Good selection and quality of breakfast foods. As we were there for a family wedding, along with other people, there were several times I needed access to their rooms and housekeeping staff were very helpful. When we needed an extension cord, the front desk found one and delivered it promptly. All staff were friendly and helpful.

I requested a kettle in the room for tea but the hotel could not accommodate me. I would prefer real china, but cups for coffee in room and breakfast room were paper, with plastic cutler. We brought our own tea, kettle and cups, because although the hotel has 24-hour tea and coffee available, it was not to our taste and we wanted to have tea before going down for breakfast.

Medium size hotel, with all facilities necessary. Clean, comfortable. Large rooms. Free water and coffee available 24/7 in the lobby. Very nice personnel. Away from the center of town but right by the main highways and streets, so easily to travel to and from it. Excellent breakfast, varied and complete.

Overcharged on credit card for wedding block hotel room. When guest folio was emailed and showed the discrepancy that I was overcharged what they claim was charged to my Visa, they charged the difference to the card AGAIN rather than crediting it, so now they’ve taken double the amount, unauthorized from my credit card. I’ve been on hold with the 705-737-9999 number for over an hour. Seems that they have left the line off the hook. There is no other way to contact them. EXTREMELY disappointed. Will likely need to contact my credit card company to stop payment or they will get away with stealing the extra money from me. Be very cautious if you stay here and be sure to check your credit card statements.

Le camera datate e un po’ sporche ma soprattutto la struttura in generale un po’ poco curata. Nel corridoio c’erano tutte le lampade strappate, le porte avevano una toppa per coprire un buco di quando forse hanno cambiato le serrature e il bagno con la vasca e la tenda ormai forse da cambiare, per non parlare della struttura del lavandino tutta rovinata con il legno della costruzione a vista.

Breakfast is always really fresh and tasty and there is an excellent variety of choices. They hotel staff are really friendly and cater to your needs and the atmosphere makes you feel comfortable. It's our best choice whenever we go to Barrie!

We really couldn't find anything that we didn't like.

The old lady behind the desk frauds ppl. Reported to the Better Business Bureau and they said we had good reason to as so many other people have had the same problem.

Clean room, comfortable bedding and enough choice for breakfast

The pool is either not clean or stained at the bottom we didn’t use it for this reason, and we couldn’t use the jacuzzi due to being closed.

Breakfast, staff was quick to help

Noise were really loud though the night. Room was right next to the elevator and hotel cleaning room. Guests were talking all night long and it felt like they were standing right outside of my room. Toilet broke the first use but staff were quick to fix.

The first room had broken counter trim. Bathroom vanity lights made a constant clicking noise after turning off.

Use difficult to get heat and it seem to always be cold out. And we intended to use the pool, but it has a lot of stain in the bottom of the pool, which didn’t look very inviting. It could smell like Korean so I knew it was likely clean, but it looks like a bunch of marking from LG at the bottom.

Breakfast area was fantastic

Breakfast area very clean, lots of choices for every dietary need. 24hr coffee tea hot water and implements to go in them. Staff friendly, helpful, soft spoken. Room cleaned very well for next nights stay. I felt safe and warm and content.

Really enjoy having the breakfast at the hotel, they have a very nice and comfortable eating area with a large screen TV, there is a great variety of food that's delicious with coffee all day and the staff are really friendly and wonderful people.

The bathroom sink did not drain properly. It was a little annoying.

The continental breakfast was very good and the lobby was really nice. Room was clean.

The room was really expensive for what you got and the fridge was right beside the bed and was really noisy all night long. It made it really hard to sleep.

Only 1 elevator, bed and pillows were not comfortable, heat/AC was loud, shower had major signs of wear and mildew, fridge was loose and came out of the cabinet every time it was opened, there were other peoples hairs on the clean towels in the bathroom, every single light shade in the hallway was broken.

The breakfast and staff were phenomenal.

