The welcome was warm and friendly. Very well situated. Would definately stay here again.

The location is next to Plymouth Hoe. Superb views. Next door is a great restaurant. A short walk away are most major shops a great indoor shopping centre. A whole range of pasty shops including our favorite Ivor Dewdneys.

Parking our car was impossible. Luckily we drove to my brother's and parked there.

Its friendly atmosphere and the location in a quiet spot on the Hoe and only a few minutes walk from the city centre and the Barbican.

Chap was nice enough, Beds were comfortable, great location for the city centre and the barbican/hoe. Biscuits and porridge provided. Shower had good temp and pressure.

The toilets on the landing made corridors smell. No reception, door was left open so went on in, called number when arrived,to be told should of used doorbell outside, seemed a bit unorganised. Some large bags left in corridor on entrance level for the duration of stay - not good for fire safety. Decor old and dated.

Location is great within walkig distance to the Hoe, Barbican and main shops. The guest house is warm, safe and clean. The host is very helpful in supplying maps and other information on the surrounding area. He can also assist in parking permits for the day which are cheaper than paying on the meter. Beds are comfortable. Plenty of tea and coffee in the room. A lovely pub is right next door which does serve food. Ideal for us for a base as we were visiting family and out all day. Very reasonably priced for a quick overnight stay.

Owner was nice and friendly, the area was absolutely beautiful and calm

Nigel was lovely and there were nice touches to the room such as the guide book in the room with a map of Plymouth and the WiFi password. The free WiFi was really handy for looking for things to do and places to eat, though we had good mobile signal too. The way the room was layed out was good so we could all watch telly from the comfort of our beds. It's set in a great location a stones throw from the park or a 10-minute walk to pretty much everything else. The room we stayed in had an ensuite with a shower, but there were two separate toilets down the hall and a toilet with a shower downstairs which was handy as no one had to wait to use a loo in the morning.

It could have been better if there was a fan in the room as it was a bit hot in the room in the evening.

La douche est particulière : le jet du pommeau de douche est orienté trop horizontalement et touche davantage la porte que le corps.

We were very pleased with the facilities in the room. The bedroom was very clean as was the bathroom. The beds were very comfortable and even though we had 3 single beds in the room the space was used very efficiently.

We didn’t expect anything about the room to be better but we didn’t know it was next to a lively wasn’t too bad as it seemed to close early.

Der Hausherr war Mega freundlich und hilfsbereit. Er hat mich sehr unterstützt, obwohl mein Gepäck nicht aufgetaucht ist. Super Mann!

Very comfortable and very good value for money. The location was excellent. Host was very welcoming and the parking was excellent. Room facilities were just what we needed.

If I wanted to be really picky the cleanliness in some areas was not as good. However it certainly didn't feel unclean, and bathrooms, bedding etc were clean and comfortable. For the purpose we needed and value for money it was ideal.

Location is good and easy to walk to Barbican and the Plymouth Hoe for spectacular views

Nextdoor is a pub so ask for the rooms at the back . The room was stuffy and the family room had no fan with 4 people - my son fell sick and they could not quite sleep.

Quite noisy neighbours quite late into the evening so had to close windows to block out noise, then it was way too hot!

Posizione comoda. Camera tipica inglese, letti comodi. Parcheggio trovato fortunatamente di fronte alla struttura, e il proprietario gentilissimo ci ha dato i ticket da esporre per il pagamento parcheggio… per 24 ore 2 ticket da 5 sterline l’uno. Di fronte a pochi passi parco ampio con faro e veduta sul mare. Per il porto e le stradine di negozi 10 minuti a piedi.

Purtroppo in camera abbiamo trovato numerose formiche, che salivano anche sulla scrivania dove c’era l’angolo caffè. E inoltre essendo la camera al piano terra veduta strada vicino a un localino che si animava di sera, abbiamo avuto un po di difficoltà a prendere sonno per i rumori del locale.

L'emplacement près de barbicane permet de rejoindre le port à pied assez rapidement même pour de piètre marcheur. Le parc juste en face offre une vue très agréable.

Le pub bruyant juste tard dans la nuit et l'impossibilité d'ouvrir grand les fenêtres lorsque la chaleur est étouffante. La salle d'eau offre toutes les commodités mais il faut être mince ou habitué à se laver les dents et étant sur les toilettes.

A great location and low price. Also dog friendly. Would recommend for a budget traveller. Nigel was nice and the porridge pot was a nice added touch alongside the tea/coffee/biscuits.

The room was in the attic so very hot although a little dan was supplied. I knew it was not en suite but it was one floor below for toilet and two floors for the shower (although they were very clean)

Der Inhaber war sehr nett und hilfsbereit! Eine sehr nette Geste war der bereitgestellte Wasserkocher mit Kaffee, Tee und Porridge.

Daß wir 20 Pfund Parkgebühren regulär bezahlt haben. Also bitte erst die Unterkunft kontaktieren und kein Ticket vorab lösen. Der Gastgeber hat eine Permission mit Vergünstigung.

Amazing location - right near the Hoe and coast. Next door to a nice pub (not loud). Room was spacious and clean and the bedding smelled so nice and fresh. I had my own bathroom with powerful shower. Very good very nice. Nigel was very lovely and left me and my dog to it. He didn't charge extra for my small dog, which was another bonus. Coffee and tea making bits provided as well as porridge pots (add water), which was ideal for me, and I'm not big on breakfast. Parked across the road from to hotel at £5 per day - Nigel sorted this once o arrived. Can't fault the place and I slept so so well! I've been so comfortable. Thanks Nigel! Xx

Super vriendelijk ontvangen door de eigenaar. Alles werd duidelijk uitgelegd, we kregen een parkeerkaart, die ruim geldig was. Hond was geen probleem. Super tevreden!

Host was friendly. Nice touch with porridge for breakfast. Our twin room was a bit run down. I had plastic plug cover under my bedsheet, luckily found it before night. It was great location but I guess you get what you pay for.

Cleanliness was very poor.

Small clean rooms with shared facilities in the historic Barbican area of the city. Good wifi and tea & coffee making facilities in the room. Ideal for people doing the South west coastal path. Plenty of pubs and food options a 5 minute walk away.

The owner wasn't very friendly at all he seemed quite rude especially towards My partner 😒 He also was letting people on from the pub next door just to use his toilet so I.didnt find it very safe at all.are window also wouldn't close properly so all all night we could here the whistling off the wind So that was waking us all.up at night there was blood stains on the towels Stains on the bed also.stains on the floor of was very put of date needs new decor as everything was falling apart
