Staff was very friendly and helpful. They assisted us in every way to ensure we had a pleasant experience. The food in the restaurants were delicious
I couldn't purchase anything after hours on the premises
Bel resort a Aviemore, con tutto il necessario. Camera spaziosa.
Tutto ok!
The location
The hotel is dated and needs completely refurbished. We had to go to a different building to have our breakfast. The cooked breakfast was not fresh and should have been much hotter, i.e. it was look warm.
La cama y tenía calefacción.. por la noche hacia frío y es aun verano.
La ubicacion muy complicada, y el desayuno muy pobre para 24 Pounds
Location is great for Aviemore. Beds are comfy and easy to park. Most staff are very friendly too.
I had been coming here for a long time and standards have dropped. A few years ago I remember getting decent coffee, shortbread in rooms and water. Now it’s Nescafé and that about it. It’s getting dated and they seem to be cutting costs. Breakfast used to be much better with haggis and black pudding etc. Now the choice is limited. You can only get standard coffee. Worst aspect was as I used to love this hotel in previous years, I got the email asking if I wanted half price upgrade if lucky at check in. I chose this option and it said would find out on arrival and have to pay if successful. So I went onto website to see what this offering gave. A bigger room but also a Nespresso machine, robes etc. apparently. No one told me I had been upgraded on arrival and no extra money listed on the sheet I signed so I assumed a classic room. I noticed the room was large but there were no robes, standard kettle only provided, and Nescafé sachets etc in room so just assumed it was a large standard room. Only on leaving did they tell me I owed them for the upgrade to a suite and had to pay. Basically had to pay for a larger room with gives non of the offerings listed on the website for this room. I would not have taken the chance to get an upgrade if known this. If I am honest, the standards in this complex have dropped year on year and got to the point where I am now preferring the Premier Inn down the road as even the breakfast better there, and a choice of coffee types. And their beds are always comfy which is probably the only thing I found good at this hotel.
Plenty of variety for breakfast
Room size, bed size. Breakfast. Cleanliness.
Bar closed 9pm in hotel.
Comfortable room, great parking and close to Aviemore centre
Nothing to dislike
Location. Cosy & comfortable room.
Mouldy bathroom. Very rude reception staff. Dull & uninviting grey exterior. No internal phone to contact customer services. Own phone had to be used & directed to a call centre.
Lovely staff, great breakfast, lots to do in aviemore
Lovely room and comfortable bed. Very clean.
The breakfast was poor. Terrible half cooked bacon covered in white gunge. Tasteless sausages, no decent bread other than sliced for toast. Disappointing.
L’élégance et les activités autour de cet ensemble.
Le Morlich est un peu vieillissant dans sa structure mais reste extrêmement confortable dans les chambres spacieuses.
Handily located
Double bed was 2 singles pushed together so therefore a big ridge down middle of bed
Nette Anlage, nettes Personal.
-
Sauna and steam facilities! :-)
Nothing to note
Location
No room service to clean the room in 4 days
Very comfortable big bed
For such a large room there was no fridge unfortunately which for being such a warm day in summer would have been ideal for keeping cold drinks or snacks cool.
Convenient location
The location for breakfast was out of the building. It could be perfect in the same building but ok though. Hot or cooked meals were warm enough. Options were available which was good. Staff were very nice and polite. Service was perfect. The resort in general is in a a very nice place, stunning environment and proximity to town center was great. Lovely place to lodge.
Bedsheet felt like paper and too warm. Couldn't access the jacuzzi tub on 3 occasions which was a very disappointment because we chose this hotel because of the jacuzzi so not able to use it was a great disappointment. We also tried to access the cinema but were told sound was not working. Another disappointment. Hope these would be sorted because we would love to come back.
Location and friendly staff. Comfy bed.
The banging noise when people used the stairs. Very loud. Lacj of Fridge in room.
Great location . Grounds well Maintained and hotel clean . Moo
Bedroom very small and bedding had a musty smell presume. No nice outdoor drinking/ eating area. No water in bedroom and room badly outdated
Lovely location
Rooms dated
We didn't stay at the Morlich because the dining room was reserved for coach parties. We were told we would have to walk to the nearby Highlands Hotel for breakfast. We got them to transfer us ti the Highlands Hotel which was ok
Check in
The room itself was ok but was possibly in the worst position in the hotel, right beside the lift and doors to the stairs which meant a lot of noise during the late and early hours - not great for trying to sleep.
Big comfy bed, clean room and bathroom, no noise during night and a good breakfast.
The music - every track sounds the same. Designed to be inoffensive but dull and boring (and I like a bit of jazz!).
Very expensive budget hotel. Felt like second class guests to others as the bar and restaurant in our hotel were not being manned, they said due to low guest numbers, so were a few mins walk to the sister( and thats without mobility issues) in the pouring rain. Pool facilities have impressive medical equipment like spinal boards etc. I thought that was overkill untill I realised how slippy pool area is. Never again, regret not going to Columbridge.
Nice bedroom Location Parking
The coffee.
Good variety breakfast provided Aspect Restaurant staff lovely and Highland Hotel Bar Staff very pleasant
Food Hall was in separate building from Hotel which was fine due to good weather but if adverse weather would have been issue for the two elderly members of my party. On last morning there was no gluten free bread at breakfast for member of party which was not great. Highland Hotel had restaurant, bars and breakfast facility within hotel when Morlich did not. Room was very comfortable.
