The bed is so uncomfortable (backache during the stay) Some one in the reception lacks coherent communication with clients . They do not have enough information either. The animation also does not respect the planning for exp yoga sessions never taking place . The drinks during dinner were extra charged but no one told this information in the restaurant. The waiter asked if I wanted something to drink but didn't mention it with extra fees. In the checkout I was surprised by extra fees, and the receptionist insisted that she did told me about but I don't have the information otherwise I won't order anything because there are self service drink..

Хотел поставить 9 из 10, однако при выселение мне вы писали счет на лишние 150 евро примерно. Мы один раз за ужином заказали вино, а нам девочка на ресепшене насчитала и лишние обеды, и еще что-то. Короче рекомендую гостям проверять счет при выселении. Вернусь ли в эту гостиницу - маловероятно…

Ringraziamo pietro della reception per la cortesia e gentilezza e per aver provveduto a salvarci la vacanza nonostante queste piccole pecche riscontrate, grazie Pietro!!

La cucina non ha soddisfatto le nostre aspettative così come il servizio. Alle volte i camerieri apparivano stanchi e nervosi così come il mangiare spesso era solito sia a pranzo che a cena. Io da italiano devo dire che la pasta purtroppo era immangiabile, le serata italiana che hanno organizzato una sera aveva solo la bandiera di italiano. Per la pulizia delle stanze devo dire il voto è molto più basso, durante tutta la settimana non hanno mai cambiato le lenzuola, ne tantomeno gli accappatoi..

1. Очень доброжелательный персонал, большой отель, все номера с видом на море, по вечерам восхитительные закаты возле бассейна можно наблюдать, удобная огромная кровать в номере; 2. Еда - все вкусно и разнообразно, каждый день на ужин были и привычные блюда, и что-то новенькое из разных кухонь мира; 3. Парковка крытая, большая и бесплатная для гостей отеля; 4. По просьбе предоставили тапочки, а также приветственный комплимент в виде бутылки вина и фруктов; 5. Очень понравилось расположение отеля - по променаду до одного пляжа 200 метров, до другого 700 (700 может звучать страшно, но там близко); 6. В отеле каждый день устраивают разные активности, в т.ч. йога по утрам, аква-аэробика, вечером шоу разные; 7. Понравилось, что на ресепшен всегда есть сок, вода, печенье и фрукты. Идешь мимо, перехватил печеньку - мелочь, а приятно :).

1. Нам не хватило смарт тв или хотя бы доступа к ютуб; 2. Уборка в номере. Возможно из-за большого количества номеров персонал просто не успевает убирать тщательнее; 3. Платная вода на ужине.

Las zonas comunes que estaban por fuera de la habitación estaban algo abandonadas . Creo que deben buscar una solución al tema de las palomas, generan un ambiente de insalubridad porque están en muy mal estado y llegan a molestar a los clientes. Plumas por todos lados, comiendo de los platos que quedaban en las meses… da muy mal aspecto al hotel

My room was ever so slightly ‘tired’ however it was quiet which is what I had asked for. The bathroom was beautiful, very clean. I just thought the bedding was quite old but nothing major.

Sin duda, lo mejor del hotel es su ubicación. Está a poco más de 700 metros de la playa de Amadores y a unos 200 metros de la playa y el puerto de Puerto Rico. Además, desde prácticamente cualquier rincón del hotel las vistas al Atlántico son espectaculares. Y hay algo que me ha encantado especialmente: todas las habitaciones tienen vistas al mar y puedes disfrutar del atardecer desde tu propia habitación.

En cuanto a los buffets, no están mal. Hay variedad y diferentes opciones, aunque aquí tengo un par de cosas que mejoraría. La primera, que no haya una jarra de agua gratuita y que haya que pagar por el agua. Me parece algo que un hotel de estas características debería ofrecer y, además, creo que actualmente la normativa española establece la obligación de ofrecer agua no envasada de forma gratuita en determinados establecimientos de restauración. La segunda, me gustaría encontrar más verduras asadas o preparadas de forma sencilla y menos verduras con salsas. A veces, menos es más.

Az angol nyelv legalább alapszintű ismerete a pincérektől is elvárt volna. A “red wine” szavakkal is problémája volt a pincéreknek.

