Location for aviemore is excellent, accepts dogs, which is different from being dog friendly! Pool was good for 7 year old with wave machine and a small flume which she loved, beautiful shop, didnt use soft play but looked good.

The dog friendly room was up a lift and then through numerous corridors and other doors, our dog is fine with that but I wouldn't say its ideal for pets. The bedding was clean but the room needed more of a thorough clean. Really dusty, dirty carpet, bathroom dust etc. Dog area at dinner in aspects was at low tables so dinner on knee, but nice place to sit. Location is fantastic, it was 1 night we stayed extending on from a week in a house rental. Loved landmark, steam train, cairngorm reindeer experience, funicular. Hotel would be lucky to get 3 stars now which is a shame as it used to be great but very disappointed in maintenance and cleanliness. Asked to speak to manager on departure but given email address. Reply was nice but offered best rate for another stay, sorry, but I wouldn't stay again, id look at the Premier Inn or elsewhere in Aviemore.

Het ontbijt was erg teleurstellend. Het fruit kwam uit de diepvries en was zelfs nog niet helemaal ontdooid. Bonen uit blik en het servies niet goed schoon. Bij het afrekenen schrok ik helemaal: £25 per persoon! Absoluut niet waard. Mijn advies: ga lekker ergens anders ontbijten.

It had a range facility to choose from although it was tricky to know where and when to go. And also the toilet bathroom was a bit tiny and it had an extremely towel hanging radiator that would burn the skin with the slightest touch. I and the kids received a few.

Changed booking of rooms, then said time would be ready for it wasn't when we requested pmenty of notice for early check in as had bolkkngs for sons birthday. The woman behind counter unfortunately had to deal with this even though was not her fault. The hotel is so dated well the Aviemore one is. The cleanliness of rooms is shocking.

The cleanliness, dated not worth the money to stay there for one night. Sons bed was on top of severely stain Z bed mattress which stank. Some blood stained marking on wall and black marks and paint damage everywhere in rooms.

The staff were awful, barman we got was horrendous had no clue where or what anything was, think he was making up the prices, a large vodka no mixer and pint was £24. Our room wasn’t clean stains on bedding about inch of dust smelt damp was not worth money

Hotellet borde rivas. Det luktar mögel i korridoren och på rummet, inredningen är sliten. Hotellet är inte underhållet alls sedan de är byggt. Det fanns knappt inte någonstans att äta. Restaurangen var stängd. Fullbokat på de flesta mat ställen i det lilla Aviemore.

Das Resort selbst liegt sehr gut und wird auch schön gepflegt, das Hotel aber ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, das Badezimmer wurde aber renoviert.

Beim Eingangsbereich kleben die Griffbereiche der Schwingtür und auch beim Frühstücksraum, welcher am Abend als Aufenthaltsbereich dient (der andere gegenüber der Rezeption war in Ordnung), klebte beim Frühstück der Boden und unser Tisch, was wirklich nicht notwendig ist.

Looked like a prison camp, nothing like the photos, felt depressing and tired, walls all marked, not dirty but not clean, got a twin bedroom but one bed was a sofa bed

Good location

I have a severe arthritis and by adding sea salts to a hot bath each evening after the day out can really help to ease the pain, but unfortunately there was a fault with hot water tap in our bath as only cold water comes out of both taps. I complained the issue to the staff on the very next day and was told the maintenance team will fix the tap issues while we're out during the day. Sadly nothing was fix and the water still cold. I complain again the next day but the staff wouldn't move us to a different room with the bath that works. I mentioned to the staff that I have severe arthritis and would need a bath and I asked to speak to the manager, only to be told, the manager is aware of the issues but there is nothing he could do. He also stated that if I want a room with a bath, I should have requested it when making the booking. I was very shock to hear such a rude comments and find this kind of service is unacceptable. Firstly, I have been traveling so many places and have never have to make a request for a bath. I always pay attention to the facility in the room before booking. It has always clearly state if a bath is available or just a shower with the room. Secondly, if there is a bath in a room, it should be in good working order and it's the hotel responsibility if there is a fault with the bath. We feel that manager should have apologise for not provide us with a bath in good working order instead of making lame excuses and pushing the blames onto the customers. This is not how good service should be. Overall, we generally feel that the front desk staffs at this hotel very unfriendly and unhelpful to us. Not sure if it's because of our asian race but the staff seems to be more friendly and helpful with other European guests. We feel like a second class citizen here. This is not the kind of place we like to be and will never come back to this hotel again.

