Conviniently located if you want to explore both French concession and Pudong districts. The rooms are roomy and comfortable. Breakfast was very good.

Very few details : Swimming pool would need some refreshment, but I understand this is planned in the near future. I would have put a bit more decoration in the reception hall but I guess this is a matter of personnal taste.

The hotel was great my room was very spacious and comfortable the staff were super friendly and helpful especially Mike at the front desk.

Bathroom had no soap for bath or shower, room some lights were broken, wires for lights running from plugs over floor... alarm clock not functional, booked for 3 nights and had to extend to a fourth night, got charged more than half extra one for one night. extremely unhappy and staff at reception just shrug shoulders to say its a booking.com issue. i feel cheated and will never return and will not advise anyone to come to the Pullman either. I had booked the extra night online prior to my arrival, but somehow the hotel cannot find the booking.. this leaves a bad tase, so hence my bad rating of this establishment.

We stayed here for the second time. Once again, friendly and helpful staff at the reception desk. Cleaning staff is also very friendly and works diligently. Breakfast is excellent, a wide variety to choices to enjoy Chinese as well as western food. The hotel is centrally located, with a mall and metro station at walking distance.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Pullman Shanghai Central. All team members demonstrated the authentic Pullman's way of hospitality, attentive, polite and efficient. The guest room is well-maintained, spotlessly clean with great sound insulation. Centrally located in Huangpu District, convenient for dining and sightseeing. Every thoughtful touch reflects meticulous service. I will definitely choose this hotel again on my next trip to Shanghai.

Staff were excellent and spoke English. There were lots of options at breakfast for both Eastern and Western tastes. I had two separate bookings, and they were able to merge them, so I didn't have to change rooms. It's close to tourist areas, a Metro station and a mall full of useful shops and restaurants.

A fantastic 5 star hotel. The chain Pullman is also quite good and the quality for price ratio is exceptional. I don't understand why this property doesn't have a higher rating on Booking.com (at least above 9.0) but I would definitely book it again.

good location, easy to access all main points

I travelled here with my family in April this year. The lobby is large and the reception friendly but lack English. As the room was not ready they dumped the bags in the lobby with no security. The room was comfortable but there was no English TV channels which was a pain later at night after a night out. The breakfast is orientated towards the Chinese market and is ok. There is streak restaurant on one of the levels which is extortionate, we walked out due to the outlandish price. It's in a relatively good location close to the underground. The pool is ok but a bit cold you get made to wear a head cap! I would not stay here again there are better hotels.

This is the third time within 8 months to stay in Pullman in Shanghai Central. It is close to the metro with good quality of food at the mall. The room is spacious and very clean. I like the 24th floor resturant. Staff are very helpful and able to communicate with English.

Location was good.

We were not notified on booking that work was taking place. The location of breakfast had changed and it was poor with not many hit good options. There was no Lounge area to sit and relax. The rooms were large but consider that facilities were poor. We had previously stayed in the other Pullman in Shanghai and it is a far superior hotel.

Front office staff member Max was always on hand with a bright smile and an eager willingness to help. His positive attitude and prompt assistance made check-in and every interaction effortless. I credit Pullman Shanghai Central for assembling such an outstanding team. Their professionalism, friendliness, and consistent service reflect very well on the brand. Front end staff can hardly speak English even though the majority of the clients that I observed of this “five star” hotel are speak English. The quality of room cleaning is below the expectation of a five star hotel. Check out the Conrad as a reference point. Soiled towels from biscuit crumbles were left in the room until I spoke to the desk. The room was left in the same disarray with suitcases and bags left as I left them. The sink area was pretty much untouched. Abysmal! The hotel overcharged me because of bad computation. What was on bookings.com was different from their charge even including the taxes. On top of that, they charged me for five days' breakfast instead of three. I already submitted extensive feedback on the booking.com platform. The Hotel owes me a refund so please refund as one of the managers said they would

Pro’s : Room was good, large & comfortable. Location is fine - near to a large shopping mall, & attractions. Cons : the Executive Lounge was a big let down - disinterested staff (especially the pompous gentleman in a gray suit who appeared to be a supervisor, but needs basic customer service retraining) awful tiny wine selection, & average food. We only visited briefly twice on our 4 night stay as it wasn’t a pleasant space to be in. Also breakfast was not served in the executive lounge, but in what looked like a temporary canteen in a conference room on the 3rd floor. Food was awful, bread & pastries etc were stale, & not even a decent coffee to be had. In summary if only need a decent room in a good location, & don’t expect friendly service, this hotel could work for you. But simply don’t waste your money on an executive room with lounge access, it’s not worth it.