Positiv war der freundliche Empfang und was das Hotel alles zu bieten hatte. Zudem war der Parkplatz kostenlos und das Frühstück hat keine Wünsche offen gelassen. Der Blick aus unserem Zimmer auf das Meer war atemberaubendend und die Größe des Zimmers sowie des Bades einzigartig. Super war noch, dass man direkt vom Hotel zur Strandpromenade kam :) leider hatten wir das erst am letzten Tag herausgefunden. Das Abendprogramm haben wir nicht mitbekommen, jedoch gab es wohl an jedem Abend eine Show im Hotel. Die Massage war ebenfalls super und direkt im Hotel gibt es Möglichkeiten Souvenirs zu kaufen, sowie eine kleine Apotheke für die nötigstens Dinge. Möglichkeiten den Reisekoffer zu wiegen (gegen Gebühr von einem Euro, Stand 08/2026), viele Bars im Hotel verteilt, ob im Empfangsbereich, ganz oben im Poolbereich oder direkt am Ausgang zur Promenade. Der Check in / out verlief ebenfalls schnell und unkompliziert.

Leider war unser Zimmer anfangs nicht sauber. Die Bettdecken hatten Flecken, der Ventilator war mit einer Saubschicht bedeckt als wäre das Zimmer Monate lang als Abstellkammer genutzt worden, der Boden war fast überflutet von Wasser als wir das Zimmer bezogen und der Kühlschrank war ebenfalls total verdreckt. Die Duschkabine war ebenfalls nicht dicht, sodass wir jedes Mal beim Duschen den ganzen Boden im Bad unter Wasser hatten, hier mussten wir Handtücher auslegen und so ging es einigermaßen. Die Toilettenspülung ist uns fast entgegen gekommen. + für das Hotel: Glücklicherweise ließ sich das meiste am Anreisetag noch regeln sodass das Zimmer richtig sauber gemacht wurde.

Me resultó sorprendente no ver ningún socorrista en las piscinas. Muchos niños en la piscina de adulto donde estaba la zona nudista cuando los niños tienen su piscina y en la zona de arriba ni se podía bañar tranquilamente y relajados pues los niños se tiraban y jugando a las pelotas mientras estaba prohibido. Suelo de piscina muy peligroso resbaladizo muchas personas sobre toda mayores se callaron y allí no había nadie.

L'emplacement est incroyable et l'accès direct à la promenade est un réel plus ! La nourriture était au top. Des produits frais, vairés, de qualité. La chambre était incroyable avec une superbe vue sur mer et une baignoire balnéo sur le balcon. La salle de sport est un peu vétuste mais parfaite pour se maintenir en forme pendant le séjour. Le personnel est adorable, à l'écoute. Les piscines étaient propres avec également une vue à couper le souffle.

Dommage que l'espace Thalasso était en travaux, ça aurait était la cerise sur le gâteau lors de notre séjour.

We went over there as full board. They even charged additional money for water. 2.80 euro. Ice cream 5.80 euro. Got unpleasant shocked at the time of check out. Never again. Disgusting thing is that they will not tell you about all this expenses during the time of your stay.

Estaban de obras desde las 8 de la mañana. Terrible lo molesto que fue. No había Spa y tampoco lo ponen más económico. Eso de las obras por todos sitios. Renovaron una planta completa además de con el Spa. Deberían de cerrar y no abrir a medias. Las dos señoras del grill andaban quemando día si y día no toda la carne que servían. Lo dijimos y nadie hizo nada para mejorarlo

Tijdens het ontbijt (open buffet) Heeft een van de chefs serveer lepel laten vallen, 2 min later heeft hij het weer teruggezet op de schone schaal wat mensen ook gaan gebruiken. Ze vragen om alles fee . Zoals roomservice 18 euro per keer. Drinken waren tijdens diner niet ingegreben tereijl we 500 euro meer hebbe betaal voor half pension. Kom noooit meer terug.

Personal de recepción y algunos del bar piscina

Los operarios de la obra hacían muchísimo escándalo a primeras horas y no podíamos descansar bien, aparte del ruido de las máquinas, gritaban todo el rato y la ocupación de las hamacas desde las 07:30 de la mañana, era nefasto, habían personas que con una toalla extendida, cogían 3 hamacas. Un problema que hacía que la gente discutiera.