Since it is a resort you have to walk to go to the pool or to a restaurant . But else everything was excellent

The towels in the room were not changed often enough over the week. And the reception staff were informing people that certain places across the cairngorms were closed when they were in fact open.

énorme complexe qui peut être un peu déroutant au départ... il y a plusieurs hôtels, une offre de services importante (piscine, patinoire, activités pour les jeunes enfants...) mais difficile de s'y orienter. on sent que c'est un complexe qui a eu ses heures de gloire il y a un certain temps et mériterait désormais un rafraichissement, il manque de chaleur. très bon emplacement pour les activités en famille, un parc d'activités diverses est à quelques kilomètres. Le personnel est très sympathique et souriant, le petit déjeuner sous forme de buffet est complet et varié

The surrounding areas are breathtaking. The swimming, spa and massage were great. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Food was spot on.

The hotel has a tired feeling and could do with being freshened up. The lift needs fixed so it can be more dependable than what it is at the moment. I’m only 6 months after hip surgery and was put on the 3rd floor and a long walk away from the lift which is fine as I’m getting stronger but there was times when I had to walk up and down stairs due to the lift being temperamental and not always turning up. There was not a lot of maps of the area considering there were 3 hotels in the resort. Every time you asked the staff where something was they would answer ‘it’s just 5 mins walk and just up and round the corner’. Not very helpful and not always correct instructions.

Room - Not the cleanest. Room could do with a hoover. Bit dated. We put on the do not disturb sign but someone still accessed the room when we were out.Tables at breakfast and restaurant were sticky. Unable to get a table (for 2 + kid) at the Aspect restaurant, even though restaurant empty. Bar closed at 10pm. EV chargers didnt work. Pool and changing area not very clean and alot of broken lockers. Most of the activities you need to pay more for.

I realised I had left my purse in the hotel tried calling and couldnt get an answer I emailed and also WhatsApped to be told the email might not be replied to within 48hrs and on whats app they were replying then told me there was nothing they could do. Eventually got through to staff after a hour of calling to be told I cant check for u I'm at another hotel their customer service was shocking! She then told me a purse has been found but couldnt tell me what it looked like and I'd get a call in the morning. I got no phone call had to phone them at 4pm the next day to be told yes its here you'll have to arrange for royal mail to collect! A phone call wouldve been nice! Seems once they've received your money they aren't interested! Would not be back also on checking out they told me I was due them four pounds as they had incorrectly charged me on arrival 😂 defo avoid!

Es gab ein Hallenbad und einen Indoor-Spielplatz. Bei letzterem ließ allerdings die Sauberkeit zu wünschen übrig. Die Lage war sehr gut, der Bahnhof in Aviemore sowie die Geschäfte und Restaurants waren fußläufig erreichbar.

Wir bereits mehrfach beschrieben ist das Hotel sehr renovierungsbedürftig. Wir hatten den Eindruck, dass seit der Erbauung nichts mehr erneuert worden ist. Im Bad gab es Schimmel, die Teppiche rochen modrig und die Fensterscheiben waren teilweise zerbrochen. Auf dem Spielplatz gab es ein Karussell mit zerrissenen Seilen und Geräte mit morschen Holzbalken. Auch die sonstigen Außenbereiche waren ungepflegt und teilweise vermüllt. Leider absolut keine Wohlfühlatmosphäre und für diesen Preis nicht vertretbar!

Locatie goed als uitvalsbasis. Zwembad was okay. Ontbijt redelijk uitgebreid.

Dit is echt vergane glorie. Volgens mij zijn ze 15 jaar geleden gestopt met onderhoud en investeren. Winkels en restaurants stralen uit alsof ze er geen zin meer in hebben. Geen airco op de kamer, lift werkt halve tijd en gym waarmee ze adverteren is permanent gesloten..

Pool changing room was a bit dirty. Toddler pool was cold. Carpet in room was dirty. Sofa bed was dirty and dusty and very squeaky to sleep on. Requested a travel cot that wasn't in the room on arrival and had to wait 1 hour for it.

We found it difficult to find anywhere to eat at 8.45pm so ended up with a carry out. So book a dinner reservation ahead of arrival and arrive before 8.30! We thought we had booked the hotel with the pool but we were actually in a different one.

Ready for an update , pull out bed was uncomfortable,lift didn’t work as it should and not munch vegetarian options.

Breakfast was perfect, couldn’t have asked for more. It was great having a swimming pool.

Servicing rooms was done later in the day when we were back to relax so told the staff just to leave our rooms. Also it would have been nice to have a separate quieter lounge/bar where you could escape the kids.

