Reviewed Mar 3, 2026This hotel earns a mixed review. We stayed in some fabulous hotels in India - where the hospitality was exceptional (The Oberoi and Leela!!!). Arriving here, we constantly felt that we were a bother. The front desk staff was not welcoming. The restaurant had a ton of staff and all 3 times we went there, it as as though we were an inconvenience. A staff member literally closed a door in our face. It was so different than the other hotels we stayed. The room, however, was one of the nicest we stayed in. It had a private pool and was clean and very nice. Despite that, I would NOT RECOMMEND.

The common areas and Elan restaurant were cold. We were there in January and I was so cold at dinner I had to ask for a blanket! I am from the UK so used to cold but the temperature was not comfortable.

Reviewed Jan 7, 2026Genuine 5 star. Had lovely, clean and spacious room with a pool. “Welcome to the Lodhi” written in flower petals in our room (when we arrived) was a nice touch. Room service was excellent. Breakfast was excellent- except for one day. The facilities were excellent. Really enjoyed playing pickle ball with one of the staff, very cheerfully, acting as ball boy.
Only issue was one morning (Sunday) for breakfast. Staff were organizing a Sunday brunch event and the breakfast area seemed short staffed. No one to greet us / take us to our table for some time. Difficulty getting service once seated and repeatedly got our order wrong. I should add that the only reason this stood out was because everything else about our stay was perfect.

Reviewed Oct 25, 2025The hotel itself is lovely - it's a 5* hotel after all - with a slightly brutalist vibe to it. Breakfast was good and the pool area was lovely.
The so-called 'Garden View' room had no view of the garden. It was dark, with limited natural light, and had a view out onto some manmade tennis courts only. Straight up false advertising. More widely, the hotel's brutalist ambience would rely on sharp lines to really deliver, but sadly but quite a few of these are looking a fuzzy. There's quite a bit of chipped and broken stonework around the property, taking the edge of the sleek appearance.

Reviewed Oct 9, 2025Our room was nice with an enormous bathroom and balcony but with some odd quirks in terms of furniture positioning. The staff was excellent and always helpful. I had never stayed in this part of New Delhi and enjoyed exploring the Lodhi Gardens and Humayun's Tomb during free time. The Bakery near the entrance is convenient. Food was great if a bit pricey by Indian standards.
My only criticism is that this is a vast property somewhat disconnected from the city by its location and enormity. I like walking, and did that, but needed to run across some busy intersections. The architecture and layout emphasizes hugeness over intimacy.