We have just got home from a 7 night holiday. So were do i begin i struggling as this hotel seems to have so many good reviews but we just didn't feel it maybe my expectations are higher than others who knows. I would give this hotel a 6/10. The location is lovely great access to two excellent beaches. The hotel itself if very traditional and beautifully decorated, we found the cleanliness to be really good too the maids and staff work very hard and all friendly. The rooms are spacious and clean we were in room 2010 we didn't have the best time in this room as its located right near the park and pool area which is great in the day for families but a nightmare at night time its so loud and noisy we struggled to sleep every night the nosie didn't stop until gone midnight we had teenagers running up and down and even ringing our door bell. We told reception and they said they would send security down this never happened, my husband ended up sitting outside the room just to make sure no one woke our children up. Unfortunately, I understand this isnt all the hotels fault and we cant help other people its a shame aren't as considerate as us. I know people are on holiday but teenagers screaming ringing door bells isnt acceptable and parents dont seem to care let them do whatever they want. I can see the certain type of families that come to this hotel and would think this is ok. I think this is not our type of hotel. The food is ok....its fine nothing amazing very basic warm edible. Pool again ok i would say its far too small for the size of the hotel. The lifts are a bit of a nightmare if im honest we didn't stay around the hotel pool much we love the beach but one morning it too us 9 lift to just get down to the beach front. This is a cheap and cheerful hotel you definitely get what you pay for.

For anyone reading this. During the 8 days I stayed at this hotel, I encountered good staff. Quiet environment by the ocean, close to the city center, close to two beautiful beaches, especially Amadores, a great beach. Good rooms and good bathrooms and two swimming pools, the best of all was the variety of food. It was a suitable hotel for me, who travels a lot. *** Only problem I had I booked full board and it was not included restaurant drinks and bar drinks and snacks bar food, it's just included three times restaurant food which I hope the hotel authorities changed to half board and all inclusive and remove full board. We initially booked a presidential suite at the sister hotel "The Royal," but after the first night, a Saturday, noticing the lack of atmosphere, jacuzzi no instructions for use and dials coming off, safe had to be dismantled before it would work (via engineer) food was lacking in choices, lift to ground zero from reception did not work, getting a taxi to go anywhere apart from the beach, even though the staff were great, the room didn't cut it for us, after all this, we decided we needed to be back at "THE PALACE," Thankfully management at Gloria Palace Amadores noticed our plight and were swiftly transferred back to "The Palace," unfortunately we couldn't get a pool room as they were all booked but we did get a newly refurbished room, which was great. Food is always available. There are choices. Themed nights can be a tad confusing. If you are saying the food is cold, it's probably because you took too long to sit down and eat because of the choices of accompanying food. It's a busy hotel, pick your time to eat according to the least busiest time. When we arrived, it was hot but there was a calima, so we were aware, but it got hotter, I think 42.6°c was the recorded max temp warning by Aemet, yes I believe there could be some big fans or some kind of air conditioning in reception at least, not just for clients but for the staff too, there wasn't any movement of air. The room, however, had a big tropical fan on the ceiling ( I want one) as well as air conditioning when the patio doors are closed. In conclusion, because, like a fool, I paid the total price up front via the website, if I had paid at the hotel, I would have been refunded the difference between the Royal and Palace, never mind, lesson learned, I lost over €1000 transferring as a result, but I didn't really care. I was back at the Palace. What would have made our holiday end on a happier note would have been a late check-out, but being summer, no rooms were available, so trying to avoid the hot air was uncomfortable and unbearable. For those thinking the Royal is better, think again, the Palace us in an optimal location, staff are great, I have never had any problems with grumpy staff. I would gladly continue to class this hotel as my second home. It is my benchmark. Special thanks to Zuzanna and staff for all they COULD do, ¡Espero verte pronto!

