Love the hospitality. We felt very welcomed as staffs were all well-trained and friendly. The room was beyond our expectations. They paid attention to our needs and all the small details!

Noises from the street. Car honking especially, as our villa was just next to the main road.

The food was very good. The gardens immaculate. The wi fi was inconsistent for most of the time.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom villas, with our adult family. The facilities were beautiful, clean and welcoming. The staff were welcoming and friendly with every interaction. Breakfast overlooking the ocean was a particular highlight of each day.

We had the best experience from the moment we arrived to the minute we left. The location was brilliant, very central with lots of restaurants, bars, shops and markets for us to look around only a short walk away. The hotel itself was pure luxury and situated on the beach. The atmosphere was relaxing and calm with the most amazing staff who couldn’t do enough for you. The grounds of the hotel were kept to such a high standard, clean and inviting with all the wonderful gardens and plants. We stayed in a courtyard villa which wasn’t on the main site but just across the road. We had a buggy on offer if we needed it to take us back and forth, but the walk was only 2/3 minutes and it was lovely to walk through and see some of the locals. Our room was delightful, very spacious and well kept. The services the hotel provided and the staff attention to details made our first trip to Bali a memorable one and the food was just outstanding. The breakfast was to die for. I can not recommend this hotel enough, it was just a dream. Thank you to you all for making our honeymoon experience so special. We will be returning.

Lovely atmosphetr and service. Rooms are big and well kipped villas , with privet pool. Breakfast is on card with a lot of sekection. If uou want to skip Kuta and yet to have good redtaurants , shops and nighclub , this is a better lication. The only probkem that it cost much more than Kuta hotels, but we found it worthwile.

Perfect Experience! I was attending a wedding in Bali and stayed at The Samaya for a week's relaxed holiday between the wedding events... The location was perfect, and the atmosphere was quiet, chilled and calm... which I loved! My Villa was incredible... and everyday was spotlessly clean and organized... The staff were so friendly and went above and beyond looking after me. The food was also lovely... the breakfast menu is incredible, and the quality was so apparent! I also had a 1-hour massage in the hotel spa... such an amazing experience. Can't rate this hotel highly enough...

This all villa resort is in a perfect location in Seminyak It is ideally situated to the beach , the restaurant scene and the various markets and shops. The villas are large with good access including many extras such as, butler service , shuttle service around Seminyak , free massage , mini bar just to name a few. The best part of this quite location is the caring staff , nothing is too much trouble from the airport greeting , restaurant bookings to the warm hug on leaving , and of course the smiling faces at all times. Well done to Karmaya and all his staff , see you again Samaya Seminyak.

Fine location at beach front and at the same time sorrounded by shops and restaurants. The traffic arround is very busy, but you hear nothing from the hotel. Villas are quiet and very relaxing atmosfere. Huge space, beautiful decoration, vegetation, all super confortable. Breakfast a la carte was very good. And we enjoyed the natural juices and smoothies freshly made. All employees were very nice and smily. All staff seemed to know your name and was trully dedicated to make your stay pleasent.

We had the most amazing time at The Samaya Seminyak. The service was exceptional and the villas stunning. The staff made us feel so welcomed. We were celebrating 3 family members birthdays and it was the perfect place to relax and enjoy a luxury escape. We hope to be back as felt so at home and simply loved our time there. Thank you to all of the staff for making our trip so very special. Highly, highly reccommend this stunning resort.

My family and I stayed at the Samaya Seminyak and it was absolutely perfection!. The beachfront location gave us breathtaking sunset views every single night. The private pool villa was incredibly spacious and peaceful, and we loved having the flexibility to order our breakfast whenever we wanted. The Staff and Management went out of their way to make us feel special. The resort is incredible tranquil with beautiful tropical gardens, yet just a short complimentary buggy ride to Seminyak square. Special thanks to the manager and staff for the wonderful hospitality. Each room is a Villa! It is a full apartment with a private pool and pool furniture! Amazing! Brought us to a new level of elegance, complete with Butlers! Kris was the best of the Butlers, and was so helpful and fun always. Lovely location at the sea, especially the Breeze restaurant for breakfast and dinner. However, they need more staff as waiting an hour from ordering to receiving the food was most irritating. In that respect, the restaurant service was lousy. Drinks came quickly, but food didn't come for an inordinate amount of time.

