Location is so convenient. The back door of the hotel leads directly to Nanjing Road Pedestrian walking street. The service is in the hotel is great! From assisting with our parcels from online deliveries, to information and luggage storage when we left for a few days to go Suzhou before returning to the hotel - they were patient and friendly. The details in the family room are beyond our expectation. The kid loves the little tent, the cute slippers in kids size and the welcome snacks, even the toothbrush is so cute for the kids. The extra sofa bed was exceptionally big (like a double bed) and comfortable. Overall, we had a great stay and will come back again.

Très bon petit déjeuner, plus orienté vers la nourriture chinoise qu'occidentale, et avec un très grand choix. Le petit déjeuner occidental est très bon aussi. La salle de restaurant est agréable, et le personnel attentif.

Dans le hall de l'hôtel, des fauteuils supplémentaires seraient appréciés. Cependant j'ai pu profiter sans avoir à consommer, de large fauteuil dans l'espace réservé au "high tea" de l'après midi.

I like the location. very close to all the shops and restaurants. Approx 20 minutes walk to the river by the bunde. Also close to the Metro station, which is crucial for getting around.

I think the bathroom facilities need updating. They are adequate, but a little bit dated and a little bit tired looking.

Wonderful Family Stay with Outstanding Service We had a wonderful stay at Crowne Plaza Shanghai, especially travelling with our family. The hotel has a great location on Nanjing Road, making it very convenient to explore Shanghai, with plenty of shopping, restaurants, and attractions nearby. One of the highlights for our children was the Kids Theme Family Room. It was such a lovely touch and made our stay extra special for the kids. The family-friendly setup was comfortable, thoughtful, and added a wonderful element to our Shanghai trip. The staff throughout the hotel were friendly, welcoming, and attentive, but I would especially like to compliment Duty Manager, Mr. Gavin, for his outstanding service. We encountered a booking discrepancy with our reservation through Booking.com, which initially caused some concern. Mr. Gavin handled the situation with exceptional professionalism, patience, and genuine care. He went above and beyond to assist us, finding a solution and providing a magnificent service recovery. His personal attention and willingness to help truly exceeded our expectations. What impressed us most was that he didn't simply resolve the issue, he made sure that we felt valued and well taken care of as guests. His warm and professional approach is a wonderful reflection of the level of hospitality the hotel strives to provide. Overall, we had a fantastic family experience at Crowne Plaza Shanghai. From the excellent location and Kids Theme Family Room to the friendly staff and exceptional service from Mr. Gavin, our stay was truly memorable. A special thank you to Mr. Gavin for turning a potentially stressful situation into a positive and memorable experience. He is certainly an outstanding asset to the hotel. We would be very happy to stay here again and highly recommend Crowne Plaza Shanghai to families visiting Shanghai!

Best location for exhibition visits. Will definitely try to book again on the next visit. Good options for Halal food nearby. Cleanliness was spot on. Nanjing street always offers the best option for any traveler, to wind up a busy day.

La ubicacion: Esta en la calle peatonal Nanjing, que ademas de tener mucho comercio, se la puede transitar para llegar al Bund. Ademas tiene estacion de metro muy cerca que conecta con todas las lineas de metro y ambos aeropuertos.

El WiFi es limitado y no tiene VPN como si tienen algunos otros hoteles de ese nivel. Al no tener VPN limita mucho la navegacion y poder usar aplicaciones de Occidente.

Είναι πολυτελές και καθαρό σε εξαιρετικό σημείο.

Είχαμε πληρωμένο πρωινό για όλους μας αλλά οι έφηβες κόρες μας δεν μπορούσαν να ξυπνήσουν στο ωράριο…. Θέλαμε να πάρουμε ένα μπολάκι δημητριακά με γάλα για την κάθε μία στο δωμάτιο και τους έπιασε πανικός… θα μπορούσαν να είναι πιο διαλεκτικοί αλλά επειδή δεν γνωρίζουν αγγλικά δεν είναι και εύκολο να τους εξηγήσεις. Με λίγα λόγια πληρώναμε 19€ το άτομο επιπλέον για λίγα δημητριακά. Σε γενικές γραμμές το πρωινό είναι 90% Ασιατικό οπότε θεωρώ ότι για μη Ασιάτες είναι πολύ ακριβό! Μπορείς να βγεις από την πόρτα του ξενοδοχείου και να φας με πολύ χαμηλότερη τιμή το ίδιο πρωινό.

We had a wonderful stay and were very happy with everything. From the moment we arrived, we felt very welcome and well taken care of. The room was beautiful, very comfortable and exactly as we had requested, which we really appreciated. The breakfast was excellent, with a great selection and everything we needed to start the day. The location was also perfect and made exploring the city very easy and convenient. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and really enjoyed our stay. Everything met or even exceeded our expectations. We would definitely stay here again and can highly recommend this hotel. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable!

Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut. Ich bin sehr spät angereist und ich konnte kostenlos bis 14 Uhr mein Zimmer nutzen. Das Personal war aussergewöhnlich nett und zuvorkommend.

The location was prime! There were a lot of restaurants, shopping centers around the area. Ease of access for car rides was also a great factor. I think overall, pretty decent.

There was a lingering cigarette smell in the lobby and hotel hallways. As a non-smoker this can really put you off and make you dizzy. I understand there’s a high smoking population outside but it must be maintained. Clothes need to be wash or kept clear of smoke. This was probably my biggest concern.

La struttura si trova in un’ottima posizione albergo da fuori nella hall è veramente molto bello all’interno.