I have just come back from a week’s stay with my husband and adult daughter. The hotel is in a beautiful location, high up on the cliffs overlooking the sea. We were greeted very warmly by a very charming member of staff. He checked us in quickly, allocated our rooms, offered us from the reception bar some Prosecco and directed us to our rooms. We had requested block 3 and two rooms fairly near together. Our rooms were spacious, beautiful with a huge bathroom. The walk-in shower was big enough to just have 8 people standing in it. Double sinks, and a separate toilet within the bathroom with a see through door (I had to laugh at that as if a door is there for privacy, at least make it frosted glass)! Comfortable twin beds (requested) but pushed together and a gorgeous balcony with two layouts, table and two chairs, very private and views looking out to see. Was fabulous. We were all inclusive. As somebody who does not each meat and chicken, I was thankful that each meal there was fresh fish cooked nicely. If you wanted it cooked for longer, you only had to ask. There was a great selection of vegetarian dishes, meats, pizzas, pastas, salads, fruits, dessert selection, ice cream. Plenty of choice for all appetites. There was a fabulous breakfast selection of cooked meats, freshly cooked omelettes, pancakes, waffles, fried and boiled eggs, yoghurts, breads, cheeses, fresh fruits and the large assortment of bakery products. You could eat as healthily as you wanted or not. I was somewhere in between. There was even a separate section for gluten/lactose free clients, not huge choice but at least it was there. The entertainment was a little mixed. One electronic board and one written daily chart listing times and entertainment - unfortunately they did not reflect the same information. My husband, being a keen table tennis player turned up one morning to play at the allotted entertainment slot specified on the board but nobody showed up and instead rifle shooting took place elsewhere listed on the other board! No big deal, it’s a holiday, time to chill but was a bit perplexing. The 2 members of the entertainment team I met were Luna and Pablo. They were very engaging. Aqua fitness was always popular and light foam weights used for a large proportion of the session with Pablo which was excellent. I’m a zumba fan, and noticing zero zumba/dance sessions I mentioned to Luna who arranged a session for the next day to please me and any other guests who turned up. I’m sure more people would have taken part if they had known it was happening. Anyway, thank you Luna. Much appreciated. We saw 3 shows in the evening, an excellent singer, Walter, which we really enjoyed, a fabulous boy band group (think called Evolution but could be mistaken). They did a large variety of Motown and Soul music and had lots of personality and great voices. There was also a Whitney Houston singer who was also extremely entertaining and had a good voice too. There was also karaoke usually after the shows. The seating areas were huge and usually very full with people watching shows while having a drink. It was very hot there. I’m not sure why air conditioning was missing. I get that there were a couple of open doors but too many people were fanning themselves so perhaps this could be addressed somehow? There are two sunbathing floors with an infinity pool on each floor. There were always loads of empty seats, there was no need to rush to get seats although there are always guests who like a specific area for their reasons, but generally we would stroll out around 10:30 and always be able to get sunbeds and umbrellas. There are bars on both of these areas with a snack bar on the top deck where you could have snacks when you wanted, some were all-inclusive, or you just pay for what you wanted. There were pool tables, giant outdoor chess on floor, ping pong tables and shuffleboard to name some of the popular activities dotted around. There is a children’s area on one of the decks with slides etc. there is a kids club which I can’t comment on as didn’t use it but there was always a mini disco in the evening which was popular with the youngest guests. Housekeeping was great, we had a lovely lady Adama, who looked after us so nicely, and greeted us with warmth. Thank you Adama. Staff generally were very good around all areas of the hotel. It makes a nice atmosphere to be greeted with a smile and a desire to help when they can. Location was ok. Overlooking the sea high up was wonderful. There were walkways to take you either to Amadores or Puerto Rico, about a 15 minute walk either way depending on your level of fitness. However, disappointingly, the walkways were quite deserted, especially later at nights. For peak summer this was surprising. To get to the main part of Puerto Rico, it is a five minute drive away by taxi. Lots of shops (shopping malls) restaurants and bars. Was thriving there. All in all, a great holiday, you make what you want out of your time there. You can be as active or chilled as you want. I would recommend this hotel. It’s gorgeous and the views over the sea are fantastic.

