We absolutely loved our stay. The staff was excellent. Giulio was exceptional and so beyond helpful with recommendations and accommodations. The room was very clean, A/C was great & we will recommend this place to others.

The only downside is the amount of stairs you have to take to get to the villa. It is not an issue directly with the hotel as this is a common thing in all of the Amalfi Coast. Lots of stairs and hilly walks anywhere you stay in the coast.

The 220 stairs to get to the roadway and no restaurant.

The owner Guilio and his staff were excellent. We were made very welcome and really enjoyed their hospitality. The personal touches of home made food at breakfast were very thoughtful. Location was great and room and facilities were of a high standard.

With all Amalfi properties you have to expect stairs. My advice would be to pack light for your stay so you don’t need to drag all your bags to the villa.

Vue incroyable sur la mer. Petit hôtel à taille humaine avec personnel sympathique et aidant. Petite piscine très appréciable en plein mois d’août. Nous avions une chambre familiale atypique avec un ancien pressoir. Très original et charmant !

L’emplacement est difficile d’accès que ce soit en voiture ou à pied. C’est propre à la côte Amalfitaine dans son ensemble, mais à avoir en tête si on espère se balader quotidiennement.

Everything was perfect, the view is spectacular, the breakfast it’s simple but really good, the best croissants, everyone is really kind, but Vincenzo helped us a lot, he was so kind, he even helped me so much with a personal inconvenient that had nothing to do with the hotel and make sure I was ok. I really appreciate it. I definitely will be back.

I have to say that i’m disapointed with the room. when we arrived at the room, it smelled like people have smoked cigarettes in here. Things falls appart, the Door frame is ripped out, the deak is ripped off, the bedside lamp cord is broken, my boyfriend had to work the shower drain because water did not drain, AC barely works, and they charge city tax as of it was a 4 stars hotel… i wrote to them, but of course, no answer after being in the room. Hôtels across the street cost the same for better rooms.

Everything falls appart: bathroom door, furniture, AC… The Smell is bad, shower drain problem.

We haven't stopped talking about our beautiful stay since coming home. We spent a month in Italy and this was our favourite place to stay. The location was stunning, super authentic, the owners and management were amazing and breakfast every morning was divine. We would love the opportunity to return one day if we have the opportunity.

Wir hatten eine riesige Terrasse mit Blick auf das Meer, Positano und Capri. Auch vom Pool aus kann der Wunderschön ist hat man einen Atemberaubenden Ausblick. Einfach traumhaft und einzigartig. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück ist wirklich super (für Italien Mega ;) Cappuccino aus der Baristamaschine :) Wir waren 4 Nächte dort und wären gerne länger geblieben. Vielen Dank. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Die Lage ist super 👍 10 km nach Positano oder Amalfi. Ja es ist richtig man muss einige Stufen gehen. Am besten wenig Gepäck mitnehmen;)

We traveled all over Italy, and this was one of the most beautiful locations and an amazing stay! Everything was beautiful, cleaned daily, gorgeous views from right outside our room! The staff was very friendly and responsive. They helped us get to the hotel after our bus situation did not work out. They got us a private taxi. They helped carry our luggage down the stairs and didn't expect anything in return. The people here truly care about others, and we are so appreciative for them! This was one of the most relaxing parts of our vacation, even though the stairs did give us a work out! We would love to return one day from the United States!

The stairs were difficult but the staff helped us with our luggage due to the stairs. The staff made the one difficult thing (stairs) manageable and everything else was perfect!

It was a peaceful, stylish stay with good vibes and a wonderful view. The breakfast was so good. The owner of the property prepares everything and cares about everything himself. He is also a very nice guy to talk to. There is even a cute dog that you can pet throughout the day. The swimming pool was not big but enough, and the views were amazing around the Amalfi Coast from the property. Rooms are very cozy having a view of the coast. If you wouldn't like to pay a ridiculous amounts of money for places like Positano or Amalfi, staying here in this hotel in Praiano will be your best chance. Hotel can help you with renting a scooter.

The only downside was finding the property, but with the directives and even videos that they share, you can find it easily. It is on top of the hill with a fantastic view. You better have a car to climb up there via the road. And if you would like to go to places like Positano or Amalfi side, you will need to rent a taxi, which is quite costly. The best way that you can stay here would be having a car.

A delightful, friendly and comfortable hotel in the quiet above Priano and in easy bus ride distance to Amalfi and Positano. Airconditioned rooms, swimming pool, delicious breakfast - especially Julio's omlettes. Staff could not have been more helpful, especially Vincenzo who was a complete star helping with all matters and even cooking pizza when we were unable to leave the hotel one evening. Local restaurants (5-10 min walk) very good.

The 200 steps up from the main road must be factored in. It is worth it absolutely for the fabulous views of Positano Bay when you are in the hotel, but will be a problem for someone with mobility issues......as will most of the Amalfi coast, of.course!