Bed Bug WARNING!!!!! I do not recommend staying here. I got bit 6 times in under 5 min: I literally just layed down. Immediately left and all I received was a sorry from front desk and lost out on a suitcase, my shoes and the cost to launder all my clothes; I was taking no chances and so far I lucked out, no hitchhikers...fingers crossed.

It was a bit pricey, but breakfast was included. Compared to other hotels in Barrie it was a good deal. I didn’t like how the pool and hot tub closed at 9:00 pm

The bed was so comfortable. The staff were so friendly snd helpfull. Nice large rooms. Excellent location, minutes from shopping, restaraunts and easy to get to off the hwy.

A convenient, well kept little hotel. Perfect for a short stay

We stayed there on the Sunday of a long weekend. Unfortunately for us, they do not work at full staff on long weekends. There was no maintenance available to help us with a mishap in the sink. First they told us it was impossible to retrieve a diamond pendent that was lost in the sink that it was already in the water system. We hadn't run the water and new it was sitting in the drain pipe. Had a hardware store been open I would have bought a wrench and retrieved it myself. They did not want to handle it because they did not have the staff there. They called in an outside plumber retrieved the pendant and then dinged me for $374.31 on my credit card. I told them that they should pick up some of the cost as they did not have the appropriate staff there. They refused. I was more than willing to split the tab but they didn't budge. I will not be using this chain of hotels again unless they are fully staffed. Even then I would be hesitant.

We have been to this Fairfield many times and are never disappointed. The front desk reception is always welcoming and a shout out to Deena who was so very helpful. Also, Ruby in the breakfast room remembered us from previous times! What a nice surprise! She is always so pleasant and works so diligently to keep the breakfast room clean and well stocked. It is our go to hotel when we are in the area! Thank you again. Karen and Brian

Check in was smooth (and we got our room early), room was clean, bed was comfortable, and selection at continental breakfast was good. No complaints here!

I stayed at the Barrie location with my daughters, on our last morning, I woke up to bites, red swollen areas on my back, arm and leg, scratching in my sleep. The next morning I went to the front to show the front worker and the worker goes “oh they look like Mosquito bites, I said we are in August, in a city and those are not from mosquitoes”. Anyways, front worker was to tell manager, manager then said they would look into it, I carried on and went home 6 hour drive. No call from them so I called when I got home, all they are going to give is a 20% discount and that they don’t find anything in the room. Now these bites are clearly from bed bugs as the bites are in clusters and/or in straight lines. I wouldn’t recommend as they failed to accommodate me after this experience!

Friendly staff. Clean room. People in room next to us played loud music until 1AM. Front desk had to call them then go and knock on their door. They eventually turned it it down but took their time.

Beds were comfortable, pillows flat and bedding was poor quality and would fall off. Hot tub has been cemented in and not listed as unavailable. No working ice machines so had to get front clerk to get from kitchen. Floor tiles in bathroom was missing grout and cracked and cut my daughters foot. Patchwork with scotch tape

Ice machine was broken and the hot tub has been closed and blocked up, unfortunately. Otherwise, a clean, comfortable hotel with a nice pool. Breakfast offerings are excellent.

Excellent stay

The hotel is conveniently located off Highway 400, and is clean and bright. There is coffee available 24/7, and a free hot (and quite good) breakfast. The rooms are a good size, clean, and very quiet. The wi-fi worked great, and the beds were very comfortable. And, most important, the service was superb -- they really make you feel welcome. A first rate stay, and highly recommended.

Very clean and great staff - the breakfast was amazing especially the server. She’s so attentive & patient with us because we have a 14mos old baby she let us take our time feeding she didn’t rush us even though the breakfast done 9:30 we stayed until we finished

I believe we may have been double charged for the room. I booked online and had a receipt from Booking.com but neglected to bring the M/C I used for the booking with me. Desk clerk would not look at the receipt from Booking.com and my husband had to pay for the room at check in. Charges on my M/C ~$579.74 while his was charge was ~$620.
