Besakih Beach Hotel

I enjoyed staying at the Besakih Hotel, staff were friendly and prompt to act. The walk through the grounds to the pool and beach gave a charm to the tradition of the hotel. It is an older hotel, I would definitely stay again, it felt homely. Great location.

Un hôtel charmant avec un personnel très gentil et arrangeant. Le jardin est extrêmement agréable et soigné, la piscine très jolie et la plage privée très propre et agréable. L hôtel est parfaitement placé pour se baigner, se balader le long de la mer, manger, faire du shopping. L ambiance globale est très chaleureuse. Nous avons eu une chambre avec une salle de bain rénovée propre et agréable. Nous regrettons de n avoir passé qu une seule nuit dans cet endroit. Petit déjeuner assez varié.

Pas grand chose si ce n est que la chambre manque peut être d un peu de luminosité mais c est vraiment pour signaler qq chose car cela ne nous a pas dérangé.

Perfect location right on the beachfront, kids loved the gardens and the ponds full of fish, staff were so friendly and the place was lovely and clean. Would defo go back such good value for money compared to all the other expensive resorts this had real character and charm and didn't cost the earth :)

The pool was dirty and when I told them day after day they kept saying that no one has mentioned it. They made no effort. Both pools were covered in algae. I went up and down the beach front from the port to the far end by bike and they had the dirtiest pools that I saw. The mattress was hard and uncomfortable. The AC quit working randomly. The bathroom was not cleaned properly before we arrived. The mirror was filthy.

The highlight of this accommodation was definitely the location! 🌴 It’s right on the main high street, surrounded by plenty of restaurants, cafés and little places to explore, while also being right along the coastline. The hotel is just steps away from the beach and really easy to get to. It was also super convenient to rent a bike and explore the area, especially for catching the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets. 🌅🚲 Overall, a great location if you want everything within easy reach while still being close to the beach!

I completely understand that we’re not in Europe and that cleaning standards can sometimes differ, but unfortunately, I felt that the overall cleanliness wasn’t quite up to the standard I would have expected. The bathroom in particular could have been cleaner — the bathroom mat and toilet paper holder were visibly yellow, and there was no hand soap provided. When we asked for some, we were told that hand soap wasn’t included for that type of room, which I found quite surprising. There were also a few communication issues during our stay. I’m not sure whether this was simply a language barrier or if there was sometimes a misunderstanding, but it did make a few situations a little frustrating. One other thing that was disappointing was the use of the pool sunbeds. There were guests who would leave their towels on the sunbeds and then disappear for breakfast or go for walks for hours, meaning the beds were technically occupied but not actually being used. As a result, we sometimes couldn’t find anywhere to sit by the pool, which was a shame. Overall, I think a little more attention to cleanliness, communication and pool etiquette would really improve the experience.

Staff very friendly, location great within walking distance to lot's of different restaurants, pools right on the beach front, great massage place right across the road and a good laundry service a little way down the road.

Our first room had issues with a blocked toilet, maintenance man came straight away but it didn't make much difference so we were able to move to another room.

The location is fabulous and the large garden area is gorgeous.

The room is incredibly old fashioned and very dirty and in desperate need of renovation. The bathroom door was peeling, sink blocked, shower tiles broken and mouldy. The bed was not comfy and bedding had a musty smell. The swimming pool was green and did not go in it.

l'hotel è in un ottima posizione praticamente davanti al mare con una piscina vista mare. E' sicuramente quello che abbiamo preferito di tutto il soggiorno.

Sinceramente le camere ci hanno molto deluso in quanto sono abbastanza datate e non c'è stato un restyling. Un po' tutto l'arredamento andrebbe rivisto. Anche i bagni andrebbero rivisti.

Breakfast was not good. Such good food in Bali, ended up going elsewhere for breakfast. It wasn’t really edible here.

Towels smelled bad every single day! Sun loungers around the pool are “saved” first thing in the morning by people who don’t use them until later in the day. Restaurant staff were not welcoming or interested in service

Everything in the room is very run-down, old and tired. Beds uncomfortably hard, one pillow only per bed. Linen thin and yellowed. Towels thin and frayed around the edges. Floor and table tops sticky. Restaurant 4/10. Maybe coincidence, but I developed conjunctivitis the day after leaving.

My room was run down. Toilet had to be fixed twice. TV didn’t work. Sheets in need of an upgrade. Fridge needed defrosting. The place is just tired.

The property is very old …. The bathrooms have cracked tiles and are dirty and outdated . They need to refurbish bathrooms !!!!! At least it didn’t smell !