We stayed four nights in a one bedroom villa in the main compound, and it was amazing. We were welcomed by Karmaya and his team from the start, and every single member of the team, from butlers, housekeeping, reception, and restaurant staff were very warm and attentive. We felt thoroughly taken care of during our stay. They graciously checked us in early, and offered a late checkout. The best aspects of Samaya are the direct beach access and view (the restaurant Breeze has superb views, and they have deck chairs lined up facing the beach), and the tranquility - it's an all villa resort so the deck chairs, cabanas, and main swimming pools never get crowded. I would recommend getting a villa at the main resort if you want easy access to the beach and beach views. Go for the courtyard villas only if you need more space (they're quite a bit bigger) and even more privacy. But note that the courtyard area is a 5 min buggy or 8 min walk away, and only has a swimming pool, gym, and satellite restaurant. The villa was amazing and very spacious, with a huge bathroom. The bathroom has an indoor shower, outdoor shower, and jacuzzi. The swimming pool is a decent size for two. All the TVs have Netflix, Apple TV, and Amazon Prime. Both the living room and outdoor patios had very comfortable sofa beds. The king size bed in the bedroom was lovely. The villa comes with all the usual amenities, though we wished Samaya provided comfortable bedroom slippers, rather than just (somewhat) hard sandals. As for the other facilities, the gym is well equipped and maintained, but is in the courtyard part of the resort. The spa is superb, with treatment tables facing the beach. The food at Breeze restaurant was excellent. We had a decadent breakfast - all freshly made to order. We highly recommend the Indonesian options! The villas come with a complimentary afternoon tea, which was very enjoyable even if not spectacular. We would certainly consider returning to Samaya!

Our first time in Bali with our 16 year old son. We have just spent 5 nights here before moving onto Ubud . We’ve travelled to many destinations and I have to say this place is the best we’ve ever been to. Stunning location and the villas are exceptional. Jacuzzi bath , double shower, cloakroom, separate toilet , main bedroom which is very spacious even with an extra bed for our son. Oh and who would possibly moan about having their own private pool. The management and staff here are the most helpful people you could ever meet. The breakfast which was included was excellent. 2 items of clothes per day per person laundered for free. Soft drinks and water in the fridge for free and to top it all 2 x person Balinese massages…….. oh and the meals are cheap and lovely we ordered room service a couple of times

We had the most beautiful stay at Samaya. Our villa was Devine! So big and luxurious. Breakfast included and bought to our room at a time that suited us was such a treat. The location was incredibly quiet even though it’s only a 2 minute stroll to the heart of seminak shopping. Food bought to the villa and at the restaurant was of a really high standard. Staff were really friendly and always helpful. Would absolutely recommend this place and can’t wait to return.

We had a fantastic time at Samaya, it’s a 5 star experience. The villas in a hotel is a great concept, you can stay and swim in your villa or go out and relax around there massive pool or overlook the ocean on the deck. We love their restaurant Breeze , the staff and chefs are fabulous, doesn’t disappoint when you’re watching the sunset with a holiday cocktail. Our Samaya visit was so relaxing. The villa suite was huge with a private pool and jacuzzi. The food was delicious, with a la carte breakfast served all day. The staff could not do enough and checked in regularly. Nothing was too much trouble. The Resort Service Manager was Karmaya and one day, on finding out I was unwell, went to the pharmacy for me. Over and above outstanding service. Just so kind.

