Great location dog friendly great staff
Beds a little uncomfortable!
Facilities were excellent, clean and modern
Lovely stay , location great near the station and staff very welcoming and helpful with my ironing board
The location, really good food . Overall a good hotel.
Bed was quite low ,my wife found the mattress uncomfortable (hard).

Nothing
Staff were very helpful
Style
Good accommodation and breakfast. Friendly staff. Reasonable price for a twin room and breakfast for two adults.
Had to pay £10 for parking. Fairly noisy near a road. A wider selection, not just basic tea and coffee would be appreciated e.g. decaffeinated (a small selection was available in the breakfast room). A small point - I didn’t notice the nuts and seeds until after I’d eaten the cereal as they were placed near the spreads/jams etc. Also, bananas were brought out later.
Staff very friendly and helpful ,our room was very clean and roomy , breakfast was delish , our second stay here and definatly our go to hotel .
The cleanliness and loverly staff .
Lovely staff, lovely breakfast. Good as always.
Clean and new, staff helpful
Some of the food was a bit pricey
Parking was £10 per night, no reservations, but had no problem parking. Breakfast was £10 per person excellent, food was available 2pm till 9pm excellent choice good quality food. The staff were very friendly and helpful both on reception and housekeeping.
Mattress was a bit hard but everything else was excellent.
Clean spacious rooms. Good breakfast options. Friendly helpful staff who moved me to a quieter room
Ground floor room very noisy due to traffic. Rooms could be warmer, but thermostat not adjustable. Appalling coffee
Everything about this hotel was perfect for our needs, especially being dog friendly
The parking is quite limited at the hotel and there is an additional £10 per night parking charge. This didn't affect us during our stay, so it wasn't a problem but at busier times, I can imagine it might be a problem.
The breakfast choice was excellent. The evening meal was also excellent
There were no towel racks to hang towels once they had been used and could be dried for more usage.
Room was sleek and modern. Was very clean and tidy.
Coffee in the room was vile. I don't know if it was coffee or dried mud but this needs sorting.
Fantastic place to stay. Do close to the train station. Super clean and comfy and with great food. The staff were wonderful, particularly Chamal who was so helpful!
Once I arrived I requested for a room on the top floor facing the river. It was quiet. I did get lost one night lol tried to get into someone else’s room lol to much to drink I must say hehehe
I didn’t like that on the day u can’t pay to check out later
Friendly welcome. Comfortable (mainly) room. Very clean. Superb shower. Very good breakfast. Pleasant, helpful staff. Quiet- both location and the hotel itself. Easy walk into Ipswich town. The mattress was 'firm' , which I liked.
Nice bathroom but it needed hooks for towels and facecloths. Just one small wastebin. The pillow was soft but too deep for me. The hotel had just the one size of pillow, so I used a folded bath towel under my head and slept well.
Room was spacious
Noise from rail line (freight, so all through the night!) and busy road. Cooked breakfast was poor.
Location
We couldn’t take shower because the drain was blocked , the toilet almost got full of water
Pleasant, clean room, convenient to train station, and incredible breakfast
There was no lock fixture on the door to keep the door from being opened.
It was just excellent near where we wanted to be and would recommend to other travellers
Large reception area. Pet friendly.
The beds.
Comfortable, modern and clean
Second time staying at this hotel, reasonable pricing and convenient for the location. Nice small gym
What a great find, decent location walkable to town centre, football ground etc. For the price we found the room size, comfort and quality of breakfast first class.
The only small gripe was the quality of the coffee which I don't drink but husband not a fan and he is not fussy.
The staff were excellent, made us feel very welcome. Room was very spacious and had everything we needed, bed was comfortable and had a really good sleep. The breakfast was delicious and plenty to choose from and well worth the money. Excellent stay would highly recommend and the whole place was spotless and smelt divine.
Very good value for money. Breakfast was lovely. Very comfy beds.
Didnt like having to put code in door every time we went in.
Good shower. Great size room. Lovely view of river. Excellent breakfast
Would have liked extra pillows available.
Spotlessly clean and comfortable. Front desk staff smile, are welcoming and helpful. Breakfast is wonderful with a huge variety of choices. We walked along the canal to the popular dockyard area.
Parking is tight but we were lucky and got in.
Clean, comfortable, nice bar area, good breakfast
Lovely and bright, clean and welcoming staff. Great open areas
Sorry to say found the bed to be uncomfortable. Other than that room was great.
Nice and clean
Not to many parkiyspace
Lovely clean rooms, staff very friendly
Breakfast wasn't restored very well. Will stay again but won't have breakfast.
It was basic but extremely clean. The linen was clean and sweet smelling. The pillows were soft not lumpy. The shower was brilliant with a good supply of hot water. The bathroom overall was cleverly designed and very clean.
Parking was expensive at the hotel and the alternative parking although very close by and easily accessible was also quite expensive. On the plus side there was always space.
Very handy
Comfortable staff are excellent food great
Comfortable hotel, just a few minutes from the station. Unprepossessing from the outside, the hotel is well decorated inside. The rooms are comfortable and air-conditioned. The showers are good. There is a good bar and light meals at reception - and good service there too. Recommended.
Paying for parking
The staff, especially Jessica on arrival were outstanding
Liked everything
Staff very helpful , room very comfortable and the breakfast to die for
Limited parking on site, but public parking 5 minute walk away across the river
Location of the hotel was good, the shower was amazing
The staffs attitude especially a short haired brunette lady when booking for another night the staff member wouldny accept me having one room so had to have two then when id booked and paid i was told i could of had just one room i didn't like how early breakfast ended I got downstairs one morning at 1015 to be turned away after pay 29 for two breakfasts then the next day I turned up at 10.30 asked if I could just take something upstairs was screamed at no please go out. I had stayed a total of 4 nights 7 rooms booked and had family amd friends also in other rooms after then we all left to another hotel as it was very awkward after this
Ease of check in and location
Bad beds bad breakfast shower flooded noisy
Fantastic staff.
Air conditioned not working very well.
Everything. Was amazing.