Comfortable beds
Long walk to breakfast. Prefer walk in shower
Really comfortable room with good breakfast, to be honest I just slept continuously (walking speyside way). lots of facilities on site, if i'd had more time to use them. well located for station and Cairngorm Mountain
the site was a bit confusing to navigate around.
Location excellent, near the statuon. Comfortable room. In great grounds right next to a nature reserve.
A bit confusing trying to find the hotel, not listed at the entrance, sign just said hotels. Restaurant stops serving quite early.
Nice room with very comfortable and clean accommodation.
Room overlooked used beer barrels and bins. No tea and coffee facilities in the room and no means of eating in the hotel. You had to go to a separate building to eat and when I phoned Reception to ask where exactly Giovannis was, one of two restaurants mentioned in their welcome pack, I was told it was closed. The alternative was a rather expensive steakhouse, also situated in another building. Same situation for breakfast. In the end I went round to the local Tesco and skipped dinner and breakfast with the hotel. Annoying as I had paid for breakfast. I had been driving all day when I arrived and would have liked to have been able at least to make a cup of tea.
Very comfortable room good evening meal and very good breakfast, parking facilities very good, helpful and friendly staff.
Got a wee bit lost in the corridors slightly confusing.
We were booked into Morlich Hotel and were transferred to Highland Hotel We found .no fault with Highland hotel but were disappointed that our requests hadn't been passed on.All a bit disappointing
Location and all activities within minute’s away .
The location, the facilities is the weather was good. The locals were friendly as well as fellow travelers.
The breakfast is seasonal between the Amore Hotel and the Highlands hotel. But that is understandable with the climate escalation of food prices. I'm hoping this will stabilize.
Location
Room dated, walls and paintwork tired and scratched
Hotel , area and rooms beautiful
Fact no room service or food available after 7pm, breakfast food very limited and what was on offer was like warm
location , place was nice just few thing staff were ok we went to mountain tops got train up views were amazing. And amazing Chinese called galaxy in Aviemore town centre
room was nice but bed sheet was stained laying down and Beatle crawling on pillows bust round the room bath room side panel in shower was not sealed and the bathroom door was all busted at bottom of door and at the breakfast food was cold beans were frozen and egg was watery just was not good. also my partner had food poison on the first night wee got there .from Giovanni's
Excellent hotel with great facilities fir families. Good breakfast, very clean room.
Drinks were a bit pricey
Location
Moved to another hotel, wasnt told until we arrived. Room very small & basic
Breakfast was good
We had to walk out in the snow to the main hotel to get breakfast
Entertainment in bar was excellent staff were friendly
Location
Breakfast food not topped up maybe not enough staff
Aspects Restaurant was excellent. really nice food and superb attentive staff. Breakfast was well managed and easy. The facilities on site are great. enjoyed a relaxing swim, sauna and steam room. then a walk around the resort was nice
Not to bad considering. Coffee was cold
The whole place is in desperate need of an upgrade
Don’t know it was closed
It was closed and we were moved without being told
The weather.
We booked the Morlich hotel as was advertised on Booking.com... Only to find that the day before our stay the Morlich hotel was closed, and had been for a while, we were given the Highland Hotel instead but not impressed with the noise from kids running about the corridors screaming and banging on doors, people in adjacent rooms not caring what noise they made coming back late at night, poor hot water in room for showers. We booked the Morlich as we had stayed there before and loved it. Not impressed with the Highland at all. As for alcohol prices 1x gin and 1 x wine...over £20.
A beautiful location with lots of great facilities on site! Our breakfast was always so lovely in the mornings and the staff were always nice and friendly. Giovanni's was a lovely place for dinner as well. Our room was lovely and clean.
The hotel we stayed at did feel a little dated, but it didn't negatively affect our stay in anyway. I think the site could benefit from some signage to explain how to get to Craigellachie nature reserve?! We found it a little confusing on how to get to the underpass to enter the site from the hotel.
The bed was comfortable and large. Multiple food options nearby (both in town and in the resort) and a short drive away from the ski station. Nice amenities such as the pool, sauna, live music, cinema, ice rink nearby too, and daily activities for families. Lots of free parking. The staff members Ivan and Augustine were really nice at the Aspects restaurant of the resort.
Feels outdated in places, particularly the corridors, furniture and the building's appearance from the outside. Needs some maintenance and renovation. Cleanliness could have been better (e.g. some spiderwebs in the corners of the room, a chocolate wrapper next to the bedside table...).
Parking
The hotel is dated and in need of investment, decorating, replacing old furniture and modernising. The breakfast was very poor.
We weren't in Morlich hotel. We were phoned on way to be told we were going to moved to Mcdonald Highland. My wife is disabled and we were assured of a walk in shower. There was a shower but it was a step in shower. No hand rails. Asked for a seat to sit in but it was far too big in such a tiny bathroom. No television all weekend. Was also reported
Location and peaceful
Location was great
Broken lift, advised that this would be fixed. It wasn't. Going outside to another building for breakfast in the rain. Leisure facilities in another building across the road. This was not made clear when booking
Il parco intorno all' hotel
Well suitable for a short weekend break in Aviemore
Location and looking of the old school hotel
Dated lots of facilities out of order needs updated and refreshed
Perfect location, easy parking and great value. Comfortable nights sleep. Enjoyed a nice breakfast that was included in our stay.
Room clean, functional and well equipped but could possibly do with a freshen up here and there.
Location
Lift was out of order, buildings appear poorly maintained, breakfast was poor, breakfast was average. Cinema did not appear to be open.