Absolutely amazing resort! Every room is a stunning private villa with its own swimming pool and jacuzzi, all the villa are very spacious. The main pool area is fantastic, and the restaurant is excellent, especially with the beautiful ocean breeze creating the perfect atmosphere. The staff are incredibly friendly, professional, and always ready to assist with anything you need. If you’re dreaming of a tropical this resort is the perfect choice. Another amazing stay at the fabulous Samaya in Seminyak. We have stayed at The Samaya at least 15 times over the years. The dedicated staff have truly become our second family and make each stay better than the last. The service, outstanding meals at Breeze restaurant, the spa, all villas regardless of category, are of the highest quality. We experienced a fabulous island dinner with friends on our last night which was thoroughly enjoyed by us all. A night to remember. The Samaya is a very popular location for weddings and we saw at least 6 proposals during our stay. The atmosphere is truly calming and you will not get a better place to see the fabulous sunsets. Absolutely love coming back here every year. All of the staff, from front desk, butlers, gardeners, kitchen staff, spa contribute to making The Samaya the best resort to stay in. We stayed in a one-bedroom villa at Samaya Seminyak and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The villa itself was beautiful, incredibly comfortable, and impeccably clean, with fantastic facilities that made our stay feel luxurious and relaxing. What truly made the experience special was the staff. Every team member was so friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful, always offering assistance and making us feel like royalty throughout our stay. The location is also unbeatable, situated right on the beach. The pool area overlooking the ocean was peaceful, stunning, and the perfect place to relax and unwind. We couldn't have asked for a better stay and would highly recommend Samaya Seminyak to anyone looking for a luxurious beachfront getaway in Bali.

This is one of the resorts we have visited in Bali which we will definitely revisit in our future trip to Bali. Why? Well the villa is spacious with outdoor and indoor jacuzzi Most importantly we can have breakfast whenever we like!!! This is really nice cos we are late risers and can have breakfast brunch at 12:00pm. Our villa is close to the main pool and restaurant. The food is delicious and we can request for food not on the menus but suitable for us We visit Bali every other year but very seldom we would stay in the same resort unless it’s exceptional. To us we will definitely come again ask for the same villa❤️

We stayed at the Samaya Seminyak for 7 nights in two Royal Pool Villas. This was our third stay at the Samaya, and it did not disappoint. We were picked up by the Samaya in a luxurious van, and after a short trip were greeted by the staff and Karmaya, one of the managers. Karmaya is an outstanding manager who has always messages us prior to our arrival to ensure a seamless experience and to cater for any special requests. Karmaya truly goes above and beyond to make the Samaya experience feel special. He checks in with us each day to ensure everything is perfect (which we have never had a single issue!), and makes sure to stay up to date with our plans so his team can assist in any way. Karmaya is really a highlight of the Samaya experience. The villas were both impeccably clean. The housekeeping at The Samaya is a step above anywhere else we have stayed in Bali. The housekeepers always cleaned our villas while we were at breakfast, and completed turndown while we were out for dinner. This created a very streamlined experience where we would never return from breakfast/dinner to our villa being occupied for cleaning. Housekeeping always kept the villas perfectly clean and organised. Breakfast (which is an entirely al a carte menu) has always been good at the Samaya, but this stay we were thoroughly impressed. The service and food quality has been improved for an even better experience. The menu is extensive and has options for everyone. The butler team is also exceptional, and are on call 24 hours. The butler team is always very responsive and handle all requests professionally. The team is always reliable and more than willing to assist with any requests. A highlight is that the butlers are very proactive and walk around the resort, making sure that all your needs are taken care of before anything even arises. I would like to give a special call out to Yoga, who has been one of our butlers over our three stays at the Samaya. Yoga is very friendly and kind, and always goes above and beyond to ensure all our needs are taken care of. Yoga is really a highlight, and we have always looked forward to coming back and seeing him again. The villa pools were always kept clean, and get enough sunlight to stay warm. We also took advantage of the main pool, which is beautiful. The pool attendants always ensure it is impeccably clean and presentable, and are always proactive in getting towels, water, and setting up our lounge chairs/cabanas. Would like to give a special mention to Donny, who always looks after us by the pool. He is very friendly and is always trying to go above and beyond to make sure everything is set up for us and that we don't have to do anything but relax! I would also like to give a special shout out to one of the drivers. Unfortunately I cannot remember his name - but he was a young male. He drove us around Seminyak on a few occasions, and was always very friendly and professional. It was always a delight to see him working. We have stayed at many hotels and resorts in Bali, and The Samaya has always continually impressed. It truly is a special place to stay. Its fantastic location, staff, and facilities always impress. If you are considering a stay at the Samaya, go ahead and book. Now that we are home, we are already thinking about when we can return!