We arrived and was immediately greeted with heat. I understand it is hot in August in GC but no air con it seems anywhere in the hotel. Check in process is long - i can see why they appease you with a drink and a biscuit. All inclusive bands are applied but appear to be for no reason when you are constantly asked for your room card. "For stock count" apparently. Food average at best. Luke warm at best. On night 4 of our trip my husband and 2 other people were served raw chicken. Totally unacceptable and downright dangerous. This was raised to management who apologised and made the head chef aware. Bar a handful of staff most are miserable. They do not greet you as you enter the restaurant and barley say two words when ordering drinks. Rooms are probably one of the best bits. Decorated nicely and modern and cleaned well. We stayed in block 3 which was fabulous. Room spacious especially when travelling with two children. Pools dirty - tiles chipped and filthy. Not one person goes around cleaning during the day. Snack bar adequate - food was warmer than main restaurant but again average at best. Not enough staff to take orders. Location of the hotel is good. Puerto rico and Amadores both within walking distance or short taxi rides away. It seems from talking to people that this hotel has really gone downhill in recent months. What a shame. We wont be returning unfortunately and will stick to Iberostar who know how to treat guests correctly.

Really enjoyable visit, definitely a great quality family hotel. Rooms are lovely and spacious with everything you need, amazing views as the location is perfect, with the beaches and shopping within walking distance. Staff really friendly and helpful. Lots of choices for food, not the best all inclusive we have been on for good but definitely not the worst. The only slight disappointments were the spa being closed which we were not aware of as that looks like it would be amazing when open and the evening entertainment was not the best. But would definitely consider returning. Really good value.

Stayed in the hotel for 10 nights at the end of July to start of August. Travelled with my husband, 11 year old step son and our 9 week old baby. I has emailed before hand to ask the price of a bigger family room due to travelling with a baby but was told there were currently none available for our stay and to check on check in. Also arranged a cot via email however decided to bring a travel bassinet incase cot was too big for newborn. We arrived at around 10pm. Reception was busy with other families checking in and only 2 staff on the desk. Unfortunate timing really as the weekly Karaoke was ongoing and the reception area was very loud with people murdering old school classics. Not ideal to be standing around with a baby after a day of travelling. The loud entertainment also made it difficult to hear the staff when checking in. When it was our turn to check in my husband asked about the availability of a family room to be told we had already been moved to a family room and now had to pay €500. I requested to have a look at our original room to see if it was actually needed to be told they could no longer see our original room and we had been assigned a new room with the outstanding balance. I asked could we speak to someone else about this to be told there were only two members of staff on check in and they had both only been working there a week so were unsure. Due to a long day travelling with a baby we decided to pay the balance so we could get settled. That matter solved we continued the check in process - the staff member started to explain our half board and what this included but I informed him we had booked ‘all inclusive plus’ and showed them the paper work. I was told that’s not what was on the system and he couldn’t change it. We were informed we would have to speak to management in the morning but he was unable to give us the all inclusive bands. I questioned what we were expected to do for food and drink that night and was told to charge it to the room and then get it reimbursed in the morning. The family suite was lovely, very specious and clean however no cot as arranged but thankfully I’d brought my own. The following morning my husband went to speak to management to resolve the all inclusive issue to be told we had been given the upgraded room in error and we would have to leave it and return to our original booking even though we had paid for the upgrade. Turns out we’d been checked in under the wrong family’s booking which explained the all inclusive issue. We were told we had to be out of the room by midday. Having to re pack and move the family was really not ideal. We left the room for 12 and went down to reception for our new room to be told it wasn’t ready yet and we were to put out luggage in storage and the would ring us when it was available. We were then left for 3 hours with no room which was not acceptable with a newborn baby with no prior notice and no place to take the baby with air conditioning. Soo far our first night and day at the hotel had been ruined. On getting our next room (with no offer to help with baggage) we found the room still had no cot but instead had an extra single bed shoved into it. Room was clean and tidy but obviously far smaller than the family suite we had just spent the night in. No cot was ever delivered to the room and randomly on the 7th night the extra bed was removed. Food was ok nothing spectacular. Everyday at the buffet I found the staff would take a drinks order but would never return to take a second order and were hard to get a hold of so it’s hard to get the moneys worth of the all inclusive drinks. Food at the snack bar was decent and fresh, same issue with drinks orders. Not enough staff on at the bars so there was always a line and staff were rushing so customer service was poor and often I found staff rude and that you were inconveniencing them when ordering a a few drinks. You are asked for your room card at random times and if don’t have it you to provide a room number. All inclusive aspect I would say is not worth it with how time consuming it is to get a drink. A lot of things are not included in the all inclusive which didn’t make sense to me. This included a lot of the alcohol, smoothies and ice creams. The ice cream provided is pathetic and is a small children’s sized yogurt tub of ice cream. This has to be ordered at the bar and is not self serve. I feel the hotel would be a lot better if ice cream was self serve and if they had a self serve soft drink machine. This would also help with waiting time at the bars. Bars are cashless so any item has to be charged to your room. If you don’t have your room card you give a room number however no details are confirmed so anyone could be charging anything to your room. Hotel views are lovely and location is good. Near by beach is lovely. Can’t comment on entertainment as we didn’t go. Kids club is non existent. No one approached my step son to attend anything which was disappointing. Top pool which is more quiet had random fashion shows for swim wear which was loud and unnecessary in my view. Lifts are a nightmare they either don’t work or are constantly full do you’ve to attempt 3 times to actually use the lift. We were unable to use the stairs as we had a pram. Overall I found the stay disappointing and not worth the money. On speaking to other guests who had returned for the 5th time they said they couldn’t believe the difference in a year. They said the attitude of staff had drastically reduced and said the previous years they had been more alcohol and all ice cream options had been included in the ‘all inclusive’. They stated they would not be returning. We will also not be returning. Unfortunately a very disappointing first holiday with our baby and it was not cheap. Have had much better all inclusive holidays in the canary’s for a fraction of the price.