The staff were awful and 1 was actually on a job interview on his phone behind the bar as customers were waiting to be served. He gave me my 2nd pint in the glass I gave him even though there was some left over. Very very few Scottish workers and bed clothing were ripped badly. We had no remotes for the 2 televisions in the room so the could only give us 1 which turned 1 on and instantly turned other 1 off. A pint of perroni is just under £8 which is disgusting. Ice skating in resort is £15 per adult!!!! Worst break we've had by far!!!!

Location is great, having a pool on site is handy. Bed was comfortable. Noise from corridors due to massive gap under door and poor noise insulation.

On arrival, we asked to put our bikes in secure storage, as advertised. The employee behind the desk showed us an unlocked, storage room and told us to put them in there. The next morning, when coming down for breakfast, our bikes were just sitting in the hallway, right next to the main door - nothing to stop someone walking off with them! We questioned this and were told - we need access to that room so we moved them! It was then put on us to find a solution as the employee the night before apparently should not have told us to put them in there. No assistance was offered. We had took them away and locked them up outside temporarily. After that saga, breakfast was held in the bar area. Food was mediocre and weirdly placed in stations in different corners of the room. Bakery items were hard and stale, cooked food was oily and unappealing. Cannot fault the staff, who were attentive and tried their best and were polite. After that, went to the pool. The slide was cordoned off and the wave machine appeared non-functional, which we were disappointed about. After 10 minutes, a child defecated in the pool. Upon alerting the duty lifeguard/employee, they didn't seem bothered at all. Left the pool and whilst getting changed, the fire alarm went off. Staff were nowhere to be seen - nobody came to say 'get out' or 'it's ok, it's a false alarm'. We'd just got hastily out of the building when it went off. Spent 5 mins in the soft play and could see that the pool slide and wave machine were now miraculously open, with no explanation. Were kinda glad that we weren't in the pool as the wave machine broke up the faeces. We won't be back.

Wenig freundliches und kompetentes Personal an der Rezeption. Wir wurden zu 3 verschiedenen Hotels geschickt, bis wir beim richtigen Gebäude ankamen.

Shabby, grubby interiors. Sticky, unclean surfaces in hallway, bar and reception. Really uncomfortable beds with awful dirty cushions and throw in them. Get rid of the cushions and throw! Very unhygienic. Chipped bath and a bit grubby around shower door. No air extraction in bed room Bedroom had broken lamp in it. Not sure if carpet was cleaned properly. Not happy that dogs are allowed. Breakfast area in bar with sticky tables & chairs which were old mismatched school chairs! Exterior of hotel shabby and uninspiring brutalist architecture. Windowsill of our bedroom had mold, moss and lichen growing on it. Pool area dirty and slippy. Pool needs an update.

Old buildings, all the carpets are old and dusty. The rooms are outdated. Swimmingpool water is so cold. But the most ignoring thing is how loud the restaurant (Giovanni's) is. But in the restaurant and during breakfast so many parents who approve there children to watch on the tablets with a high volume, terrible. And the staf is doing nothing. Since when is it normal to put you phone or tablet on speaker in public? Please don't normalize this!

Inner bathroom door handle - small chrome knob- very difficult to turn when steam from bathroom on it and even more of a challenge for people with hand grip issues. Just put a handle on it like on the outside 😡 Tea and coffee - why no complimentary bottle of water ??? Not everyone drinks tea and coffee. 🤷‍♂️

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, Hunde sind hier herzlich willkommen und auch die angebotenen Speisen (Frühstücksbuffet + Restaurants) sind top.

Manche Teile des Hotels sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen, wobei die Sanierungsarbeiten bereits laufen.

Virkelig godt hotel til børn. Utrolig mange aktiviteter og faciliteter! Her kunne man godt have boet meget længere tid. Virkelig god placering i højlandet til at tage på tur rundt omkring!! Flotte værelser- god morgenmad :-)

Family-friendly, comfortable beds and blackout curtains gave us good night rests, pool and outdoor play area were hits with our kids, full breakfasts were amazimg! We loved the location as it gave us access to so many nature trails and tourist sites we wanted to visit. Cute town within walking distance was helpful too.

That we couldn't fit our family of 5 in one room (or have adjoining rooms). Having rooms next to each other worked though.

Es ist alles in die Jahre gekommen. Schwimmbad war nur zur Hälfte mit Wasser gefüllt. Mit seinen 11- und 13-jährigen Kindern kam man sich etwas alt vor.
