downstairs and then reprimand them...really! We've been in reception waiting all that time dinner getting cold and you now what us to start talking dates. Told him we were not going to start finding dates of our previous stays, just wanted to eat our dinner which when we got to eat it was no longer warm. Very disappointed. We have always given good reviews but on this occasion service was very disappointing and annoying.

Being lied to before arrival - requested a room on the ground floor near an exit as I was with my dog. I received confirmation that all dog friendly rooms were on the ground floor near exits (see photograph attached). When I arrived there were no rooms on the ground floor at all and I had been placed on the first floor. Disgusting behaviour and would not revisit due to the lack of integrity.

Was able to wind down and have a drink before going to bed after the junction for the hotel on the motorway was closed. The hotel is part of an industrial park. Room itself was modern clean and of a very good standard.

there was a coach trip given priority over guest at breakfast leaving a shortage of breakfast items especially if not requiring a cooked breakfast , the staff did there best but had obviously completely run out of certain items !

the room was to cold, only one pillow, the persons cooking the breakfast probally not happy in thier job , all over cooked tough sausages, bacon rock hard, hash browns well over cooked no love in the cooking, the person collecting the dirty dishes from the tables, also not happy in his work, try smilling a bit will help.

Location is on an industrial area but if your looking for a hotel for its location for your needs then this is excellent.

However plenty entries nearby so was not really a major issue.