Staff were lovely, breakfast was super delicious, home grown tomatoes were perfect!

Steps were tricky but that’s just what you need to deal with for these incredible views — pack light!

Staff was incredibly helpful and very nice. The owner makes breakfast and coffee every morning. Very easy to get in touch with staff via WhatsApp. The pool was amazing and the view was stunning. We also had a private small grass patio right outside our room with lounge chairs. Would highly recommend this villa especially if you are looking for a less touristy and more quaint vibe, as compared to staying in positano or amalfi

The bed was a little bit firm but overall fairly comfortable, also that’s just a personal preference.

Our stay in Praiano was absolutely incredible. The villa was beautiful, spotless, and perfectly located with breathtaking views. What truly made the experience exceptional was the outstanding staff and hospitality. Vincenzo was especially amazing — attentive, responsive, and incredibly accommodating throughout our stay. He went above and beyond to make everything seamless for us, from helping secure fantastic restaurant reservations to arranging a wonderful boat rental experience. His recommendations and attention to detail made our trip even more memorable. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the Amalfi Coast!

We had a wonderful experience in the Villa Ii Frantoio and Lilmar. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by Vincsnzo and he showed us our room and the premises. He was very thoughtful and helpful during our stay. We loved his limoncello spritz.! The Limoncello there is made by Giulio the owner. The views are stunning and the breakfast made by Giulio and Aruna made us feel like home. We had a fantastic experience and hope to be back soon! Incredible place and people.

The room was lovely, very spacious and comfortable. Vincenzo, who was in contact with us prior to our arrival and during our stay, was so helpful. He helped is with suggestions of where to go and where to eat, even making dinner reservations on our behalf.

Anyone booking Villa Il Frantoio should be aware that, like much of the accommodation on the Amalfi coast, it is on the side of a hill. So while I wouldn't say I didn't like it, anyone booking the accommodation should be aware there are a lot of steps to climb to reach it

Es war wirklich phänomenal. Auch das Frühstück war sensationell und ließ keine Wünsche offen. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir jedoch den herzlichen Empfang und die außergewöhnliche Gastfreundschaft von Vincenzo. Er hat uns jeden Wunsch erfüllt – das hat unseren Aufenthalt noch einmal ganz besonders gemacht. Ein großes Dankeschön an Vincenzo und das gesamte Team für diese unvergessliche Zeit. Nádherné miesto, izba veľmi čistá, vybavenie super, k dispozícii všetko, čo sme potrebovali. K dispozícii bazén, vírivka, balkón, bezlepkové raňajky. Dokonalý zážitok na najkrajšom mieste! O ľuďoch ani nehovorím - ochota vo všetkom, poradia s úsmevom na tvári. Priateľský a veľmi milý každý z nich. Dúfam sa sem čoskoro vrátime. Už teraz sa veľmi teším a určite odporúčam!

What didn’t I like! I only wanted to stay longer. The quiet setting, incredible views, access to the Amalfi Coast spots should you desire (without all the madness that is Amalfi or Positano), great hosts and yummy breakfasts too.

This is a very special place that will hold a lot of memories for us. Breakfast in the garden room with beautiful views of the coast was a lovely start to the day. We stayed in the 2 bed house which was great for the 4 of us. The staff are all very friendly & welcoming & we had a wonderful stay.

Villa Il Frantoio is a GEM of a place to stay on the Amalfi Coast. We booked based on past reviews and photos and we are SO happy we were able to stay here. The location of the property is perfect. Located on the mountain side of Praiano overlooking the Mediterranean and Positano, surrounded by gardens —- this hotel is pure bliss.

Everything!!! The hosts were soooo kind, treated us like family and went above and beyond. They gave us so many helpful recommendations for restaurants and things to do — we wish we had more time on this property. Our room had the best views. We loved that we were surrounded by gardens and grass and felt so peaceful. The breakfast was UNREAL— the croissants were the best croissants I have ever had — I will forever be dreaming of them.

We were met at the gate by smiling hosts and showed to our room as well as given advice on where to eat and how to get around town. Extremely helpful and spot on as we tried most of the restaurants recommended and they were great!

We didn’t want to leave so everything was wonderful including the delicious breakfast

Absolutely amazing. GUILLIO and Staff were excellent. The room and balcony were superb. Excellent view and location. Breakfast was second to none as the staff made you feel right at home with everything they did. The pool was excellent with an excellent view. I highly recommend stying here and we will be back again. Make sure you ask about fishing or chartering their boat. We will definitely be doing that next time.