The friendly staff they were wonderful nothing to much for them
Nothing
Fantastic staff lovely restaurant
Air con struggled couldn't keep room.cool
The receptionist was lovely, the check in process was very quick and simple. I like how you got rid of the keys and replaced them with codes instead! We loved the new layout also. We shall return.
Nothing!
Pleasant environment, clean. friendly. Generally good all round.
Really bad scrambled egg in the morning, rubbery plastic.
Location & facilities
Shower in danger of over flowing
It was very clean and smelt really nice
I found the mattress was a bit too hard for me but pillows were really nice
Great location, clean and comfortable rooms and an excellent choice for breakfast. Lovely view from our room and reception had a fabulous scent.
AC was really good, shower is nice!
As we left before breakfast started we were able to have a takeaway breakfast
Beds too firm for us Limited on site parking plus charge
Nice hotel, very clean, staff were very friendly & helpful. Location was good.
Only down fall was key card to room ,you had to put in a long code every time, if I lost it my room number and hotel is on the card .Apart from that all good 👍

What guests love
Areas to consider
Cleanliness
9/10Multiple reviews call the hotel 'very clean', 'super clean', 'clean and new' and praise bathrooms and showers, supporting a strong cleanliness score.
Service
9.5/10Service is consistently highlighted as a strength: staff described as friendly, welcoming, very helpful (several mentions by name), justifying a very high service rating.
Location
8/10Location is praised for proximity to train station and easy walk to town, but several guests note road and rail noise which reduces the score slightly.
Room Quality
8/10Rooms are described as sleek, modern, spacious and generally comfortable, but multiple comments about firm/too-hard mattresses, pillows and some cold rooms/thermostat limits temper the rating.
Amenities
7.5/10Facilities are described as modern and excellent, but practical amenity issues noted (no towel racks/hooks, limited parking, poor in-room coffee) lower the score.
Value for Money
8/10Guests mention reasonable room pricing and good quality breakfast/food, though extra charges (notably £10 parking) and some pricey menu items moderate perceived value.
Food and Beverage
9/10Breakfast and evening meal are repeatedly described as excellent with good choice and quality; isolated complaints about coffee and one poor cooked breakfast are outweighed by positive remarks.
Overall Experience
9/10Overall sentiment is very positive ('lovely stay', 'fantastic', 'pleasant surprise'), with excellent staff and food driving a strong overall experience despite some minor issues.
Steps from Ipswich railway station and a short walk to town, making it easy to explore the city.
Sleek, air-conditioned rooms with en-suite showers, tea/coffee facilities, and flat-screen TVs.
Unwind in the pentalounge with light meals and cocktails, plus a 24hr bar for relaxed evenings.