Cet hôtel convient davantage aux familles avec enfants. Les piscines sont petites et les enfants y jouent dans chacune d'entre elles. Les adolescents jouent au ballon et nagent sur des matelas gonflables, ce qui est interdit par le règlement. Mais personne ne leur fait de remarque. C'est pourquoi cet hôtel est davantage destiné aux familles avec enfants.

I’m not sure what will please some people reading some reviews. Came home last week after an amazing family holiday from 7 months to nearly 70 year old. Stunning location and views; quality food offer; friendly staff; excellent cleanliness and ok entertainment. All inclusive drinks were excellent and the only problem we had over reception was quickly and satisfactorily resolved. This is a hotel that cares about its guests and is why we have visited for over 15 years. Thank you Gloria Palace for another wonderful holiday.

This hotel is an absolute disgrace filthy lifts with sick all over the floor filthy tiles around the pool bellow average standard food our family was here to celebrate my mothers birthday we emailed in advance and was assured they would make the day special for her did this happen no they actually ruined it for her firstly the restaurant manager the lady with the stinking attitude was rude we had reserved a table which was basically a table with a reserved sign flung on it we paid 200 euros for day passes for the family and for a cake for my mum as soon as we sat down we were shouted at as we asked for a drink and the manager running over with a card machine the staff attitude is terrible my mother and fathers room was dull horrible decor and constant water falling into the balcony NOT WORTH THE MONEY AND CERTAINLY NOT A PLACE TO CELEBRATE A SPECIAL BIRTHDAY the hotel response was basically we used the day pass get over it

What can I say, I still have the words "room card" ringing in my ears. Every time you wanted anything from a water, Fanta to a 3 course meal ( not that you could find 3 courses in one night to eat) all they keep asking was "room card" even though you get wristbands on day one, not sure what the wristband does. Im a foodie, but the food was not far off awful, not much selection at all. Even things like pasta were not cooked properly. so between that and the drinks it was quite disappointing. The rest of Hotel was ok, it isn't going to set the world alight, nice views, normal rooms, pool was ok, bit boring for kids, but ok. While families are welcome, there didn't seem to be as much for teenage children compared with other resorts we've visited. Overall, the fantastic location and beautiful views are the highlight, but after 3 days of angry looking staff and "can I have your room Card" the view gets boring (photo attached to save you a trip), but the disappointing food, limited all-inclusive drinks, and lack of a strong family focus mean we wouldn't choose to stay here again.

