Hotel Monterey Grasmere Osaka

Good size room for Japanese standards. Easy to find. Central to restaurants and shops. Good views of Osaka.

This time the staff, room and cleanliness, was excellent. This is my fifth time staying at this hotel and I can see how they have improved over the years. Location is just perfect. The Namba station is a five minute walk and shopping at Dotonbori is very close as well.

The room, breakfast, and location is really good

The placement of the hotel above Namba station and Jr Namba makes it ideal from moving around osaka. Also there is a supermarket in bf1 level so shopping for amenities is so easy. The view from the hotel on the rooms that look out is exceptional especially at night.

The mattress at the bed is old and the springs inside pop out and the thin extra bed cover doesn't make any change at all. Also the pillows have small plastic spheres inside that make them extremely uncomfortable. We had to ask for soft pillows that were eventually provided.

Location and size of room

My son and I left a few items (AirPods and my jacket) we immediately informed them. But they couldn’t find them. Which is strange and asked us to follow once new guest leaves. I literally left my jacket hanging inside the closet. So they didn’t check? AirPods were left by bedside. Find my AirPods could show location and after a day it had a different location so obviously someone took it. Was expecting more because it’s a 4 star hotel and it’s Japan

Excellent location!

Water pressure for showers was not always consistent. It frequently got extremely hot or extremely cold in the middle of a shower

Great breakfast buffet with both western and Japanese food.

Still no whole grain bread.

Good breakfast and the sleeping ware is comfortable

The outside is very noisy and no staff helped us to get the luggage’s into the room

Great view and location.

The room was fairly dirty (mainly the floors).

Sehr gute Lage. Zimmer geräumig. Ausstattung okay. Top ist die gesicherte Aufbewahrung von Gepäck. Alles in allem eine gute Unterkunft.

Der Checkin ist unnötig langwierig. Personal-Automat-Personal. Man muss halt fragen.

The location was convenient to the trains and walkable to restaurants and shopping in the area. I was very fond of the daily breakfast buffet. The options were so plentiful that it was possible to enjoy a different breakfast every morning and the view during breakfast was priceless.

Tutto

Location is excellent for transport and food. Staff were brilliant and accommodated our requests for cleaning services and luggage forwarding.

An on-site launderette would have made it perfect.

Very comfortable and big rooms, near to Dotonbori next to Namba station, very friendly staff, easy and fast luggage transfer. Extra points for mouthwash and cosmetic mirror.

Would choose two separate beds for us next time as double bed is a bit tiny for two not so small people ;). Occasional bad smell from the drains.

Bellissima struttura, camera grande. Colazione eccellente

Ubicación inmejorable. A 7 minutos andando, llegas a Dotonbori.

The breakfast was great with a variety to suit many nationalities. The location was ideal for our arrival from Osaka Kansai airport as we used the OCAT and airport limousine bus. The hotel room was comfortable and quiet.

The room by European standards was slightly small but big enough for 2 people and their luggage. The reception was on the 22 floor.

N.A.

It was well located.

Nothing.

Wonderful breakfast with an even more breathtaking view from the window.

We were quite disappointed that we were unable to leave our luggage at the hotel for one night after checking out. This was quite inconvenient for us, especially as we only needed to store our suitcases temporarily.

Hotel très bien placé. Prestations soignées. Personnel parfait.

Bel hotel!

Proximity to everything was great, friendly staff, linens changed everyday and room always cleaned and looked after

Beds were pretty hard as well as the pillows

Lo stile british

Location was amazing right in the centre of everyhting. Easy train access and nearly a mile (2 there and back) of underground mall, with every food option you could ask for.

Really small gripe, irons are not provided in the room as standard but they are free of charge, Laundry service a bit expensive but tbh they came back amazing and pressed.

This hotel feels like home when returning here. My family will not stay or try any where else in Osaka that's how good it is. Cleanliness is exception and the location to The Walk, Dotonbori, Den Den and the subways is amazing. Another bonus is have the DCM department store straight underneath the hotel.

Nothing to complain about

Personnel serviable, chambres propres et localisation centrale

stunning view,near everything,mall under,perfect breakfast,spacious room for Japan

Skvělá lokace blízko Namba station umožňuje cestovat pohodlně i v tom vedru.

Ocenili bychom 2 pokrývky místo jedné pro dva. Příště si řekneme :-)

Very nice room and good location. The staff was very helpful

Fantastic hotel I will miss it. Might come back

De locatie dichtbij Namba en de Dotonbori.

Het ‘grote’ tweepersoonsbed was kleiner dan verwacht.

Everything

Nothing

I loved the location—it was close to everything and very convenient. The staff were friendly, polite, and professional.

The rooms were quite small, which is why we had to book two rooms. There was also a very unpleasant smell coming from the carpet, which negatively affected our stay.

Emplacement impeccable

Great location at Namba station. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The room was very good with great view from the 31st' floor. Recommended.

good location

staff not helpful even when seeing guests have difficulty with their luggage

Stunning hotel. Breakfast view of Osaka amazing. Great location, easy stroll to Dotonbori, subway station outside. Super clean and fabulous breakfast.

O tamanho do quarto para o padrão do Japão e a localização. O café da manhã é excepcional.

The hotel is in a very good location, and the rooms are clean. Housekeeping does an excellent job. Unfortunately, the weakest part of the hotel is everything related to the reception and guest services. For example, when our luggage arrived, nobody informed us. When we went to the reception to ask about it, they handed us the suitcases, but unlike other hotels in this category, they did not send them up to our room. We had to carry all of our luggage ourselves. The breakfast restaurant has a beautiful view, and the quality of the breakfast is good. However, it was disappointing that breakfast is served on plastic trays with plastic plates while Vivaldi’s classical music is playing in the background to create an elegant atmosphere. The contrast between the intended ambiance and the dining experience is quite striking. Overall, we expected more from a hotel of this standard. Unfortunately, we will choose a different hotel on our next visit.
