The Victoria Hotel Dunedin

Location

No balcony where all other rooms had one

Clean, warm and tidy.

Location for work

Location and the balcony

Too much of dark colours and feel of old hotel

Location and price

Paying $20 per night for parking

It was great

The parking not many parks

We could charge our ev included the price for parking. Beds were comfortable and great location to Forsyth stadium and University, town. Great blackout curtains and very quiet, surprisingly as we were next to the lift

The staff at the reception was very helpful and very friendly

It is very close to the hospital and if you visit the needing someone, I will recommend that Hotel it’s only walking distance

Central

The room was too hot, no way to turn it off.

Location Clean and warm

Very central, spacious room, very clean.

No hooks in the bathroom.

good location

Helpful staff. Awesome location. Comfy, clean and modern rooms. Good breakfast. Value for money.

Nothing

Closeness to hospital Good size room

Shower head, not enough ventilation in bathroom, power socket in bathroom was not secure, felt unsafe to use. Room very stuffy.

Perfect location, easy walk to restaurants, bars and shops. Comfortable beds and friendly staff. Would definitely stay again.

Nothing to not like, other than having to pay $20 for parking.

Very comfortable beds Great location

NA

Clean and comfortable.

Having to pay extra for parking (although it was made clear that you had to). It was quite noisy (street noise - the hotel itself was quiet).

Very comfortable beds nice and close to the city nice friendly staff

Black mold in shower. Wanted a room with a bath so Booked here but then got out in a room without one. Staff didn’t even give us direction to our room or what building we were in. At 7 am we were woken up to people concrete drilling in what sounded like our roof.

프론트직원이 매우친절하고 시설이 매우청결함

조식이 부페를 시켰는데 비용대비 먹을것이 없어서 돈주구서 다시 계란후라이시켜머 먹었음

Nice clean spacious rooms. Really good that someone is around 24/7

Bad stay

Not alot

It was a lovely hotel , great location, very comfy and helpful staff.Rooms spacious and comfy beds.would recommend.

Nothing

Quiet, great location, good parking

The food was very good , but the restaurant atmosphere is poor, bright lights and music you can hardly hear, a candle on the table would make big difference!

Comfortable and warm bed Good size fridge Comfortable arm chair.

Lack of breakfast bowls Just one small plate No toaster or microwave No toilet brush

Central clean and EV charging

Good location to central town. Comfortable room. Good to have use of the kitchen.

View from windows but central town so didn’t expect scenic views.

The location was great near a lot of shops.

Our room carpet was pretty disgusting. A lot of stains.

The front staff were extremely professional and helpful. All information pertaining to the stay was provided without any issues. We had a piece of mind and the overall experience was excellent

Convenient to town,clean amenities

Location

Very convenient

Noise from ongoing construction its okay but too early (before 7am)

Great location

Very uncomfortable beds and very old interior. Didnt enjoy our stay felt like staying in a prison. May be hotel should upgrade their interior.

Always love staying here - it is so central and an easy walk for shopping and eating out The beds are very comfy and the staff are always friendly and obliging

Nothing

The staff were so lovely and helpful, it was central to where I needed to go.

Just the construction happening the builders were right outside our room and just couldn’t sleep

Great location

There was an additional charge to park our car overnight on hotel grounds

Great location. Breakfast was nice. Very quiet

駐車場代が高い

Central City location - walking distance to Shopping & Rugby Stadium

Room was full of beds (1 double & 2 singles)

All was great

No issues

Great location

Having to pay for parking

Very spacious. Beds were very comfortable.

Located close to city which was handy

Very out dated, beds are old and hard, it was expensive for what we got. Shower head flew off when the water was turned on, toilet seat needed to be tightened and fixed. Heating in room needs to be sorted as very cold took ages to heat up

Nice staff, great location, cost effective- we have stayed here before in the building opposite of the lobby and it was lovely.

We stayed on the older side of the property. The beds were uncomfortable, felt very outdated, and there was a lot of construction going on.

Great location Nice clean facilities helpful staff

The shower mixer played up a bit, either too hot or two cold, a bit frustrating. It took a bit to adjust it.

The pillows

location

cleanliness was bad

Nice and handy to the hospital as we had a 9.15am appointment

After a 3 hour journey, I was disappointed to find out the bar and restaurant weren’t opening that evening. My husband has medical conditions so was unable to go out , however the supermarket was handy .

The new part of the hotel is lovely. Beds are so comfortable.

Spacious room and very clean. Good location in the way of distance to shops/supermarket/Octagon region.

Good location and staff was always there to help.

We had issues with the cards to get into the hotel room. They told us that they’re in the midst of changing the old locks because of these issues but definitely caused some stress not being able to enter the room later at night. No where on the website or in the emails did the hotel mention they’re doing renovations. If we would’ve known a drill would wake us up at 7:30 a.m. we would not have booked this hotel. It ruined our stay because of how incredibly loud and early it was. We got the parking money back, which did not make up for it. The hotel should’ve let us know before hand what the situation was and the hotel should’ve taken more responsibility for the discomfort caused by it. We’re now gonna have to travel after such a short sleep which is far from ideal.