Devo dire che le stanze standard richiamano una vecchia tipologia di albergo. Senz’altro immobili sono di pregio ma in un albergo cinque stelle non è pensabile che nella camera standard ci non ci sia una doccia separata dalla vasca. sono barriere architettoniche non più accettabili. Al check-in il giorno dell’arrivo abbiamo avuto grossi problemi con lo staff sia per quanto riguarda la prenotazione fatta tramite booking sia per quanto riguarda la tipologia senza assegnato dopo lunghe discussioni con lo staff siamo comunque giunti ad una soluzione positiva. non mi è piaciuto che lo staff mi abbia detto che se non volevo correre il rischio di problemi sarebbe stato preferibile prenotare la stanza direttamente dal sito dell’albergo piuttosto che attraverso gli intermediari.

L’anglais du personnel est parfois assez limité, mais nous avons toujours réussi à trouver des solutions pour nous faire comprendre. En revanche, notre arrivée nous a laissé une impression assez mitigée. Nous venions tout juste d’atterrir après un vol de plus de 12 heures et nous étions très chargés en bagages. À la descente du taxi, personne n’est venu spontanément nous proposer de l’aide, ce qui nous a surpris pour un hôtel 5 étoiles. Un membre du personnel nous a ensuite accompagnés jusqu’à notre chambre. Il était très peu souriant et nous avons clairement eu l’impression de le déranger. Arrivés devant la chambre, il a laissé tous nos bagages sur le palier, sans en déposer un seul à l’intérieur, puis nous a simplement fait un signe de la main donnant l’impression de dire « c’est bon, débrouillez-vous ». Après plus de 12 heures de vol, avec autant de bagages, nous avons trouvé cette attitude particulièrement peu accueillante et très éloignée du service que l’on peut attendre d’un établissement 5 étoiles. Le Crowne Plaza n’est certes pas l’hôtel au standing le plus élevé parmi ceux où nous avons séjourné en Chine, mais il reste tout de même classé 5 étoiles, et nous nous attendions donc à un niveau de service plus attentionné. Autre détail qui nous a déçus : la chambre avait été réservée pour 3 personnes, mais rien n’avait réellement été prévu pour le couchage de la troisième personne. Il a fallu réclamer les couvertures supplémentaires. Lorsque la réservation est faite pour 3 personnes, il nous semblerait normal que le couchage soit entièrement préparé avant l’arrivée. Dans l’ensemble, notre séjour s’est bien passé, mais plusieurs détails de service ne correspondent pas, selon nous, au niveau attendu d’un hôtel 5 étoiles.

The hotel itself benefits from an excellent central location on Nanjing Road and the property is generally of the standard you would expect from an international brand. However, service felt surprisingly rigid and not particularly guest-oriented. Problems that could have been solved easily with clear communication and a little flexibility instead became unnecessary frustrations. For an IHG Crowne Plaza property, we expected a much more consistent level of communication, hospitality and problem-solving.

Unfortunately, our experience at Crowne Plaza Shanghai Nanjing Road was disappointing, mainly because of the communication and the very rigid way several situations were handled. Communication with the hotel before arrival was difficult and, at times, almost nonexistent. We had specifically informed the hotel that one of the guests would be celebrating a birthday during the stay and politely asked whether they could arrange a small complimentary gesture or attention for the occasion. Nothing was provided and there was no meaningful follow-up regarding the request. Another unpleasant surprise concerned payment. Our reservation was clearly made on a pay at the property basis, yet the card provided for the booking was charged approximately two days before arrival. This was unexpected and added to the feeling that communication around the reservation was poor. The biggest issue, however, was breakfast. We had booked rooms for families travelling with children and contacted the hotel in advance specifically to clarify the breakfast arrangements. We explained that children would be staying in the rooms and asked whether any additional breakfast charges would apply. We were told that this would be determined at check-in depending on the children's height. At check-in, the hotel did not request any additional payment for breakfast and did not advise us that there was any issue with the number of breakfasts included. Despite this, on the second and third mornings of the stay, one member of the family was suddenly not allowed to have breakfast because some of the children were considered adults for breakfast purposes based on their height. What made the situation even more frustrating was that, at that point, the family member was not simply asked to pay an additional breakfast charge — there was effectively no practical option offered to resolve the situation and have breakfast. For a family hotel stay, this was handled extremely poorly.

The location is excellent, the breakfast is exceptional, so much variety.

L'emplacement de l'hôtel est exceptionnel, aux pieds de Nanjing Road qui est un must à visiter, près de commerces, de restaurants... belle réception, belle chambre (nous avions une chambre au 21eme étage). Petit déjeuner tres varié et tres bon. Très bon rapport qualité prix

Notre chambre était un peu vieillissantes bien que confortable, elle gagnerait en qualité s'ils changeaient les sanitaires et l'appareillage électrique. Le personnel à la réception parle tres peu anglais.

Location is brilliant! We had a junior suite and was what you would expect. Lots of space, bath, high floor and seperate sleeping space. Perfect. Staff were super helpful and approachable.

ジムはマシンが比較的充実しています。卓球台が1台あり、家族で楽しめました。プールには監視員が2人か3人いて、一応安全を担保しています。水質も問題なく、体調を崩すようなことはありませんでした。

朝食のバラエティが富んでいてとても良いです。あえて付け加えるならば、中国のマストイートが揃っていると毎朝現地食を堪能できてなお良しです。

よくよく思い返すと、シャワーの勢いが弱めです。ただ、日本の感覚からすると弱めで、海外では標準です。 安定的に適温のお湯はでています。
