I loved everything about my stay! The hotel was beautiful, clean, comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Everything was perfect, and I would definitely stay here again.

La poca preparazione per la gestione degli ospiti che hanno necessità di mangiare senza glutine. Li ho trovati poco preparati e senza Alternative certe, mi riferisco ai soli pasti e non alla colazione che invece non ho fatto.

The location and breakfast is good.

I can tell it was pretty modern design back when it opened. I like the bathroom stones though. But still, it feels a bit out dated….maybe is the maintenance issue. Also window are very dirty… need window cleaning.

I liked the hotel because of its excellent location. It is close to shops, markets, restaurants, and cafés. The staff were also very friendly, professional, and provided excellent service.

However, I did not like the room décor. The furniture was dark brown, and the color scheme did not make me feel comfortable. I also did not like the smell in the lobby, as it was filled with food odors coming from the restaurant and the café located there.

Отель уставший. Вытертые деревянные панели,, поношенное ванная. Жёсткие матрасы и хлипкие одеяла. Шумный кондиционер даже в режиме минимального вентилятора. Первый раз в жизни был вынужден надеть беруши, чтобы заснуть так как кондиционер очень шумный, если выключить то становится тяжко. И видно непроста отель кладёт беруши на стол. Завтрак хороший, но опять же соотношение цена качество считаю плохим.

Excelente estancia. Hotel en ubicación excelente, con gran variedad de servicios y comodidades.

Ótima localização. Muitos shoppings, restaurantes e facilidades por perto. Para o centro não é tão longe, 20 min de didi e estamos em qualquer ponto mais estratégico. O café da manhã é ótimo, atende super bem aos acidentais. O quarto é muito bem equipado, podemos solicitar tudo por tablet com atendimento rápido.

Os colchões são ruins. Antigos, afundados e desconfortáveis. Precisam ser trocados para fazer jus ao todo que o hotel oferece. O café da manhã só deixa a desejar por falta de alguns alimentos, mas seleções de queijos por exemplo e máquinas de café para self service. Estivemos em época de Canton Fair, China lotada, e como servem o café na mesa fica complicado, vem trocado, errado, frio, demora.... se tivessem 5 máquinas de café espalhadas pelo salão ajudaria muito.

Premium property located steps from bars, shops and restaurants. Great, walkable area for Shanghai. The tuna sushi tacos served at the bar are a masterpiece! Really good breakfast buffet. Amazing staff.

We like the breakfast. The cocktail at the BLEU bar is also good. Services from the front desk is good. We mentioned the drain was slow. When we were back, it is fixed. They also send us fruit. Thank you.

Wi-Fi could be improved.

For family reunion, I am here in Shanghai with my husband. He especially loves the sweets at the reception, claiming it’s his childhood memory. We really enjoyed our stay here. The furniture seems a bit outdated. Same with other facilities. But we especially want to say a big Thank You to all the service staff. Their hospitality makes up for everything else. All requests or doubts were responded instantly.

The happy hour is a bit repetitive. We could use more songs.

I was on my trip to Shanghai, nothing special to expect for: I arrived at 6:30, too early normally. Then I was offered a chance to upgrade to the Deluxe Suite with a fair price. I took it and it was worth it. The only regret was not to take pictures at night. The scene was marvelous. And btw everyone there was just too kind. The Internet was not great when accessing websites outside China though. Well I focused on everything else and who actually needs youtube on vacation:) Remarkable, comfortable and unforgettable.

Starting with the positives: the location is perfect for tourists. While I would normally choose a Park Hyatt, the location of the Andaz was hard to beat for my family, who joined me on this business trip. The hotel itself has the typical Andaz vibe—relaxed, colourful, and informal. Reception is handled via floating terminals, similar to Andaz New York. In practice, this can feel quite chaotic, and there is no dedicated Hyatt Preferred Guest check-in. Regarding Globalist suite upgrades: I was assigned a “King Bed Deluxe” on a high floor, while other rooms such as the “Loft King” were apparently excluded due to “house policies.” This felt arbitrary, and I don’t believe individual Andaz properties should be making up their own rules within the Hyatt chain. There were no further Globalist perks to speak of. My status was never acknowledged, and there were no small gestures such as welcome amenities or chocolates in the room. The “happy hour” from 18:00–19:30 is offered to all guests at the main bar. A complimentary drink is nice, but the snacks were unremarkable (nuts and cookies only). Breakfast was a slightly chaotic experience, often involving waiting times. It is clearly geared toward Chinese clientele—which is understandable given the hotel’s main customer base—but there is no table service beyond coffee, resulting in a somewhat underwhelming, non-luxury experience. If possible, sit in the more relaxed room on the left (green wall); the other room can be very crowded and has a canteen-like feel. On the positive side, the staff were friendly and motivated. The rooms (we had two) are starting to show their age: scuffed wooden furniture and walls that could use a fresh coat of paint. Be sure to request a high floor to minimise street noise. The main issue, however—and a deal-breaker for me—is the Wi-Fi for non-resident internet users. This problem has been widely reported on Tripadvisor and elsewhere, and unfortunately it is very real. With or without a VPN, the connection is either extremely slow, constantly dropping, or not working at all. I needed to work and seriously considered checking out on day one. Being provided with a private router in my room did not meaningfully improve the situation. For that reason alone, I will not return and cannot recommend this hotel. If you need reliable internet for work, stay away. Tourists are better off using an eSIM—but even then, the situation is frustrating and, quite frankly, unacceptable in 2026.

I like the location. It is in a nice area in Shanghai. Close to lots of nice restaurants and shops.

We checked in at 5 pm and were told that one of our rooms were not ready. This is not acceptable because check in time was 3 pm. They said that the previous guests were still in the room. I would never think that this was an Andaz hospitality.

My stay at Andaz Xintiandi Shanghai was truly exceptional! The prime location in Xintiandi is unbeatable, steps from trendy spots and transit. The sleek, stylish rooms are cozy with thoughtful amenities like Byredo toiletries and a complimentary minibar. Every staff member was warm, attentive and professional, offering great local tips. The delicious breakfast spread and seamless service made my trip perfect—100% recommend for a fantastic Shanghai stay!

A porta principal – onde param os carros na recepção –, é excelente e muito funcional; no entanto, a porta giratória de serviço (do lado oposto), é manual, e muito apertada. Recomendo, aumentarem o tamanho da porta giratória, e instalarem uma automática, tipo uma grande porta giratória das lojas IKEA.

They took from me 2000rmb cash deposit and now after one month till now not back

I gave one star for its location. Otherwise I will give it 0 star. The facility is very old. The sink and bath tub have weird light which makes it looks very dirty. The room is not clean. See the picture, this is what we found in our room. Reported to the staff however there is no one even come to apologize. I will not stay here again and will not recommend it to anyone.

Musty smell in the room, after you take a shower, no ventilation in the bathroom, dirty windows, which spoiled the city view.

i like the location, right at the center of central CBD Easy access and lots of places to visit, dine and extremely safe area

I thought overall facilities including room is a bit older than I expected. For the price and location Andaz as a 5 star hotel, i had more expectation than what i have experienced. I would not revisit this property next time.