Only negative was the communication on how yo get to the location. My suggestion is for the host to put on the listing that WhatsApp is what they use. It would have saved me walking down about 300 steps with suit cases to get to the facility 🤣

All the staff were amazing - they couldn’t be more attentive or helpful if they tried. Always met us with a welcoming greeting in the morning and gave us recommendations for restaurants which were all great. They were just brilliant The views were just incredible and our room was just as shown in the pictures which was amazing Breakfast options was the best we’ve had as options in the 3 weeks we’ve been in Italy

Cristina hat sich sehr herzlich um uns gekümmert, tolle Tipps gegeben und uns beim öffentlichen Bussystem mit den 3 Linien unterstützt 😉. Und Praiano ist eine erholsame Oase verglichen mit dem Gewusel in Amalfi und Positano - zu empfehlen!

Villa il Frantoio is a treasure in Praiano on the Amalfi Coast. The Villa has fantastic views, nice rooms, and excellent staff and service. Before we got there, we were in communication with Cristina who made sure we were getting to the Villa in an efficient manner and to exactly where we needed to be. Because it is not an easy villa to reach as it is in among the hillside residences. Check-in went very easy with Cristina, and our room did not disappoint. We had a large room with a Queen bed, little dining area, and a large bathroom. The larger bathroom with a shower and tub was nice compared to many of the smaller Italian hotels we stayed in. We also had a nice outdoor area outside our room with 2 lounge chairs. And of course the beautiful views of the Amalfi coast and ocean. That is a 10+ in itself. Each morning, we came down to the breakfast eating area. Where Giacomo and a few others customized breakfast orders of eggs, bacon, omelets', and coffee to your preference. There were also pastries, fruit, meats and cheeses also out. They did such a great job in a friendly manner and made you feel super appreciated. There is also a very nice pool on the hillside with plenty of lounge chairs. And also drinks by poolside that you can have for a very affordable price. There are only 6-7 rooms here (sorry I forgot the exact room), so it is real quiet and feels nice to be out of the business of Amalfi and Positano. Though both are close by. Definite 5 stars!

Everything about this place was perfect. The location was convenient. The staff was very accommodating and the view from the balcony was beautiful. Would 100% recommend to anyone wanting to visit the Amalfi coast.

The hotel was excellent and very clean and comfortable. But very hard to find and to get to. Recommend more signs for directions closer to the roads for guests to know the best location to get dropped off at and which direction to walk from there. I would not recommend for elderly family members because of how many steps you have to climb up to get to the hotel

We like everything about the property. We like the quietness, the space, the view from huge terrace facing the sea, and most of all staff. Cristina was very helpful from the get go. We love the breakfast choices as well. Highly recommend when staying in Praiano.

If you don’t mind going up and down 200 hundred steps few times a day you will enjoy this property. It’s a test to your fitness. There’s another way to avoid this but slightly longer route just ask the staff.

Incredible views! The property was beautifully maintained, but what made it truly special was how homely it felt - clearly family-run with so much heart. We loved waking up to freshly cooked breakfasts each morning, especially the house-made jams using produce grown right on the property, like eggplants and tomatoes. It felt like a genuinely authentic experience. The staff were warm and helpful — from assisting with our luggage to offering great restaurant recommendations, making local bookings, and helping with transport. And the pool? An absolute highlight! Highly recommend.

The only negative about the property is the stairs to get to and from but this is expected anywhere along Amalfi if you’re wanting incredible views. It didn’t matter too much for us :)

A peaceful and natural retreat in an elevated position above the town of Praiano. Perfect place to start the Sentiero degli Dei. The place runs super-efficiently with lovely staff / great comms, a stunning view and lots of fun with guests and staff alike, whilst your accommodation still provides tranquillity and discretion. Beautiful property, the family is quite rightly proud and enjoying the popularity of the area.

If you want the perfect location to say on the Amalfi Coast then you want to stay in Praiano. But if you want to stay at one of the best places in Praiano, this is it. I was a little cautious with the high rating at first, but it proved to be 100% correct. The room was much bigger than I thought and the view on our balcony is something you only dream of. Our hosts, Giacomo, Tony, and Cristina, were amazing. The picture I posted says it all.

This was the best place to stay on the whole Amalfi Coast. The villa is relaxing, very clean, and beautiful. We had the best time here, the staff were so helpful and even went to the effort of making sure we had delicious vegan options for breakfast. Praiano is such a beautiful place along the coast without the crowds of Positano and Amalfi and we loved our time at this beautiful family-run accomodation. Even the stairs weren’t too bad, it’s all worth it for the beautiful view and excellent hospitality

Location is a perfect quiet getaway and has lots of amazing food choices (il Pino, Kasai, Che Bonita) If you desire you can pop over to Positano or Amalfi Town easily by taxi or boat. Little secret, they make their own Lemoncello that is dynamite, preserves are homemade from their garden as are vegetables. Family owned, absolutely anything you need, Giacomo, is your man, other staff like Christina, and Tony are the best.