Some of the staff were not that friendly. Pak Robert on reception was excellent though and also the cleaning staff and garden staff and bar staff were all friendly.

After a gap of many years, we once again returned to stay at the Besakih Beach Hotel in Sanur. Little had changed and it was as pleasant as always. We had plumbing issues in our original room, and ended up being moved to another room. As a consequence we were given a late checkout (until 6:00pm) without charge, which was greatly appreciated. Breakfast had changed - now a mostly buffet style, with eggs and yogurt still provided by request. I have to say that the eggs were excellent. Staff were very friendly, as always. Besakih represents very good value for money and has a great location.

Plumbing can be an issue.

The location was great and the staff very friendly and helpful enjoyed our stay, lovely grounds, swimming pool and beach lounge area, relaxed and peaceful place to enjoy the sun.

There was nothing I didn’t like

Great location, central to everything, the pool overlooking the beach was perfect. Food and drinks were reasonably priced and very tasty. Really friendly staff and the bed was super comfortable and the shower was hot with good pressure.

De ligging is goed en de tuin is erg mooi.

Slecht onderhouden kamer hadden wij en het was er zeer vochtig, alles was klam en de grond nat. Hierdoor rook het er erg muf. Helaas wij hadden beter gehoopt als verwoede Bali gangers. Prijs kwaliteit komt zeker niet overeen.

This is in an excellent location on the beach promenade in Sanur and in walking distance to the ICON mall with lots of restaurant options close to the resort. The resort is right on the beach, however the room needs upgrading especially the bathroom. There is no elevator and unfortunately I had a fall down the stairs and had an injury. The reception staff was also not the best with the checking in and out. The place was cheap considering how great the location was.

The bathroom curtains and tub were not clean.-it was stained and definitely needs an upgrade. There was no elevator in the building. The room needs an upgrade.

Das ganze Hotel ist stark veraltet und ungepflegt. Schimmel und Schmutz in den Zimmern und Badezimmern. Pool veraltet und schmutzig. Überall stehen kaputte, alte Möbel und Matratzen herum. Frosch im Zimmer... Ich habe mich hier weder wohl noch sicher gefühlt und bin früher abgereist.

Absolute beachfront in an area surrounded by all sorts of shops. Cafes , massage options and an excellent view of the ocean.

It's a little older than surrounding beachfront properties, our room was basic, dated. Bed was very firm. However, for the price it is outstanding value.

I've stayed here before. Old style Bali hotel, right on the Sanur beachfront, so easy access to the boardwalk, pool overlooks the boardwalk, so good for people watching. Plenty of sunlounges on the beach to watch the ocean, have a drink or a meal. Easy walk to lots of other restaurants etc. Good aircon, enjoyed my stay. Helpful staff.

I loved my stay at Besakih Beach Hotel. The beachfront location is excellent, with direct access to the beach and Sanur’s walking path, while also being close to shops and restaurants. The gardens are beautiful and peaceful, the pool area is lovely, and the whole hotel has a relaxed traditional Balinese atmosphere. It was the perfect place to spend my final two nights in Bali, enjoying the sea, pool and surroundings. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I felt very comfortable throughout my stay

I loved the location as this hotel is on the beach in the centre of Sanur. The beach was gorgeous and the swim up bar in the pool was fun. I enjoyed the breakfasts and the gardens and the way my balcony was very private. There are some amazing birds and cute little squirrels in the garden.

If you looking for quite place to stay this is the perfect one.. the location is perfect many conviniance store, go to icon mall in walking distance. In weekend easy to find sate babi and gorengan sanur, for me this hotel is perfect for introvert family that dont like noises and crowd. Absollutly perfect. The staff also verry helpfull, they are nice and always try to fullfil your request. Verry good guys.

Not something that i dont like, i have zero complain about this place. Maybe just litlle downside about this hotel is a bit old fashion hotel, not complain eventhou is olf fashion this hotel absolutly clean.

We have stayed at this property on and off for 30 years. There are lots of wonderful things about the property, including the staff that have been around for a long time, but it does need a bit of an update.

The pool and the breakfast menu was very good. It was at the beach which was useful and it was around good shops and restaurants.

The room was ok, the shower was low pressure, but it was good enough for sleeping in

The rooms are really old, no safe, the towels were old looking and the bathroom was old and grubby I didn’t want to shower in it. The room was flooded by the air conditioner when we arrived back but they did come and fix it straight away. The staff were very nice though.

Location was excellent, food was excellent, friendly staff and the pools were very clean.

Shower over the bath, and I only had 7 nights there, I wish I could have stayed much longer.