The second stay for my husband and I at The Samaya. It certainly won’t be the last. From breakfast overlooking the beach, the tranquil main pool area and the wonderful spa - all just beautiful. The staff were also outstandingly well trained and friendly. Also well located for restaurants and shopping. We can’t recommend highly enough. Thank you to Karmaya and the staff for a most relaxing stay. We look forward to next time.

We stayed here for four nights on our honeymoon and can’t speak highly enough of the hotel and its staff. The location was amazing, right on the beach and we got to watch the most gorgeous sunsets every night from the beach bar. It was walking distance to everything in Seminyak which we found really helpful but taxis were readily available if needed. The food in the restaurant was fantastic, we didn’t have a bad meal. Also really appreciated that we could have our breakfast at any time in the day, there was no cut off point. All of the staff were incredible, so friendly & couldn’t do enough for you. Special mention to Yoga, Nanda, Mirya, Harry, Surwada and Kristin but honestly all the staff were fantastic. The room was also great, absolutely massive and loved our private pool. We hope to be able to stay again soon.

the room and the resort facilities were fantastic. The room was large and felt clean and luxurious with a beautiful Balinese style. The food was well presented and great selection. The service of the staff was a stand out, nothing was a trouble and they were so welcoming with both us and our children. The spa was also a great experience. Currently at the end of 4 nights at The Samaya Seminak . Our villa which is a short buggy ride from the main hotel is huge extremely comfortable and quiet with no road noise or noise from other villas. The buggies arrive with in minutes everytime. The cleaning has been completed each day while at breakfast so there has been no waiting around for cleaning to be finished. Breakfast over looking beach every morning and they have been huge with massive selection . Also enjoyed complimentary afternoon teas served on our villas . Enjoyed the Balinese massage at the spa , Lena was amazing . We had lovely meals at Breezes . No matter where you are in the resort the staff have been super attentive and friendly . We will definitely be returning soon.

The villa was amazing - from the private pool to the bathroom and bedroom. Staff was great - very helpful and able to accommodate all our requests. This was a perfect place to stay.

Beautiful resort. The villa concept is private and perfect for couples. We went with our friends, they have the best view of the ocean and it feels like a villa instead of a resort. The food and ambience was fantastic. Drinks by the beach, watching the sunset. The service is excellent. Definitely repeating this experiment.

From the time of our arrival at Denpasar International Airport until our departure we were treated with the upmost kindness, efficiency, respect and professionalism of any holiday we have undertaken. While the resort is not new, it retains the amazing charm of Bali. Our accommodation was amazing with a HUGE 4 poster bed, complete with mosquito nets and extremely comfortable pillows, situated in a large room with comfortable lounges. A huge bathroom with large spa (for two), two basins, walk in change room and storage, 10 metre swimming pool (approx 1.6m deep), and a golf buggy ride on demand from our accommodation to the restaurant/bar set up on Seminyak beach. The restaurant is award winning and delivered. A good range of foods with offerings from Aussie and Indonesian food cultures. The attention from the staff from the chef to the trainee table waiter was absolutely first class. While the restaurant is situated within the resort it is open to the public. One night my wife ( not a 'quantity' eater ) left a portion on her plate and within minutes the chef was at the table asking if everything was alright!! Afternoon tea is a 'high tea' with choice of drinks and light food to tide you over until dinner. The grounds were immaculate in spite of winds and rain from time to time and there was 'subtle ' security at all points of the entire complex. (As our accommodation was approximately 400 metres from the main resort, either the buggy ride or walk involved negotiating a very busy road. However there was always a security person with a flag who would jump out onto the road and stop traffic so we could advance.) Teams of staff led by a 'Butler' were responsible for shuttle bus, buggy, getting us to and from our accommodation and ensuring that the rooms were maintained to a high standard. These people were so friendly and efficient. We caught up with one of the senior managers who was entertaining some local government officials inspecting damage to the beachfront from recent extreme weather, who made a special effort to come over and introduce himself and check if everything was ok. Bottom line: you could not find a better place to put your head down, and the world would be a far better place if it were filled with Balinese people of the calibre we met here!