We are currently staying at the hotel and leave on the 7th August. GOOD AND BAD. Good :- The view and location is amazing. Food is generally tasty. Its generally clean. Bad :- Its 40 degred outside and in the hotel there is no air-conditioning when having a drink or watching the show. Service is generally poor in the lobby bar and the main bar downstairs. It can take up to an hour to get a drink, then it is usually wrong. The staff in the lobby bar can be rude by ignoring you. This hotel is not all inclusive. I must have been told 20 times this is not part of you all inclusive. For example, my daughter wanted to have a milkshake which is milk, Ice, sauce and maybe icecream. Sal these are in the all inclusive but mix them together and u have to pay 5 euro. The quality of food in the all inclusive is no where near the standard of the food you HAVE to pay for. If you've booked this hotel on the basis it has a spa, like we did you will be massively disappointed as its under reconstruction, which we wasn't made aware of before travelling. This was a major disappointment. The rules around the pool aren't enforced. Ie. Reserving sunbed is forbidden, but it happens every day. Overall I wouldn't return or recommend.

It was an unforgettable experience, and Gloria Palace Amadores Thalasso & Hotel left me with nothing but the very best impressions. It is one of those hotels where, from the very first moments, you feel that you have made the right choice, and by the time you leave, you are already thinking about planning your next stay. The hotel’s location is truly exceptional. It is built into the cliffs between Puerto Rico and Amadores, offering breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean from almost everywhere. The room was spacious, comfortable, clean, and perfectly suited for a relaxing stay. The entire hotel is kept exceptionally clean, the communal areas are well maintained, and the overall surroundings feel elegant, welcoming, and comfortable. The staff were friendly, professional, attentive, and always ready to help. The service was smooth and well organised, so even in such a large hotel, you feel genuinely welcome rather than simply being one guest among many. The restaurant offers an extensive and varied selection of food. The dishes are constantly replenished, with plenty of fresh produce, fruit, vegetables, fish, meat, desserts, and freshly prepared meals. The pool areas overlooking the ocean were another highlight of the stay. They are perfect both for peaceful relaxation and for enjoying a livelier atmosphere. Nos alojamos durante dos días y, en general, la experiencia fue muy buena. Queremos destacar especialmente al recepcionista que nos atendió en el check-in, ya que fue muy amable, servicial y simpático desde el primer momento. Lo que más nos gustó, sin duda, fue la habitación con piscina privada. Es una opción perfecta para relajarse y disfrutar de tranquilidad, especialmente porque las zonas comunes estaban bastante masificadas durante nuestra estancia

El punto negativo fue el buffet, que nos pareció de una calidad bastante baja para un hotel de estas características. Además, aunque los camareros estaban muy centrados en hacer su trabajo, se les veía bastante agobiados y en ocasiones resultaba complicado pedir bebidas o conseguir que retiraran los platos de la mesa. Aun así, disfrutamos mucho de la estancia y la habitación con piscina hizo que la experiencia mereciera mucho la pena.

La atención por parte de los trabajadores, desde los de barra, en el buffet y recepción, haciendo una mención especial a Pietro, que a pesar de llegar dos horas antes del check-in fue muy atento, amable y simpático y nos invitó a almorzar en el buffet. Respecto a las instalaciones, la habitación era enorme y el baño también, con una terraza con dos tumbonas, mesa y dos sillas, con unas fantásticas vistas al mar. Piscinas infinity y zona especial para nudistas, este detalle nos gustó bastante, ya que es discreto y puedes tomar el sol tranquilamente. El buffet era grande y con mucha variedad, y una zona en el exterior por si quieres comer fuera con vistas al mar.

Una zona sin niños, sería genial, para la gente que quiere estar en modo relax

Breakfast was nice. We got water delivered to our room free of charge. Bread at breakfast was especially nice. Tea nice. Plenty of sunbeds around the infinity pool. The only pool I saw . Entertainment nice. Beds were comfortable. Cleaning was good. Lovely balcony and got sun at times. Taxis were cheap £8 - 10 euros up and down. It was the only means of transport to get water. etc. I liked the water and biscuits at check-in, also wine. We got a bottle of bubbly delivered to our room, much appreciated. The escalator up and down to the dining room and lounge was perfect. The staff were very obliging and helpful. Liked theme nights, there was an Irish, and there was something every night to eat. Soup was lovely desserts too nice.