I wasn’t informed that some restaurants are closed. According to should invest more for english lessons for the staff. Otherwise the staff is very kind and full of good intentions, however english knowledge ( or no English knowledge) is a barrier.

It is clean and well kept. It is well polished.

It feels dated. It does not give the modern feeling that you would expect -as part of your experience in the city- from Shanghai.

Greetings, wish to recommend Pullman Shanghai central (Skyway) of course the building is high, and the hotel is not on the top, but on the middle of the building :) I booked 6 rooms, received upgrade for my room. Rooms booked itself were almost the highest category with lounge access, so was hard to book. - got welcome amenities to all 6 rooms - lounge is very strong, and its workers are very qualified, they served our team very well all 4 days of our stay, - received 4 pm late check-out for all 6 rooms Concierge service helped me to achieve some rare tea from the online store, Special thanks for Gary Li, Kitty, Mike and all the lounge team for the assistance

Water pressure is weak. Water temperature is very difficult to control, not stable.

A nice hotel located reasonably convenient though away from popular commercial area. Checking in was a bit formal lacking warm. The room is big and comfortable though a little tired with some room light not functioning. Another discomfort is the room is rather cold for southerner like me even with Aircon set at high temp. I therefore would give it a weak 4 rating. Breakfast spread is good and all of us enjoy it much. Staff in cafe are helpful and attentive. Some concierge staff are real helpful going out of their way to meet our requests. 👍

I accidentally left an item behind during my stay at the Pullman Shanghai Central, and the team went above and beyond to help. Not only did they carefully package everything, but they also forwarded it all the way to my next destination in China. I was truly amazed by how smooth, professional, and reliable the entire process was. The staff were responsive, caring, and made sure I received my package safely and in perfect condition. This level of honesty and exceptional service is rare these days. Pullman Shanghai Central has earned my highest recommendation — if you’re staying in Shanghai, you can trust them completely. Multiple restaurants in this hotel, if you have deep pockets the have a restaurant on the 52nd floor were steaks is £200 a pop if you can afford it why not, the staff were amazing in this hotel we had traveled in from Nanjing via the train and my 8 year old had gone and left his phone on the train, this was a nightmare for us but the staff was very helpful calling the train company which luckily someone had handed in the phone and we was able to get it back.the room was great we stayed in one of the suites on the 12th floor breakfast and afternoon tea was included as well as use of the pool and gym. The restaurant on the lower level B1 was great the all the can eat Monday to Thursday couldn’t fault it.

The only thing we had an issue with the AC unit not heating the room up other then this no issues and we would highly recommend this hotel

O ar condicionado do quarto não funcionava, simplesmente por que eles não querem que funcione. Não era defeito, era o ar central limitado em uma temperatura quente para não gastarem energia. Tive que reclamar e então no ultimo dia me deram um upgrade de quarto, que em teoria tinha ar condicionado melhor. Resumo: economizam no básico. Estão longe de um nível internacional de atendimento e conforto.

The room was exceptional. Beautifully appointed, well furnished, fabulous bed. Breakfast was excellent -the choice available and the quality were superb

The shower was pathetic - so disappointing. Also the showers in the spa were equally disappointing- with worn floor mats,tired and grubby mosaic tiling. Such a sham when the rest of the place was so good. Location rather disappointing- it’s not in the French concession as I thought it would be.