From the time we arrived I knew this would be fabulous. A view straight through to the sea. We had stayed for several nights prior at the Samaya Ubud - 5 plus stars, see my review - and all our requisite information had been copied over, so check in was seamless. We had a welcome drink in the bar and were then escorted to our villa. WoW!! A 10 meter pool, you can actually do laps in it. A 'front' room - sofa, fridge, big tv; a bedroom, huge bed, tv; an enormous bathroom area. Outside shower, inside shower, big spa bath. We loved it. The food was great, the staff were lovely, attentive but not overly so. There are so many places to stay on the beachfront from Kuta northwards - and I should say I first came to Bali in 1979 - but this is the best I've experienced. Hands down top. ,

An absolutely wonderful stay !! The location, the rooms , the restaurant and mostly the service were all amazing. Magical in every way

We had arranged a transfer from the airport, and the driver ensured a smooth relaxing start to our stay. We were well received at the hotel with the overwhelming impressive initial sight of the grounds and pool with the ocean in the background. We were early so had a short wait for our Villa to be ready but were well looked after in the seafront dining area. After a short wait a buggy took us the short drive to our Villa. There were 5 of us so we had 3 big bedrooms and a large pool in a wide area of total quiet and privacy. The Villa was always maintained to a very high standard. It was a short walk back to the main hotel or a quick buggy ride with a wait time of a couple of minutes. Breakfast was a la carte and a pleasant relaxing occasion on the sea front. There were numerous sun beds and umbrellas overlooking the beach and staff support was reasonable. The pool was massive and generally not busy. Sunset and Happy Hour was an amazing experience and one to be enjoyed every night. We only ate at the restaurant once, but the food and service were good and the location excellent. Overall, there was little to fault with hotel and the staff were without exception tremendous.

The Villa itself had a few minor upgrades needed but was definitely the only negative, the villa was beautiful and the team was absolutely amazing and I can not speak highly enough about how welcoming and accommodating they all were, nothing was to much trouble. Big shout out to Kris one of the butlers who made our stay most enjoyable and was only to happy to help with anything.

Besides the fact my partner and I did get a little sick on our stay all the team showed care and concern even then so I dont think I really have anything negative to say about our stay.

코트야드(신관)으로 예약하실분들은 잘 생각 해보셨으면 합니다. 1.가장 안쪽으로 배정 받았는데 너무 구석지고, 생각보다 거리가있어서 불편하더라구요(이날만 그런건지 몰라도 끝쪽엔 전부 한국인이였어요) 2.배달음식 받기가 너무 불편합니다. 매번 리셉션에 가져다 달라고 요청해야하고, 개인적으로 받으려면 스미냑 스퀘어까지 나가야해요.. 3.조식도 형편 없었습니다. 가격이 5성급 치고도 굉장히 비싸서 기대했는데 알릴라나 리젠트로 갈껄 후회했어요. 다음엔 절대 안갈거같고, 도착했을때 캐리어 들어주는분도 안계시더군요... 계단이 얼마 안되지만 이정도 서비스도 안되있습니다. 오래되서 그런지 노후된곳도 많고, 이 가격이면 다른데 가세요

Just spent 6 nights here in one of the bigger villas with private pool. On arrival, it had rained and the stairs down from reception were covered in mats and were lethal! One slipped under my foot and down I went. Just a jot to my bad shoulder but no real damage done. Staff were quick to help but if you put mats down on wet steps, they need not to slip themselves. Our villa was large and well laid out with a big lounge, pool, bedroom and enormous bathroom, like 74m2! Very clean and in reasonable condition except for some overhead concrete spalling in the outdoor shower area which was clearly ready to fall down on someone's head. Maintenance when informed packed us off for a free massage whilst they fixed the problem. Stuff happens and this was an excellent response to a serious problem. The staff are great and the massages excellent. We only ate breakfast there and were a bit disappointed that there was no buffet for continental food. The bacon is charred to a crisp and not to this Englishman's liking. I'm sure that English style bacon would be way more popular. Lovely big shallow/deep pool and relatively quite as everyone had their own pool. It doesn't look like this resort is overly wheelchair/disabled person friendly. Not sure it's the place for highly active young families, more of an adults place really which we like.