No orange juice except from the machine I inquired from a member of staff, who advised me that I could have freshly squeezed orange juice for £4.50 per glass. I declined. This is something to deal with. We paid for water, in restaurant each night. One night we ordered a bottle of wine, just 2 glasses for £13 thought it a rip off, Fry not good ,my husband tried it but skipped it then. I love to walk but could not walk down or up the very steep hills. The Hotel is situated on a cliff edge. When we visited some time back, there was an escalator going right down from the hotel to the borders of Puerto Rico a lovely town but escalator is not working any more. This was a big disappointment, and i wished I had read visitors' experience. I should have been told in advance, as my husband has Parkinson's and loves his walk each day, this did upset him, I had to get taxi or there was a bus which travelled irregularly, The worst we encountered when i asked at check in about the Thallosso Spa and pool which was our main reason for choosing Gloria Palace Amadores was the Thallosso suite I believe we should have been informed before we went. Dinner was not great. They had pork as main meat, mostly, No steak fried to the customer's choice. I would not return due to the reasons outlined. The Hotel did not meet my needs

The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly every single member of the team. This is something you rarely encounter, and it pleasantly surprised me. The hotel was very clean, and the swimming pool was excellent. There is also a shuttle service provided by the hotel to several beaches, which was very convenient. Public transportation in Gran Canaria is excellent as well. You can easily get from the hotel to the airport by bus, so there is no need to book a taxi. Our room was wonderful, with a beautiful ocean view. It was cleaned every day, and everything was always clean, comfortable, and cozy. The location of the hotel is also fantastic. Overall, we had a great stay and would happily recommend this hotel to others.

As a small suggestion, I would appreciate a greater variety of meat options. I do not eat pork, and I also avoid meat that is cooked on the same grill or cooking surface as pork. Because of this, my dining choices were sometimes limited. It would be great if different types of meat could be prepared separately. Another minor issue was that the hairdryer in our room stopped working. We informed the reception, but unfortunately no one came to repair or replace it during our stay. This was a little disappointing. However, I understand that mistakes can happen, and it did not affect our overall experience. I hope the issue has been fixed for future guests.

Lovely quiet hotel, no queues for food, fab sitting outside for meals, staff all friendly and pleasant, used plates removed speedily, very clean and spotless, fresh water in glass bottles provided in bedroom daily, fantastic salt water infinity pool, food excellent, very comfortable beds.

Me ha encantado todo, desde el recibimiento en recepción, las instalaciones, las comidas… Lo más que me ha gustado es que han aceptado mi petición antes de la llegada, ya que muy pocos hoteles lo suelen hacer, hemos solicitado una habitación en la última planta y haciendo esquina ya que viajábamos con nuestros perritos y nos lo han concedido, ya solo por dedicar un minuto de su tiempo para atender las necesidades de los huéspedes, se merecen un 10/10, me alegra ver que aún existen hoteles que lo hacen.

Perfect location with direct lift access to cliff path for walking into Puerto Rico or to Amadores. Rooms face directly out to see for stunning sunsets. Thalasso pool costs extra but hotel guests get a small discount. I was in a beautiful room that seemed to have been recently modernised. Staff are very friendly.

We recently stayed at Gloria Palace Amadores Thalasso & Hotel. While the hotel has several positive aspects, there is one serious issue that must be highlighted. The hotel states that it is non-smoking in public areas, including around the pool. In practice, this is not enforced. Guests were smoking freely around the pool, ashtrays were placed throughout the area, and there were no visible signs indicating that smoking is prohibited. My wife has asthma, and this had a direct impact on her health. The problem was not limited to the pool area. On our last evening and the evening before, we wanted to sit outside by the bar to enjoy a drink and play cards. However, smoking was present at multiple tables in all available seating areas, making it impossible for us to sit there. We were instead forced to sit indoors at the bar near the reception. We contacted reception twice during our stay. After a reminder, we received a general reply two days later referring to the hotel’s non-smoking policy, but also stating that some guests do not follow the rules. No action was taken, and our follow-up message was ignored. Shifting responsibility to guests while taking no measures to enforce the hotel’s own policy is not acceptable. The lack of enforcement did not only affect our stay—it significantly impacted and ultimately ruined our holiday experience. It is not acceptable to promote a non-smoking environment without ensuring that it is actually upheld. This needs to be taken seriously and addressed properly, so that no one else with asthma has to experience the kind of holiday we had.