Wifi connection in the hotel is non-existent. They went to on the central heater just because it was raining outside which makes the room so hot and it unbearable to sleep even when we off the heater

Wir waren über Silvester dort und hatten eine richtig gute Zeit. Frühstück war überragend, große Auswahl und alles fresh. Zimmer groß, sauber und gemütlich, eher comfy als ultra modern, aber genau das hat den Vibe ausgemacht. Aussicht aus dem Zimmer auch top. Wir hatten ein Executive Room mit Lounge Zugang, das hat den Aufenthalt nochmal aufgewertet. Bad ebenfalls nice ausgestattet mit Badewanne, perfekt zum runterkommen. Grüße gehen raus an unseren Freund Ben mega nett und hat uns gute Empfehlungen gegeben 🫶🏽

When I checked in, no one told me where the breakfast was being served, what were the opening and closing times for the restaurants. I figured it out by looking at the instructions in the elevators. Also, it might help if we can pay in us dollars or euros.

Great stay! Hotel is well positioned to explore with Didi. Staff and robots are helpful even with at times a language barrier. The absolute standout is Ben at the front of the hotel, from directions to transport to just basic help.

Absolutely stunning breakfast options, good ratio between western food and traditional Chinese food. Room very spacious. Bathrooms are more in old school end but very clean and neat and still fully functioning.

Rooms are at 30 degrees C, and they can't lower it.. It is too hot!!! can't they set the temperature at 18 or 20 degrees? Totally ridiculous, and to think that i have to suffer for another 6 nights!!!

I traveled to Shanghai with my 7 year old daughter for business and leisure. It was our first time in China. Mike and Ben made our stay so comfortable. They made us feel safe and welcomed and made sure everything we needed to be comfortable as a mother with a minor was within reach. I cannot say how thankful I am of both of them. I'd always prefer to stay at Pullman whenever I'm in Shanghai ONLY because of those two. We stayed for 5 days, left for Harbin and came back to stay at Pullman for another 2 days. We were so well taken care off I recommend anyone going to Shanghai to stay at Pullman for ultimate comfort and satisfaction. Mike and Ben will make sure ALL your needs are taken care off so you can be as comfortable as you desire. Oh and the breakfast at the restaurant is very good too.

Nothing major. Language barrier I guess but that's not a problem as you can always use your translator. Mike and Ben will also sort you out so long as they're not on leave or break.

Doorman Ben is the best! Had a great stay here. Will definitely come back to stay here. Lavazza in the lobby is also good with good breakfast

Everything has been exceptional from start to finish. All the staff at Pullman have taken excellent care of us throughout the whole trip. We used Pullman Central as our base to move about in China with ease by storing our luggage and ensuring our return check in’s were smooth. Rooms were spacious, we stayed in the Deluxe King and then Executive rooms throughout our stay. House keeping staff were very attentive and provided all the necessary amenities as required. The breakfast buffet each morning a good range of food, and drinks. A good way to start off the day. The team of Gary, Stephy and Ben was simply amazing. Most importantly Stephy and Ben were both amazing in meeting the exceptional level of service with attention to detail. I would highly recommend the Shanghai Pullman Central hotel.

Очень хорошее расположение, до метро и торгового центра идти всего 5 минут. Рядом также есть банки, где можно обменять деньги. На завтрак предлагается как классический европейский завтрак, так и китайский вариант.

Два минуса: 1) Номерной фонд довольно староват и ванная выглядит не свежо, но это не критично. Единственный минус - даже свежие блинчики были сухими и вместо нутеллы была жидкая какао паста.

I stayed at the Pullman for work and it was enjoyable. The room was spacious and clean and the buffet breakfast was great. All staff were lovely, especially Ben who was always cheery and chatty at the entrance. I will book here again for my next trip.

Good service. Staff can communicate in basic English. Housekeeping great. Asked them to attend to clogged shower drain hole and the staff came quickly. Asked for additional towel and they sent it less than 15 minutes. Another guy on duty at the lobby by the name Ben was very helpful and greeted us every morning whenever we reached the lobby and help carry and load our bags into the XL vehicle that sent us to the airport.

It was my first time at Pullman Shanghai Central and I have to say that everything was perfect. A special thanks to Yulia and all the concierge's team for the support in arranging my staying and helping me with my Internet connection. Indeed super professional and absolutely kind.