The staff at the Samaya were exceptionally friendly and efficient from the moment we arrived. They had arranged a shuttle collection from the airport, and we were given an early check-in on arrival. The grounds and layout of the Samaya are just wonderful. Designed to make you feel instantly relaxed and at ease. The onsite Spa treatments are certainly a little more expensive than on the high street, but the girls are trained, and the treatments are excellent. The restaurant serves tasty options and has a perfect view of the spectacular daily sunset and the royal villa we stayed in was equally wonderful. Yes, it was looking a little frayed around the edges (buildings do not stay shiny for long in the Balanese tropics) but it was incredibly well laid out which made everything easy and relaxing and it still felt luxurious in spite of its age. The Samaya is also superbly located close to the main shopping streets as well as many other restaurant options. Throughout our stay, the staff were attentive and helpful particularly Karmaya who made event reservations at our request, organised transits etc...even organised a vegetarian menu for Christmas dinner for my wife!!...We loved our stay at the Samaya, and we hope to return very soon.

As a family that regularly stays at Bali’s top-tier institutions like the Four Seasons, The Legian, and Amankila, we have a clear expectation of the "5-star" standard. While The Samaya has excellent housekeeping and drivers, the lack of management oversight and several safety/health issues made this a deeply disappointing stay. The Positives Our 3-bedroom villa (Room 333) featured wonderful beds and pillows. The housekeeping team is the best I have ever seen—expertly maintaining the rooms every day. The buggy drivers were also a highlight: prompt, professional, and very attentive. I regret not being able to thank them personally upon our departure. Safety & Health Red Flags • Electrical Hazard: We experienced an electric shock/current running through our outdoor daybed. It was a low-voltage jolt, but enough to make us jump. When we called service, the response was incredibly dismissive; we were told it was "fine" because they had "connected the wires." This is an unacceptable response to a safety hazard in any hotel. • Medical Issues: My daughter suffered severe gastritis after a juice at breakfast on our first day, requiring an IV and medication from the Bali Clinic. Later in the week, my son and I also felt unwell after breakfast. For a family that has visited Bali for 16 years, this was a first. • Dining Quality: The Christmas Eve dinner was odd, tasteless, and served cold. General breakfast service felt untrained—dirty plates were left to pile up, and on one occasion, a lunch order took 1.5 hours only to arrive as the wrong dish. Service & Management Failures The management seems to provide very little direction to the staff. We were ignored at the beach deck and told to fetch our own towels by an unsmiling attendant. Communication regarding transportation was also poor. We arranged a hotel car for dinner, but when we were ready to return, we were told to find our own Uber as the service had ended at 10:00 PM—a detail never mentioned during the booking. While the hotel covered the 50,000 IDR taxi fare, they later tried to apply a 30% surcharge to add that $5 AUD amount to my final bill. It was a matter of principle; I shouldn't be charged a premium because the hotel failed to communicate their own shuttle hours. Verdict The Samaya is being let down by a lack of training and a casual attitude toward guest safety and service. Compared to the high-standard properties just a few hundred yards away, this experience was not up to par.

We had Christmas Day there and was absolutely amazing! The food was another level 🫶 Service and cocktails excellent 🫶🥂

The hotel had wedding party going on during our stay which they did not informed us in the first place. They must had allocated more staff focused on the wedding party which did not enough of staff serving at the breakfast place. We have been waited for 1.5 hours and still no breakfast served. Complaint this issue to hotel manager but no improved. Very disappointing. Not 5 stars service experience for sure. Won’t be returning again unfortunately!

It is a dream come true staying at the Samaya, pure bliss. The resort, stunning villas, wonderful restaurant, the beautiful and friendly staff, the relaxing haven which is the spa and all of the little touches are all unbelievable. 10/10 recommend you stay here and experience pure luxury. We loved the pools, outdoor shower, attention to detail and overall experience.
